The check-in process was seamless as well as the checkout process.. unfortunately the amenities that we paid for didn’t work the bathtub would not fill with hot water as the hot water would run ice cold after 2 to 3 minutes I contacted the property manager and the property itself and no one ever got back to me. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of response to this issue as it was the only reason that my fiancé and I chose to celebrate our engagement and was looking forward to being able to relax and enjoy all of the amenities offered in the listing..

• summert823 (10/5): Great stay at The Creekstone - Our room was so cute, clean, and very comfortable. We loved the electric fireplace that was both in the bedroom and bathroom! The common areas were great too - outside fire pits, board games inside, table shuffleboard, and lots of tables and spaces to hang out. It was easy to get to, parking was right in front, and town was just down the street. Would definitely recommend The Creekstone and we will definitely be back!

Lucky the Creekstone had a room available. So comfortable and clean the perfect place to act as a home base for my weekend trip. This hotel is centrally located and well maintained I will definitely be staying here again.

Parking in front, kombucha on taps and snacks available. It operates like an Airbnb in that you check yourself in, but you can reach staff by phone if needed.

• X1486FKvictorb (10/5): Changing place and responsive staff! - So I’m going to give them a 5 out of 5, but let me explain. My wife went to Idylwild to escape and enjoy nature. Before checking my wife and I went on a long hike and we were exhausted. We were given the room and coffee to get in prior to checkin. We got to the room and it was not yet cleaned, I was beside myself. I called the number that I was texted the information and Angel answered right away. I told him that our room wasn’t yet cleaned and he apologized profusely and said he’d be there in 2 minutes. He was there in 2 minutes and said he would personally clean the room and it would be ready in 20 minutes. It was an honest mix up and they didn’t have the room on the list for that day. I don’t believe it happens often or ever before. Angel cleaned our room and brought us a 6 pack of beer because we were exhausted, hot, and just wanted a beer. I think he gave it to us from his own stash! We finally got into our room, nice and clean, the room and the hotel were very charming! We’re thinking of hosting our Grandmothers 100 Birthday there! Great place, great service, friendly staff! Definitely coming back!

• 50dustinl (10/5): Amazing Lodge Escape - I love this place. Comfy and lodge-y and warm and cozy. The customer service was great. The whole lodge is roomy, the rooms are roomy, and the location is woodsy and roomy in the woods and right up the hill from downtown, so it's secluded but close to everything in Idyllwild, including trails and parks, etc. I hope to stay here again soon!
• 987mimij (2/5): Disappointed - This hotel could be so amazing, but it's more like an empty B&B. There is no staff. No bar, no restaurant. Although the room was comfortable, upon retiring the first night , one of the pillows looked like there was food on it, and there were 2 dead bugs under the blanket. We tried to call and email, but no reply, even through the next day, still no reply. If there was an emergency, there would be no way to contact anyone. This place has potential, but I would not recommend it or stay here again.

• Tour668359 (10/5): Last minute getaway - Late morning on a Saturday morning, my husband and I decided to go escape the heat for a night and booked a room at the Creekside Inn. Within moments, they contacted me and provided me with the access code. Beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable room. When we couldn’t find the WiFi code, I texted and got an immediate response. They then checked in to make sure we were able to get on. Definitely will stay again!
• Barbara (8/5): Nice property. Poor service - Fantastic property. Nice rooms. Good location. I tried to call twice with questions, and left a message - to date no one has responded and we are home from our trip already. In the room there is the door hanger to request room service - we did not receive any room service for 3 days except the delivery of clean towels. Also the drinks and snacks downstairs are a nice touch, but ran out on the first day due to another large party and they were not replenished. For the price - I expected better service.
• francine (10/5): - Creekside is a really cute hotel. There is not a front desk. Your codes etc are sent to you via text. You can always contact them if you need something. They have a no children or pet policy yet I saw a baby and a medium size dog staying at the hotel. The location is great as well.

• foxsteff (10/5): Fabulous find ! Fun, comfortable stay. - I stayed at Creekside after attending a music festival in Idyllwild. My stay was wonderful. The lodge is true to their photos . My room appeared brand new . ie Impeccably clean. The bed , linens , & pillows appeared brand new . The bed was exceptionally comfortable . ie Best sleep I’ve had in a long time . Check in is easy/convenient. I will definitely return and recommend this little gem .
• Samuel (10/5): - The Creekstone is the nicest hotel in Idyllwild, bar none. If you're looking for an upscale experience for a reasonable price, this is it. Fully renovated property just a short time ago, this place is really nice! The front deck/patio area is awesome for chilling out in the evening and cranking the automatic firepits. Rooms are modern and well appointed. What's unique about this place is there are no keys, no on site staff most of the day, and everything is done via Smart Locks, including the front door to the property. Once your reservation is confirmed, you receive a code before you check in, and that controls access to the property as well as your room. If you need anything, you can text the property manager, and they take care of it. The downtown area (shopping and dining) is only about a mile away, so you can walk if the weather is cooperating, otherwise it's a quick drive down the hill. Overall just an outstanding experience!!! Oh and bonus, they have a commercial Ice Maker downstairs in the back lobby! Gratis and awesome, summer or winter. Casper mattresses, nice fridge's, and K-Cup coffee makers too :) Large screen TV, views out every window, and a running creek across the street. If you don't like staying in an old cabin, or really old Motels, this is the spot for you :)) Highly recommend it, great experience.

• Venus (9/5): Great value and location! - Great stay for a couple looking to explore what Idyllwild has to offer while being relatively close to the downtown area. About 1-2mi from town and it's walkable if you are athletic enough. Close by to Humber Park trail and you can hear a nearby creek running from the outside. Gas firepit out in the common front deck PLUS a hot tub that was totally unused on the 2nd floor outside. Fridge, freezer, great quality TV. We got the fireplace and it added a lot to the romantic scenery. Would definitely come back! Very thin walls, easy to hear background noise of other rooms when walking out in the hallway or other common areas. Rooms are very close to each other. I could always hear other room's television on faintly from the inside of our room. Shower has no door or curtain and was surprisingly not an issue, but would've been nice to have extra towels. No staff on-site, however the GM is available 24/7 and provides her personal cell.

I have stayed here several times over the past two years and can say that it is in a different category from most other places in IDYLLWILD that are older and not remodeled. I would highly recommended the Creekstone! The location is quiet yet close to town, super clean, nice furnishings and amenities. Hard to get better in IDY.

• KReinika (10/5): Cross between and Inn and Airbnb *Darling place - I decided to go to Idyllwild by myself for the weekend to get away. Stumbled across this darling Inn. It was almost like an Airbnb. You help yourself in by entering a code into the Lobby as well as a code for your room. There is someone in the lobby from 3:00p - 5:00p to help with any questions. I was delighted when I was greeted with a glass of wine! It’s a great place for couples or just come up by yourself! Sleep in, enjoy the lobby, bring snacks, bring wine, bring a puzzle, go on a hike…the town is about 2 miles away if you want to go eat or shop. Very comfortable and just darling decor! I had a room with a fireplace that added to the ambiance too! Just come!! You will love it!!

• M (10/5): - We wanted a quick, comfortable, relaxing getaway for a couple of days, and that's exactly what we found at the Creekstone Inn. The newly renovated property is tastefully decorated with quality finishes, from the beautifully tiled bathrooms to the comfortable mattress and bed linens. The cozy lobby area has a fireplace, sofas, and games. The hotel is not staffed 24-7, but the key code system to get access to the building and our room worked seamlessly, and in the afternoon friendly staff poured happy hour wine for us and other guests. We highly recommend Creekstone Inn and will definitely return.

• jeanninerm (10/5): Fantastic Inn w/ luxury amenities and great service - Such a fun, eclectic inn located at the end of the village shops, restaurants, etc. Aralia and Nathan provided incredible service making sure check-in went smoothly and we had everything we needed. The facility was so clean and we loved the cheerful vibe. Highly recommend.

• Kathy (2/5): - The manager asked me 4 times, in separate conversations, what work my service dog performed and if I had a disability. One time should have sufficed but he said he’d worked as a TSA agent and did not believe my responses. He also said I wasn’t truthful when I told him I stayed there last year, which I did exactly a year ago. He then read me a long dissertation on ADA rules and told me the property had cameras in my room and in the hotel that they would be watching to make sure I, as a service dog handler and my dog were “at all times in complete compliance.” The rules are undestandable and there same in many properties but I’ve NEVER been grilled in this way before. He and another staff member told me on the phone, before my arrival, that if either I or my dog were in any way out of compliance they would remove us without refund. This badgering made me feel so singled out for my disability, and ultimately harassed, that I forfeited my payment for the first of two nights, delayed arrival until midnight the second night and left before 8 am. There is no one working onsite. My experience was that the place feels like a soulless motel. Will not return.

• Matthew (10/5): Great stay in Idyllwild - Had a great stay here. Looks newly remodeled. Cozy and festive during the Christmas season. Main lobby has gas fireplace, shuffle board, board games, plenty of seats and tables for hanging out, music, microwave, plastic utensils and paper towels and plates. Unfortunately the free kombucha was out during the entire stay. I was in room 202. It was large and well decorated. It has a TV, electric fireplace, and a Keurig machine. Bathroom was spacious but the fan vent was super loud, sounded like it was breaking down. One bulb was out in the bathroom. Some of the room amenities seem missing or just lacking. No hand soap in the bathroom, 2 plastic cups, but only 1 paper cup, 4 K-cups, 2 of those napkin/coffee creamer/sugar combo takeout packets seemed cheesy, and no tea bags. However, the mini fridge in the room works amazingly well. Most mini fridges suck, but this one kept food and drinks extremely cold. This place has no onsite staff which I'm okay with. They operate like an Airbnb. Keyless entry, and everything is communicated via phone. Overall I enjoyed this place and my stay and wouldn't mind staying again.

• Brian (10/5): - Clean and well appointed room. Quiet area. Plenty of in room entertainment options available. Numerous dining options nearby (within a half mile). The bed was very comfy. Spacious bathroom with a walk in shower.
• Daniel (5/5): Passable - The room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. It had a funky modern vibe some might like, but it felt really out of place in this location. There is literally no staff. Everything is done over text. Very weird. Utterly impersonal. Not sure there is even an emergency number. The locks use a code - OK - but they don't lock automatically. It's really easy to walk away and leave your room unlocked. I did this accidentally several times. I have never seen any hotel lock ever, that did not automatically lock when you closed the door. Dangerous! The room has no microwave or indeed any plates, glasses, silverware, wine glasses, anything. There is an extensive lobby area that has... Nothing. If you brought back leftovers, I hope you brought a fork, and like to eat it cold. The bathroom is weird. There is a funky sink with a literal three foot wide basin - but zero counter space. Like literally zero. The floor is stone tile whick looks nice but is utterly freezing on cold mornings. Vinyl tile would have been so much more comfortable. The room advertised a fireplace. It had a silly electric "picture of a fire" thing. A mountain town that advertises a fireplace, should come with a bundle of wood. Finally the bed frame sticks out at the corner in a way that both my wife and I kept on stubbing our toes and slamming our legs into the corners. We both have bruises.

Great value for money for a room in town and great flexibility over weekend of not having to have a 2 nights minimum. No services, no food/drinks, no staff and a ghost town feeling as the lounge area is geared for a lot of guests and services but bizarrely feels like ghost town. Waste of a space and really needs to reconsider how to best make use of the space.
• 509camillaw (10/5): Relaxing and inviting place to stay - My husband and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary in Idyllwild, staying at The Creekstone. We appreciated the easy check in (allowed after 3:00, which is a bit earlier than usual), the games available in the lobby, and the kombucha on tap. We played a few games on the shuffleboard table and enjoyed the pretty fireplace in our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and quiet. It was just a few minutes drive to the main shopping/dining area too. We really enjoyed our stay.

• Ali (10/5): Easy, beautiful and comfy stay! - Absolutely gorgeous remodel! Every detail was thought out. We really loved playing shuffle board and helping ourselves to the local kombucha they provided. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and cozy.
• Julie (4/5): - The place was completely self-service. There was no one to greet us when we arrived so that we could visit with them about the area. We never saw anyone there dureing our stay. Additionally, the lighting in the bathroom was very poor with one light completely burnt out in the light above the sink and another of the 3 light fixture flickering of and on. Additionally, it took a long time to get hot water. There was no desk or desk chair. Only one small chair in the entire room. So it was very uncomfortable. There was no one to ask for another chair either, though we tried texting the phone number given to us. Overall, dissappointing..
• Verified traveler (10/5): 5 star experience - We had an amazing time because this hotel is awesome! Check in was easy and convenient. The hotel is beautiful, modern and immaculate. It was so quiet and relaxing that we did not know other guest were there until we looked out at the parking lot. We stay at a lot of places and this hotel is in my top 3. We will definitely be staying here often.
• whollyc2023 (2/5): All Fluff, no substance - All fluff, no substance. The windows are original and have all been painted shut. Only air conditioning for this Inn when you are in Nature. Bathroom sink has no counter for toiletries. Water sprays out of shower onto floor. Downstairs entry for show only. I travel to Idyllwild twice a month and I will not return.

• coril211 (10/5): Love The Creekstone Inn !! - What a great place! Self check in was a breeze. Our upstairs fireplace room was spacious and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, gorgeous shower, modern decor , free parking and close to town are all things that made our stay wonderful! We will definitely be back !!

When we needed something we were asked to text the manager. That was efficient as the management responded in due time. The security system was unique as we used a personal code to enter the building and our room. As a world traveler, I always like to be greeted by a person when I arrive at a new place. This newly remodeled inn lacked the friendly touch.

• Caroline (4/5): - The place is very cute and the concept of no staff onsite works as long as you don’t have any issues. The book in your room will explain that if you have any questions or problems you can text the manager! Unfortunately the exhaust fan in the bathroom was keeping getting on all night long even after turning it off many many many times. I textes the number several time . My messages were delivered but no one answered. I emailed the “hotel” but no answer …. I couldn’t call since I had no network in the mountains and they don’t have a WhatsApp number. I haven’t slept at all the second night!!!! As I am writing this review, no one got back to me. Be aware that there is absolutely no help or service of any kind and you are on your own if anything goes wrong. The other throng is the hotel is hyper connected and you are not allowed to unplug any device like the white noise or else. Overall disappointing even though the place is clean, neat and very cute. 😢

But the minute you leave the grounds, your phone is working. I would stay there again. I definitely recommend this place.

• Lois (8/5): I would stay again - The Creekstone has been through a significant remodel. The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the place was very clean. Quiet location. No staff on site. I was contacted the morning of the reservation with check in instructions which were very easy to follow. Only negative is the soundproofing of the room. When people were in the hallway you could hear every word being said from inside the room.

• Jeff (10/5): We’ll be back. Our new go to place in Idyllwild - Excellent modern design. Comfortable setting. No way to speak with any staff. Needed more towels but no way to get them with no staff on site.
• Hancock (10/5): It was a great place to stay. - I loved the decor of the entire property, including our room. I liked using the access code method vs. Card or key. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Loved the fireplace in our room. Will definitely stay there again! Would definitely refer friends/family to you. A larger shuffleboard table!
• Mark (8/5): - Wonderfully decorated and clean room and lobby with an excellent bed. There was a "Fun" sign above the bed with lights--but several of the lights were out. Also, there was a cold brew machine in the lobby listed to be in operation between 9:00 AM--5:00 PM but all you got out of it was air. If it's not going to be in operation they should remove it.
• Rhonda (10/5): - Except for the hiccup at the beginning, everything went very well. They email you your code to get in the main door and the door to your hotel room. There is no or very poor cell reception on must of the drive up there, so we didn’t get the message about the code. After that was cleared up, then our code to the main door didn’t work. They luckily have a phone # to call and a gentleman came right over to help fix the problem. The rest of the stay was exceptionally nice and we enjoyed the indoor shuffle board in the recreation area. Rooms felt like they were brand new and the decor was very fun! Loved it!

The rooms here were wonderful, nice communal space inside, and a nice out front common patio. While the intersection location is a little odd, the place is a great central walking location to all the good stuff near by! Highly recommend dinner at Cafe Aroma a block away.
• MarySueSanDiego (10/5): Creekside Inn revisited - Nicely upgraded since our last visit, pre-Covid. Rooms completely redone, bathrooms lovely. Walk to good restaurants, near center of Idyllwild. If you can go mid-week you will save money. Ample parking.

• Sophia (7/5): Good - Very clean! I'm pretty particular when it comes to cleanliness. If a hotel is dirty it ruins the trip. So I was very glad to arrive to a clean room. It was my own fault because I didn't read the description close enough since it was a last minute trip, but the images shows the cabins with full kitchen and washer/dryer and the main lounge area which appears to be in the room but are not.
