- Reina Alexandria (10/5): Part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World - Amazing hotel, it’s actually part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World! I’m so glad I chose this hotel for my Guangzhou trip, the room was spacious and clean, and it’s conveniently situated at the end of Beijing Road so walking over was easy. There’s also a delicious Chaoshan eatery 4 mins walk from the hotel that I was blown away with. I know some people complained about the trees blocking the river view, but I didn’t mind it too much and thought the trees provided a nice shade and coziness to the overall feel. I would definitely go back!

- Kopita (10/5): A True FIVE Star experience - LN Hotel Five earned FIVE STARS! To start, the staff was excellent - friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had a shower and an oversized bathtub that was perfect for two people. We loved the sitting area and stepping out on the small balcony. The restaurant served amazing food - very high level, made with fresh ingredients. And, the location was perfect – the Pearl River was only steps away, and everything of interest was just a quick walk or taxi ride away. We'll definitely come back and highly recommend it to others!

- CHHIO KIRK (2/5): - Horrible car ma femme s’est fait piquée par des punaises de lit sur ses deux jambes et moi sur mes bras pour avoir dormi deux nuits seulement et on n’a pas bien dormi la deuxième nuit car on s’inquiétait de se faire piquer encore. On a signalé au personnel de l’hôtel et ils nous ont dit que c’était des moustiques (il nous a mis un produit anti-moustique) mais d’après notre consultation sur internet ce sont bien des morsures des punaises de lit! C’est des boutons rouges en relief sur l’endroit de la morsure et ça gratte beaucoup !!!

The location is perfect — right on the Pearl River, which is beautiful at night and lovely for a bike ride during the day. The hotel staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful, and the daily housekeeping kept the room spotless. Our room was big, spacious, and very comfortable. It’s also a short walk to Beijing Road, with plenty of dessert stores and shops nearby. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but offer very comfortable rooms and services within. Not your usual hotel experience. We stayed for 4 days, while our towels were changed daily, our bedding wasn’t changed for the entire stay. The attending to detail could be better. Mini fridge had sticky residue, crisp packet found behind the curtains.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the overall environment was tidy and well-maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome throughout my stay. The hotel's central location made it perfect for exploring the city on foot, and I felt safe walking around the area. Highly recommended!

The shower area was choked after just 1 shower, the floor didn't look like it was properly cleaned If you are particular about cleanliness, this hotel will not be recommended. The hotel breakfast was also not buffet style but ala carte order and limited in variety. For 1-2 days stay it would be ok but nothing around the area, you would need to take a taxi out.

- anandsethi72 (2/5): Horrible Hotel and Horrible Experience Live Right now - Worst hotel in Guangzhou. Period. Had my room changed twice. Major internet issues in all their rooms. Rooms are dated and so are the bathrooms. Compared to RMB 300 hotel rooms across the country, this hotel best fits this category now. It is the most horrible experience I have had in Guangzhou so far. I had to visit a local wholesale market close to the hotel and the front desk provided the wrong address which we gave to the driver who drove us around town until he got us to the right place but asked us to pay full fare when I refused he grabbed my phone and threatened my wife. He came out of the taxi to punch her and when I wanted to make a police complaint it didn't go down well with the hotel staff and instead they asked me to call 12345 and report the taxi to a number which is all in Chinese. The hotel didn't even have the decency to lodge the complaint in the guests behalf due to language issues and they just brushed off their hands on it. Horrible stay, harrowing experience by catching a cab from the hotel and hotel staff guiding us wrong by giving the wrong wholesale address and leaving us in great danger with an aggressive, bad attitude and violent driver. This thing does nor happen to anyone else, the hotel staff refuse to help into this matter The wifi is so so bad at this hotel, try to avoid this hotel as if you are staying to connect with clients overseas your wifi will be so unstable you will not be able to do anything about it. This is worse than a 2 star hotel. Even 7 days hotel and Paco hotel is better than this horrible, horrible hotel. Useless staff and nothing to brag about this hotel. It is really not worth 800 HKD. It is not even worth 300 HKD a night it is good for 150-200 HKD as that is their standard inside their room.I am there tonight and I have no choice and cannot change my hotel, but this hotel is off my list for life!! Bathroom doors don't close properly, toilet water does not flush down properly.Our one night stay is something we will never forget for the rest of our lives as the hotel left us a very, very bad taste in our mouth...
- Michelle (9/5): Lovely rooms, great value in a good location - We stayed during the Canton Fair in spring and found the hotel great value for money. They had a shuttle running to and from the fair each day, which was very convenient. We visited the rooftop bar a few times and loved the night time views and all the lights. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfy and I really enjoyed the decor. The location is in an older part of town by the river. Lots of trees make it very pleasant and easy walk to do a river cruise and to the Beijing Rd shopping area. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Short taxi ride to Shamian Island which was nice to walk around. On the second visit the shower drain was blocked in my room so had a bit of flood but nothing that caused any big issues. The first stay buffet breakfast wasn't actually a buffet on the first day and a few people didn't get their breakfast in time to catch the shuttle to the fair. However they sorted it out thereafter.

- Vivian (8/5): Good stay with a view - The housekeeping lady 红姐 was cheerful, approachable and thoughtful. The reception was friendly and accommodative :) breakfast was by order and served hot; the variety was sufficient. Location of the hotel was excellent with close proximity to Beijing Road while staying just out of the noise and buzz for a good rest. The area has plenty of local shops with very decent foods options, and a view of the river. Great spot for morning runs along the river as well. The placement of some items within the room did not make sense for me, and it will be good to have more privacy for the shower area.

Nice spacious bathroom with separate toilet. Reception staff were helpful and welcoming, especially Melody. Great location next to the Pearl River with easy access to many local shops at nearby Beijing Rd. Fantastic view from rooftop bar although drinks were quite pricey, most above RMB100 each. Will come back again.

The view of Peal River was so nice. The walk to Beijing road was very close. I felt refreshed and regret being only able to stay here for one night.
- 88gratitude (10/5): Huge room with big bathtub - When I arrived on Monday 11/13th, the whole evening was pretty quiet. Some nights the hotel’s bar played pretty loud music starts around 8:00, I had jet lag and were still able to sleep with earplugs on. The service was good. Breakfast is served to order and great quality food! I loved the huge nice room and big bathtub. Overall good value and nice stay.

Couldn’t recommend more highly - If you ever visit Guangzhou I highly recommend LN Hotel 5 in Yue Xiu district near the river. I have never experienced the level of service and personal attention as I have here. When I was sick, the manager had the door man walk me to pharmacy for medicine. And when the first pharmacy was confused the doorman said let’s go somewhere else to ensure I got what I needed. The night I was very cold the manager had someone in my room in 5 minutes to adjust the thermostat AND delivered a spare fluffy blanket. When I wanted to mail something they immediately handled it on the spot (prior hotel just told me to go to the post office). One day while waiting for a cab/DiDi I realized the weather was too nice for the hoodie I was wearing so I asked the lobby if they could keep it…. Instead they took it to my room. Today I asked about check out time…. Don’t need to leave for the airport until 4 pm…. And they said I could stay until 3! THREE. It may be a slow day but wow! Just so many little things they did and always with kindness and a good attitude . Plus the Wi-Fi was strong and reliable…the river view is beautiful… the bed is awesome… the room is well appointed… and it’s location is just 15-20 minutes from almost every tourist spot I visited. Plus almost all staff spoke English. Ben and Paul were especially amazing Great boutique hotel. Wonderful place to end my months long travel in China My only suggestion is slightly brighter lights, especially near the table/desk and in the bathroom for those of us who apply makeup. Even a lighted makeup mirror near the sink would help for makeup. But this was a minor issue

- metherat (10/5): Small boutique hotel - About 10min walk from the nearest metro station. Otherwise location is good, located right in front of the waterfront. There are also multiple jogging tracks right outside the hotel. Room was very big and spacious. Amenities provided were fantastic too. Definitely worthy of a luxury hotel label. Bath bombs were also provided and the tub was extremely big, big enough for two people. Bed is also large and comfortable. Housekeeping comes every morning only, no turndown service. Breakfast is ala carte buffet, managed to try most items from the chinese menu and they were all of very good quality. Only downside is the price of their rooftop bar. One cocktail costs 100+ RMB.

- MattBossons (10/5): A genuine small luxury hotel experience - An elegant hotel that is sparkling clean and dotted with elements showcasing the local Lingnan culture of people in South China. Our suite room was spacious and even included a large bathtub -- which was heavenly! The service staff were also very helpful and friendly and even provided my daughter with some fun Chinese New Year-themed activities to participate in! The hotel's restaurant and bar are also well worth praise. The tea restaurant on the ground floor served a brilliant custom breakfast when we visited a couple of weeks ago. Also, the rooftop bar (which offers stunning river views) was lively in the evening and had a great live band performing on stage. While some have complained in these reviews about noise from a nearby nightclub, this no longer seems to be an issue, as the venue has closed. Our sleep was sound, quiet and restful. Lastly, this hotel is ideally located near many of Guangzhou's older neighborhoods, making for easy adventures and culturally fascinating walks. I have been to Guangzhou many times, but this is now my top hotel choice when I next visit the city.

- danielepanfilo (10/5): Wonderful Boutique Hotel in old Gunagzhou - I was the guest of LN5 Hotel last August 2020 and I found many reasons that make this Hotel so special: delicious Cantonese food, wonderful location, very professional and extremely friendly staff and an extraordinary open-air terrace with an amazing view on the Pearl River. It seems to me no other place in old Guangzhou can offer such a nice experience for those travelling in the Pearl River delta. Last but not least, there is a little treasure on the walls to admire: an extraordinary collection of photos of the life in old Guangzhou. It’s the perfect place to start enjoying the City of the 5 Rams !
- LCT_Lee (10/5): Rooftop bar with great cocktails and gorgeous views of the Pearl River - I have visited their rooftop bar on multiple occasions with friends and family. Stepping off the elevator and onto the patio, I am always wowed by the riverside scenery of Guangzhou that unfolds. The vibes here are great, with chill music and an atmosphere a world removed from the hustle and bustle on the street below. There is good restaurant food from the hotel, but the real attraction must be the range of customizable cocktails that can be ordered. (Try the Baijiu cocktails for yourself or your overseas guests!) Perhaps what carries this place furthest is the staff who are unfailingly prompt and courteous. Special thanks to Sai for being attentive to my guests! On the whole, an excellent riverside rooftop bar with gorgeous views, good vibes, and great cocktails.
- muchwow (10/5): Clean rooms with a gorgeous view of the river - This boutique hotel is situated by the river, offering stunning views at night and in the evening. Their bar serves a decent variety of drinks, and the bartenders are always willing to custom make a drink suited to your tastebuds. The rooms are clean and spacious, and most have balconies, which is becoming rarer for most hotels. Their restaurant also offers a decent selection of dimsum at reasonable prices. Location is pretty central, and you can reach most attractions with a 10mins cab ride.

- stella (10/5): Guangzhou's finest boutique hotel - Without a doubt, my favorite boutique hotel in China -- maybe the world. It is small, quaint and extremely charming. The entire staff makes me feel at home and like their most special guest. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Guangzhou. The hotel only has 21 rooms and each one is unique. I recommend having one on the 6th floor for the best view of the Pearl River. The rooftop bar is delightful in a spectacular setting overlooking the river. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and I highly recommend the restaurant for a fine Cantonese dinner. Each dish is beautifully presented and made with the freshest ingredients. The chef is a highly acclaimed Cantonese chef. They also have a shuttle for the Canton Fair. A short walk to Beijing Road for shopping. Cudos to the entire team: Sandy and Randy as managers are so helpful and welcoming, Naomi, Anne, Michael, Frances, Vivian, Zoe & Sai always greet you with a smile and willingness to help with anything.
