- Tobias (8/5): - Sehr bequeme Betten. Wir hatten Balkon und Seeblick. Kostenloser Parkplatz. Freundliches Personal. Zimmer frisch renoviert. "Frühstück inklusive" war etwas übertrieben, eher ein Snacks am Morgen. ( zum Essen gab es Muffins aus dem Supermarkt, Äpfel und günstige Joghurts ). Kein privater Balkon, es liefen ständig Leute vor unserem Zimmer vorbei. ( Nachbarn waren recht laut )

Je kunt een paar muffins, vruchtensap, thee of koffie (bijv. naar je kamer) meenemen er is dus geen aparte ontbijtruimte. Gewone Earl Grey thee was er niet. De hoeveelheid geluid die de geluidshoorns van de Canadese treinen produceren, is werkelijk gigantisch zeker 's nachts :( De gehorigheid in dit motel viel erg mee. Mensen die slecht ter been zijn/ moeilijk hun koffer(s) kunnen tillen: er is geen lift!

Friendly staff, nice view of the garden area at the back, very convenient location close to hwy 5. No access to the beach this year as the area is being torn up and renovated.

- Roberto1022 (5/5): Great location, bad hotel - The location is great The hotel wasn't as clean as expected from a hotel; the towels were yellow and should have been thrown out years ago, the hotel smells of curry everywhere, the balcony and the outside are like a garbage - lots of stuff that should not be there for the customers to enjoy the beautiful views. And the breakfast is a snack. A few yogurts, apples, and cupcakes are not breakfast. And no milk for coffee, which seems strange, to say the least.

- Konstantin Potok (4/5): May long weekend stay - Great location and friendly staff , chip price. This place is actually a motel, not a hotel. Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. Since they offer pet-friendly rooms, the room had a strong smell of pet urine. The listing says the property was renovated, but it looked like the renovations were done over 15 years ago. In our room, the smoke detector was missing, exposed wires were sticking out of the wall, and the shower drain was broken. The “included breakfast” was also misleading — it was just a small table with yogurt, packaged muffins, apples and coffee. Overall, the property did not match the expectations set by the advertisement.
- Jane (6/5): Ok for a one night stay. - Hotel was just off the highway The room had not been cleaned before we arrived. The previous occupants garbage hadn’t been emptied. The bathroom towels were dirty. There were cigarette buts outside the bedroom window. There wasn’t a dining table or chairs in the room. The breakfast was a ‘grab and go’ picked up from the reception area and comprised yoghurt, muffins and apples plus orange juice, tea and coffee. From the description it sounded like it was next to the golf course - it isn’t.

Leider kein gesundes Frühstück womit man einen Tag mit Wanderung starte kann. Wir haben uns dann selber das Frühstück geholt :(

- Van Herk (9/5): The room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. - The room was clean and quite. I was travelling with a pet, but there were no outside garbage bins for pet waste. This isn't something that I want to throw out inside the building or in the office. If providing a service for pet accessibility, an outdoor trash bin is recommended.

- Tiera (3/5): A disappointing stay in a poorly renovated hotel that didn't accommodate a family well. - The room was clean and the beds were comfortable A lot of things didn't work: the hot water, the stove top, the middle door lock. The room wasn't set up for a family to use the kitchen- only 3 forks, not full set of dishes, only 3 chairs at the wobbly dining table, etc. Someone was at the front desk only half the time. We'd ring the bell but no one would come. There was no phone in room to call the front desk either. No one was there upon checkout- I had to go track down the cleaning lady to check us out. "Breakfast" was three remaining muffins at the check in desk, with some small yogurts and soft apples. Not enough to consider this a breakfast for a family. We wouldn't have stayed here had we known that it wasn't actually a breakfast (we still had to go out and pay for a proper breakfast). The renovation that we assume the hotel went through was pretty poor- with unfinished parts of the floor, peeling cupboard paint, lifting wallpaper, dripping paint marks... Overall, not like the pictures or description of what the listing was.

The smart TV and Nespresso machine were great add ons they made. Overall, natural-feeling stay that’s definitely worth it for the atmosphere. I’ll recommend and return back.

That the free breakfast was a 7 minute drive away and was also not stated anywhere to know this ahead of time. We also experienced a sheet that didn’t look clean, whether it was stained or not changed it shouldn’t have been on a bed.

Short walk down to the lake at the back of the property. Good spot for deer spotting. The walk down to the lake behind the property could do with better signage.

- Richard (6/5): We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Civilia because it was comfortable, clean and had wonderful views - Breakfast was served at an associated golf and restaurant property close by. Very friendly service and the breakfast was simple, hearty and served hot. Beautiful patio setting overlooks golf course and nearby mountains. The property needs some inexpensive upgrades like new door mats in front of the suites and on steps to second floor. Rubbish bins and some old construction materials should be hidden from the entrance and parking area.

There was a bright white light outside that I could not turn off that was shining all night and it was hard to sleep even with the curtains closed.the mattress could have been more comfortable.

'The motel faces towards a lake, and the grounds are nice. The room itself was good. The continental breakfast was minimal (oranges, muffins and yogurt). Temperature regulation in the room was a bit of an issue.

- Brian (8/5): - We've stayed at this property numerous times over the past five years and it always been great. This time however I'd say it was good. This time we were on the main level and the room was just not as spacious or conveniently layout as the rooms we've had on the 2nd floor. AND the included breakfast was not available until 8:30am....we're on the road by 8:00am at the latest so that felt not okay. Breakfast has always been available by 7am or even earlier at every other hotel so thumbs down for that. If had not had the long positive history I likely would not recommend it but will write this one off as just a one off.

We left after one night when we were meant to stay two. Wouldn’t recommend the place or the hotel unless passing through and need somewhere cheap and cheerful to rest.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. It’s located a short distance from Clearwater, and within walking distance (5mins) if the Welks Gray Inn, where we ate twice, and had excellent meals. It’s extremely close to Wells Gray Provincial Park too. They have an arrangement with a sister company for breakfast, which is served at Civilia Golf Course, some 7km away.

La qualitat pel preu que cobren. Llit relativament petit, encara que confortable. La mini terrassa que donava al llac era compartida amb les altres habitacions que poden veure la teva. L'esmorzar que t'ofereixen en un restaurant a 7 km de l'hotel és molt millorable.

- Michael (6/5): Good service, nice room and view but facilities and advertising wasn’t great - Nice view from the balcony out into the lake, room was comfy enough and the staff were nice Advertised a private beach front which didn’t exist, I believe it did at some point but it seems like there’s construction work going on down there now so we had to use the public beach by the lake. The complementary breakfast is also a 7 minute drive away at a golf club where there was no options, just a plate of food which wasn’t good.
