• Vaughn (7/5): Nice little motel. - Nice staff. Recently renovated. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Parking right outside the door was nice. Towels were very thin. Toilet paper was the thinnest we've ever seen in a hotel room. Coffee maker was old and very dirty. For the $20 a new coffee maker would have cost it would be worth it.

• Melanie (10/5): Better than you think! - The price was the best rate around. Checkin was easy. Staff was kind. The cleanliness of the room was impressive. The water pressure and hot water from the shower washed away the long drive. The bed was very comfortable. There is a little road traffic noise, but otherwise quiet. I will stay there again.

• Stephen (10/5): - Cute little motel. Most motels are pretty sketchy, but this was a cute little building that my wife and I loved. I took off one star from the clean writing because the first night there was dog hair or something on our comforter on the bed and on the first layer of sheets under that but once we notified them they took care of it immediately.

Although it is a small, no frills roadside motel, that is just fine, it’s quiet, quaint, clean, comfortable, very reasonably priced and the owners and staff are always very nice and accommodating! It fit us perfect and we enjoy our stay every time! Highly recommended!

No ice machine on property and chairs outside right near rooms not a good idea. Heard everyone hanging out and talking all evening.

• Z9717DPsusanr (4/5): Squeaky mattress - We booked a two nights stay here several weeks before arrival. Visiting family, all we needed was a comfortable bed to spend the night to get sleep after a long day. Well, even though there were a few stains on the bed cover, the linens were clean, Then we sat on the bed. The squeaking and wrenching noises the came from the bed was audible in the bathroom. You couldn't move without waking your bedmate. So, as a result, we did not get a very good nights sleep. Then we had to leave after the first night because of Helene, losing the cost of the 2nd night. But my husband and I agreed that it was worth the loss not to have to sleep on that mattress another night.

Parking right at room was great! Air conditioning was fine. Room needed to be cleaned better. Linens were old, though clean. Shower curtain was moldy. Room was humid. No water for awhile on last day.

• Mary (8/5): Very good - This motel is a very basic, older motel BUT the rooms (we stayed in two, due to unexpected 2nd night) were very clean, there has been some remodeling (tile floors, newer vanity, etc.), the beds were comfortable, and the staff very helpful and kind.
• David (10/5): This is a great stay for the price. - I have stayed here before. Compared to a Holiday Inn it would be a lower score. But in its price range it’s a 10. It was clean, had easy access to Main Street, the bed was very comfortable, it has a great shower, and the man who runs it is super nice. I would have liked a bigger towel. My tv was not receiving a signal when I got back to my room at 1:00 a. m.

• Carrie (2/5): June 30, 2024 - The room was too dim to even read in, sheets had stains on them, no wifi, tv was small and the picture was not sharp, the mattress was uncomfortable and when you lay down in it there was a distinct slant to where your head was significantly lower than your feet (I actually had to sleep with my feet towards the headboard).

Man that I assume owns it, was super friendly and when he saw us, came up to ask if we needed anything, when we were leaving he welcomed us to come back anytime. PERSONALLY! You do not get that with a big motel. Loved the personal touch! Everything was great! No dislikes.

The room was super clean as well as the bathroom, if you needed maid service it was available for whenever you needed it. They do not bombard you unless you need something but for the most part you are left alone (which should be most hotels). My significant other was traveling from out of town and Murphy Motel was the great place to stay not to far from town as well as other things to do.

• Rick (8/5): Moving to the area / one night stay - We are in the process of moving to the area from Indiana. I was taking a load to the new house from Indiana and was heading back home. I need some place to stay the night, because new house is not ready. Murphy Motel was quick and easy from it's location. The motel is older, but well taken care of. The best value for the area! The room was clean and quiet. It had a hot shower, a good heater, good bed, supplied coffee, and a TV. Probably, the only negative, the towels and bedding had been cleaned so many times, they were rough and needed to be replaced. Other than that, I would definitely go back!

• Dillan (4/5): - They were accommodating but I booked a smoking room and it's all non-smoking which was an inconvenience. The bathroom light kept flickering on and off. I never got the wifi password the whole time I was there which effected a few things. It was clean and quiet which was very nice.
