I needed to grab a few items from the store and found that there was Walgreens within a walkable distance which was very convenient. We were able to check in early and all-in-all it was a pleasant stay.
- louis (8/5): Ok Place To Stay - Stay was nice. Front desk crew was very friendly and helpful. Pool was not well kept. Rooms were super spacious and beds were fine. Pull out couch felt like blankets on metal bars. The pool and pull out couch were my only issues. Nice and clean room, great customer service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Usually stay here, probably won't anymore - We are from Louisiana and normally stay at this particular hotel whenever we travel to Houston to see the Astros play. We have never had an issue before. We got into town an hour early and asked to check in but room wasn't ready. It was still ready a half hour before check-in, which I was grateful for because we were anxious to get where we were going. I'm not sure what kind of system is in place to notify housekeeping that guests have arrived into a certain room, but a few minutes of getting into our room, we heard a knock on the door and housekeeping came through so quickly we didn't even have a chance to say we were in there. Otherwise, the room was clean and bed was super comfortable. Everything was in proper working order except for the strobe light in the shower when it was turned on. We did not stay for breakfast as we were heading out early to get back home. The area is quiet and parking is convenient.
- Donna (6/5): Uh…no - Very old building in need of updates and repair. Musty smell woke me several times. Ceiling in bathroom falling apart. Lots of hair on bathroom floor. Looked as if someone wiped their nose on wall next to bed. If we had checked in earlier, we probably would’ve left and gone to another hotel. The lady at the front desk was lovely and helpful.
- Srinivas (2/5): - Terrible Experience – No Water, No Support, No Refund Our stay was ruined due to severe water damage at the property. We had no running water for the entire stay, which made basic needs impossible to meet. Even worse, the staff's response was completely unacceptable — they were unhelpful, evasive, and offered no real solutions. They promised a refund within 4 days, but we never received a single cent. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Absolutely unacceptable.

- Kelly (4/5): - First off, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC cooled well. BUT....there were quite a few issues that are not typical of a Holiday Inn Express and it was quite aggravating. The outlets near the bed (they were built into the lamp) did not work. The alarm clock did not work. There was NO ice in the whole hotel (I asked...all of their ice machines were broken!). Breakfast ended at 9:30 on a Saturday, so I was there at 9. There was very little food available. It's not that it was all eaten before I got there...the place was empty. The pancake machine didn't work, only one type of yogurt in the fridge, the fruit area had only whole apples. I was sitting drinking my coffee, and they turned off the lights in the dining area at 9:26! in the bathroom, the paint was coming off the mirror frame and the door. There was a slight odor of paint in the room, but we did adjust, and the AC helped minimize the smell. Although it was safe, comfortable beds, and clean, the lack of amenities (which is why we usually book Holiday Inns) was frustrating and disappointing. With so many other hotels in that area, I will not stay at this one again.

We came to Baytown to visit Pirates Bay and have a little mini staycay away from home in Houston; our check-in was easy and the front desk rep Nicole was amazing from start to finish. When we arrived in our room we noticed our television wasn’t working for some reason (tried all troubleshooting options) and needed more towels for the kids. I called the front desk and Nicole not only brought fresh towels personally, she also brought another television to replace the one that wasn’t working! She could’ve easily apologized for the non-working one and left it at that but she went above and beyond, we were truly grateful for her, she was amazing!

Remote Their room key was not working most of the time I stay there for today’s and I was not able to get most of the time around the other doors. The breakfast was pretty bad service was pretty bad. My room was pretty dirty. What’s there 2 days I asked for them to clean my room. Nobody came through man years were pretty bad loud talking.
- Brenda (2/5): My bad experience at the Holiday Inn - My stay at the Holiday Inn in Baytown was pretty bad food was awful. No one cleaned my room for three days. I did ask the managers were pretty bad talking. The hotel smells like smoked. My key card did not work most of the time.

When I open our bag of clothes at our home the clothes REEKED of smoke. It’s very upsetting seeing as how my children stayed with us. I would never suggest this place to anyone.

No cold water from faucet, bathroom fan not working, toilet running constantly, not enough lighting in the room. Generally old, worn decor, drawer on cabinet kept rolling out and getting in the way. It’s not a horrible place to stay but is not priced appropriately for what you get.

We noticed this time they didn't have the same things on their bkfast menu, such as cinnamon rolls, omelets, fruit, and a few other breakfast items. This was kind of depressing cuz that's one of the reasons we like staying there. Even the pancake machine was not working.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Not worth the money. - Carpet was so dirty it carried an odor in the room. AC filter was also very dirty which carried a bad smell. There was a coffee spill in the stairwell for the 2 full days we were there and is probably still there till this day. Only thing that seemed to be clean was the sheets. What broke the camels back was a dog was barking on our floor maybe 4 doors down and it took about an hour of complaining for it to stop. This is around the time of 11:30PM. Hotel did give half off that night but I feel it should’ve compensated the entire night for waking us up 3 times. Couldn’t get back to sleep until 1AM and left early that next morning for a 6 hour drive. The poor compensation is what drove me to write the review.

- william (6/5): - Pre-checked in early due to business meeting. Could not access room which was ok, but we were put into the system. upon arrival for check in later that evening, they did not have the room we reserved; no ,more king sized beds. Took queen.
- Joseph (8/5): - It was clean, but the sheets had some crumbs on it. The noise from the street cars could be heard quite a bit. The remote control had tape on the back of the remote for the batteries. There was no TV guide and the TV was not working properly.

- Arlena (2/5): - Very helpful staff. Harley went above and beyond on dealing with what didn’t go well during our stay. The room was dirty. There was trash on and around the sofa bed. Nasty.

- Nicole (8/5): Ok at best - The first floor of the Hotel was still under construction from a massive water leak over a month ago. The room we stayed in was clean but had the smell of paint and was super muggy. Overall our stay was just OK. It worked out For just one night. The receptionist was amazing and super friendly! Not sure I’ll stay here again though.
- Belinda (10/5): - I was not expecting that the property is being renovated, so no amenities tp speak of, like the fitness room. Its advertised as a non-smoking property, but probably was a smoking property previously as you can still smell the stale smoke in the rooms, also could smell actual smoke in the hallway- so someone WAS smoking there. HOWEVER, the staff I encountered were wonderful & very friendly - kudos to them - they were great!
- Jared (8/5): - Hotel was in the middle of a remodel. First floor looked to be recovering/remodeling from a flood? Staff was very nice and helpful. Even with the remodel and limited room, breakfast was good and check in/out was fast and easy.
- Christina (4/5): Not the best experience - One of the rooms doors didn’t lock, anyone could just walk in. Room wasn’t very clean, toys were still on the floor from previous customers. Construction in building set off fire alarm, where we discovered one of the rooms alarms weren’t functioning and never went off.

- Elizabeth (4/5): Never again! - I will never stay there again, front desk was great but the room had a bad smell to it, very outdated, looked very run down. You'd think a Holiday Inn would be nicer, not this one! Never again!
- TAMBRA (4/5): - They are clearly undergoing much needed renovation. Our carpet was wet under the a/c unit/window, smelled moldy, serious signs of wear and tear.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Will not stay here again. - Will never stay here again. It was deplorable. They didn’t tell us they had a huge leak and water damage to half the hotel. It was draped. The elevator was broke. It smelled horrible and hallways were filthy. Had to use stairs. Carpet in room was sopping wet. It was a bad choice to stay here!

- Patricia (8/5): Good place - Lobby was open, and lots of space for breakfast area to spread out and feel safe. Breakfast was decent although lack of fresh fruit, juices, and some items mentioned on their breakfast board was disappointing. Also, there was a table that displayed a picture of a spray bottle and mentioned being safety conscious, but all 3 days we were there, I never saw a bottle. Thankfully, I carry my own sanitizing spray. Our room was great, clean, spacious and comfy. LOVED IT! Housekeeping service, as they stated, was limited so ask for what you need like fresh towels and amenities. Front desk staff was always friendly.

- Daniel (4/5): Needs repair - Have stayed here in the past and the hotel has gone down hill. Pool was not open on my last stay and is still down. Toilets don’t flush, poor lighting, shower leaked. Beverages were still frozen for breakfast. Beds and pillows were comfortable and AC was great

- Verified traveler (4/5): - The experience was not a good one. The first room had many problems: the door looked like someone tried to break in, the door stopper on the wall was caved in, the fridge had a strange odor, the remote was missing the back plate, I did not get a complete set of towels. The carpets through out the facility were filthy. The air conditioner was not working in the hallways and many ice machines were not working. And finally the pool was closed.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed - I was told that hotels.com had cancel my room that was my first dissapointment, so someone else cancle there room there room so i was able to get a room, but the bathroom door handle came off when i tried to get in the room and the tv remote control did not have bateries and no bottem to it . This is the first time that i was disappointed in a hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - the rooms had a set smell. we inquired about flooding, we were told no. the condensation in the room made the sheets feel wet. i was concerned about bed bugs as o constantly felt like i was being bitten. i would not stay there again, nor would i recommend.

My family, as well as myself were questioning whether this hotel flooded in the past. Aside from that, it’s convenient so many restaurants and stores that you will enjoy yourself in Baytown.
