Guest Reviews
- prestoninaj (2/5): No. Just no. - I stayed here after the hotel I had reservations at was oversold. I am now seeking with the corp office of the oversold hotel to get a refund for this flea-bag. To be fair, I didn't see any fleas or evidence of them, but the flea-bag vibes were there.
- Dustin (2/5): BLOODSTAINS - 2ft by 1ft BLOODSTAINS one left side of mattress, 6inch bloodstain on the right side. Only one light in the room that worked & cobwebs everywhere.
- blakea679 (2/5): Eh - I'd stay elsewhere. Staff was not kind and the rooms were very old and musty smelling. The whole motel was sketch and it seemed like a lot of homeless and skeptical people like to stay there. Thankfully only had to stay there for one night.
- pnilesk (4/5): Weekend GetAway - Well we checked in wi-fi was great that’s what got them 2 ⭐️ , other than that cigarette burns on the sheets and blankets and mind you this was a non smoking room , hair in the bathroom and sink , there was ice but your going to have to walk back to the office to get it , THERE IS NO FREE BREAKFAST HERE ,even though it says “ Continental breakfast“ it’s just gross coffee in the office .outdated if you just need a place to crash for the night never again
- 980lc (10/5): Quiet, cozy, accommodating owners. A perfect place to self-quarantine during a pandemic, while still being able to work! - I move to Avenue Motel from another motel that had lousy wi-fi. I was desperate to be able to work, needed good internet. The owners of Avenue Motel set me up with ethernet! This motel has a row of 1 story building - no one above or below. Log cabin style, solid walls made for the quietest motel I've ever stayed at (other than some street noise). Spacious room, well furnished and supplied made for a comfortable week while holed up during covid19 pandemic.
- Q281ZJtomw (10/5): An assignment saver - Stayed from April 2018 to August 2018 for a travel assignment. This was the only hotel within an hour's drive of Chelan that would allow me to have my cat. One of the oldest hotels in Wenatchee and showing its age, but is clean and quiet and management very helpful. Nice pool, no laundry but several laundromats are available in the area. Grocery stores, fast food, some nice sit-down restaurants and a mall reasonably close. Best Hotel wifi I've seen with no slowdowns and only 2 interruptions in the 4 months I was there. Nice selection of TV channels.
- Sylvia (8/5): - It overall was a pretty good place to stay a bit out-dated and restroom needed to be swept better and beds were a little uncomfortable but I liked it for the price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Flat out gross worst place ever staff rude parking sucks just plain gross
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not as bad as others have indicated in their reviews.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No towels for hot tub/ No ice
- Nol (2/5): These guys put the "B" grade in a Budget motel - The place looked not too bad on the outside by pics and when I drove up but my room was so ancient and quite dirty. The comforter and sheets gave me the willies. The bathroom had not been cleaned that great as some big wad of something was left beside toilet. And the shower head itself barely poured out any water! Was quite awful. They also mention free breakfast to entice but their way of thinking a breakfast should be just a muffin and juice! They could not give me a reason why no yogurt, no fruit like a simple banana. Just that would have been nice. 1 out of 10 stars! That is being nice.
- Nolpreen (4/5): Nice looking outside of motel and check in clerk was nice BUT wow old school... - My room is super old school and ancient. A bit dirty too but if I can sleep cause at least there is a fan to draw out noise that makes up for some tissue missed and left in bathroom etc and just a really ancient old room.
- O9523CMmt (2/5): If you like meth deals and blood stains on the wall... - Had an impromptu stay in Wenatchee during a big dog show and this was the last motel with a vacancy. Place was so dirty- we stripped all bedding off and laid our camping sleep pads on the mattress so that our sleeping bags wouldn't have to touch anything. There were blood splatters on the wall, the floor mat for the bathroom was dirty and we opted to use our own clothes to dry off with after showering. Spent the entire night trying to not touch anything. Easily the most disgusting place I've ever stayed in after 3 decades of roadtripping and backpacking.
- Randy (8/5): Comfortable - Location, parking, comfort and cleanliness all good
- Gary (8/5): Great central location near downtown Wenatchee - My family had a wonderful stay at the Avenue Motel. We loved the rooms on grade (no stairs to climb) and quick access to get things in and out of the car. The manager was very nice and even helped us trouble shoot the lock on the hot tub room one evening. The room was sparkling clean, warm and the beds were comfortable with with soft sheets.
- Morgan (6/5): Not bad. Not the best, but not the worst. - It was a short stay but enjoyable. No real issues. For the price it was worth it.
- Arun (6/5): A very old motel - Most of the amenities are very old. Has breakfast but just muffins, orange juice and coffee.
- Shawn (2/5): Dirty and disgusting!!! - This was by far the dirtiest and nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. My wife, myself, and our 3yr old son needed a cheap room for the night as Leavenworth was completely booked.
I knew the place wasn't going to be great, but it was down right disgusting.
When we checked in, the key cards were sticky and dirty and the lady said it was just the cleaning solution they used. Gross! Then when we got in the room, it was filthy. The bathroom had dirty towels on the floor, reared of smoke (was a non smoking room), and the beds were still messed up from the previous guest. To top it off, there was a huge ball of human hair on the floor and half eaten food all over the fridge. When I complained to the office, the lady just shrugged her shoulders and said her cleaning person must have not had time. She then gave me a new room and never offered anything in the way of an apology. I asked for a discount or money off, and she said no it was policy. She would not even give me my money back so we could find a new hotel elsewhere and said we were past cancellation.
I feel so dirty having stayed there....
The only upside was the bed was moderately comfortable... Although even the new room stunk like old musty unwashed bedding.
- Robert (6/5): Convenient motel in Wenatchee - Conveniently located near the Convention Centre, it was a decent motel in a pinch. You get what you pay for. The room was clean but run-down, but perfectly adequate for a motel for a few days.
The continental breakfast is a Costco muffin and orange juice.
- Matthew (2/5): Dirty, smelly, nasty room. Do NOT GO HERE!!! - The room was dirty. Garbage and food was left from the previous tenant. The TV was too small. The beds were so UNCOMFORTABLE that you could not sleep on them.
- 102randyk (6/5): Last time - Stayed here many times over the last decade and the place was always reasonable funky mom-and-pop economy priced dated rooms motel. But it looks like it's changed owners or operators once again. The coffee started later and the breakfast is just a muffin now. AND this time the room was not as clean as it had been in the past and someone had literally used the toilet and not bothered to flush. We almost picked up and left but decided just to call it the last time we stayed here....
- Diana (6/5): Work In Progress - Went to visit family and stayed at the Avenue Motel. This was our second stay, but our first for this length of time. The management is doing a lot of work, but the room still needed to be updated badly. The carpet was worn, the pillows were hard, and the continental breakfast consists of a muffin. Considering the prices for other places in the area, tho, it was fine.
- James (8/5): - Great restaurant across the street with pool tables. Quiet spot, older but maintained.
- Verified traveler (6/5): room was a nice size - The room was spacious. Bathroom had a good size shower, but no bathtub. Room was pretty dated, but the bed was good. Refrigerator was not cold.
- Christa (8/5): clean hotel - quiet clean restful
- judy (6/5): In a pinch - Had last few rooms though we tried to find other accommodation. Room dated, cracked floormouldings, dust on lights, pet cockroach in bathroom was a surprise-sent him to sewer, tv remote didn't work, but manager replaced with master remote-very nice of him. Next door occupants' screaming fight at 5:30am was not pleasant to be woken by; at least it ended quickly. Pool looked very clean.
- Michael R. (6/5): great for the price - older motel but nice
- JimG65 (8/5): Great night - This is a small motel. It is nothing fancy ,But it is very clean and very quiet. We stayed one night as we were just passing thru town. It is a little dated but if you want a good nights sleep then this place is good for you. The only thing I see wrong is that there is no coffee in room. But every thing else for you. We will stay there again.
- emybusta (4/5): One night in Wenatchee - We were looking for an available hotel in Wenatchee and only this place and another one were open so we chose this one. One of the only things I can say positive about the place was that it was clean and air conditioning was cold. But the sink, furnishings and carpet had not been updated in a long time. The faucet on the sink was loose. The pillows were flat and the sheets were not soft at all. The towels were small and appeared to be the cheapest quality you can buy. There was also no hair dryer in the room and the refrigerator didn't even feel cold. I don't know what was wrong with the outlets, but anything I plugged in fell out of the wall. For $135 a night I would have expected a lot more. And the "free breakfast" is a muffin.
- EddieM1922 (8/5): Good value budget motel - Great value budget motel - Big room, comfy bed, no undue traffic noise, best of all not too expensive. Yes the place looks a little dated, but otherwise it's a nice place to stay (I stayed for two nights).
- FreddyRob (10/5): Most peaceful and enjoyable experience!!! - I stayed here for a night to relax and have some peace. I wanted a queen bed but they only had one room left with two beds. I almost left but something said stay anyway. I'm glad I trusted my instincts because it was well worth it. Everything was clean and in order, from the bathroom to the refrigerator. The microwave was spotless and everything in the room worked. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to check out, buy I'll be back for that same room. I didn't swim in the outdoor swimming pool but I did use the indoor hot tub. So relaxing! The hot tub is small but I got in 20 minutes before it closed at 10pm. It felt like a mineral bath, perfect warm temperature, and no strong chlorine smell. Next time I'll get in earlier. There's a sweet couple from India that runs the place, and they just radiate with hospitality, peace, joy, and compassion. I see why they only had one vacancy left. There's just something about the place, and the couple that makes it the most enjoyable experience.
So peaceful!
Blessings,
Freddy Robinson
- ada (4/5): - Never again. Couldn't check in till 2pm. Limited tv and amenities.
- vickib275 (8/5): Great Staff! - I needed a place to stay with my sister following her back surgery, as her home was not condusive . First I upgraded to a room with 2 beds, then we moved to a new room closer to the wifi router for better connection. The internet is very slow, which was somewhat frustrating. The staff was very helpful and patient with us. We also received a good rate for my small therapy dog.
- thomasi846 (8/5): Avenue Motel is a good place to stay in the apple capital! - I enjoyed staying here. The staff was friendly and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was not bad but could have had higher pressure. Also if you are over 6 foot 5 you may rub your head on the ceiling of the shower. I do not know if all of the showers have dropped ceilings but assumed the may,
- 49courtneyc (8/5): Nice location and clean - My husband and I stayed here while we were up in Leavenworth for Oktoberfest. The location is nice. It's near major stores and close to the malls. The room was clean and it had a really nice shower. It wasn't very busy so it was quiet. The pool and hot tub looked good. We didn't eat breakfast there; it was oj, coffee, and muffins. Dona Juanas Tamale is just up the street with great food. Hastings is just across the street.
- donaldw917 (8/5): Seek a motel room for the night - Due to a large fire in our home area. All motels were booked and the Avenue Motel was the only one that had a vacancy. My wife is in a wheelchair and we can't stay in many motels due to the special requirements that it requires.
Taking a chance, We inspected the room and to our surprise it was more serviceable that many higher rated motels and even though not required my wife was able to wheel into the bathroom and up to the vanity counter to brush her teeth. This is a rarity in motels we have stayed in.
- 597mickey (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - Horrible wildfire in our area. Showed up around midnite, 2 adults, one cat. He let me look at the room first to be sure the air conditioning worked so that was the reasoning we were not able to get our $ back when we tried 1/2 later. There was only one working light, the bathroom (where we had to house our poor kitty) never cooled down in that half hour and kitty was freaking out and breathing hard. The bathroom was FILTHY, at one point I thought kitty had pooped in her bed or box, but it was just the bathroom. Pictures in disarray, uncomfortable everything. Owner took advantage of the fact that I was crying about the possibility of losing my home...no compassion when we wanted to leave to find a cooler place for our kitty, Definitly not from Wenatchee..
- 286paulan (6/5): Memory Lane Motel - My family has stayed at The Avenue Motel for years and have NEVER been disappointed. We stay for Family Reunions, Class Reunions, Funerals and just a nice stay over when traveling in the area. The price is perfect, the rooms are a little dated, but it brings back wonderful memories and it is almost straight across from "Joes Log Cabin", which was built and operated back around 1934's that my Dad and his parents built and the name was Taylors Log Cabin. So, go and enjoy both!
- Carlosrowley (10/5): Pleasure - Perfect road trip motel ! Pool, tub, and very friendly owners !!!! It brought us back to the good ole days of a fun road trip ! Even had an ice machine and good location in town. Many restaurants nearby to choose from.
- 677scotta (2/5): Poor Management & Service - Stayed for 3 weeks until apartment was ready. House keeping sucked, Toilet plugged, water pressure low, continental breakfast a muffin and OJ if he put it out which he didn't every day. and if you were the first there, he only puts out 4 muffins. room with kitchenettes but no cooking utensils.
- Deguida (6/5): Adequate and Didn't Stink - The non-smoking room smelled like a non-smoking room--a very nice surprise. The bed and shower were fine. Room was reasonably clean. Small kitchenette with stove, tiny fridge, microwave, and toaster. Woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. There were no outlets in the bathroom for hair dryers and such. Only two pillows on the bed and two towels in the bathroom. Got more towels but didn't ask for more pillows.
