- Cruiser41083799934 (10/5): Comfortable and affordable - It was quiet in the room even though the motel is located just off of I-25 and is very close to downtown Trinidad. Downtown Trinidad is very walkable and I was surprised more people weren't walking, but it was Sunday evening.
- Myran (4/5): - No breakfast. No soap to wash with. The bathroom was really dark. Light was not bright enough. The key reader didn't work to first room even after 2 attempts by the staff. The parking lot was full of pot holes.

- EagleScout1985 (6/5): Definitely not the Greatest Hotel, but the Customer Service is Top-Notch ... and Affordable! - My wife and I were headed back to South Dakota from New Mexico and stopped at Trinidad for the night. We were greeted in a warm manner by the front desk staff, and the individual was quite pleasant ... very professional, with some casual conversation about the long drive, etc. To say the least, the customer service was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Upon entering the room, the heater was not turned on ... and with temperatures in the low 30s and wooden floors, the room was extremely cold and took about an hour to warm up. Although the room was large and provided considerable space, we noticed several broken or "well-used" amenities. As an example, the exhaust fan knob in the bathroom was missing and the turn dial did not work. The bathroom mirror looked new and had two buttons for an exhaust fan and light ... on the light worked. The room was not bad ... but we could tell that the staff is making some upgrades. The only real complaint we have is that the refrigerator in the room was not plugged in. We have never experienced this before with any other room in all of our travel experiences. We placed our left-over Thanksgiving food in the fridge, along with some treats for the next day-s drive. Unfortunately, we woke up the next day only to learn that the fridge was warm ... not plugged in ... and the cord could not even be put through the hole in the cabinet. If the hotel does not plug in the refrigerators in the rooms, they should at least acknowledge this during check-in. Will we go back ... likely, but only due to the customer service and friendliness of the staff. The price per night was also very affordable at $87 / night. Compared to most other hotels over $100 per / night, we can deal with the lowered standards of amenities ... and save $20-50.

They said breakfast included and we went to eat breakfast and they only had coffee and we ask for breakfast and the guy he just laugh and said “there coffee “ they should be post no breakfast included or have some bread or waffle maker. we’re so disappointed.

But we did use it on our journey. Noticed one of the electrical outlets is in bad shape. Needs work. Have noticed that the Wyndham hotels are aging. And the upkeep is lacking a bit. Must say this one is better than some we've used. Like the floors. No carpet.

- Maps203602 (2/5): Leaning Floors and More! - Pathetic. Floors leaned. Floor board projecting. Bathroom door wouldn't open all the way due to the shower rod. Room door had to be slammed to shut. Bathroom fan installed into a tile ceiling but whoever did the tile didn't know how to finish around the fan. Baseboards are pathetic!

Room 123 had a very dangerous slant in the bathroom floor. It felt like we were walking around a sinkhole. Toilet was so slanted you sat sideways. The neighbors were loud and it was hard to sleep.

The surfaces and furniture appeared to be fairly new. All was well maintained and clean. The bed was very comfortable. - Paul (8/5): We will return, it was a good stay. - The room was comfortable and good sized. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Air conditioner was excellent and non obtrusive. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it. Wifi worked well. We will return. Complaints are very minor: Bathroom door frame was warped and the door wouldn't close. Electrical outlets a bit hard to find. The parking lot, patio, and terrace are all at some point of reconstruction, modification- didn't affect us one bit. Oh, yeah, I forgot: the breakfast bags are kind of a joke. We went out to eat instead.
