- Mennatallah (10/5): Exceptional stay - one of the best villas i've ever stayed at. everyone is so nice and helpful and the villa is very clean and up-kept. the breakfast each morning was prompt and very delicious (i'm not sure what they put in their sourdough that makes it taste so good!). it's located a bit on the outskirts of the island, but it's a quick 20 mins walk to the other end of the island so we really didn't have an issue with the location. the villa itself had a pretty big bathroom, and a much needed AC that kept us cool all the time. during checkout, we met one of the owners, sam, and he was super sweet and even paid for our gili taxi to the port to congratulate us on our honeymoon. it was a really sweet gesture that we'll never forget. overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back if we're ever in gili air again.

The villas themselves are stunning. They are spacious, immaculately clean, and designed with so much attention to detail. The private pool was such a highlight and made it feel like our own little sanctuary. The staff were absolutely incredible, so warm, welcoming, and always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

- Lisa (9/5): Traumhafte Villa mit toller Ausstattung und freundlichem Personal - Sehr zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal, sehr gut organisiert, saubere Villa mit toller Ausstattung. Schnorchel Ausrüstung, sowie Fahrräder wurden von der Unterkunft organisiert. Die Insel ist eine autofreie Insel, weshalb man überallhin laufen oder mit dem Rad fahren muss. Tagsüber kein Problem, allerdings sind die Wege vor allem im Dunkeln sehr schlecht, bis gar nicht beleuchtet was den Nachhauseweg etwas schwierig gestaltet. Dafür kann die Unterkunft allerdings nichts. :)

The whole place is incredibly charming and atmospheric, perfect for those looking for peace and tranquility. The hotel is located in a quiet area, which adds even more to its unique character. The staff deserve special recognition – they were extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to every detail, providing the highest standard of service. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, which made us feel truly comfortable. We wholeheartedly recommend this place – we would love to come back!

- Celine (10/5): Amazing stay in Gili Air - We loved the 2 bedroom villa a lot! It was perfect to share with a friend. Sam, Agus and everyone were fantastic, so thoughtful, kind and welcoming! The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen space as well. The swimming pool was larger than we expected and so beautiful! We had breakfast included and they made sure that my husband and I could get vegan food. The villas are in a quiet area of Gili Air, perfect for relaxing, yet very close to the beach, restaurants and shops.

- Rosie (10/5): Perfect stay! - Booked for 7 nights at Akasia Suites and stayed for 10. Here’s why…… There are lots of beautiful villas on Gili, but a lot are just one room. We loved having a whole house set up, especially the kitchen area with a fridge. All the bedrooms are really spacious and comfortable with lots of hanging space. En suite showers work really well and plenty of hot water. Ac is really efficient. The outdoor furniture for chilling round the pool is really nice and comfortable. There is plenty of shade and sun. The location is very quiet, away from the mosque. You can still hear the distant call to prayer but it just reminds you that you’re on a Muslim island! Some areas of the island are really scruffy, but this isn’t. The staff are amazing! They service the apartment every day and deliver breakfast fitting it around our diving schedule. Sam and Tia the Ozzy owners live next door and are really welcoming and helpful. At the end of our 7 days we didn’t want to leave. So didn’t. Until we absolutely had to! Nothing, it was perfect.

- Deezy11 (10/5): Excellent villa with a fantastic pool - Excellent villas with two sleeping rooms and en-suite bathrooms, a very large and well-equipped dining place in the middle and all along a very large private pool. Great staff that is super helpful and very service oriented. We had breakfast included, which was served daily to the villa. Breakfast order as all other communication is conveniently done through whatsapp. Very happy with the entire package. Would return.

- Marcin (10/5): Paradise in the Paradise - I recently stayed at Akasia Villas in Gili Air, and it was exactly the kind of peaceful island escape I was hoping for. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt calm and private. The villa itself was beautifully designed, with a spacious bedroom, an open-air bathroom, and my own private pool surrounded by tropical greenery. Having that private pool made a huge difference — especially after spending the morning cycling around the island or snorkeling. It felt like my own little sanctuary. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (which is essential on Gili Air). I also loved the semi-outdoor bathroom concept — it gave the stay a tropical, island vibe while still feeling clean and well maintained. The location is quiet, slightly away from the busier beachfront areas, which I personally appreciated. Everything is still easily accessible by bicycle — restaurants, beach bars, dive shops, and sunset spots are just a short ride away. Since there are no motorized vehicles on the island, getting around felt relaxed and enjoyable. What stood out most to me was the staff. They were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with arranging bikes, recommending places to eat, or organizing activities. The service felt genuine and personal without being intrusive. If I had to mention one thing, it’s that the villa isn’t directly on the beach — but honestly, the privacy and tranquility more than made up for it. Overall, my experience at Akasia Villas was peaceful, comfortable, and romantic. I would absolutely stay here again, especially for a couple’s getaway or if I just wanted a quiet place to unwind on Gili Air. One of the highlights of my stay at Akasia Villas was definitely the staff and the breakfast experience. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel genuinely welcome.

All the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful in every aspect, whatever you need (they check to see what time you want your room cleaned). Breakfast delivered to your room every morning at a time specified by you. Our villa looked like it had been designed by an interior designer, swing over the pool, comfy relaxing pool loungers, 19 litre filtered water unit replenished when empty, hob, fridge, toaster, kettle, fan above kitchen area. Air con in bedroom, fan also, mosquito net, tv, amazing shower (lots of space) and comfy big bed. Great location, not far from anywhere, but enough to be quiet at night. We hired their bicycles which are perfect to get around the island. The Pool/garden area was cleaned regularly. Thanks to Patrick for the amazing personal snorkelling experience (organised by the hotel) and not forgetting Sam the manager and all his staff for an unforgettable experience! Having to leave.

While not on the beach it was quiet and peaceful and only a few minutes on the bike to good snorkelling spot on the east. Great food options. Yes it’s a walk from the port but if you want quiet and beautiful villas it’s worth it. We stayed in villa 2 and villa 6. Villa 6 is more modern but villa 2 is more spacious (smaller pool in 6 though than 2). Both excellent. The staff were exceptional. Great scrambled egg breakfasts!! Nothing.

It's about 7 minutes walk to the beach where you can enjoy the sunset view. Thr Breakfast was so gooooood. I hope to come back next year.

A special men - Wonderful property, rooms and beds are comfortable and a good size, all have ensuites which is helpful. Pool was great and all amenities were perfect. My only fault would be the bamboo couch was a bit uncomfortable but not an issue at all.

- Brent (9/5): Great villa to stay in with our familiy - A very nice villa (we stayed at the 3 bedroom villa) at a quite part of Gili Air. The bedrooms are very convenient, with spacious bathrooms and with good beds. We really liked how the breakfast was served every morning in reusable containers in which we could also store the leftovers in the fridge, very sustainable. All the staff was very friendly and supportive in arranging bikes and transport. The pool was a bit green (still clean) which the staff tried to resolve and we were compensated for it, which was much appreciated by us! The toilet seats are a bit of low quality which could be improved. And the couches are not very convenient to sit on. Nothing major, just some things for the future to improve.

- Nicola (10/5): Family holiday in Lombok - We loved our stay at Akasia Villas & loved Gili Air. We stayed for 3 nights but could easily have stayed for longer. The villa was lovely, the outside kitchen and seating area next to the pool was great & had everything that you needed including filtered water. The beds were comfy and being down a little side street it was very quiet at night. Breakfast options were delicious & easily ordered online each day. The location was perfect for us, about 5 minutes to the beach and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were easily contactable via Whatsapp. We will definitely return to Gili Air & wouldn't hesitate to stay at Akasia Villas again. Thank you for such a fabulous stay. Nothing

Breakfast had good variety and always served on time. Toilets was not my husband’s liking as you can’t put paper toilets in. The bathroom was too humid as there is no fan / or force ventilation so humidity smell tends to develop quickly on towels.

El ambiente es totalmente personalizado y el equipo es extremadamente atento y amable, siempre pendientes de cada detalle para que todo sea perfecto. El desayuno fue riquísimo y la paz que se respira en el lugar lo convierte en un auténtico refugio en las islas Gili. Lo único malo… ¡que no pudimos quedarnos más tiempo! La disponibilidad es limitada, pero precisamente eso lo hace aún más exclusivo y especial.

De plus grande facilité de déplacement en vélo ou en e bike. Très grande flexibilité et très bonne communication avec l'équipe des villas. Nous avons organisé tout avec ces derniers. Ils ont été très réactifs. Petit déjeuner un peu léger en comparaison au reste du standing et des prestations.

- Cathrine (10/5): Great place to stay on Gili Air - Great place to stay on Gili Air with good value. We stayed 3 different places in our 2 weeks there, and this was our favorite. Approx 2min bikeride to the beach or 10min walking, where there is a very nice reef for snorkelling and also many turtles. Its also close to some good restaurants. Nice to have the private pool and dart in the villa when staying with children. They also had mosquito nets over our bed + over the extra bed for the children which we appreciated, as that is not always provided and there are mosquitoes. Our daugther had her birthday when we stayed there and they really made the day special for her with cake and song in the morning. The breakfast was also good, but the coffee provided could be better. The beds were a bit hard.

In walking distance is a family cafe with a playground which we can highly recommend. We enjoyed the calmness of the north side with plenty of great restaurants.

Le déjeuner est servi dans la salle à manger (extérieur) La literie est très agréable avec des moustiquaires. On était bien situé près des restaurants, plage et magasins. Le centre est très charmant. La salle de bain au milieu de la verdure est très agréable. Le moustiquaire du lit simple est un peu trop court et le sèche cheveux n’est pas très puissant
