- alison (8/5): Great, convenient location. Fantastic views . Reasonable price. Needs updating in some areas. - Amazing views from the location. Nice bar and lobby/ lounge seating with views to south wales. Would use again because the location is convenient, Bed- needed a new mattress- too soft for me
Bathroom- compact, adequate, but dated.
Average buffet breakfast.
- Ramero (8/5): Good overnight stay. - Friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Great locations. Good breakfast. Evening menu needs attention. No old favourites that people like.
- steven (9/5): Really nice stay. - Staff. Location . Some rooms getting very tired & in need of refurbishing
- Susan (7/5): Nice relaxing stay in a lovely area - Location, parking and quiet Tired and not as clean as expect

- alexandra alice (8/5): alright - we stayed here twice- first time was excellent the second time was a poor experience. a bit unloved and dates

- alexandra alice (7/5): hm… too sad for the amazing place to be so unloved - the location is stunning dated, the first room had the toilet blocked, moved into a smaller room, on a corner with a view to the pile of rubbish, with no decent shower. when asked to fix the shower( hit water, not dribbling pressure) no reply. the manager of the hotel was apologising the following day yet the receptionist… needs another job.
- Graham (9/5): Lovely hotel with great views. - Large room with sea view, pleasant decor and large comfy bed. Comfortable lounge with lovely views.
Good location with free parking. Everything good except loud squeaky flooring in the bathroom.
- John (8/5): Nice views - Good location. Great views over the water.
- Brian (8/5): Reasonable hotel for a reasonable price - Check in was fantastic - I was early, but they provided a key and offered to store luggage. Breakfast was nice and not too expensive. The room was exceedingly hot when I got there, I had to turn off the electric towel rail and open all windows in order to cool the room down. It wasn't even that cold outside.
- Grzegorz (10/5): - Widok na morze
- Sam (10/5): -
- Debbie (5/5): We had a very pleasant stay though I think the hotel is somewhat dated, lacking in amenities and the standard rooms are - The building and location are stunning I thought the breakfast selection was poor, though what there was was very nice
- Sandra (6/5): - The location overlooking the sea Squeaky floors from upstairs was very annoying but it is an old building
Floor in the bedroom sloped. Bed comfy, not walk in shower in bath instead.
- steven (9/5): Will stay again - Stayed many times. Loved it at the Walton. Rooms getting very tired. Carpet needed changing. But still like it there.,
- Richard (8/5): - . .
- Naomi (9/5): Delightful - I liked the old world elegance and charm. A stunning building and the most fabulous see views. We will come again.
- Janusz (9/5): -
- Dena (8/5): The hotel itself was in a great location and Clevedon was lovely - Our room was clean and spacious with a great view over the water
Breakfast was excellent The evening menu was disappointing and I had to send my meal back as it had a long hair in it
- Alan (10/5): We both loved it. Will be back later this year. - Everything was great, lovely breakfast, great location,
Lovely hotel, comfortable bed & lovely room. Lovely helpful staff,
Thank you to Dawn when I forget my room key. !!!
Hopefully we will see you later this year.
Irene & Alan room 302. Just a fridge in the room.
- BENOIT (9/5): Tres bien, rien a redire - Parfait, vue sur la mer en plus! rien selon moi
- Alan (8/5): -
- Iris (8/5): - Sehr schöne Lage mit Blick aufs Meer. Nahe dem Zentrum mit schönem Pier.
- Wolland (8/5): -
- Martin (9/5): Clevedon Victorian comfort - Wonderful location and fab sea view. We enjoyed the Victorian splendour and space. Clean with helpful and friendly staff. A good buffet breakfast. Lovely cliff walk into town. The evening Bistro meal was ok but not great, and a bit overpriced- but the view and the setting more than made up!!
- Jude (8/5): - Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful The food in the restaurant was terrible and expensive for what it was.
There was no lounge
- Mrs Margaret (8/5): The hotel is a very lovely building and set in a very quiet part of Clevedon. - Staff very friendly. The breakfast had a very good selection. The room was very clean and comfy bed. It is set in a very good part of Clevedon. The central light was not very bright. The drains needed cleaning, as I got the smell went I entered the room. The room needed a lighter Colour on the walls to make the room feel bigger. The curtain was hanging down as it needed hooks replacing.

- Simon (7/5): -
- Gordon (8/5): -
- Michael (9/5): -
- Christine (9/5): Beautiful views - The view was fabulous !! The bar was closed that led out to the patio where the view was to die for - you had to walk around the outside to get your drinks and carry them back - or up a steep flight of stairs that were quite dark !!
- Nataliya (3/5): -
- Margaret (8/5): Peaceful haven - Lovely peaceful location, staff friendly and helpful. Slightly dated but that's part of its charm.
- Joanna (8/5): - Good location easy walking to pier and Hill Road Shops.
- Keith (8/5): -
- Ellis (8/5): -
- Lamiaa (7/5): - The location was ok. It had architectural character that I like. The room was very small. There was no complementary water bottle , given there s no near shop to buy from. The shower water gone cold few minutes after starting warm.
The room was overlooking building, not the sea as I wished. The restaurant had not much vegetarian options.
- tim (8/5): Clevedon Best Western. - Great location and staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Very clean. Breakfast good. Always tricky when food is contained in hot plates etc however all was more than adequate. Evening meal fine. Nothing in particular was at all unlikable. As ever are prices questionable these dayes re meals. Accommodation cost great.
- Jill (10/5): Fantastic place, overlooking Severn Estuary. Good food. Excellent breakfast - Amazing building Nothing
- Benjamin (10/5): Like stepping back in time, had a wonderful nights sleep. - Really loved the timeless decor, made for a very lovely experience and comfortable nice sleep in a beautiful town, right next to the sea. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, would highly recommend.
- Richard (9/5): -
- Helen (7/5): Fine for a one night stay - Lovely location A little bit dated.
- lynette (8/5): -
- Stacey (8/5): Nice stay would go back, hopefully a little update is done soon - Good location close to pier and lovely views
Bar around and lounge were nice It does need a facelift in the corridors and parts of the room. Doors are dated, and walls are marked. Also cleaning could be better in corners and shower room . Staff were very friendly and even through the hotel was fully booked we didn’t have any noise very pleasant sleep.
Great that we could take our dog and had good food in the bar area.
Parking is free which is another positive.
- Myra (8/5): Brilliant relaxing short stay. - Lovely room overlooking the water. Very quiet situation (and room situation).
Very good breakfast. Staff very helpful and cheerful.
Just long enough walk to get you going.
Close to Hill Road shops and cafes There was nothing to not like.
- Steve (10/5): Excellent with a lovely surprise upgrade thanks to Bridget x - Love the place, visit here regularly N/A
- Samuel (8/5): Great place to stay - The view is amazing from the room , if you won't some were to just relax and enjoy you own company ist amazing staff are grate and polite The mattress is quite hard and it wasn't verry good for my back
- Gary (9/5): Love this hotel stayed here about a dozen times. It was just the bed this time. - Location was perfect The bed was really uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the floor.
- Roy (8/5): - Lovely hotel on the cliffs, friendly employees, on a short walk from town Rooms a bit outdated, and barely mobile connection in the area.
- Jo (9/5): Lovely room , menu could be improved - Room was lovely , nice sea view The menu wasn’t quite what we expect from a hotel
- Colin (8/5): A traditional hotel with character - The view and a feeling of history. The shower over the bath.
- Stacey (7/5): Dishevelled elegance. - We arrived and found the grounds to be lovely, if a little small. From the outside, the hotel showed great promise.
Upon entering my room, I was hit with the smell of blocked drains! However, I was immediately offered another room, two doors up. So that issue was resolved swiftly. In fact, for the most part the staff were very lovely and we left a good sized tip!
The views from the dining rooms, and I am assuming the more expensive 'Sea View' rooms, was quite picturesque. And the building itself was once an elegant establishment, with high ceilings, marbled floors and beautiful vistas. Unfortunately, it requires a good amount of TLC to return it to its former glory. The receptionist was polite and gave us our rooms - One on each end of the (very long) corridor. (when we mentioned that we had requested rooms close together, we were told "they are on the same floor". Too tired to argue, we made our way to our rooms. After being met by the smell of blocked drains in my first room, I was given another and I stepped through the door of a comfortable sized room.
My room faced the road and the houses opposite - no bother I thought, I will close the curtains. Unfortunately, they were each 3" short of reaching the centre, leaving a 6" gap that everyone walking their dogs could view me from.
After some careful balancing of bags and shoes to hold the curtains closed, I finally stepped into the shower to find that the bathroom glass was only frosted part way, leaving me once again completely exposed to the poor fella walking his miniature schnauzer!
My American friend called me to ask how the lock worked on her room. I walked over and found that in fact, the brass slider fixed to the door, where you would insert the end of the door chain, was in fact on the wrong way round! So as the door opened, the chain slid easily down the slider and out of the hole - rendering the lock completely useless. There was such a catalogue of errors in this hotel, (far too many to mention here) that we found we had to laugh at this point.
- Jonathan (9/5): Relaxed - Location
Premises
Atmosphere
- CHRIS (9/5): Comfortable, great position, plenty of parking - Had a problem which was delt with helpfully. Nothing particularly
- Andrea (9/5): -
- Mary (9/5): Lovely historic hotel in a beautiful location. - Location was great. We walked into town and back on the beach level. WiFi was spotty. We had asked and hoped for a water view but were on the street side.
- James (9/5): - Loved the view. Staff were friendly and professional
- Sue (9/5): We would stay again, it was a stopover on our way to the ferry but could have stayed longer - Excellent location and safe car parking
We were given a sea view room which was fabulous
Very comfortable bed, plenty hot water in bathroom
All staff were helpful and courteous Nothing
- Celia (10/5): -
- Teresa (6/5): Very pleasant stay. Helpful staff. - Pleasant stay. Lovely staff - reception lady even deferred going home in order to sort getting batteries for TV remote and extra milk sachets late in the evening. Stayed several times before and loved it. Still very pleasant but had one of the cheapest rooms this time - a little bit cramped.
- Lucy (8/5): Mixed reviews. Things I have noted would improve the stay and are pretty basic! - Location friendly staff nice big room Not even a small bottle of water in the room and one tiny biscuit each! Really!!
No WiFi access unless you sat in the window sill and tv pixilated so communication was very bad
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Ally (10/5): - Lovely feel to the place, being in a "historical " building. Awesome service from start to finish, amazing views and super tasty food. Very relaxing. The ONLY point....and not really a "did not like" was the fixed shower screen directly opposite the loo. Made turning space for larger lady a little tight. Lol
- THRUOPENDOORS (10/5): Charming historical bcliff-side hotel. - We loved the historical feel of the place. The staff was friendly, curious, and accommodating. We thought our room was spacious and comfortable. We did not have a room with a view, but the common rooms were overlooking the ocean. So relaxing. The breakfast room was also delightful. Don't miss the nature walk that runs under the hotel - entrance points are closer toward the pier or back along the road past a park—lovely area for walks. The common room/lounge area is also used as a meeting room. But we were able to use it both days for reading and looking out at the water. The furniture in that room seemed tired and was not as clean as the hotel rooms themselves. The breakfast on our first day came with hot fare, but the second day only pastries. We learned that continental is what it is, and that hot items are usually ordered separately. I think it would be good to have that posted.
- gillian (10/5): - The views from the room
- Katharine (8/5): Really enjoyable - Breakfast was very nice. Good room decor , fresh. Lovely view.
Staff very professional and polite.
Clean pleasant room Instructions for WiFi more evident
- Douglas (8/5): -
- Ian (10/5): A very pleasant short stay in a very friendly and quiet hotel on the sea front. - All staff very friendly and helpful. Exceptional room with sea-view. Very good restaurant with no music, which was a real help for my wife who is hard of hearing. Excellent bar, with a good range of beers. Very good breakfasts. Very good wifi. Hotel very quiet.
- Kayleigh (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): -
- STUART (8/5): - Location, breakfast. Shower very temperamental - water reluctant to warm up. Water ice cold.
- Amanda (8/5): Enjoyable short stay - Beautiful Victorian Hotel , wonderful views of the Channel Nothing
- Joanna (8/5): - Pleasant staff, great breakfast!
- Ellis (8/5): Lovely stay for 1 night - Position.
Easy access to town and where we wanted to go.
Helpful, friendly staff.
Good food.
Comfortable room. Nothing
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Hilary (9/5): Hotel with a great view - The location was good and the breakfast was good Nothing
- I2323MUsteveg (6/5): Don't expect luxury. - Good parking. Spacious but dated and initially cold room. Squeaky floorboards in room above with an insomniac occupant not ideal for a good night's sleep. Expensive for a sea view.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Peter (2/5): Lovely location, but not worth the price they charge the receptionist didn’t know what time the bar closed, BUT, the bar - The location The room was not inviting, the lift had a hazard warning sign in it, because some tiles where fitted, al the floor was uneven? , there was no
Headboard, Premier Inn was far cheaper, but we thought we would pay the extra and go with this hotel, I think we were sleeping about the boiler as there was a roaring noise until 1 am until it stopped three times I would not go here again, so please do not waste your money, we paid £100 for that night, I was expecting so much more,
Completely dissatisfied!!!!
- Maureen (8/5): Will make sure I have a sea view room in future - Position Event was being held on Sunday and priority given to that on day before so lounge areas were shut down
- Ryan (5/5): Could feel springs in mattress and shower had poor pressure -
- Jill and David (4/5): Lovely staff, miniature bedroom and dated bathroom - The staff were excellent… the receptionist and bar staff were wonderful Our bedroom was on the top floor and really tiny… nothing like the photos or description as a ‘standard double’.
We had to put the chair in the wardrobe to make space to get in the bathroom. It should be described as ‘small’ not as they claim as their standard double
- Tony (8/5): -
- John David (8/5): An enjoyable break in a fabulous location on the North Somerset coast - Happy with accomodation food parking location and value for money.
Staff were really helpful and friendly but not intrusive and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. There was nothing not to like.
- Marita (8/5): Thank you - had a pleasant stay overall. The food at the bar was very good, with great flavour and quality, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable, which made for a relaxing visit.
One small suggestion would be to consider giving the interior a bit of a facelift. While everything was perfectly functional, a refresh could really enhance the overall atmosphere and bring it more up to date.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay—I would be happy to return. Everything was good.
- Maria (10/5): -
- DamienandDizzy (8/5): Great 1 night stay. Great sea view. - Lovely room. Sea view. Room was too warm so we asked for a fan. It was brought within minutes. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.
- Beth (9/5): Affordable, comfortable stay at a lovely hotel by the sea. - We had a lovely stay at this property, which is at a stunning location by the sea in Clevedon. The property is a leisurely 15 minute walk from the centre of the village. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Facilities were good the bed was comfortable. Overall an incredibly reasonably priced hotel that I would be very happy to stay at again! The decor of the corridors was a bit worn/old. Otherwise couldn’t fault it!
