- Roberto Curro' (8/5): -
- Jonnie Krig (10/5): Good value - Pool and location Lack of equipment in room for example water cooker
- Robert (1/5): Stranger in the night. - That they didn't manage to steal anything. I never wrote bad reviews, but:
At 2am we woke up to find a young male had entered the room from the (faulty lock) communal balcony door. He fled when we sat up and disappeared through one of the rooms further along the balcony. This is the top floor. Impossible to climb up from outside.
From the behaviour and appearance of the desk staff in the morning it was clear they already knew about it and that it was one of them. My wife was able to identify which one.
Fortunately nothing stolen as we disturbed the intruder when he was half way across the room.
- Paul (10/5): -
- SITHA (7/5): -
- Shaw (1/5): Damien Shaw and family travels - Close to river for restaurants. tInternet not working.TV not working.Water in qash basin a drop or two and the shower no pressure of water and no hot water. The whole place badly maintain.Owner not care.Have stayed twice before, never stay there again.Cheap yes thats what it is cheap .Backpackers would be better.
- Yates (9/5): - No plug in sink
Not much soap
- phon (6/5): I have a family trip and good stay - Cleaning room, have pool, and in the central location Property is unsafe: door key, window are old and unsafe
- Keith (3/5): -
- Jonnie Krig (7/5): - Location and pool Could be clenner and had some water boiler and stuff in the room
- Wayne (8/5): -
- Wayne (8/5): -
- Mark (2/5): Stayed 9 nights - Good location Run down , dirty and disrepair, needs money and time spent if they want to carry on trading.
- sven (5/5): -
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Louise (6/5): - Room was very basic which would be fine but it was unclean both in the bathroom and in the bedroom. Writing on the walls just not looked after. Would not return here.
- Alain (4/5): Don't go - Is important, I know I pay around 22$ for one night
I know is cheap price, but I sleep many time another place fore the same price and trust me is better all
The Right place for disgusting hotel is 8$, for 8 ou receive 8$
Ennyway, is really the last time
- Richard (4/5): Disappointing - Good location.. Pay for what you get. Nice pool No water provided, the walls are dirty, Mattress very hard. I have stayed before, and it has declined.
- Vong (1/5): Bad -
- Joziena (5/5): ONLY BOOKED FOR POOL, BUT AVOID NOW - Location
Pool We stayed 4 nights, 2 rooms, they did not clean during outer stay
No water given in rooms
Dirty
Bathroom stank
Linen threadbare
- Gerald (8/5): Casual, cheap, basic ok hotel in good location - Cute casual guest house, bed ok,
Nice pool right outside door
Great location
Good price Very noisy guests shouting and splashing in the pool late into the night/ morning.
No fridge
No plug in the washbasin
Poor toiletries, only very small cheap bar of soap
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Ward (3/5): It has a great location - It has a great location. It has a great location
- Barlow (7/5): Good -
- Sareth (5/5): Passable -
- Shaw (9/5): Superb -
- Isaac (4/5): - The terrace roof of the building is their place to hang cloths and accumulate construction debris and garbage. Staff sleeping in the darkened lobby at night on a bench is not a good look. Owner should be more aware of standards and upgrade what could potentially be a better place.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Per (5/5): Passable -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Great little hotel in the center of Kampot - Great little hotel in the center of Kampot. Close to the restaurants and bars. Tidy, with a nice swimmable pool and very friendly and accomodating staff
- Nesrine (3/5): Poor - Good location Very loud. Been woken twice at 5a.m by children in the pool.
Plumbing not great, the room smelled bad
- Ian (3/5): Would not be in a hurry to stay there again - Pool was clean Tv not working and đ ants in room
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Jennie (2/5): - Our room was dirty, black mold, dirty sheets, hair all over the bathroom and used soap. no plugs aside from the outlet the tv was plugged into. Bed had a huge sunken part. Noisy, people slamming doors and moving furniture around. Pool was unusable. We tried to talk to the manager but he was never around. Sent messages through the app, but no reply. Contacted Expedia, and they attempted to contact multiple times with no response. We were suppose to stay 3 nights, we left after 1.
- Grifen (4/5): i think there would be better available in the area - pool.hot showers no tv
no fridge in room
- John (8/5): Great Little Hotel - Great tidy hotel near the better eateies with a nice pool.
- john (2/5): The worst room for the best sleep - Pros: Bed was amazingly comfortable.
cons: window frames were broken or missing, aircon barely worked and had toile paper stuffed in it to keep it open, the toilet seat lived on the floor in the corner, the bathroom was about as clean as a $2 hooker, the tv lived at a 40° angle, the wall light above the bed was hanging off and flickered constantly, there was lord knows what fluids staining the walls and the supplied toiletries were invisible. oh and we had tea cups but no kettle or tea making things, which was fairly bizzare. the halls were constantly dark and the pool bottom was littered with rotten leaves. i can honestly say we have stayed in lower cost places that have been far superior⌠this includes tents. definitely wonât be returning and definitely wouldnât recommend it.
- petra (6/5): - Cheap so that was good but a bit run down. Pool was okay. Area full of sex tourists with the possibility of some at the hotel.
- Nigel (8/5): Great value for a central location. - Room very good on second floor, number 17 if I remember correctly. Other rooms not so good, I think only 3 have been redecorated.
- David (8/5): Simple stay. - Location is excellent.
For the price you pay it is acceptable but very simple. You get what you pay for and I would return.
- RONALD (8/5): I wish I could give them more. - The place looks ok, but they need to be clean.
- Bruce (6/5): One ac stopped working but they were quick to move me - Location Needs a little TLC
- Kevin (10/5): Great hotel - Great hotel and great location. Great staff, very friendly.
- Sebastien (5/5): Well placed and awesome staff but some cons leads to consider another place for a next stay - The pool and the helpful staff Red ants in the bed of one room
No place to gather
Poor wifi and weak aircon. Used outlets do not deliver proper elec which is annoying to charge.
- Evie (1/5): disappointed - the pool was alright filled with people chain-smoking around the pool and when we got to the room there was ants everywhere, the air con was sellotaped togther and didnât work and there was black mould and holes everywhere in the bathroom.
- Matt (7/5): Good - Good location. Little run down for the price.
- Eric (8/5): I was happy - Location is great Reception good be better
- Gary (8/5): A very good choice for KampotâŚcanât beat the location and value for money - The location was the best thing. Right in the Centre of townâŚnot many hotels are as close as Vibola.
WiFi is very good and the room and bathroom are a good size.
And of course it has a swimming pool.
Thereâs a BBQ restaurant 2 doors down and a minimart next door. The only thing was the water pressure for the shower, would have liked it a bit stronger.
- Michael (7/5): Good - No fridge. Would pay extra for a small bar fridge
- Jana (6/5): Pleasant - Very good location close to town centre. Simple acomodation for short stay. I really missed hot water can for tea or coffee in the room. The windows need transparent courtain also, otherwise you have no privacy durign day, you only can close curtain and then it is completely dark in the room during the day.
The staf not speak English. No services available. But you can book next door bus, rent motorbike, loundry....
- Tiny (1/5): Bad - They overbooked. The room I booked for 5 nights was given to someone else by the time we got there and the owner or manager whom we talked to tried to give us a room without balcony with balcony price saying they are all same price, which is not true at all . The room we booked with balcony was 110 Dollard and the one without is 90 dollars.
- Gary (7/5): Good - Lack of working power points
- Nigel (7/5): Good budget Hotel, but some of the downstairs rooms a little tired. -
- Mark (7/5): comfortable for a short stay with a nice pool to cool down after a day in the sun - nice pool, very comfortable big bed, good location by the riverside, plumbing wasnât great, was permanently standing water in the bathroom hours after taking a shower
- Prathamesh (6/5): Pleasant -
- Martin (7/5): Good -
- Alex (6/5): - In a good location. Rooms could have been a bit cleaner. The hotel felt safe. The toilet and sink did leak, but only when you used them, had to be careful not to get wet socks when washing your hands. Overall, perfectly fine for travellers and would recommend to someone going to Kampot.
- Martin (6/5): Pleasant - Good location That was not very helpful probably because they can't speak at English and the cleaners were very good working with some outer dated rooms
- Eva (7/5): Good value spot - Good location in a quiet, relaxed area. Room was clean. Bike rental available next door. Swimming pool was clean. Staff were friendly but didnât have much English. Good value for money all in all. No wifi in our bedroom. Shower didnât work when it was on the wall as the water pressure was so low. Lobby area and bathroom could do with some work
- Anonymous (9/5): great hotel. quiet and close to everything - location, pool
- Sander (6/5): Pleasant -
- Grueger (7/5): Good - The pool and the location are good for the room price. The toilet smells bad, the smell either came from the loo or the sewage.
- Peter (4/5): You can do better in the same neighborhood; just look around. - There was no breakfast Although my specific room was clean, the bathroom was not and the hallways leading upstairs and around my room were filthy. In addition to that, the public area around the swimming pool looked unkempt, probably because there is a lot of long-term stays in those particular rooms. There are a lot of other hotels in the neighborhood that have rooms that are less expensive and just as good if not Superior to the one I stayed in.
- Frances (9/5): Poolside in town - Lovely soft memory foam mattress. Some English films on TV. Great pool ,good location. We had a very comfortable stay. The walls in the bathroom could be cleaned.
- Tanya (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jens (9/5): Superb -
- Jean-hugues (8/5): Very good - GrÊât location and Nice room with balcony Staff barely speaks english but Nice anyway..
- Waldemar (3/5): Poor - No clean room I Pay for room in hotel and l Pay for booking.com so l Pay duble many l lost many hotel dont want Givenchy many back
- Barbara (5/5): Nice. More maintenance needed in all areas. -
- Barbara (5/5): Passable -
- James (7/5): Good - Location and clean Few minor maintenance issues
- James (8/5): Great place - Lovely place room and pool really central No fridge or safe in the room
- Diane (1/5): Should be called The Ebola rather than Vibola - Nothing GUESTHOUSE WAS DIRTY
MOULD IN MOST ROOMS
STRONG URINE SMELL EVERY WHERE
NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE
CHANGES OWN TOWELS AND SWEPT OWN ROOM
POOR TV RECEPTION
FRIDGE IN LOBBY LOCKED AT NIGHT TO PREVENT GUESTS ACCESSING WATER
NO JUG IN THE ROOM
- Tracey (2/5): - Dirty, no toilet seat, shower doesnât work, full of black mould, holes in wall, bathroom floods. Whole hotel smells of sewerage. Staff are interested in cleaning. Rubbish piles up. Expedia should not list this place.
- Kimsrean (7/5): Good - Good location Not clean
- Richard (7/5): Was a good place very near the centre of town had a pool and was a good place to stay for the money - The place was satisfactory i did have a problem opening my door but the staff called a lock smith out and was fixed in no time.
It would have been better if there was a kettle and your own fridge although the did have a communal fridge at reception Kettle
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart and Emma (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Cheap but tired (staff the same). Perfectly adequate if you just want a cheap place to stay and are relaxed about cleanliness and staff responsiveness to blown lightbulbs etc.
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqui (1/5): Good location, but would definitely never recommend or stay here again. Management lazy and unhelpful. - Not much to like. The whole room was disgusting, dead insects all stuck on the walls, mould and hair left over in the bathroom, shower floods the whole bathroom. Ants crawling all over the bed and infested in the walls of the shower.
- George (6/5): Pleasant - staff Leak in bathroom had drips on my head
- Brian (2/5): ordinary - location everything in room not working properly
- Karl (2/5): Just not good - Before corona ok. But now never again.
- P (10/5): Great hotel with nice pool. - I ended up staying here 5 nights and it was perfect and clean. I enjoyed the pool every day. Swim at 12 when sun is out! I had a nice Belcony, a nice clean room, a hot shower and the location is perfect. They clean your room daily if needed and supply 2 bottles of water a day. Next time in Kampot I'll be back here!
- Allan (4/5): lackinig in maintenace/nedding an update - the room was ok but they are lacking maintenace. we had no water pressure on shower for 2 different days and none on the basin all days.the sheets had holes in them every set. the recemption guy was working 24 hours a day so he was sleeping at night with all room keys left on bench so take your key. every day i had to ask for soap and water. no safe, no kettle, no mini fridge. the pool was dirty although it was swimable. just needs an update and i understand its hard as there is no tourists therefore no customers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was fine. I wasn't expecting much because I was because I was out most of the time. For me it was enough because all I needed was a bed and a shower. It doesn't come with breakfast, but there are places nearby. Bring your own shampoo because they didn't give out shampoos.
They do have an electric kettle on demand if you need it. It has basic items which I needed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Took them 3 days to clean all what looked like cement out of the bottom of the pool, they had to wait for a new hose. But still took 2 more days to clean.only reason I booked hotel was for pool
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, very comfortable, but no balcony switch would be n
- Mathias (10/5): Perfect, in the heart of the city center - Perfect location in the heart of the city center. Bakeries, bars and restaurant close by. Possibility to rent motorbike, book tours and buses at the reception.
- Anthony (6/5): Fawlty Towers comes to Cambodia - Bit like the fawlty towers of Cambodia. The new manager is very efficient and friendly .so,etimes when you asked the others for something it was like you were inconveniencing them. The pools ok but n a central area near the rooms, which makes it very noisy. Many children and groups added to the noise. Also had beer stolen from the communal fridge which is locked at 10pm. Had to wake night receptionist to open fridge and let people in one night as they shut the gates about 11 am. Not a really good place for solo travellers. More a family orientated guest house where you get the feeling you have tofit in with the management / family rules and schedules. They need to remember that we are the customers . Not them. Thatâs why Iâve likened it to Fawlty Towers .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, nice pool, good air conditioning, good rooms
- Josh (10/5): - Really liked this hotel great location nice staff well priced hire scooters great price very easy loved kampot
- Chris (8/5): Weekend in Kampot - Nice rooms and staff. Good location and prices.
- freddy (8/5): worth to stay - great location, walking distance to town, river and restaurant. its hard to get at this rate having swimming pool. nice staff.
clean but simple, no fridge no safety box no food no lift
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff were ok, pleasant enough. The room was nice and clean, bathroom was ok but luke warm water for shower. Swimming pool was shaded almost all day.
- Michael (6/5): Not what is was, disappointed - Gone down hill , didnt give room l booked, room not cleaned 3 days l was there, pool has slime around bottom, rarely cleaned by look of it. Cold shower, Better rooms available around town.
