Guest Reviews
- Gina (4/5): - Our room got flooded because the air conditioning. Once reported they took a long time to come to the room. Threw towels on the floor and told us it would be fixed the next day. Didn’t move us to another room. No air conditioning all night and didn’t reimburse us.
Y fruta .
- Carmen (10/5): - Very good and enjoy the days I was there
- Liliana (10/5): - Away from everything
- RUTH (10/5): - Cleanliness, it is the second time here and this is what I prefer cleanliness in all areas of the facility
- kevin (8/5): - Nice beach resort, but far from everything else... and too many flies.
- Robert (6/5): - Make sure when booking to find out about AC and extra charges when arriving at hotel. That is not advertised and should be. Advertised is all taxes and fees included and that is not so. Don’t be surprised to pay extra. Email with that explanation landed in my inbox 30 minutes after check in.
Not a happy camper.
- claudia (10/5): - We love the pool and beach
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worse worn down hotel ever in middle of nowhere - It looks nothing like the pictures, the hotel is completely worn down, I have not had such a disgusting food in a long time . And it’s middle of nowhere so u can’t even get anything else. Some of the staff I must say is friendly but then others are very unfriendly. Almost nobody speaks English .
- Edgar (4/5): - The hotel is not properly maintained. It is very expensive for the little it offers
- Belen (10/5): - La atención y actividades
Tiene playa privada y limpia
- JHONNY (8/5): - Good
- daniel (4/5): - poor service. nice place
- Mehmet (2/5): - Booked for three nights and no internet at all for the whole three days. No help either from the hotel or Expedia. Be aware that internet and customer service is terrible around here. Getting into the hotel is very challenging from the highway. No real proper road pretty much.
Not good at all.
- Ralph (2/5): - Horrible! This is the first time my family and I stayed at VPX hotel since the management change and will never stay here ever again. Previously all A/C worked, the hotel was well maintained and the food was excellent about a 3.5 to 4.0 star hotel. All rooms A/C did not work and the weather was 88 degrees F, had to pay for all meals at the time of order instead of at checkout and the staff definately catered to the lower Peruvian standards. Also concerned over the electrical connections...
Again, DO NOT STAY HERE, this company lost a valuable and loyal customer.
- Miguel (2/5): - No AC in the rooms, the facility, and its furniture looked damaged, and there were no towels for the rooms.
- Susan (6/5): - Counter support assisted us with an accesible room near to the pool
Areas behind main areas had a very bad smell due to bad drainage system
Employees were nice to us but looked tired as if their work hours exceeded 8 hour shift
- Jose (2/5): - No AC, intermittent internet, dirty rooms and bathroom, the place is a mess, find somewhere else to go.. I saw lot of people complaining.. this place is a not worth it
- Jose (2/5): - We got in the hotel at 3:15 pm and we never got the room it is 6 pm they said the room was not ready
- Miriam (6/5): - We found black worms by the sink, a few of them, looked like parasite
- Freddie (4/5): - The listings of fines that you can read on the welcome card in each room made it an easy environment
- Carmen (8/5): - The pool was excellent as well as other installation. But the checking and checkout service was too slow
- omar (6/5): - Not worth the price
- omar (6/5): - Unorganized
- Jessica (2/5): - The hotel is dirty, there are cockroaches in the rooms, the bathrooms are very dirty. While checking in, I heard two people complain about the cockroaches in their room. I will never go back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Weather was cool this time of year.
- BigE (10/5): - This is one of my favorite places to get away from Lima. This is the third time my family and I stayed at this location and will continue to stay as the facilities, staff and good are excellent. Most important is the excellent security for their guests. Great staff, perfect breakfast and a family fun location!
- Sid (10/5): Nice - Pleasant
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was in great condition. Clean, no smell of fungus or humidity and the view was great. It was nice to have a balcony to sit and relax on. Upon check-in, there was an issue about the payment so we had to wait for about half an hour, and would have been nice if everything was in order before our arrival. Although we did not go during high season and during the hot summer, the weather was nice and warm, but the swimming pool is extremely cold. The pools in the Caribbean, where the weather is even more hot and humid, are much warmer than this one. It would be great if the pool was a lot warmer in the future. I would love to go back but again, the temperature of the pool was too cold.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is nice but very secluded from sites and cities. Food is amazing but wait times for drinks can take up to 45 minutes and food about 2 hours. In the off season this resort is very quiet and bar and restaurant close early. Pack warm! Rooms are slightly chill / damp.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were there in the off season so there were very few guests in the hotel; but the staff was still attentive and had plenty of things available. I never felt like we were being short changed due to the low occupancy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was perfect and the beach is beautiful. The service could not be better. I wish there were more chairs at the beach. We could not get a chair on Saturday and all the pool chairs were also taken. The pool is a bit loud with lots of kids. Overall I would return tho.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They charge prices of a luxury hotel, but clearly have no true luxury experience. We don’t ask much from hotels, but at this price, they would have more of a consumer focus. For example, they made us leave watching the sunset so we could pay a 4$ bar charge. They don’t let you leave the property until they have checked the minibar to see if you have taken a coke. We asked for an opener for a bottle of water, they appeared very scandalized about it, and had a staff member wait outside the room while we used it. They also appear to overwork there employees as the same people were working in the early morning as late evening. I would strongly advise against this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pool, and bar. I would recommend other activities for family and teenagers.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice property, but not at all worth the money- around $230 with taxes, which weren’t included in Expedia. I really don’t like surprises in the form of unexpected taxes or resort fees.
- Karen (10/5): Nice family hotel with a beach front. - The hotel is perfect for families who want to go some time to Asia, where many Peruvians spend the summer season. The area has many private beach houses and apartments, and for what we found, this was the only nice hotel available in the area that had a beach front. The hotel was nice. They had a lot of activities to entertain the family. It is not quiet. If you want to relax, it’s better to stay at the beach area, since there are contests and activities going on around the pool. The swimming pool has different areas with different dephts. Overall, we had a good time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The ceviche made me sick. The food selection and quality was poor. Several plates were not available.
A
- maria (8/5): - The location is excellent near the shopping center and good restaurants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice - Clean and relaxing.
- Dru (4/5): - Located in a stark depressing environment. Exterior paint chipping, one stairway crumbling and rust on all railings. Overall feeling was unsafe. Room interior was nice and clean. Staff was very nice and food was excellent. Beach was covered with trash and dead wildlife including a very large bloated dolphin. Room was overpriced for accommodation
- Luis (8/5): Nice rooms, excellent beach. - Nice place to stay, quiet, rooms are plenty of space. You will enjoy your stay is summer or out of season.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel - Everything was great. I would recommend to heat the water so that we can enjoy the pool area even in cold weather. Music was missing but it can be fixed right away.
Will comeback for sure.
- Kev traveller (10/5): the best confort bed, pool and front to the beach. - the best confort bed, excellent facilities and good staff.
- Adam (8/5): Good location, nice facilities - All very nice for a weekend.
Strange lack of glasses in rooms.
Food generally good but variety needed for lunch day to day by the pool.
Service was very good.
Something stinks in room 141,perhaps a dead animal or sewer gas leak. Other rooms don't have a smell.
Strange lack of late checkout options. We would have stayed for lunch on the last day,but had to leave at 12.
Shame that the breakfast chicharrón de chancho, only on a Sunday, was so bad. Hard and dry.
Thanks for a great Easter weekend.
- Bertha (10/5): Para recomendar - It was my first stay I will repeat is a very comfortable Hotel with a nice location and great pool area.
- J (10/5): - Very nice hotel
The view ie espectacular
Hotel staff incredible courteous
I will come back very soon
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Check in process a disaster. Room not ready at 3pm. Beach towels super old, stained and scarce. Staff is nice but needs urgent training to be a beach resort
Systems need updating. They do everything by writing things down with multiple signature signing for a beer at the pool. Pool needs better cleaning...
- Edwin (4/5): Unorganized - They didn’t know we had a reservation. I’m guessing it was more of Expedia’s fault. The staff and facility was good but definitely need more supervising and direction.
- Abdelmadjid (10/5): Recommended beachside hotel. - One of the very best hotels we've stayed in. Staff was competent and helpful. Room was modern, tastefully decorated and well outfitted (2 TVs, refrigerator, A/C, safe, etc.). Pool was nice and clean, with many amenities (towels, bathrooms, many chairs). Most importantly, beach access was fantastic. Clean sand and water was warm enough for swimming in late may. Definitely recommended. Not much to do around the hotel, but the restaurant's menu offered plenty of choice. There seems to be a lot of crickets on the region, so care must be taken to keep the windows closed as much as possible. Not a big issue but we wish the staff warned us about this so we didn't wake up to three large specimens in our bed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excelente!
- Frank (8/5): Great Hotel While Staying In Asia - Wanted to stay on a sandy beach outside of Lima, Peru. Was told that Asia was a great location to visit and relax. I found a great rate (pay up front/now deal) for Estelar Vista Pacifico Hotel. Was rated one of the best hotels in the area and it was. Booked a bungalo and loved it. It was affordable and provided a lot of privacy from the main hotel. The staff are super nice people, the rooms are super clean, the ceviche is one of the best and my favorite is their tigre de leche. The pool is relaxing, calm and perfect. The outside bartendars were nice and attentive; was served my favorite margarita ever (frozen style classica). When I visit Asia in the future, I will stay at this hotel for sure.
- AJ (6/5): Nice hotel in the middle of no where! - The hotel was advertised as being in Asia, so we booked it as a nice weekend beach getaway in the chic Asia area. Well as it turned out, it was 10 Kilometers away from Asia and basically in the middle of no where! There were no stores, restaurants or bars in the area. We took the "hotel taxi" to go to the Asia Blvd. the hotspot of the area and the taxi fare was 50 soles each way! A total rip off! The share should have been 20 soles. So it you stay here, be prepared to spend 100 soles each time you want to go out to shop/eat. The hotel is well maintained, rooms were big and comfy. But housekeeping did not come by to clean or provide us any clean towels during our entire stay! One more interesting fact is that the beach near the hotel is very rough and dirty. Not many people on the beach, everyone just hangs out by the pool. The lounge chairs are also taken early and once they run out, that's it! So if you stay here, get up early and go claim a lounge chair or you'll be left at the bar tables!
- Larry (10/5): - This resort is very nice and has a private beach. The Guest Services staff is very helpful even though only a few speak fluent English. If you need a taxi to get into town, they will make arrangements for a roundtrip even if you request a 2:00 am pickup to return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Vacation - It was located in great place. Within just 3 min., you can approach to the beach. Also there is great swimming pool.
The room was clean, foods were good.
- Ms M (2/5): - Check in horrible, check out even worse. Employees hesitant to help, all of them had a lack of service. Worse ever hotel I had ever stayed I was expecting a better experience for that charged. It is definitely a robbery... 20mis away driving from Asia Boulevard (not 10 like advertised) pool water is cold and not temperature.
- Gabriel (10/5): - After some minor hick ups in the check in (new employee), we started enjoying this nice relatively "new" hotel. The property is not huge, but resembles a "mini" resort, with all the basic amenities. The pool is good. This will be an ideal location for beach lovers. The beach and the shore are clean, although you need to check the color status of the flags to the north of the beach. They tend to be "red' meaning do not swim/avoid getting into the ocean. We enjoyed the water at the shore. Rooms have plenty of room, very comfortable. My family enjoyed the breakfast. Wish we would have stayed one more day.
- Alberto (8/5): Nice and close to Lima - In terms of infrastructure, one of the best hotels south of Lima. They are not many. The hotel is starting to operate and show some growing pains, such as their billing system, which is not clear and leaves with some doubts about the real charges. On the other hand, at night the hall is full of crickets, more attention should be put to clean these insects.
