• ghumakkadpyar (10/5): They found my lost gold chain!! - We were returning from a wedding and stayed here for a day with our infant and parents. The location is very beautiful, with a view of Fatehsagar Lake. The rooms are not very big but are comfortable. The staff is very helpful and cordial. All the restaurants offer great food, especially Urban Tadka if you are travelling with family. Apart from all the good things about the hotel, what truly stood out was how the staff took responsibility for everything within the hotel premises. On the morning of the day we were supposed to leave, I realised that my gold chain was missing. I remembered wearing it the previous night during dinner and immediately informed the hotel staff. It was 7 a.m., and we were scheduled to leave at 10:30. Sameer and the entire staff left no stone unturned to find my chain, especially since I hadn’t stepped out of the hotel even for a minute. Thankfully, they found it before we left. I am extremely grateful to everyone involved, as the chain was given to me by my mother and holds great sentimental value. We will never forget our stay here and will definitely come back again.

• kalvindert2021 (2/5): Drunken guests allowed to continue causing serious disruption throughout the night - I stayed at Lakend for 2 nights in March 2026 with 2 friends. We occupied 2 rooms and on our second night, the guests in the room next to us played extremely loud music way past midnight. A call to reception made no difference. This was followed by relentless loud, argumentative and aggressive behaviour, which reception staff told us in the morning, was due to the guests being drunk and unruly. The continuous shouting and raised voices made us feel unsafe and scared. Three further phone calls to reception failed to stop the noise and disruption. We had an early flight the next day and the disappointing fact is that the hotel management or security were unable to control the situation. We felt unsafe and scared and had no sleep that night. On one of my calls around 3 o'clock in the morning, we were asked if we wanted to change rooms. Given that we had to be up 2 hours later, we refused. But as far as the hotel is concerned their response to my complaint is that they did their utmost to help. They repeatedly asked the noisy guests to stop but this was ignored every time. It is disappointing that they had no power to take immediate and appropriate action to cause the least disruption to their other paying guests. Although the hotel itself was in a beautiful setting and our first night was without incident, their failure to take responsibility and act accordingly during the second night gives me no confidence for any future visits. I would therefore not consider staying at this hotel again.

• deepaks85 (2/5): Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Hygiene & Not Worth the Price - We booked a 2-night stay in an Executive Room (INR 25,231 with breakfast), but the experience was far below expectations and not even at a basic 3-star standard. The room initially allocated to us was poorly maintained. The bathroom was in an unacceptable condition, with visible mould buildup, grime in corners, and clear signs of poor upkeep. This did not appear to be a one-time cleaning issue but rather a lack of proper maintenance. It was completely unacceptable at this price point. After raising the issue at reception, we were offered an alternative room, but it was significantly smaller and we were asked to shift again the next day. This is highly inconvenient and not what one expects during a vacation. We clearly requested either a room of the same category we paid for or a refund of the booking amount so that we could move to another hotel, but this was not addressed. The lack of resolution and accountability is disappointing. We chose this hotel based on its reputation and past experiences, but this stay has been a serious letdown. While the location is excellent, the room quality, hygiene, and maintenance do not justify the pricing. Strongly recommend management addresses basic cleanliness and maintenance standards. Until then, not recommended.

• smeetr2026 (2/5): A 4.5-Star Facade Hiding 1-Star Operational Incompetence - If you are considering staying at the Lakend Hotel, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This property claims to be a 4.5-star hotel, but based on the sheer operational incompetence my family and I experienced, it deserves to be stripped down to a 1-star rating. They simply do not know how to run a decent hotel. ​From the moment we arrived, it was glaringly obvious that the staff were entirely unprepared for guests. Basic communication and service are non-existent. We had to call the front desk multiple times just to get something as simple as bottled water delivered to our room. We also had to make repeated requests just to get someone to check if our room fridge was actually working. ​However, the absolute worst part of our stay was the complete fiasco surrounding the pool. We were informed that their pool was out of order, which is disappointing but things happen. They offered to transfer us to a partner hotel to use their pool instead. After breakfast, we told the staff we were ready to go and were explicitly told a transfer cab would be ready in 20 minutes. We came down from our room right on time, only to discover absolutely nothing had been booked. We had to stand around waiting while the staff scrambled to finally call a cab. ​The return trip was an absolute nightmare. We were instructed to call the hotel staff when we finished swimming so they could dispatch a return cab. We called them FIVE times. We ended up waiting for nearly two hours. Every single time we called, the staff just offered empty apologies and falsely promised that the cab was "on the way." ​To add insult to injury, another group that requested a cab after us was picked up first. We were left stranded with my wife and our 4-year-old son, receiving nothing but a phone call telling us yet another cab was coming and to "keep waiting." Leaving a family stranded for hours while prioritizing other guests is beyond poor customer service; it is blatant disrespect. ​Save your money and your peace of mind. Do not stay here.

We originally wanted a lake view room but it was unavailable when we checked in. She made sure to arrange a lake view room for us the very next day (with upgrade charges) and ensured we got one of the best rooms. Initially, we were considering a few other hotels, but the welcoming nature and behavior of the staff is what made us choose The Lakend — and we are so glad we did. We dinned at THE URBAN TADKA and the food was to die for !!! The non veg platter was excellent and cooked to perfection and the veg platter was delicious. Mr Manish was so sweet and helpful, he made sure everything was perfect on the table and even surprised us with the beat moong daal halwa ever !
• Robohas (10/5): Spectacular views from a comfortable hotel. - Very nice hotel with stunning (apparently the best views) of Lake Fateh Sagar. The rooms are comfortable with most amenities. Our room had the added advantage of a private balcony which was lovely to sit on early morning to take in the views. The food at the hotel is good with a choice of restaurants. We are in the Bougainville terrace which is a roof top bar again with fabulous views. Breakfast is mainly Indian but has an egg station and pastries etc. The staff in breakfast were attentive and efficient. Special mentions go to Krishqn Amelia Suresh House keeping were also very helpful with special mention to Dhapo Akul. On arrival we had a nice greeting by reception staff but after that we found them to be most unhelpful. We asked for things to be sent to the room which were missing and they never arrived. We asked if they would book a table for us at a particular restaurant 1 night and they refused. Even something as simple as changing a large note into smaller currency they refused to do. This was a-shame as a hotel of this calibre should be able to do these simple things without question. Overall though I would recommend the hotel for a comfortable and pleasurable stay.
• 500laurienw (10/5): Peaceful stay in Udaipur - We had a wonderful stay at the Lakend Hotel in Udaipur. It is beautifully located on the edge of the Fatih Sagar lake, very peaceful. One can really relax here after a busy sightseeing day with a drink under the frangipani trees. Or enjoy a lovely Indian meal at Urban Tadka restaurant. We appreciated especially the dedicated services of Manish and Suresh.

The staff over here is also so polite & cooperative. I don't remember most of the names, but few which I remember are Ms. Taruna, Ms. Remy, Ms. Emilia & Mr. Suresh are truly an amazing persons. I recommend that once in your life. You should visit "Hotel Lakend". If you are planning to visit Udaipur. I will give 100/100. Perfect property for perfect memories 👌 ❤️
• matthias_adams (10/5): Very nice hotel with perfect lakeview - We spent two nights in the beautiful Gogunda Suite with lakeview. It is incredible to sit on the balcony and to experience sunset with a view on the lake. Even the restaurant provides delicious food, both breakfast and dinner. The staff is very commited and polite, in particular Sameer and Kishan. I‘m sure, we‘ll return.
