- Jehan (10/5): Super hôtel, très confortable et très bien situé - Super hôtel, la chambre standard duo était très propre et il y avait tout le nécessaire (serviettes, linge, tapis de bain, cintres, coffre, savons, gel douche, shampoing, sèche cheveux). Le personnel est extrêmement aimable et serviable, et le petit déjeuner est très varié. Hyper bien situé dans le centre d’Alger, à 2 minutes à pied de la rue Didouche Mourad où il y a plein de boutiques et restaurants. Je recommande à 100% !

Notre chambre a été gracieusement upgradée, sans supplément financier, mais elle avait une très forte odeur de canalisation, à peine supportable...

Scale all’ingresso della hall rendono difficoltoso l’accesso ai disabili o in ogni caso per portare i bagagli. Ascensore storico ma inutilizzabile se si è su sedia a rotelle. Non ci sono camere al piano rialzato. Integrare la colazione con più cibi salati e caffè espresso.

- Erik M (10/5): - The staff of Hotel Suisse were fantastic and very accommodating. They gave me a room in the top 6th floor, which had 3 beds in 3 rooms with a spacious bathroom. Each bedroom had its own split air conditioner (climatiseur). The location is right near the Agha train station, with easy access to the airport, and is near many metro connections. Also, the location is within walking distance of many restaurants, eateries, and shopping places. The value for this hotel was unbeatable. Also, the staff were able to provide good restaurant suggestions, especially for authentic Algerian cuisine. If one has trouble with stairs, I’d suggest one reserve a lower floor, as the elevator only goes to the 5th floor. The hotel itself is also accessible by many flights of stairs from the main roads. The staff can speak some English, but French or Arabic will go a lot farther! I would recommend this hotel to anyone in Algiers for the first time, or looking for a respite in the heart of the old city.

- Jürgen (6/5): Altes Hotel in zentraler Lage! - Gute Lage, Zentrum, Kasbah und Metro schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Zimmer mit Kühlschrank. Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal mit ausreichenden Englischkenntnissen. Schlechte WLAN-Verbindung! Warmwasserprobleme im 4. Stock, Aufzug aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit Platz für 1 Person und Gepäck. Ausstattung max. 2 Sterne! Frühstück nur Süßes, keine Wurst oder Käse!

- Karen (10/5): Very happy with Hotel Suisse! - Our first visit to Algiers. Hotel Suisse is in the city center, very close to everything we wanted to see and walk to. We arrived very late at night because of a late flight. The concierge was waiting for us and made it easy for us to get settled. All through our stay, the desk staff was helpful. They made sure we got our messages from our Algerian guide, they were polite, we made our limited language skills work, they had a good sense of humor. The beds were comfortable and we slept quite well.The room was clean, well cared for but modest in size, the bathroom was spacious and we had great water pressure. We were able to keep the temperature comfortable and we also had French doors that opened to a small balcony. (Note: we were there in January) Every morning we had a typical "petit dejeuner" breakfast in a spacious breakfast room. I ate delicious fresh oranges, yogurt, croissants and hard boiled eggs. They also had a spread of other pastries as well as some local sliced sausages and cheese, which did not appeal to me. And very good coffee. The hotel had a bar that seemed busy every night (which we did not visit) and an elevator (tiny.) We had everything we needed, we felt safe, we slept well and we were in a very typical Algiers neighborhood. There are lots of hotels in Algiers, as well as some 5 star western style hotels, and generally expensive; Hotel Suisse is definitely on the budget end of the spectrum but we thought it was quite nice and we're glad we chose it. Happy!

Rooms are not that are shown on website as try to give worst at the beginning but if you argue can get better room. Overall It should be more professional attitude, I was expecting
- Verified traveler (6/5): Value for money - The hotel has a great location in the centre of Algiers, within walking distance from the grande Poste and two metro stations. The hotel is old and not all the rooms are renovated, but is clean and maintained. The staff can speak english and are very helpfull. Breakfast is basic but acceptable. Is a good value for money (especially if you pay in the local currency and not with your debit/credit card).

- Mike (6/5): - Leider gab es keine Möglichkeit, nach einer anstrengenden Anreise und Regen in Algier, eine Kleinigkeit im Hotel zu essen oder zumindest einen Tee oder Kaffee zu sich zu nehmen; im Zimmer sind keine Handtücher, kein Papier, um sich etwa die Hände zu trocknen. Vielleicht ist das ja noch den landesüblichen Gepflogenheiten geschuldet (der Hotel-Name Swiss suggeriert einen gewissen Standart, führt hier tatsächlich in die Irre), aber am Morgen gab es in der angepriesenen Restauration nicht mal ein Frühstück, nicht mal Wasser als denkbares Minimum an Höflichkeit oder Respekt - ich ging aus dem Hotel mit einem unguten Gefühl - immerhin erreichte mich kurz vor dem Hinausgehen noch die Erwiderung meines Abschiedsgrußes.

- us built slp (8/5): CENTRICO SIN LUJOS. BUENA RELACION PRECIO-CALIDAD - Una pega importante es que las tuberías de calefacción que pasaban por la habitación hicieron (en mi caso, en la habitación donde me alojé) un ruido continua durante toda la noche, que me dificultó dormir.
- Thomas (2/5): Lost reservation - My reservation did not exist, even though the room was paid for in advance, and hotels.com had confirmed it. I found myself late in the evening after a long day of travel without accommodation. Eventually a new room was found in a new hotel, but the experience was uncomfortable. Unfortunately not the first time...
