• James (9/5): Estancia Agradable - 1. El anfitrión Sergio y su asistente personal Lucia 😬 2. Muy buena ubicación, la habitación tiene una excelente vista y es muy amplia, tiene unas pinturas muy bonitas en los techos acorde al edificio. 3. Tiene un desayuno básico que le permite recargar energía para iniciar el día. (Café, Jugo de Caja, Tostadas, Pan, Yogurt o Fruta, Mermelada, Croissant o Torta Dulce). 4. Tiene ascensor 1. Baño y ducha muy pequeña y presenta dificultad para soltar el sanitario. 2. Recomendamos mejorar las camas. 3. Tiene aire acondicionado, pero por ahorro de energía no está en funcionamiento, por lo tanto sugiero suministrar un ventilador. 4. Recomendamos a las personas sensibles al ruido usar tapones para los oídos.

• giovanna (8/5): Great location - Location was great. Easy to get to and within walking distance of the market and the main sites. Breakfast was a little mediocre. The bed had a steel bar around it and made it uncomfortable to get in and out of bed. No real wardrobe to hang your clothes in the superior room. Really needs some upgrading.

Qualche miglioramento da fare nella stanza: ad esempio qualche mensola o attaccapanni per poter stendere o appoggiare oggetti. La doccia non all'altezza, nella duplice accezione: bassa come appoggio e perciò scomoda: bisogna accucciarsi e non c'è posto. Da rivedere. Asciugamani un po' vecchiotti.
• Maria Gabriella (9/5): Piacevolissimo. Tornando ad Ortigia sarò ben lieta di trovare posto a Casa Cristina - La posizione è centralissima, realmente a due passi da tutto. Fermata del bus-navetta da e per la stazione ferroviaria e dei pulman proprio davanti casa. La colazione, anche se con prodotti confezionati è abbondante soddisfacente e credo possa soddisfare tutti i gusti. La cucina è a disposizione degli ospiti come anche il frigorifero. Ordine e pulizia dappertutto. Comodissimo l'ascensore. Personalmente ho apprezzato molto l'atmosfera da antica dimora siciliana dovuta sia all'arredamento ed alla struttura del palazzo che alla cortesia, signorilità e disponibilità del padrone di casa. Piacevolissima atmosfera d'altri tempi. Tutto questo ha compensato abbondantemente, per me, qualche piccola scomodità come il bagno che, sebbene di una pulizia impeccabile e fornito di tutto il necessario, può risultare un po' troppo piccolo e non molto confortevole per soggiorni prolungati ma che va benissimo per pochi giorni. Non saprei dire. I piccoli inconvenienti che ho rilevato sono semplicemente normali ed accettabili trovandosi in un palazzo d'epoca.

The view is amazing, right across the street from the Temple of Apollo. We had an uncomfortable bed our first night. Sergio switched rooms for us, and the room was great.
• Rudman (10/5): Lovely view onto the Greek temple - Casa Cristina has an amazing location - I loved that our one balcony (there were two) overlooked the Greek temple. It was a lovely spot to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. Everything in Ortygia is easily accessible from there. The room was dated but very clean and comfortable - everything one needs - and I actually liked the fact that it felt authentic. We really appreciated the freshly baked cake or croissant (was different on the two days we were there) for breakfast. There were also a number of grocery stores nearby - the one (I think it was the Supermecato Incoop 3 minutes walk) had a wonderful deli where we bought caponata, grilled fish etc. We enjoyed our stay here and I must say that this accommodation is very good value for money. Ortigia is a wonderful area to walk around, full of charm and completely safe. Sergio’s family has owned this floor of the building for three generations, and you can feel the warmth and pride in how they host. The host was lovely and very kind, and our morning breakfast was wonderful—a perfect mix of savory and sweet. The room was comfortable and bright. The king bed is two twins joined together and the mattress a bit thin, but the pillows were great and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The location is phenomenal—just a 12-minute walk from the Siracusa train and bus stations. I would definitely stay here again!

All the shops, restaurants and historic sites were within walking distance of distance. Parking was not close so had to pay 25 euros a day to pay near the water.

• Sunita (10/5): Casa Cristina.. Casa mia - Best location to visit Ortigia. As we are in our 70's everything was within walking distance, even the busstop is right across the road. If you are looking for an authentic Sicilian experience Casa Cristina is the place to stay. Its decor is retro Sicilian with some modern amenities like a private bathroom an aircon and a lift to the 2nd floor where the B&B is located. Don't expect a modern touristy establishment, this is the real thing. The breakfast is sweet Italian. The hosts are warm and wellcoming with a smile and a hug. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days at Casa Cristina. Wish we could stay longer. Ortigia is beautifull and spotlessly clean

• Bruno (10/5): A place blessed by Apollo - The location is phenomenal, absolutely in front of the Temple of Apollo, providing an incredible aerial view of the monument and a fantastic night view, it also provides a very beautiful small view of the sea. I loved the fact that it was very close to everything on the island and at the same time not far from the train and bus station. The space is very cozy and beautiful, classic old and well maintained. The breakfast is excellent, varied and the host is very friendly, helpful and friendly. As it is in the center of the island and in front of one of the main tourist attractions, it is a little noisy at night.
• Patricia (10/5): Lovely stay on the island of Ortigia - The location of Casa Christina on Ortigia was excellent. It was in the heart of the sights, near the market and many restaurant options. Also an easy walk to the bus and train stations. Sergio was a welcoming host and ensured I was comfortable.
• Moira (5/5): I found the experience rather miserly I can’t understand why people who are in the hospitality business seem not to have - Location and good WiFi and lift to second floor Room 1 bathroom was unsuitable a step up to no space to turn. sink very tiny anyone larger than size 10 would have difficulty used toilet paper had to be placed in a container towels were thin and worn and changed every two days breakfast can be avoided as it consisted of prepackaged bread etc from a discount store the orange juice on offer had 25percent juice only and this is the land of oranges there was no toaster better to eat fresh croissants and natural orange juice in a nearby cafe I had no contact with hosts except the signor picked me up from bus station he had no English which wasn’t a problem for me the female host handed over keys when I arrived and I never saw her again I wouldn’t stay again and couldn’t recommend it to friends there are personalities who enjoy welcoming guests this wasn’t the case here

A corner of the bedroom had been converted to a boxed bathroom. It stunk of sewerage making me wreach on numerous occasions. I could not sleep because of it and mosquitos in room biting me. In addition I don't know where it came from but we had to kill one cockroach which was ambling across the bed. You had to put your toilet paper in a bin. It was very unpleasant. It is sad because the location and view was fantastic but I would not go back or recommend it. The room was a nice size clean but basic and only Italian programmes on the television. Also need adult cereals! Ie porridge or muesli. Very basic breakfast. Owners were nice people and I feel sad writing what I have

Room was spacious with a beautiful historic feel. Breakfast was sufficient with choices of cereal, croissant, cake or the like. A nice bonus with an olive assortment. Kitchen and refrigerator was available at any time. Host lived nearby.

• James (9/5): Nice Stay in Ortigia - Great location. Our room had 2 small balconies with one of them looking down on the Temple of Apollo ruins. We liked the room which was quite spacious with high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. The couple that owns the place were very nice and always willing to help. There is a community kitchen available for use. The continental breakfast was all set up and ready to go on a community dining room table. We've seen all kinds of breakfasts during our travels and this one falls in to the adequate but not special category because less options were provided than some others we have encountered. The breakfast on the first day leaned towards the sweeter Italian-style breakfast and was a little too sweet for us. They adjusted and on subsequent days, we were served more savory items such as hard-boiled eggs, cheese, salami, and sun-dried tomatoes which were very good. My advice is to state your preferences when you get there, they are happy to accommodate.
• Yoko (8/5): Okay - Location front of piazza , I think this town it’s self almost all over is good location already , you can walk all over easily all most everywhere, So poor breakfast , we went out for having coffee and flesh breakfast, We had reservations for two bed already pay for full price before we checkin, they had asked for extra charge for second bed, when we were there no no we had paid enough,
• Emi (8/5): Very good - The location is amazing although also loud in the evening, but it's double glazed window/ door so if you keep the door closed, you can try to sleep, however no air. Wonderful view over the Apollo temple and close to walk to ortigia or train/ bus station. Continental breakfast is included however it's literally outside your room, so it can be a bit loud in the morning, there's a kitchen adjacent with a fridge you can make use of, which is great. The beds are small but comfortable mattresses, we booked a room with a double bed but it wasn't available - the owners were very apologetic and overall accommodating, also with the suitcases we could leave till late afternoon after checkout, but make sure you specify your bed needs when booking.

• Julie (10/5): Would definitely stay again. - The location was amazing. Close to everything. Loved our room 2. The lift worked very well. Cold breakfast provided was completely adequate. We found free parking not too far from the property. Ortigia is beautiful. It was all good but I would have liked to see the owners more for information. But the man we met was lovely.

• Helen (10/5): Exceptional - I had a beautiful room overlooking the Temple of Hercules which is in a lively piazza. Probably the best location in Ortigia. From the balcony you get an 180 degree view of the sea. It’s an old fashioned apartment with antique furniture. My room had old black and white tiles on the floor, like a Vermeer painting. The ceiling was very high with painted decorative garlands of flowers. Tall windows with shutters to keep out the light and noise outside, a lovely old desk to work on, soft double bed. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were given. The bathroom is en suite. Guests can also use the kitchen to cook and make their own meals. You are given your own shelf in the fridge to keep food and water. There is a lift the apartment which is on the second floor. It is a safe, central area. A short walk to the sea and bars where you can sit and watch the world go by. The breakfast is rather thin and you would have to make your own tea or coffee. I didn’t realise there was cereal. There are often home made cakes in addition to a fruit yoghurt, fruit juice, bread, biscuits, crisp bread, and a chocolate sweet. But it is all very charming.

Casa Cristina is in an ideal situation overlooking the Templ - Great location in Ortigia with balcony overlooking the Temple of Apollo. Friendly and helpful host. Being dedicated tea drinkers we would have found a small kettle useful.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Charming, basic & very good value for money. - Very, very central. Great hosts. Very good value for money but basic, especially breakfast. Single use plastic cups at breakfast rather than glasses, so bad for the environment. The breakfast has tiny, tiny portions and the meat is mixed with the cheese and olives, so bad for vegetarians. There are so small chocolates and cake, plus some cheap bread and jam. Skip breakfast and go to Borderi / a cafe instead. The bed is comfy but very bouncy so not great if you partner moves a lot in the night.
