Only one feedback about when we check in with cabin bag size. - Shaj86 (10/5): 5 star experience in Doha - We stayed at this hotel for 12 nights in December as part of a full board package, travelling as a family with our two children (aged 11 and 8). It was also our first visit to Doha, which made the experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, we were genuinely impressed. The hotel is grand, elegant, and beautifully designed, particularly the lobby, which immediately gives a true five-star feel. Having travelled frequently to Gulf destinations, we felt this hotel comfortably met the high standards we’ve come to expect in the region. Our pool-view room exceeded expectations. It was spacious, well-appointed, and featured a generously sized balcony, which we made good use of throughout our stay. The full board package offered a wide selection of restaurants, and overall, the quality of food was very good. While menus were somewhat limited at times, there were generally enough options to choose from. One disappointment was that the Lebanese restaurant, Al Sufra, was closed during our stay. This was a venue we had been particularly looking forward to, and had we known in advance, it may have influenced our decision to book full board. That said, there was still plenty of variety, and the dining experience overall remained enjoyable. Service across all restaurants was consistently excellent and truly reflective of five-star hospitality. A special mention goes to breakfast at Fauchon, which we particularly enjoyed. We also made good use of the hotel’s facilities. The beach was pleasant, and the heated swimming pool was a highlight. Our children visited the kids’ club occasionally; while some activities felt slightly geared towards younger children, they still had fun, especially during a magic show, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return if the opportunity arises. For the 12 nights we were there, the hotel truly felt like a home away from home and certainly did not disappoint. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to several members of staff who made our stay even more memorable: Lucy and Muhammad Barakah at Lobito Restaurant; Muhammed Mubasher, our housekeeper; Zuhair and Chef Talal at The Public House; Yahya at Nozomi; Muhammad, Mehdi, and the team at Harry’s; Raynique and Kholoud at Fauchon; as well as Patrick and Vincent, who were always friendly and welcoming.

The room was big and comfortable, and the service from the staff was really good. The breakfast was also very nice with good options, and the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained 😊 I would especially like to mention Zouhair, who works at the hotel. He helped us a lot during our stay and was extremely kind and friendly. It really made a big difference to our experience 🙌 The only small issue we noticed was that the room carpet was not very clean, and it would be great if this could be improved. - 46julienm (10/5): An unexpected experience - Our stay at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski at The Pearl was great even though a bit particular as we happened to be there right when the tensions in the Middle East started. Instead of staying 1 week for our holidays, we ended up staying 3 weeks, being stranded for 2 additional weeks. In addition to the superb place, great facilities and amazing service, we would like to warmly thank Mr Zaiko & his very professional staff. It's a complicated moment, new for most of us, and we never felt left aside or insecure. We travelled with our 3 year old son who didnt know what was happening around him and we greatly appreciated the fact that the Kempinski's staff played the game all along. THANK YOU to Dominic, Eric, the 2 Patrick, Marie from the Housekeeping for always adding a little touch which made our son smile, and of course ALL their colleagues (i couldn't remember all the names, apologies for this). Of course, the facilities, amenities & services are important in a Hotel but, as per our peculiar experience, it was the overall warm family and friendly feeling that we will remember. The poolside and beach were excellent. Their warm jacuzzi was great for this time of year. A big shoutout to Chamonde, the lifeguard at the beach who was always welcoming us with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. A big shout out to Chef Talal who especially made an effort to prepare an Indian breakfast for us, Masala Dosa. Thank you so much. Last night below my room’s balcony at 4am there was a truck parked (engine on) with people loading and off loading metal and wooden pieces, screaming and throwing stuff. I called the reception in the middle of the night complaining about it and they finally stopped at 05:05am when I had to wake up. I find this attitude completely unacceptable and disrespectful for a hotel of this level, or at least what it should be. I reported this 3 times during the night and later on to the general manager. Again I would like to hi-light how this hotel is pretending to be something that is not, unfortunately, it’s old and needs some renovation and better attention (pictures attached) a part of miss management.

- asifa2026 (10/5): Where Five Stars Feel Personal - If there were six stars, I’d give them all to the team at Kempinski The Pearl. From the moment I arrived, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into a beautifully run kingdom. The facilities were immaculate. What really impressed me was how practical the layout of the hotel was - everything was exactly where you needed it to be. You didn’t need to trek through endless corridors just to get to breakfast, the pool, or the spa/gym. It’s surprisingly rare for a luxury property of this scale to feel so well thought out and easy to navigate - that made a real difference to the overall experience. The half board menu at Public House was generous, enough to satisfy even the most enthusiastic foodie. Breakfast was equally outstanding. What truly stood out, though, was the people. Every member of staff worked tirelessly, yet always with a smile. I even had the pleasure of meeting a few of the directors and to my surprise and delight, they weren’t tucked away in offices they were right there on the floor, sleeves rolled up, leading by example. It’s not every day you see senior management literally getting stuck in. A heartfelt thank you to Nisrine Karouach, Guest Relations Manager, who went above and beyond to accommodate a special request — a gesture that was extremely memorable and made a lasting impression. And although all the staff were lovely and hardworking, I also want to give a special mention to Thunn, Walid, and Chef Moza from Public House, who were consistently attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make each meal an absolute pleasure, as well as to Pasan, the lifeguard, whose friendly and professional manner made time by the pool all the more enjoyable. Lastly, a warm thank you to Sarah and her lovely colleague at the Kids Club, whose warmth, patience and energy made our children feel completely at home — they turned playtime into one of the highlights of our stay. To sum it up: Kempinski didn’t just deliver luxury — they delivered heart.

She was friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to from the start, and whenever we had questions she was always there to help. She also checked in a few times to make sure everything was going smoothly, which added a really comfortable, personal touch to the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and very relaxing, but having staff like Camilla who genuinely look after guests makes the experience even better. Dubai is usually my go-to destination for a quick Middle East getaway, and I tend to stick with the Jumeirah hotel chain. However, after my brother stayed at the Kempinski Doha back in February and strongly recommended it, I decided it was finally time to give it a try. I’ve stayed in Doha before with family and had often driven past the Kempinski, admiring how beautiful it looked from the outside, so I was genuinely excited to experience it for myself — and I’m so glad I did. I stayed for the first time with my husband and we were absolutely delighted. The hotel is exactly the standard I love, and we honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff were absolutely delightful, and the Lady in Red concept is such a charming touch especially when they even call your room introducing themselves as Lady in Red. The rooms are stunning. Even though we had one of the standard rooms, it was beautifully designed with a lovely view. I particularly loved the interior design and the walk-in wardrobe concept flowing into the bathroom, elegant and very well thought out. A huge thank you and special mention to Elber, who made our experience exceptional from the very start at check-in. His polite nature, helpful demeanour, and the way he continued to check in on us throughout our stay truly made all the difference. Experiences like this are what make guests want to return. If management is reading this, having staff members like Elber genuinely adds immense value to the hotel because it’s not just the property itself, but the people that truly elevate the experience. The interior throughout the hotel is delightful, and there is a small private beach area which is perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already decided to return in 2026, this time bringing my parents with us. The location is excellent and getting around is incredibly easy with taxis or Uber readily available. Another thank you to Gerald at the beach area, who was very helpful, polite, and approachable. Also, Nisha and Sumitra from housekeeping were wonderful and attentive to every extra request we had. The outdoor pool was a little cold considering the time of the year however we had the option of using the spa sauna steam and pool area which were separate for men and women- great for me as I observe the Hijab. The spa area was beautiful, clean and had other facilities such as dressing area, relaxation room and etc I’m truly glad I ventured out and tried the Kempinski chain , it may be our new favourite!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, Mike in Reception made the booking in process seamless. He was very very efficient and welcoming before passing us over to his colleague to take us to our rooms on the fourth floor. The rooms are very large and well appointed - family members were most impressed, which bode well for our eight night stay over Christmas. The whole hotel was exceptionally well decorated for the Christmas celebrations - children of all nationalities and religions being well catered for. The morning breakfast buffet is breathtaking, with all tastes catered for. The Head Chef ( from Jordan ) comes out to greet all the guests and almost kills you with kindness. Two things are a certainty: you will not leave hungry and your waistline will tell you that! The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The beach and pool areas are always immaculate, and there are loads of playing facilities for children. As I write this review on Christmas day, the children are being treated to a procession of Santa, Mickey Mouse, and Mario - they are absolutely loving it while their parents enjoy a large Christmas brunch. Memorable stuff for the kids! It is no wonder this hotel scores so highly on TA.

The rooms are very quiet to facilitate deep sleep and Housekeeping staff mubassir & Ramshal was amazing. You can also find SPF next to the swimming pool. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and polite. Idris helped us a lot with our early check in. Thanks to him we had everything we needed at our room. He was very kind to help us with our additional requests. Chef Talal made delicious breakfast, always great selection of food and sweets. The food corner was never empty, everything refilled on time. From the moment you enter the premises to the welcome at the lobby with the refreshing drink and also continously flowing Arabian tea and dates the Ladies in Red as the called the guest relation executives ensured all the proper check in is taken care of including guidance if required. All rooms have a big space with bath tubs, hot water kettle, and espresso machine. Firm beds give you a good night sleep. Any request is well attended fast and service is also the most distinguishing factor at all places being house keeping, food service etc The hotel has to its credit an exclusive beach area.

Hotel looks grand and 5* but the service especially at some of the restaurants notably public house and Harry’s Italian does need major improvement. Hotel trying to be kid friendly but not really with still a smokers lounge in the lobby lol. Due to the limited restaurants avialable few closed for refurbishment and limited kids menu. We ate out for lunch and dinner on the last 3 nights due to limited options and service and enjoyed these days the best. Missing drinks, missing dishes, waiting for dessert or the bill things take too long even when asked a number of time if there is an issue. The hotel wasn’t even busy when this happened so I am still bemused with the reason. Concerns raised with reception and duty manager of hotel, they wasn’t entertained, so probably use to the same feedback. Best offered was in room dining for one night but cannot eat in the room with kids too much mess. Took 2 days to sort out a bed for my daughter who was on the reservation, the room was set up for two people. Always two towels have to call guest services daily for towels and loo rolls only after day 5 things slightly improved. First time leaving a holiday we were excited to finally go! This review is not for compensation but a heads up to families planning trips here with full board! We still made good memories, pool staff, security and lifeguards friendly and gym and spa was a big plus for this hotel.

He explained everything very clearly an very kindly upgraded us to a suite which was amazing especially with 2 young children having all the space make a big difference. It was a rainy day and so we spent most of the day in the hotel. The kids club run by Sarah ad Jocelyn was brilliant. My kids really enjoyed it and want ti come back everyday! Both Sarah and Jocelyn were so friendly and incredible with the children. So far despite the rain Doha has been great because of the warmth of everyone at the Kempinski. I highly recommend the stay here especially with family

Dominique, Ronaldo from the cafe and a sweet young Indian guy who sweeped the floors at the pool were also amazing and so good with the kids, I think he’s name was sanjoo. Location It’s situated on its own "island" near/ at The Pearl. Short distances to other surrounding locations of interest and beautiful Marina. Great ice cream there. Check In Smooth and very efficient. All front desk staff were very friendly. Room Our room faced towards the city. It was very large and spacious as you may see in the photos with its own balcony and furniture and ceiling fan. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient. Much needed even in November/ December where the temperature was 28/ 29. Large television with a smaller TV in the bath area. The bed was large and comfortable and the pillows were nice and soft. All lighting controls are touch sensitive. Safe located in the dressing area of the bathroom. Bathroom Large well-appointed bathroom/ dressing room with robes and slippers. Shower and bath with (TV). All possible lotions and amenities kits were available. See attached pictures. Public House This is where the breakfast and other meals are served. The head chef kept everything running smoothly. Food was good and reasonably priced. One again staff were very friendly. Restaurants There are several other restaurants such as Italian which are also available. Staff I dont have enough room to name each and every person we spoke to or came into contact with to write them all down. Each and everyone played his/ her part in our experience, therefore ALL and I mean ALL warrant a mention. Valets A special mention and a big thank you to all those who came to our assistance after getting a dodgy "taxi" back to the hotel who wanted over 4 times more expensive than going (Non Metered). The hotel uses a government owned taxi company called Karwa (Check the spelling) which are metered, so do not hesitate to ask them to book you a taxi. Not expensive. Be very careful and use metered taxis on the return journey or any other such journey. Finally I would certainly return and recommend the hotel. Many thanks for a memorable experience.

- Lizclarkr1982 (10/5): Wow just wow - What an amazing stay we have had here. We got here at 9.30am as a lay over for 2 nights whilst travelling to Australia as a family of 4, 2 boys 8 and 10. From the moment we arrived the staff could not be more hospitable. We knew we were early but they provided a complimentary breakfast whilst they arranged our room early. Everything thereafter was just perfect. The staff fell over themselves to help you. Great location, beach & services are spot on. If you are thinking of booking, just do it. Just wish we would have stayed longer. Well done Marsa Malaz and thank you for looking after us.

Generally Staff were amazing here - particularly with the kids … around the pool / beach areas and in particular the staff in the Buffet Breakfast area. Chef Talal made besties with the kids making them personalised Nutella Crepes, and my wife cheese players and myself a speciality local Hummus dish. Thanks for making that extra bit of effort that makes the stay special.

The food at Public House restaurant was really delicious and versatile. Chef TALAL's remarkable hospitality made our food experience marvellous and made us feel as we are special guests. Service was also outstanding, thanks to our wounderful waiter Mr. WALID who was absolutely fantastic, attentive, and friendly. We only faced one very bad experience with the guest relations manager who was stubborn and unyielding and she unjustifiably insisted on denying us an Afternoon Tea Experience at Fauchon restaurant which we had already paid for in advance. Without this incident, I would've rated my exprience 5/5.

Our favorite part of the stay is undoubtedly the breakfast considering the quality of service and food. Exceptional service from Chef Talal and the waiter Walid. Both made our breakfast experience a special one with their attentiveness and warmth. Extremely professional and it reflects in their attitude!
