• Matthew (10/5): Great stay and excellent location in Catania - Large, clean, and comfortable room in perfect location near the Duomo. Very quiet. Room opens onto a large, shared balcony overlooking the cathedral dome and the clock tower. Breakfast was excellent and served on the balcony. Antonella, the host, even served her wonderful, homemade lemon cake. She also went above and beyond, calling a taxi to fetch us when we got lost outside the city. Note: don't be put off by the street graffiti, it is typical all over Catania. Leaving luggage for later pickup after checkout may not be available.

• Márta (10/5): Charming accomodation in the heart of Catania ❤️ - I spent seven nights here, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Antonella and Alex were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Every morning, Antonella served a delicious breakfast and coffee on the charming, atmospheric balcony, and she also recommended great local programs and places to explore nearby. I truly felt that she cared about my experience, while still giving me plenty of space and privacy. The accommodation struck a perfect balance between the comfort of a hotel and the warmth of a local stay. ❤️ A kettle would be great in the room in my opinion, but everything else is really great!

The property is in a great location right around the corner from restaurants, but it was quiet during the night. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. An excellent breakfast is served on the terrace with a pretty view. I would definitely stay at Casa Provenza again.

Besonders hervorzuheben sind für mich die Gastgeber: Aufmerksam, Professional und sehr zuvorkommend. Die beiden sind wirklich mit dem Herzen dabei und möchten, dass der Gast sich wohlfühlt. And then there's Antonella. What a lovely host! She greets you, walls you through everything, and is always cheery and helpful.

Há um aviso no booking, mas não estava em destaque, então não sabia e achei que vale a pena destacar isso aqui nos comentários. No meu caso, me programei para chegar antes, mas o trem atrasou. Eles falaram que se eu tivesse avisado antes sobre o problema, que teriam liberado a taxa, mas eu nem sabia que tinha a taxa, pois não tinha lido isso e nunca tinha visto um lugar cobrar por isso. • Elena (10/5): Herzliche Gastgeber einer tollen Unterkunft - Die Gastgeber haben mich sehr freundlich empfangen und mich gut in alle Gegebenheiten eingewiesen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Vorhanden war nicht nur die Grundausstattung, sondern zusätzlich Utensilien für das Bad, ein Regal mit Büchern in unterschiedlichen Sprachen, Souvenirs, die man erwerben kann und eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und standen mir immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Alles in allem habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Also, the location is great, very centrally located with lots of amenities nearby. Also, their terrace is beautiful, a great place to sit and reflect on the gorgeous city! Just a small warning for anyone staying in the Margherita Room - the room overall is incredibly spacious, but the shower is tiny! I'm 5'2" and had a difficult time maneuvering in the shower, so if you're taller... best of luck to you! Also, only the most basic toiletries are provided in the room, so if you're traveling light with a limited amount of supplies, just know that you might have to run out and purchase some things!

• Navigate24699803156 (10/5): Great place to stay! - My husband and I stayed here in May of 2025 and would heartily recommend it to any travelers. The location was superb, convenient to the duomo, piazzas, and restaurants. An elevator took us to the 4th (US 5th) floor location. Our room was meticulously clean, with a comfortable bed, en suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet. A delicious breakfast was cooked and served daily on a balcony with a view of Mt. Etna. Best of all, our hosts, Antonella and Alex, were so very informative and welcoming! They communicated promptly with us via email and WhatsApp regarding the booking details. They gave us excellent recommendations for dining and where to do laundry. Because it was raining, Alex even offered to take our laundry to the laundromat and do it for us (we didn’t accept), and they gave us plastic bags so that the clean laundry would remain dry on the way back. Catania is a beautiful city, and we would strongly recommend the Casa Provenza to any travelers who want to stay there.

A little difficult to find the entrance, being that it is in a very unassuming building with a high security gate down a back street.

The breakfast was great as well. Amazing views from the terrace of the basilica to the south and Mt. Etna to the north. We even saw the peak of Mama Etna burning bright red on our final night there! Alex and Antonella, your hosts at Casa Provenza, are also absolutely delightful people. They were very helpful throughout our stay and a joy to chat with every morning. They lent us an umbrella when it was raining, they provided advice on where to get dinner/ go on tours. nothing, just to know, the elevator is small on the way up

The decor was a little quirky in our room but was charming. Talking of charm, our hosts were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and they did everything to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast on the terrace was also very good and a lovely experience, with a stunning view toward the local church.
• Ron (10/5): - This was our first B&B style accommodation so we were a little apprehensive but the reviews were awesome and whey were RIGHT ON. Antonella and Alex made you feel like you had known them for years. Room was immaculate. Antonella's home cooked breakfast was the best. Location was a couple of blocks from the main city square with lot of great restaurants to chose from. If you travel to Catania this is the place to stay. TKS Angela and Ron
• Gerard (10/5): - Brilliant.antonella was so good. In the city centre so can be a little noisy. Suited me perfect as i wear hearing aids so when they are out can't hear a thing though my wife can.

• Nansi (10/5): Best stay of my three weeks traveling Italy. - I couldn’t have asked for better hosts (Antonella and Alex) and room. I felt at home. The location was perfect. 7 min walk to the main bus station. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Great bathroom. The mattress and pillows gave me great sleeps. The hosts anticipate your every need and become familiar with your routine. I decided to extend my stay for a few more nights and make Catania my base because I was so comfortable and happy there. Antonella, was so lovely to chat with every morning over breakfast in my outdoor nook. Breakfast options were plenty. I will miss this place. Hope to be back again and stay at Provenza again. I will miss Antonella and Alex.

• Laurie (10/5): Don't miss the opportunity to stay here. A very clean, nicely decortated room in a lively area with - the breakfast was plentiful and the little balcony space was nicely appointed. Antonella was so caring. I wasn't feeling well and she gave me something to ease my discomfort. Both she and Alex were exceptional hosts. it was perfect in every way for us.

• Zhigang Andy (10/5): - Casa Provenza Rooms is a hidden jewel as a small property with only 5 rooms. I finally picked in my search for the previous reviews and its location right in the center of Catania, where you can stroll and walk to reach anywhere of interests within 30 min. The owner Antonella took great care of my stay with heart and offered many local and regional tourism advice. It is quiet and secure, just like a back alley place with 2 min to the main piazza nearby. It is 5 min walk to the Piazza Paolo Borsellino bus station if you do any excursion trips. I do plan to return to Catania in future and continue to explore other cities that I did not have time to do, but hopefully I can still book this property.

• Annette (10/5): Excellent accommodation in vibrant, historic centre of Catania. - Very friendly and informative hosts (Antonella & Alex), with excellent English. Very central location within the historic area - nearby to cathedral, university, fish market, restaurants, As a solo traveller I had a comfortable room with a single bed, lounge chair, well equipped bathroom. Everything very clean. Large terrace with individual table & chairs and clothes rack for each room/guest. Tourist info & small library. The key to the main door/grill of the building was tricky to get into the right position (to turn to unlock) at first.

Everything was wonderful and Antonella and Alex are just gorgeous, smiling, kind and responsive hosts. Gorgeous room, unique terrace with views and amenities, location in the heart of Catania, and the breakfast... Ah, the breakfast!!! We felt like we were at mom's - delicious, fresh and whenever we wanted it. Really, I couldn't be happier that we chose them and will choose them again when we visit Catania again. • Sonia Clarisa (10/5): An oasis filled with kind was - An oasis in the middle of a crazy jungle. If we could put more stars we would. We have never seen such a level of dedication and support like the one received by Antonella and Alex. When I read the reviews I thought it was perhaps because the other person connected with them and it felt not genuine but I must admit it is as they say in the reviews. They will treat you like family, or long time friends who show genuine happiness to treat you as their dear guest. The room we got was impecable and the bed as good as any 5 star hotel bed. The pillows were also comfortable. The room has access to a super lovely balcony with a view to a church, where you will get your breakfast served right outside your door. It felt like royal treatment. I forgot my shoes and little pillow and Antonella went to the piazza to deliver it to us, just so that we wouldn’t need to stress to go to the airport. If you happen to be in Catania and want to be treated with care, search no more. Parking is a big problem all over Catania. We parked at Piazza Borselino which is 5 min walk from the B&B. Beware of vandals, they are all around parking places and broke our car window.

Catania is undoubtely a place to visit in Sicily. Alex and Antonella were perfect hosts. Communication perfect. Availability 100% and very nice and professional people! The room was large and very calm with a direct door on the balcony for the breakfast. The breakfast on the terrace was amazing, calm and with very good and abundant food! Cleanless and services 10/10. We will surely come back to Casa Provenza in the next trip to Catania! nothing
