Le logement était sale, le spa froid, les drap du divant lit pas changé, on c’est fait marcher sur la tête jusqu’à 1h du matin. Les seuls points positifs de cet auberge son la piscine qui avait l’air bien mais nous ne l’avons pas essayé car il fessait trop froid et le couché du soleil était incroyable. Pour le prix j’ai eu l’impression de me faire arnaqué…
Janis (8/5): Quaint well kept Property - This is a really nice place. The owner is so friendly and helpful. It was so nice to be near the water and watch the sunset. There was a nice pool and hot tub, both super clean. He definitely takes pride in his Auberge. Note there are no food services here though, so cyclists nedd to go back to Nominingue (2.8km) for meals.

The place is older but it is cute and has character. The owner was super nice and welcoming and had super lovely animals. If you’re looking for a fancy place to stay this is not for you but If you are looking for a quiet, cute place then I highly recommend this place!

Great view of the lake from the upper deck. Perfect view of the sunset. Used the BBQ and outdoor stove…nice feature. Hot tub was a nice way to end the night after a day on the bike trail. Highly recommend.
Chantal (6/5): - This is a good bohemian auberge as in "live and let live". Don't expect anything and you'll be happy. If you don't like the bohemian lifestyle, avoid. If you're looking for a quaint little auberge : avoid. This is not it. This auberge is located on a nice piece of land by a lake. But everything else is average. Bed had clean sheets, and the mattress was comfy. Some parts of the room where updated (new lights). Many parts were not (peeling wallpaper everywhere, massive spider web, black stains on the bottom 2 feet of the bathroom ceramic grout...). Standard room has a "connecting" door to the next room. It's just a regular door with a lock. You can hear everything next door. Feels like you rented a room in someone private house. Seemed seriously overpriced to us. The room itself is worth half what we paid. I guess the rest of the price is for the "lake premium". Lake and pool are indeed nice, but most of the outdoor furniture is dilapidated (with serious rips and material dangling from being too stretched; and that's before all the bird poo). Anyways, although we sometimes like casual, this was too casual for us. We will not go back.

Ashifa (4/5): - This hotel was extremely dirty. We found a lot of mouse droppings in the drawer beneath the oven, the bathtub had some areas that were dirty, and the drain stopper had mould on it. We even found used dental floss on the balcony! We told the owner about the mouse dropping amongst other issues and he assured us he’d clean it but never did. Some towels had stains and some bedsheets had small tears in them. On our second night he turned off the air conditioning (because he was cold) and our upstairs unit thermometer was reading 27 C!! It was so hot my kids could not sleep! When I told him about this he became defensive and didn’t even apologize. The owner was rude and got defensive whenever issues came up. We booked a superior room with two queen beds and a lake view. Instead we got a parking lot view, 2 double beds and a lumpy sofa couch. He claimed that since we could walk outside onto the balcony and look left that it counts as a lake view. The pool and lake were lovely and there were nice gardens on the property, but none of this makes up for the terrible shape this place is in and the rude owner.
David (2/5): Don’t stay here. It’s not worth it. - At arrival the lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and looked more like a messy home than a hotel. The owners dog nipped the toe of my wife when entering. The grounds were decent, however many side buildings were in disrepair. The hallway to our room was dank and dingy and the smell was awful. There was a coffee maker and hot water kettle we were told we could use. The coffee maker filter basket was growing mold! The kettle did not work. Our bedroom was clean but the smell from the hallway permeated through even with the window open and bathroom vent on. Based on google reviews it seemed it better not to complain. I highly recommend not staying here. We left the next morning despite booking two nights.
Gabriela (8/5): - Our group just absolutely loved this property. We came off the bike path and found every aspect a welcomed respite for the night. We had done our research ahead of time and found out there were no restaurants open on Mondays so planned ahead by stopping at the grocery store in town. When we arrived we were greeted by a sweet cat, two dogs, and Ivan. Ivan got us settled with bike storage and into our rooms. We took advantage of the pool which was the perfect temperature and some of us enjoyed the hot tub while watching an amazing sunset over the lake. While some parts of the property are in need of repair, our rooms on the top floor were updated and spotless. My only suggestion would be that there could be more consistency between what Expedia says will be charged for a deposit and what is actually charged. Be prepared for the deposit to be equivalent to one room total. Overall, we loved everything about the place. Thank you Ivan!

And his dogs roam around freely and are super cute. Also very interesting history. It's an old place and some parts of it are being renovated. We loved it and hope to come back.

The room had 2 full beds only, no lake view, filthy (really bad smoking smell, cobwebs on the fixtures and mouse droppings in the closet), non working thermostat, only 2 towels for 4 and noisy/leaky toilets. Plus charged 40$ over what Expedia charged during the reservation

Steven (10/5): We like funky! - If you are looking for something as well kept as the Ritz, this is not the place for you, if a little funky is ok then you will love it. Great hot tub and view of the lake, lots of places to sit outside on the grass in view of the lake. Reception was very welcoming and accomodating. We had an extra person in our group, and it was NOT a problem at all... and it was directly on the bike trail!!!

The views are stunning, the proprietor friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable after a long day of cycling. Hot tub,sauna,pool, safe and covered bike storage all made this a great stop.

We were the first guests to check in for the day and I asked the owner for a room that was “ premium” and with a lake view as promised. He was arrogant, intimidating, and totally obnoxious. He said no other rooms were “ available” ( not true) and that basically I was a “ Expedia one night booking” and what did I expect? WellI I did not expect a dumpy room that faced the road. I paid top $ for the room. Then he offered me a full refund and I could go elsewhere. However, My husband and I were on a bike ride in a remote location of northern Quebec where basically only two lodgings were available and all had been booked weeks if not months ahead. I had nowhere to go !!!!! Buyer beware at this location.

Kelly (2/5): Quirky Stay - smelly with chipmunks in the room - It is a very quirky Inn, the location is great but the room was filthy, smelled like stale smoke, and we had rodents (two chipmunks) running around our room peeing and pooping on our things (including the bed). The owner did not apologize or adjust the cost of the room, or provide a different room for us. The pool and lake a great but the rooms are dated, smelly and quite unpleasant.

Diana (8/5): - We loved the hotel, and we only stayed for 1 night. We brought our dog, and he had a blast playing with one of the owner's dogs. The host was very friendly and flexible. The property has the best location and view. We went for a walk on the trial and it was beautiful. The pool was clean and fresh, our kids had so much fun. The facilities need some maintenance but overall it didn't bug us, the room was great and we had a nice experience. We will be back!
Pascale (10/5): - Nous sommes venues pour une nuit et sommes restées deux. Petite merveille à découvrir pour personnes aimant la simplicité, sachant apprécier la tranquillité et étant indépendantes. L’endroit est très bien équipé pour se cuisiner les repas, sinon il y a l’épicerie du village ouverte jusqu’à 21h et l’excellent Café du nord. Yvon le propriétaire est serviable et bien sympathique. Nous y retournerons sans aucune hésitation.

The setting is beautiful (right on the lake!) and super convenient to the petite train de nord bike path. The hot tub/ jacuzzi on the terrace was nice ( though not very hot), and we would have enjoyed the small pool if the weather had been warmer.

Timothy (8/5): Lovely spot - Villa Bellerive is in a lovely spot. The building is old and in need of TLC, but the room was clean and comfortable. The pool and watching the sunset over the lake from the jacuzzi on the deck were highlights. No food available at the Auberge so we had to pedal 3 km back to the town for food.
Ryan (4/5): - Property is nice right on the water, rooms are clean and comfortable for the most part. What’s disappointing is the owner/host does the absolute bare minimum for their customers. All instructions are given to you verbally so make sure you’re not to tired if you’ve been riding your bike all day. And the host/owner makes it very clear as soon as you enter that he does not provide any food even though there are no restaurants in the immediate area and he isn’t able to really give you any ideas of where you can go. In the morning don’t expect them to even make coffee, the owner/host will leave the coffee maker out but it’s on you to actually make it. If you purely just need a bed to sleep in this place is fine but if you want/expect anything more then that go elsewhere.

Amazing lakeside location with a hot tub overlooking the water and sunset, beautiful landscaping and gardens, and located extremely close to the P'tit Train du Nord. Yvon, the owner, was very friendly, full of interesting stories, and overall welcoming. One minor note is that there isn't a restaurant onsite at the moment but the town of Nominigue is a quick 2km bike ride away.
Ron (10/5): - This was an awesome place to spend the day. We loved the pool and outdoor hot tub, and the room was beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped. There's an outdoor BBQ setup that we made good use of. The owner was jovial, friendly and helpful, and we had an interesting chat about what it's like to run a place like this year round. Some people commented about cigarette smoke at the reception desk. It's true the staff smoke in this space, and I'd rather they didn't, but this isn't an area where guests are expected to spend any time. Our room was directly above this area and we had no problems with smells or otherwise. Highly recommend this guesthouse and I'd love to go back there.

Amelie (2/5): - C'est la première fois que je fais un commentaire sur un hôtel mais la notre déception est trop grande. L'annonce ne reflète pas du tout l'endroit. Les photos sont trompeuses. L'endroit n'est pas du tout entretenu, il y a des objets et boîtes qui trainent partout. Nous n'Avions pas confiance d'utiliser le spa et la piscine. Il n'y a pas de restaurant et de petit déjeuner, comme décrit dans l'annonce. Nous avons été accueillit dans un lobby qui sent le weed et un monsieur en bas de pijama. Ils n'avaient pas de place pour notre chien et nous avons du être upgradé à nos frais. Chambre décevante et avec beaucoup de choses brisés. Quand nous avons fait part de notre déception au propriétaire, il nous a dit qu'il ne nous retenait pas et ne nous chargerait pas le 2ème nuit. Devant son insistance à nous mettre dehors, nous avons quitter. Grosse déception.
Arlene (2/5): - The owner was rude , he walked into our room without knocking 3 times. We asked him to change the code because we were afraid, he refused he then came back into our room without knocking and started yelling and pushing us around saying we had the wrong room but it was him who brought us to our room , then he kicked us out.. we called the police and filmed the entire thing … the experience was a nightmare and very traumatizing .. also nothing like the pics, the place is a dump!!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!

Verified traveler (4/5): - It’s unfortunate that such a nice and beautiful spot is not fully taken advantage. First and very bad experience was that in the middle of the night a stranger just walked into our room, we are 2 woman staying in the same room and did not feel safe at all! Very scary that the door combination is never changed and anyone can just come in if they know the code, when calling this out to the owner he said that it was someone who had stayed the previous night and not to worry, when we asked to change the door combination he didn’t even know how to change it and that did not reassured us of our safety. We had to put a chair to lock the door... Second the place smells and stinks like cigarette, we dont smoke and this was a constant bad smell in the room that doesn’t go away since the owner lives below and smokes inside, the smoke gets into the rooms and was not pleasant to have this constant smell, we even bought scented candles and didn’t help much... last was that also the blankets and covers did not smell good and looked like they had not been washed at all..good thing we had brought our own bedding set and didn’t use the ones from the room... unfortunately this was not much of a great experience.... very sad because the place has great potential and needs lots of TLC

We def will be back!! Saw deer family and mamazong starts at night. Worth driving for 8 hours to that paradise. Thank you to Ivan and his fam for incredible service!

CP (10/5): - Ivan the owner has taken great care for the atmosphere at the Auberge. There are many places to sit and enjoy the view of the lake -With multiple decks ,beautiful flowers ,screened in sitting room to play chess. he dining area for breakfast is also an enjoyable waterfront building. The lake and swimming pool and hot tub were a wonderful a sequence to relax after a day of cycling. The kayaks were handy for taking a short tour of the lake after swimming . This is only a few meters off the petit Tran du nord trail . The location is also very handy to cycle to places to eat in the evening . (Bike Headlights needed for the trail -it’s a few km from la Gare ) We had a lovely breakfast that Ivan made to order with eggs, ham ,fruit , hash browns, toast, juice etc The waterfront room was worth the extra money to enjoy the view of the lake at night and in the morning We will come here again

Laura (8/5): Good lakeside stay - Great spot on the lake. Comfortable room and they gave us one with a kitchenette - nice perk. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The phone at the reception desk to ask for service is so staticy the owner can't really hear what you're saying. Tasty breakfast made to order down by the water.

Allenicks (8/5): - This property is not at all fancy, so one has to manage expectations accordingly. The location, right on the lake and just off the Petit Train du Nord bike trail, is perfect. The hot tub is hot and looks out over the lake. The pool is a decent temperature and fun for kids to have a splash after a long day. There is access to the lake from the dock. And lots of room to eat outside and enjoy the setting. There is not a lot of privacy - you are sharing the outdoor space with other guests rather than having a terrace to yourself. But the shared facilities include a barbecue and outdoor stove. And there is a fridge and microwave in the room. We used all of these items to make our dinner and breakfast during our stay. The room itself was not new but it was clean and the Murphy bed was very comfortable- likely had a newer, firmer mattress than the main bed. The shared areas also mean that it is not going to be perfectly quiet if you go to sleep early and/or are trying to sleep in. Note that the reception area smells like smoke but the room itself did not, nor was anyone except the owner/manager (?) smoking in the shared public areas. There is covered and uncovered space to store bikes on the property. Overall it was perfect for our stop for our family on day one of a four day bike trip.
Norm (6/5): - That room looked nice on the photos, but once we got there, with all the lights on, everything was way below average for the price. There was a totally deprecated decoration, with unpainted patches of plaster, curling wallpaper, torn curtains, exposed electrical wiring with wirenuts in the bathroom and a loose heater about to fall off the wall. The bath faucet was leaking and the toilet was so loose that it behaved like a rocking chair. But the owner was very friendly. And to his defence, I think we rented the only room that hasn't been renovated yet, because looking at the photos of all others, they look much better than ours. And the site is wonderful, I would like to see it in summer.
Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was great, a little far from Mont Tremblant if that’s where you’re going. Some minor things: there is no concierge after certain hours, the door locks are keypads and that is it, the room was not perfectly clean, and the showers are just bathtubs no spout on the wall at all.
m (6/5): - Was ok place but not for the price I was charged for the room. I’ve been in 5 star hotels that cost less and where much nicer. The owner was nice but he needs to not bring his dog with him when showing guests there room. I don’t hate dogs , I just don’t want one running around my hotel room on checkin.
