Guest Reviews
- Kevin (8/5): - Parking garage was tight. Didn't care for pets being there. They didn't inforce their rules about the size of dog's and breeds. Or smoking on grounds
- Patricia (10/5): - Ocean front was fabulous. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We didnt use the pool but the area was neat and tidy.
- HENRY (6/5): - Had a decent view of he Ocean. Building appears to need some TLC. Multiple Hurricane Balcony Windows/Doors have loose insulation hanging from several Units on 8th through 10th floors, had to clean bottom of feet before putting on shoes; Floor was swept but hasn't been mopped. Pool Bar had beach towel on awning entire week but the slipper beside it was blown off by the wind. Multiple units had visitors smoking something other than cigarettes (did not feel it would safe to drive from contact smoke). The Place had a different feel about it from a stay in February of 2022. Not a good change.
- alfonso (6/5): - Door room open haro
- Kerri (6/5): - The property and staff were very good. Our room was awful!!
- Karen (10/5): K sept 2025 - Well this this the 4 years. We away stay 12th floors or above. But this time we went to 17teen lv it. Bar great and ocean view great pool everything was great I b back again and again.
- ShaKaera (10/5): - I recently stayed at The Patricia Grand in Myrtle Beach, and overall I had a really nice time. The best part was definitely the location, it’s right on the beach, so I could just walk out and enjoy the ocean whenever I wanted. The balcony view from my room was beautiful, especially in the morning.
- Derrick (8/5): - Just an older hotel but it was clean, well maintained and the staff was friendly.
- Jemal (10/5): - Staff was really nice and helpful.
- Sandra (8/5): - We always enjoy staying at the Patricia Grand hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, in the summer they have a DJ at the pool, it's a great view of the ocean and most important to us they are pet friendly. I would recommend staying here to anyone
- Kimberly (10/5): - We loved being here especially since we have 2 kids and they loved the pools, hot tubs, lazy river and that it was so close to the beach. However, our room was in kinda bad shape. The ceiling had spots that were coming off, there was a hole in the wall in the bedroom, and the floor in the bathroom had a spot where the flooring was ripped. We also had a lot of gnats or fruit flys everywhere in the room and the closet door beside the bathroom was like halfway coming off the track. Besides the room we stayed in we love this place!
- Wendy (10/5): - Everyone was so friendly and kind
- Sarah (6/5): - Needs updating and is dirty
- Gwendolyn (6/5): - Its was ok.i had ask for oceanfront, and we received a side ocean view. Room didnt smell good. We wasnt pleased at all.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Entry system using number code is too sensitive. Multiple tries are required. When successful, a push with full body is required to get the door open. Was told that the use of card keys were replaced due to freezing in the winter months. Curious how many days this actually occurred at Myrtle Beach.
- Jose A (10/5): - Las piscinas me encantaron😍
- Kimberly (8/5): - I wish you had breakfast buffet instead of charging $14 for food that looked frozen or fake. Other than that itc was a great stay.
- Glenn (8/5): - Hotel itself was a little outdated, needs some refreshing, but it was ok for the price. Close to all amenities. Close enough to the boardwalk strip, but far enough away from the noise. Staff were very nice and helpful. Parking garage can be a little tight, especially if you have a truck or large car.
- mike (8/5): - Very nice property
- Roberto (6/5): - Bathroom door needed to be pushed to be closed, tv apps are not being updated so when you open certain apps they were long overdue updates that took forever to download before you can use it. The pool area and jacuzzi can use a deep cleaning. Wasn't a fan of the code to open the door, should update to card tap. As for checkout time being 10 totally bad idea, everyone is rushing out on the elevator to check out so it takes forever to get an elevator with space for you to go in. Should update checkout time to 12
- Ben (10/5): - Ok
- Wanda (10/5): - This property was clean and everything you needed was in the area, food, night club, cvs.
- Peter (10/5): - The only bad thing about the stay was elevator wait during check in and check out. Other than that it was amazing! Can’t wait to go back
- Edna (10/5): Great Stay - Great food options, comfortable room, VERY pet friendly. Everything easily accessible
- Eugene (6/5): - I did not try the food options in the hotel. I followed the sign to the gift shop and it was full of old mattresses. The hotel only gives you 2 tiles and 2 rags at a time. I had a family of 4 and had to keep going down to guest services to switch out the 2 tiles and rags for another 2, so everyone could wash up check out is at 10 am and seems kind of early compared to other hotels. The hotel room was ok and had great scenery otherwise.
- Habiba (8/5): - We have really nice view from the room and the staff was really friendly and pool was clean.
- FLETCHER (10/5): - Liked that it is pet friendly.
- Christopher (8/5): - The parking garage is very small and tight. The elevators are shaky, we got stuck once and then 2 were shut down for our entire trip. The rooms is moldy BUT for a pet friendly hotel, the access to the beach it was a good stay. It wasn’t bad just average.
- Kaye (6/5): - Ocean front
- Jennifer (6/5): - Reasonable price. Clean. Kitchen was well stocked. DJ at pool was a nice touch. Unit had a Queen Pull Out Sofa Bed that had a mattress that was awfully thin, requested extra comforters & stacked those on top to make it bearable. Elevators were slow, hot & completely broken down daily. Toilet leaked & ran the entire stay. Fire alarm went off at 5:30 & 6:30am due to a glitch in the system. Had to evacuate from 14 floors. Activities only happened during the week - no weekend activities other than pool DJ. Door codes were 10 digits long - awfully long number to remember so we had to take our phone everywhere so we could look at the number! If you got it wrong it would lock out & have to be reset at 3x.
- m (10/5): - Evertime we stay here its a good time for my family and our dog.
- Kayla (8/5): - Room was clean and balcony was nice. Elevators are not air conditioned which was a bit rough when outside temps were 100° and going up in humid box. Rooms had AC and that was nice. Our room had kitchen which was really nice to have the big fridge and freezer. It was a nice stay and being right on the beach was a huge plus. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.
- Kendra (6/5): Alright - Room was alright beautiful view didn’t feel it was cleaned good tho our soap was over half empty and our pull out couch bed had crumbs all in it? But other then that it was a decent room and decent stay I give it about a 3 I would consider staying there abain
- Elisha (10/5): - The property was awesome.
- Paula (6/5): Patricia Grand - The stay was ok. We brought our small dog and I saw nothing about the fee when booking the room. Also, the info about dogs is that only dogs weighing 20lbs or less were allowed. However, we saw atleast 6 dogs who were very large. Also, no bags for dog waste so there was dog manure all in the grass and some even on the sidewalk.
- Patty (6/5): - When I made revisions l thought we were getting condos but we got a small room
- Tina (8/5): - We loved the location, the view, and the people working there are very nice.
- Natalya (4/5): No Daily cleaning - We had a plumbing problem. We called the front desk and was informed that there is no maintenance available until 9am. Maintenance did come and fix the toilet. I asked front desk when housekeeping would arrive and was told that there is no daily cleaning. The room will not be cleaned until we check out. I stated but the bathroom needs cleaned because the toilet was clogged and the bathroom smells. The front desk staff stated that there's no cleaning until we check out. I stated can I get cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom he stated that they do not supply cleaning supplies but I can come down and get clean towels, trash bags, paper towels and toilet tissue.
- Daniel (8/5): - Room and bathroom was clean. Smells good. Disappointed that restaurant/bar was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Had to go to the hotel nextdoor to get a mixed drink.
- Rossie (4/5): - It’s needs a really bad upgrade, the curtains have mold and the I feel smell like mold and it stick. My family and I always stay here when we come to Myrtle bc of all the pools, but if I ever go back I will not be staying here.
- Catina (8/5): Good place to stay. - The room was okay nothing spectacular. The room felt damp the whole time. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were not the best. They were knotty which made them feel a little rough on the skin. The view was fabulous!!! The pool areas were nice lots to choose from. But the small pool and hot tubs had ALOT of sand in them. Which I do understand but still looks nasty. The restaurant on the 2nd floor. OMG it was one of those one and done type places. To expensive for the amount of food you get. The place was sold out and it is a dog friendly hotel but it was quiet and everyone was so nice. The front desk ladies were so nice and helpful. I would stay agin.
- Laura (6/5): Ok, but wouldn’t return. - Just completed a stay at Patricia Grand. Overall, place is OK, but we wouldn’t stay there again.
Pros: in good area if like to be close to eateries or mini golf, indoor & outdoor pools, right on beach, parking garage across street, studio apt comfortable & roomy, balcony has view of beach. Restaurant is very good. Cafe in lobby. Adequate utensils, etc..in kitchenette, full size fridge.
Cons: outlet behind chair was loose, bedside lamp not working, safe was in locked open position, door number lock was finicky, ac not very strong, shower nozzle coming out of wall (when maintenance was notified by front desk, they came quickly to repair everything but loose outlet behind chair), noisy, smell of smoke when out on balcony - not sure if this was from our hotel or one right next door, shower spray very light, no conditioner in bottle on wall, front desk variable- some very nice, some indifferent. Had to strip bed before leaving, no housekeeper during our stay but front desk said to contact them if need items. Can be noisy.
- Sonja (10/5): - Wonderful pools and tubbing area and beautiful Beach.
- Dennis (6/5): - The room was clean. The balcony faced the ocean as advertised, but there was yet another balcony in front of it with a drain and two pipes that ran from the corners to the drain in the middle. You could see the ocean, but you had to look at the balcony with the drain at the same time. We accidentally left some hang up clothes in the room. I contacted Vacasa in an attempt to reclaim my clothes. They said they would contact a local representative and check with them. I checked again a few days later. Still no word.
- Rudolph (10/5): - Everything was great ! We will definitely be back and will tell others .
- Stephen (10/5): - I am a repeat visitor, I come just about every year to this property. The overall property have withstood the test of time but some of the rooms can use a little upgrade hopefully coming in the future. A special thank you goes to Heaven, she really made me feel very welcome as my bartender at the Indigo restaurant I enjoyed my meal and conversation.
- Jay Brian (10/5): - The place was great and everyone was accommodating.
- Michelle (6/5): - The room was spacious but in desperate need of remodeling. The code to get in was ridiculous and rarely worked on first try! The staff were nice and the restaurant was decent.
- Timothy (8/5): - Patricia Grand was nice, clean, convenient to many activities & restaurants.
Only down side was NO Housekeeping!
- Samantha (4/5): - The key pad for our room didn’t work, even after multiple attempts by hotel staff to fix it. Very inconvenient.
- Michael (10/5): - Everything was great except the room key code is way to many numbers and it was frustrating. Had to have the receptionist open the door on 2 occasions.
- Christopher (2/5): - We initially were very pleased with the accommodations, but on our second day at the hotel, someone gained entry to our room and stole my wife's laptop and charger. It was out on the desk and was charging. Funny thing, her pocket book was on the desk too, but didn't appear to be touched. The people at the front desk were less than helpful and rude. They said they had no security cameras on the halls for privacy reasons, and no one at the hotel had access to the rooms until after guests check out, when the door codes are erased and housekeeping can enter to clean for the next guests. They implied that maybe she had too much to drink and only thought she had her laptop, and then told her to file a police report. I know she had her laptop and even had to move the desk so that the charger could reach the wall outlet. The safe in the room was also broken and would not close.
Sadly, the hotel is in a great location and priced pretty well, but this whole ordeal tarnished our perception of the Patricia Grand. We hoped we wouldn't have any other issues, because they don't seem to care for the needs of their patrons.
The rest of our stay was very good. Great friends, great food, and great times. But we will not stay at this establishment again for safety concerns.
- myrven (8/5): - We had a wonderful time staying at the Patricia grand at Myrtle Beach. The room was in good shape and we had a wonderful stay. The bed on the other hand was kind of hard. That’s why I did not give a five star rating. Other than that. We had a wonderful time and a wonderful stay at the Patricia grand
- Darlene (6/5): - excellent service, place a little dated mattress needs update over all very nice
- Jimmy (8/5): - Although our room was 'relatively' clean, I felt the room needs renovation overall. Shower pressure was very good. We really enjoyed the pools and hot whirlpools. The side view was actually very good.
- Janice (6/5): More waves than the ocean - Check in process was simple and quick. Upon entering the room we noticed the balcony door lock was missing the locking mechanism. The telephone did not work. The bathroom sink had a crack in it. Main door has a fake lock that is only there for looks. The bed was the worst bed we've ever slept in. It has more waves in it than the ocean. Seriously, there were no comfortable spots to lay on. The mattress needs to be changed asap!
The room was very clean!
Shower pressure was good.
- Skye (8/5): - Was a nice stay for it being Memorial Day weekend. We did see small cockroaches on the last night we
- Paula (8/5): - It needed upgrading for the elevators or add another. Housekeeping was very, very pleasant and so sweet.
- Blakista (10/5): - Great place
- Erica Patrice (6/5): - Hotel was outdated, our room smelled like mold. The tub didn’t drain so you stand shin high in your shower water. Attempted the hot tub but it was slimy.
- Carlos (10/5): - Everything was good no issues had a great time
- Marsha (6/5): - The check in and check out process was incredibly easy. The pools and hot tubs were great. Room was nice and clean. It was mostly quiet, except for the second afternoon when people down the hall were arguing in the hallway. The biggest downside was the elevators and lack or luggage carts. The side where we stayed only had two of the three elevators working. It took over 45 minutes to get downstairs when we were trying to pack up and leave. The elevator only opened 5 times in that span, so it wasn’t like we kept seeing packed cars. We weren’t seeing the doors open that much. I understand that it would be hard to add more elevators, but the broken one should have been fixed before the spring/summer travel season started.
- David (6/5): - There were roaches on the wall. The zinc was dirty. Bed was old. No alarm clock; was unable to use the electrical outlet for my phone because it was out of place. The view was spectacular! Pool area, beach, was perfect. Location was really good.
- Carrie (6/5): - Using the 10 digit code they give is terrible. Why not use vacationer phone # instead. The code was ridiculous and didn’t always work. The room was old...musty smelling....paint peeling.....ceiling needed repairs.
- Callie (2/5): - Had to keep shoes on my two year old due to floors being so dirty. Also made a complaint about the smoke coming from next door our entire stay and stressed that it was unsafe for our child to be inhaling. Was told my front desk that there was nothing that could be done. Worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. Will not be back.
- Michelle (10/5): - Loved this place
- Heather (6/5): - Other than the elevators all being down and having to climb 14 flights of stairs, and the Starbucks lady being very rude it wasn’t all that bad. My room was not the best, I have stayed there before in different rooms that were much nicer. The ocean view was the best.
- Charles (4/5): - The “code system” to get into your room.
2.no clean towels for 4 days
3.no housekeeping services for 4 days
4.$30.00 towel replacement card
5. No fresh coffee packets for 4 days
- Debbie (10/5): - I love that they had an indoor pool which was heated. April weather outside is not the best so having that option was great.
- Deborah (6/5): - This visit was not very pleasant
- Sean (8/5): - The keypad door terribly annoying and antiquated and should be replaced with a more modern entry lock.
- Kim (8/5): - We were extremely impressed with the front desk attendant AnneMarie. She was so cheerful and helpful during our whole stay. Thats so nice to encounter
- Teia (10/5): - I enjoyed the fact that it was clean I was on the 19th floor. Wanted to get in the hot tub but it was full of guest. All around a great stay! Will stay again at this location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Book elsewhere! - The hotel needs to be renovated. Terrible bed to sleep on. Mold in room and didn't look very clean. Only stayed here due to pet accommodations. This used to be a nice hotel years ago but definitely not the same.
- Kineshia (8/5): Hotel stay - Was nice didn’t like the parking lot the jacuzzi was great
- Jeannie (10/5): - Beautiful location , clean, great front desk ladies
- cherish (10/5): - A very beautiful view of the ocean
- Tanya (10/5): love it :) - i love it very quiet and my family love
- Joseph W. (8/5): - Nice stay. The parking garage is quite an event!
- Shelly (10/5): - Had a blastt, room was clean, hot tub was amazing! Easy check in and out. Lots of parking! Will definitely be back!
- bruce (10/5): - Was amazing
- Ariquianna (10/5): - Very nice people, very nice stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was not clean when we arrived. Food on bathroom floor, hair on the bed sheets, stains on the side of the bed, and the lock to the balcony just fell off when we touched it. Our tub had a big crack in it and it did not drain well at all. The property other than the room was nice, and staff was helpful.
- Angie (6/5): - The hotel was not terrible but in desperate need of updating.
- Corey (8/5): Good accomodations Overall - It was a nice condo overall. The sofa bed was broken. It was hard to open and was rubbing the frame when it was pulled out. It also sagged on the couch side and our daughter had to sleep with her head at the foot so that she wouldn't be inverted. The view was nice, the indoor pool was also nice.
- Lisa (10/5): - Great
- Michelle (10/5): - The only issue was out of three elevators only one worked all the time
- Brittany (10/5): - Room was clean staff was friendly
- Marrissa (10/5): - We had a great time
- Dwight (6/5): - The 24 hour on duty attendance the parking was ok. The indoor pool was nice. The front entrance doors need to be updated with key cards. The shower was bad and had low water pressure. With the sliding door closed the wind would make a wind noise at night.
- Edward (6/5): - Rooms could use a proper cleaning, floors were dirty. Alot of wear and tear in the room. Cheap towels and sheets, bed was terrible, bowed in the center, noisy, and didn't fit the frame. The room was missing some furniture.
This hotel was probably really nice 10 years ago.
Positive notes, the pools and lazy river were very clean, beach access is very nice, staff was nice.
- Debie (8/5): - Our stay at The Patricia Grand was very good. We were in Myrtle Beach for the Run to the Sun Car show and it was an easy walk from the hotel (saving us parking costs). The hotel was clean all around and staff was friendly. Our grand daughter enjoyed the heated pools and hot tubs. Breakfast was great with generous amount of food (needs a few more options). Staff at breakfast was wonderful, especially Debbie. Our room 1736 was basic, but clean. our biggest issues was the 10 digit passcode to get into our room (our grand daughter had no problems) and the lack of seating around the pool areas. Otherwise, everything was very good.
- Chris (10/5): - We have had the same room for the past 3 years. We like change. They did take up the carpet and replace with laminate click flooring. Kitchen area had broken ceramic flooring she should have been replaced with all the same flooring. Toilet tank ran often, May have a broken floater. Wooden furniture needs replacing. Hang TV’s up on walls and throw away the pictures that have mold-in the matting. Still enjoy every sunrise which is beautiful!!
- Brandon (10/5): - If they had free breakfast and a jacuzzi in the rooms would be all i need
- Raquanta (10/5): - I will be back
- Steve (6/5): - We utilize this hotel every year around this time for the car show. Property is convenient but our room this time wasn’t as nice as usual.
- Donya (4/5): - The whole building seemed old and worn. Cleanliness was below average but not terrible. Both beds squeezed very loudly. Every time you moved they squeeked. Pools and outside property were very nice.
- Julie (4/5): - The check out time was 10am which every other place I have ever stayed has been 11 am !! The outlets on the room were loose or didn’t work at all. The lamp shades we’re disgusting and dirty
- Michelle (8/5): - Check in fast and easy, room was nice. Lots of pizza flyers we received 😁 great location for what we were there for. Wouldn’t eat at the Indigo Hotel restaurant. But would stay here again.
- Steve (8/5): - Hotel as great parking garage was horrible
