Restaurant staff need to pay more attention to customers than their phones

• TRAVEL OFFICE (6/5): - la posizione in mezzo alla giungla è interessante (per chi ama i piccoli animali che vengono a trovarti durante la notte... nella mia stanza c'erano gecki grandi come iguane... bellissimi ma... non tutti li amano. la struttura sarebbe anche bella ma è tenuta malissimo, ci sono delle zone in ristrutturazione, non quella in cui ero alloggiato io. • Chen (1/5): היינו שם 20 דק׳ וברחנו. לא ממליצים - לא אהבנו כלום, הגענו למקום הזדעזנו מהחדרים, מהלכלוך, מהבריכה ומכל האווירה המיושנת והנטושה. סגרנו מלון אחר מהרגע להרגע וברחנו משם המקום מתפרק, מיושן ונטוש. הבריכה מטונפת, השבילים מעץ ישן עם מסמרים בחוץ, החדרים קטנים ובלי אבזור בסיסי, חוץ ממזרון על הרצפה אין כלום והכול מלא בנמלים. אין פינת ישיבה מחוץ לחדר ואפילו לא כיסא בחדר, כל המלון נראה מאוד ישן ולא מתחוזק. ברחנו משם

• Juliana (5/5): Muy incómoda e insatisfecha para nuestras vacaciones queríamos irnos de koh kood rápido - La calidez humana del personal fue lo mejor de la experiencia. Siempre fueron amables, atentos y con verdadera disposición para ayudar, lo que hizo la estancia más llevadera. Se nota que es un equipo humano que se esfuerza y que quiere hacer bien su trabajo. También valoramos el apoyo que nos dieron con el secado de la ropa y que el desayuno estaba bien. El hotel tiene muchas cabañas, buen entorno natural y un gran potencial para ofrecer una experiencia mucho mejor con algunas mejoras. La limpieza y el mantenimiento de la habitación no estuvieron a la altura del precio era bastante incómodo la suciedad. Desde el primer día se notaba polvo, telarañas, espejos sucios y una mosquitera rota. El baño tenía una fuga de agua que hacía ruido durante la noche. La limpieza diaria fue insuficiente: no se cambiaban toallas ni se reponían jabones si no los pedíamos, y las sábanas solo se cambiaron tras varios días y a solicitud nuestra. En general, la habitación necesitaba una limpieza profunda y mejor control del servicio, algo que nunca nos había ocurrido en otros hoteles de Tailandia.

Vi betalte for 3 netter, men drog etter første natta Ingen stoler ei heller bord i "hytta" Aircondition virket ikke, vi lå å svett hele natta. Sov elendig
• Nathua (4/5): The photos look much better than in person - Surrounding forest back drop We specifically booked this hotel for the pool and once in person, we quickly realized the photos don’t live up to the reality of this place. The pool was green for the first 3 days and then became less green. Seems there may have been an issue with the pool but this was never communicated in check in and we never ended up using the pool. There’s a lot of trash lying around the property. The vegetation around the bungalows no longer looks like in the photos. There is some stagnant water in some areas which of course create mosquito opportunities. Staff were friendly to interact with but felt a lot of time they were sitting around on their phone when they could’ve been cleaning up trash between the bungalows or landscaping to make all the dead palms and vegetation make the place look better. Also the WiFi at our bungalow did not work the entire time we were there.
• Rob (1/5): Staff stole deposit and got caught out - It has potential, with a little money spent on it. I liked the little pods/cabins , they lack seating It has horrifically dirty. The staff are dishonest and the breakfast was not fresh, or covered from the hundreds of flys and bugs The man in the picture stole my deposit on the motorbike, when I signed the paperwork, he printed 2 copies, he manually wrote 300 +300 on 1 , then just 300 on the 1 I had signed. Then made out we never paid a deposit. Luckily for us, on the counter was someone else paperwork, exactly the same 2 copies , we picked it up and showed him the 300+300 he quickly tried to snatch it back, we said dont worry we will leave a review and tell everyone you are a thief. We quickly apologised and tried to return the 300. This is clearly a practice they do alot, as they make everyone sign the paperwork that only has 300 wrote on. The place was absolutely disgustingly dirty as well, not once was the eating place cleaned in the 4 days we were there, Such a real shame as the place could be great, the rest of the staff were very friendly and nice. The breakfast was pretty bad, food not covered , must have been at least 100 fly's all over the food every morning. So I just had fresh toast.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - ที่พักราคาคืนละ2500บาท พัก2คืนแต่ไม่มีผ้าเช็ตตัวใหม่ให้ ไปขอเพื่มก็บอกไม่พอให้ ทั้งๆที่ขอแค่4ผืนสำหรับ2ห้อง ที่พักไม่มีไดร์เป่าผม ไม่มีตู้เย็น ไม่มีทีวี พอเข้าใจได้ ไม่มีที่แขวนเสื้อผ้า แต่มีไม้แขวน คืองง ในห้องน้ำก็ไม่มีที่วางของ ที่แขวนผ้าเช็ดตัวอยู่ตรงข้ามกับฝักบัว เปิดใช้ทีก็เปียกหมด อีกอย่างนึงที่ไม่ชอบคือ ผ้าม่านไม่มีความมิดชิดเลย ผ้าม่านสองชั้นสีขาว สั้นเกินไปสำหรับราว ดึงมาปิดฝั่งนี้ ฝั่งนั้นโผล่ ดึงไปมาโผล่2ฝั้ง ไม่มีความเป็นส่วนตัว ออกจากห้องน้ำมาต้องระแวงว่ามีใครคอยมองรึเปล่า ถ้าเดินผ่านคือมองเห็นรอดผ้าม่านมาได้เลย มีตู้ใส่ของที่มีที่ห่วงให้ล็อก แต่ไม่มีกุญแจให้ใช้ ถ้าใช้กุญแจล็อกห้องมาล็อกตู้ก็จะไม่มีกุญแจใช้ล็อกห้อง อาหารอร่อย พนักงานทั่วไปพูดจาดี อัธยาศัยดี แต่ผู้จัดการ...ไม่ขอพูดถึง
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Location molto carina ma è la sola cosa positiva. Le camere puzzano di muffa e sono così piccole che in due persone bisogna organizzarsi per muoversi. Non c'è spazio per le valige, non un armadio non una sedia. All'esterno del bungalow si possono appendere i vestiti che di notte si bagnano completamente! Il bagno ha un lavandino in legno microscopico e facendo la doccia si allaga tutto e, dato che la pavimentazione è in legno, non si asciuga mai. La colazione è assolutamente insoddisfacente. Rapporto qualità prezzo pessimo. Sconsigliato

• Verified traveler (8/5): Minimalistisch eingerichtet, schöne Lage - Außer Matratze und kleiner Box (die als Safe genützt wird) ist nichts im Zimmer. AirCon hilft, sich von der schwülen Umgebung abkühlen zu können. Restaurant bietet Thai Speisen an, alle seeehr gut! Etwas teurer als lokale Restaurants, aber wenn es regnet und man nicht mit dem Moped wegfahren möchte, ist man in guten Händen. Das Badezimmer ist auch sehr minimalistisch, sehr typisch für Thailand eingerichtet: Dusche ist nicht abgegrenzt durch Glas oder Wand. So könnten Haken an der Wand anbringen, dass man wenigstens etwas Kleidung dort aufhängen könnte. Zwei, drei Kleiderbügel fürs Trocken sind vorhanden.
• Joel (10/5): Right next to waterfall in the peace of jungle - Lovely place and people! You see lot of animals, spiders and lizards, but that's ok 'cause you're middle of the untouched jungle! You can easily walk to klong chao beach, klong chao waterfall or island "center". One of most relaxing places I've ever been!

• Felicitas (6/5): Sadly sub-par hospitality, otherwise cute - This place could be a real gem if they made even the slightest effort. The grounds are gorgeous, secluded and quiet if not near the beach. But on koh Kood one needs a bike anyway so it doesn't matter. The rooms are tiny but cute, comfortable bed and bedding. With 2 extra square meters they could be great, like this they are overpriced. Main problem was the staff. Some were friendly but don't speak any English and obviously aren't allowed to decide anything. the only one who does is the manager and he was absolutely unhelpful and downright rude. I felt treated like a nuisance not a guest. Shame, this could be great

• CELINE (4/5): Attention arnaque. Mauvais Rapport qualité/prix - les chambres ne correspondent pas du tout à la description faite sur le site. Elles font à peine 9m2, ne disposent de rien pour poser les vêtements, n'ont pas de lavabo pour se brosser les dents et les rideaux laissent passer tous le jour et la chaleur. la climatisation ne fonctionne que de nuit et l'hôtelier nous réveille tous les matins avant 8h pour venir la couper pour la journée. Cet hôtel ne correspond pas aux standards thaïlandais et constitue un très mauvais rapport qualité prix. Pour information, tous les clients rencontrés pendant notre séjour avaient essayé de l'annuler à leur arrivée.
• Michael (10/5): Value in the Jungle - The staff was friendly and super helpful! The place is new and clean, and overall really nice. The location is a bit away from the beach but if you rent a scooter it's a 5 minute ride away. The staff was very helpful and gave great advice. The room was small but comfortable, next time I would probably choose the larger sized room for a few extra bucks. Another thing to be aware of if the AC is only allowed to be turned on from 6:00 pm to 8:00am but this wasn't much of a problem because most of the time you will be out anyway. Good value, and nice pool and breakfast.
• Matilda (8/5): Fräscht - Prisvärt, nybyggt ställe med massa små bungalows/stugor upphöjda en dryg meter över marken. Fin pool! ligger närmare stranden än man tror & finns cykel och moppe att hyra :) Pyttelitet rum dock.
• adam (6/5): Meh - Bungalow literally could not be smaller. No space to unpack or any type of furniture. No sink in bathroom. Smells from wet ground under bathroom come up through the loosely spaced floorboards and stink up the room. Breakfast pretty weak but typical for thailand. Grounds, pool area and restaurant are pretty nice. Will look even better when all the landscaping is done- several guys were gardening every day. Motorbike we rented was brand new and reasonably priced. Staff said speedboats off the island weren't running on the day we planned to leave (too stormy) so we booked an extra couple nights. Went to the beach and saw the speedboats leaving that afternoon. Pretty messed up. Couple days later, staff at jungle resort managed to have our speedboat reservation (we booked online) cancelled due to overbooking, and no choice but to book through the front desk (seats on boat were magically available again). Very questionable business practice. Don't miss Koh Kood, it's amazing. Just skip the jungle resort.
