- Marilyn (8/5): Good motel. - It was a good motel, juse what we needed, clean bed and bath.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not the best introduction to Burns Lake - No air conditioning, I was offered a small fan. No water, I was offered a small bottles of water?
- Donald (10/5): Very Pleasant Spot to Overnight - Innkeeper was most welcoming and pleasant, and my room was well equipped featuring satellite TV and fast wifi.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Confused - The young fellow had a real hard time trying to check us in. He ran our credit card twice. Had us concerned. We had made advance reservation. We arrived on the correct date. He took down our confirmation number. Now I get a message from them that we did not check in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable road trip stop - It's an older hotel but it's clean and the staff are very helpful.
- Sandy (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent place to stay. I would highly recommend this motel. 10/10 Very clean and comfortable, you will not be disappointed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant hotel with convenient kitchenette. - Pleasant bright room with convenient kitchenette that us well supplied. Not much traffic noise even though it's located beside highway . Staff is very friendly and helpful .
- Barry (10/5): Wanakena Motel - Owners/Managers were very courteous and helpful. The room was clean. The stay was quiet. Would stay there again.
- RAY (8/5): - Excellent location and owner/operators very pleasant. The property is well maintained, rooms are dated but clean and functional. Good value for the money spent.
- Craig (6/5): Wanakena Motel - Burns Lake, BC - September 2016 - Found the motel south of the south end of town. Check in was good, room adequate - comfortable bed, adequate shower, quiet, convenient parking. Not fancy, but adequate.
- Trevor (8/5): Quiet place - Good motel, outdated inside but nice and clean and quiet
- Verified traveler (4/5): A basic place to sleep, if that's all you want. - The TV didn't work, and the bathroom fixtures had not been cleaned properly. On the other hand the bed was comfortable and the room quiet.
- Leonard (8/5): A night in Burns Lake BC. - Room was clean a little small but at a good location for us.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good motel, enough for a one night stay. Nothing fancy but clean. A little bit out of date but everything works. If you need a rest after long trip should be more than enough. Free WiFi is a plus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Although the motel is older, it was quiet, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a pleasant stay.
- Ruby (4/5): Very small room - First there wasn't an ice machine & was given small amt.in pitcher. Room was so small & had a partial kitchenette which only had a hot plate for cooking. Clothes hanger was far up the wall next to bed as there wasn't enough room anywhere else. Bed comfort was so-so. Room had a strange smell. Everything was clean. Not much choice in the area. Was only for a night. Upon ck in at 4pm the staff person said "early, couldn't travel any further " . Wish we could have!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly hotel - The rooms are spacious with seoaration, they are also well maintained and clean, well equipped with stoves, oven, and kitchen tools.
The TV works well with access to many channels.
There is free wifi access, but at times, it was difficult to make the connection.
- Daniel (4/5): Go elsewhere - I had a room on the backside. It's smelled really bad. And there is little to no Wi-fi over there. Had to walk around the front to pick up a signal. Owner acted like he would really rather be in a million other places.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic but friendly - Friendly staff and good size room but outdated everything (furniture, decor) and room smelly a bit stuffy. Good mattress, TV and wireless worked fine. My room had a kitchenette which was very handy. Motel was busy with construction workers. The motel is a bit out of town so there really isn't anywhere to walk to. Right now this town doesn't have many lodging options but a hotel in town is getting renovated and a new motel is being built on the west side of town.
- B n L (10/5): Always a Repeat Overnight Spot For Us - We've stayed here before, and this completes a second time, and we will be here once again before the 2016 summer ends. The proprietor family are very polite and caring, including son; they are capable inn owners, and nothing appears to be needing work. Their employee I briefly encountered was very positive and friendly. It's a great location up on a bluff with the town just below to the west. There's good parking and decent enough turn-around room for most trailers, and I found nothing missing or out of order in the room, which was a kitchenette upgrade.
- Minnie (2/5): - Room was okay but needs a lot of upgrading. Smells very, very old and musty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Lost reservation - When we arrived at the hotel they said they didn't receive the reservation information from Expedia and that they didn't have room for us. We ended up driving to the other end of town to stay in a different hotel.
- J (6/5): Basic - Host was rather confused and claimed his partner has given our room away. He replaced it with a 2 queen beds room which he said was one of his best. I presumed the room was for 4 persons but there was only 1 bowl. For those who are cooking there was 1 cooking pot without lid and a fry pan. On the plus side, there was salt and pepper, and a big fridge.
- Norman (8/5): Nice place - Considering the town is small this is a nice place it was quiet and comfortable.
- jorg (4/5): - a little out of the way. Minimal services. if you are staying one or two nights as a place to sleep for a low price, itll do.
