Guest Reviews
- Derek (8/5): Clean, comfy and inexpensive - Really good place to stay on a budget. We arrived 2 hours early and were able to check in immediately at no extra cost. Clean and comfortable accommodation.
- Amna (4/5): We have no booking for you!! - We arrived to be told that they didnt work with hotels.com and just took over the place 3 weeks back. They had no details of our booking when this website confirmed it and we showed them the confirmation email. They can accomodated us as another customer cancalled as the last minute. Having travelled from Scotland and tired at 10pm, that was not fun.
Would recommend calling them to check your booking before going even though that seems completely unnecessary when you hold a confirmation email. Otherwise place was clean. Mattress a bit springy on two beds out of three.
- Clare (8/5): - The room was clean and the staff very helpful.
- andie (4/5): Not very nice - The room small.floor creaking bad.sink dirty.bathroom floor had deep hole whichave you sank in. Bed small for a couple. Didn't stay went home.
- Bharat (10/5): Bharat - Very helpful staff
- Catherine (8/5): Very good Guest house! I would recommend it. - The Hotelier was welcoming, helpful and friendly whilst still respecting my right to privacy and time on my own; the room was comfortable and quiet at all hours; for the price I didn't expect the decor, comfort, facilities and general thoughtfulness to be anywhere near as good as it was. I would go there again, from choice any time.
The only thing that was a negative was that on the Saturday morning, the Breakfast room was not open although the opening times said that breakfast would be between 8 am and 9.30. This wouldn't stop me in the future. I would simply ensure that I sort that out the evening before with the Hotelier, who was only too willing to be of assistance.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Comfy beds and welcoming staff, good experience. Would recommend
- Chris (10/5): Excellent Value - I had a pleasant stay in a clean well appointed room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I have no complaints at all.
- Daniel (10/5): Overnight Stay to see Coldplay - Great Experience! - I stayed here overnight whilst attending Coldplay's concert on 4th June. After leaving hotel booking late I found this hotel to be only a 20 minute walk from a direct tram to the Etihad Stadium where the gig was being held, which I found to be especially convenient, and at such a low price as well, given that most hotels near the stadium were either fully booked or charging huge prices. My stay as a whole was practical and comfortable. The staff were very polite and courteous, and the room and it's facilities were lovely. Having a separate communal bathroom was a small concern at first but given this was just an overnight stay I was not fussed and it proved to be more than satisfactory. My night's sleep was comfortable and uninterrupted. I would happily stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Weekend Manchester 30 April-1 Mei - Hotel in een rustige omgeving. Geen verkeerslawaai.
Kamer (15) met uitzicht over een landschap aan de buitenzijde van Manchester.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Turned up early but was still able to check in for later return. Manager very helpful and welcoming. Very easy dealings. Slightly institutional feel and smell about the place. Bed comfy, good shower though shower door didnt properly connect and I suspect this was the reason for the 'soft floor' spot outside. CCTV covered parking area so felt confident about leaving vehicle in large drive. Breakfast service very good and welcoming, prefer a little less oil on the plate but eggs and bacon were excellent, sausage poor and didn't eat, offered mushrooms instead of the beans/tomatoes that I didn't want. and they were good. Would prefer brown/granary etc toast. Easy to get to Sport City/National Basketball Arena which I was in Manchester for - 5 minute drive away (traffic permitting). Internet WiFi good. Thanks Mount Guest House for having me.
- Veronica (8/5): nice hotel - Hotel was fine only problem was the bed was quite small for 2 people, staff was excellent, very friendly
- Amanda (10/5): - The owner was very helpful and friendly
- Elaine (6/5): - The bed was a large single instead of a double, but it was clean and we had privacy and were warm enough
- Alex (8/5): Guest House - 1 night stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very uncomfortable stay - The matress was very uncomfortable, too old! The guest-house needs a good refurbishment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good little b and b - Good room at a good rate. Creaky floorboards in the morning if you are partial to a lie in!
- Robert (6/5): - Hotel clean and tidy but could not get over the shared bathrooms I didn't think hotels were like that any more
