Guest Reviews
- Wilfrid (10/5): - It is handy on our travel and reasonable priced for what you get
- Andrew (8/5): Great place for an overnight stay - Cheap place to stay overnight.
The place is getting a little old.
Was easy to find.
Bed was fairly hard but comfortable enough for a night
- Brenda (6/5): - Rates acceptable, cleanliness average, no contact with any staff member at all
- Boopathi (10/5): - Quick check in and check out process
- Leonie (4/5): - No customer service. Unable to connect to wifi. No staff to assist.
- Joyzel (8/5): - Need renovation
- David (8/5): - This Motel for the money was clean, quiet and the bed was so comfy ššš
- Brad (6/5): - Being close to highway one it was a bit noisy
- Jim (8/5): - Good room, good facilities. Would stay again.
- Kelli (6/5): - Great for a pet friendly stay
Rooms do need a bit of an upgrade. Wasnāt the cleanest room or bathroom (shower had other peoples hair on the wall)
- Mick (8/5): - Property clean and tidy good facilities
- John (8/5): - Iām satisfied
- Bruce (8/5): - The location.
- Mr Peter (8/5): - No problems ,
- Verified traveler (8/5): City Dweller - Great place for a one night stay.
- Peter (8/5): - No
- Ian (8/5): - Its out of town and very easy to get to.
- Graham (8/5): - Quite happy.
Easy to find, park next to my room, easy check in, clean and well equiped.
Good price.
- len (4/5): - Nothing, it was too small for 2 people, couldnt walk between the bed and table couldnt open the bathroom door if someone was using the microwave..pet hair other than ours on the bed. So much more but cant be botheted typing
- Robert (4/5): - Extra blankets for the winter time, also an electric blanket would help. You need to update the airconditioner to a more modern and quiter one
- Glenda (4/5): Budget by name and budget by nature - The office is not manned you have to ring when you get there and you are told what room to be in and it is open. The first thing we noticed outside was a hand made polypipe ash tray overflowing with cigarette butts . It had been raining so they were all floating in the water. The front door also had butts on the ground beside it.We are non smokers so were jot impressed. There was no plug for the handbasin and the coffee cups were cardboard takeaway.Whilst the bed was comfy the room was small. The tv diid not work so we rang and someone did come and fix it. The floor tiles in the bathroom were a swirly colour so you could notvreally tellnifvthey were clean. The bathmat was frayed. Ifvyou are a single male tradie you might be happy here but we were glad it was only one night. Compared to the other 5 motels we stayed in on our trip the price was not budget at $120 per night. I booked it because it had a laundry and free wifi. It was a fair way out of town but no traffic noise apart from the truckie in the room next door.
- Janet (8/5): - Contactless
Laundry unavailable.
- Donna (6/5): - Ok Budget hotel.
No staff onsite for checkin/checkout.
- Graeme (6/5): - Easily located and phone check in was fairly straightforward. The motel is undergoing renovations and when finished should rate highly..
- Elena (4/5): - The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good. The room was very old. The floor was worn. The ceiling was patched up but unpainted. There wasn't even ceramic cups for a coffee. There were paper cups. Overall the property is very old. At the price we paid there was far superior properties just up the road.. There was no one in reception at 3 o'clock we had to check in by phone. Very unwelcoming.
- Terrence (8/5): - Was happy warm bed and shower.
- Jacobus (10/5): - Efficient and functional. Fit for purpose. The TV remote did not work and seems to have been broken long ago.
- Mariana (6/5): - I got what I paid for. Tidy, outdated, but it was cheap. No real complaints. Just donāt understand why Australia has to have such cheap and Iāll looked after accomodation and facilities.?
- Kathryn (6/5): - It is what it is...budget. no frills
- Tai (6/5): - very basic
- Susan (6/5): - Very clean. Pet friendly as we were travelling home to Wa with two cats.
One thing I didnāt like was the curtain was too short for the window. You could see in whichever way you pulled it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room had only 2pillows, that is 1each and when I asked for 2 more I was told it would take 3 minutes plus and had to come from the other side of the city.
Water in the jug in the fridge was frozen solid.a bit hard to put in the kettle.
The office was closed and so rang. He would not come out. This happened twice.
Who ever laid the floating wood floor
had no idea how to. Gaps all over it. Bed was hard
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A bit grubby and only over the phone reception. Not very welcoming
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Easy check in done by phone. Room was a good size. Just needs a spare blanket and darker curtains as the room was to lit up !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The lights were very dull. The wooden shelf is dangerous as my husband hit his head and nearly passed out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Basic and clean. No staff on site. Units need some maintenance but ok for overnight stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Size of the refrigerator was a little too small needs to be a little bit larger
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good for a quick nights rest !
- Andrew (8/5): Good Priced Budget Motel - As the name suggests this is a budget motel.
It is clean and is far enough away from the main highway to be quiet.
The bed was comfortable.
The room had a fridge / freezer with a kettle and had tea and coffee provided.
I have stayed here several times by myself on business trips.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - As expected, was budget accommodation. Not far from a large 'on the run' servo that is lit up like a Christmas tree. Please consider upgrading to blockout curtains or blinds.
- Andrew (8/5): Overnight stay in Port Augusta - Just a quick overnight stay.
Bed was comfortable
TV was clear
Air conditioner worked well
Shower was hot and had plenty of pressure.
Fridge and microwave were in the room
- Nikki (4/5): - What you can expect from a budget hotel. But our room had see through curtains so even when inside with just the tv at night you can see straight into the room. We also had people yelling and screaming outside our room all night.
- Andrew (8/5): Clean and Convenient - The room was clean and was located just near the OTR as you arrived Port Augusta.
The room itself was dated but the bed was comfortable and had everything I needed for a 1 night stopover.
The room was surprisingly quiet as well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Used phone to talk to staff directions for room and key given no problems. Room clean and neat bed comfy and nice hot shower.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was very clean and the ammenities were spotless
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was only a very short overnight stay as I was passing through but was a good economy stay with everything you need and very clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Inexpensive, located at the edge of Port Augusta. Old and a bit run down.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very close to high way, had all that we needed.
I like the brick Building, sound proof from Next Door.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Easy to find on highway
Disappointing that taps needed new washers as they dripped all night
Sheets and towels very thin, worn out
I do not like to speak on phone to check in I prefer personal touch
- Doris (8/5): Clean & comfortable room - Room was clean & comfortable. Microwave in room. Stayed here twice in the past fortnight while travelling through Port Augusta on our road trip from Qld. No one at reception during check-in. Spoke to someone using phone who advised me which room was ours and the key was left inside. Was able to use laundry onsite.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Just think that the curtains on windows could be much better. Lots of light fr trucks and highwayand nearby service station. Wasnt sure what to do with key or room when we left as we never actually spoke with anyone in person
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We booked a room for 4 adults online. The room apparently had 2 queen beds. When we arrived at 8pm, the room only had a queen and a single. They were most unhelpful in trying to sort the problem. We had to find somewhere else after a long day of travel. Not impressed.
- Brunolablack (8/5): - noise from the service station trucks entering and leaving
- Brian T (10/5): Augusta stay - It Is what is says a budget hotel
- Daniel (10/5): Rooms clean and tidy and helpful staff. - Location was good, rooms where clean and staff was always helpful on all levels. :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is easy to find. Accessible parking hot showers and pets are welcome
- Verified traveler (8/5): - As the name implies ābudget motelā you donāt expect much for minimal spend, overall clean and comfortable with all of the essentials working properly such as decent bed, working air con, reasonably quiet inside, cold fridge, nice hot water and good size TV. Would recommend for work stop over or budget accommodation to suit needs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was nice clean room! Toilet and shower was good! The whole room was pretty good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was close to town and well organised. Room was basic but comfortable and staff friendly and efficient.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - good position just out of port augusta. what you would expect from a budget motel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Budget motel on the outskirts of Port Augusta.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Tiny rooms but clean , perfect for Budget stay, eateries at nearby BP servo
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little motel at the end of a long drive. Quiet and comfortable bed. Lots of hot water.
- A (6/5): - Light from walkway was not blocked out by curtains.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Last minute booking whilst travelling. Motel was obviously very pet friendly as rooms indicated. Close to facilities.
- Denis (8/5): - Good price clean and good quality bed, quiet location and convenient to the town
- Joel (10/5): Comfortable stay in Port Augusta - Convenient stay, only passing through for work but room was nice.
- Laurel (10/5): - Clean n efficient. Quick check in. Microwave a good feature for the traveller.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Basic $100 room. We take our own coffee but the long life milk supplied was terrible. No globe in bed side lamp. Smoke alarm went off at 5am for no reason??
- John (6/5): - Clean and comfortable. Basic but adequte appointments.
- Ven (6/5): - Not the best place if you do not have own transport. Some cutlery would have improved eating food from the service station 300 metres away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - Nice place , curtains could have been darker
Staff very friendly
- Verified traveler (6/5): Traveling through Port Augusta - Motel is just as you come into city limits. Another five mins into CBD. Set back off highway so not a lot of noise. No one at reception and had to ring a number. Was offered another motel at same price in city but decided to stay. No other buildings either side of motel. Room was quite small but was clean. A notice on microwave that you have to go to reception to get
cutlery and plates. Hot water pressure for shower was not very good.
- Gary (8/5): - Good price for the area. Bit of noise coming from Trucks in area . Room needs a bit of TLC.
- maxygirl (8/5): Overnight stay travelling through to Coober Peedy. - Clean room, friendly service. Had microwave and kitchenette for meal prep. Laundry available. Off the highway and a few minutes drive from the shops.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Wouldnt stay again - This is a very basic property. person at reception was friendly but lacked customer service. Was unable to produce and print a receipt at the time of registration.
Little information in the room about local amenities. Only a card to recommend their "sister" motel at the other end of town and price range.
very basic. Soap only. No shampoo
- B (10/5): A warm evening - Good value for money. In addition to the coffee/tea making facilities. There a microwave oven in the room.
