Yo había reservado una habitación para cuatro personas. Sin embargo, cuando llegue me dieron una habitación para tres personas y adecuaron una cama más, dejando poco espacio para movernos dentro. El baño olía a orina desde que entramos. Había que entrar descalzos a la zona de hospedaje. No nos informaron que había restricción para las mascotas en el comedor exterior. No hubo agua ni bebidas soft para acompañar la cena de fin de año. No tenían plancha de ropa.

El ambiente no es para nada cómodo; se siente una tensión constante y el servicio es bastante frío. Lo que más me decepcionó fue el tema 'petfriendly': se promocionan como un lugar abierto y acogedor, pero en la práctica tienen muchísimas restricciones innecesarias que te hacen sentir vigilado en lugar de bienvenido. No lo recomendaría si buscas libertad y un buen trato.

- Deepti (6/5): Would not recommend. Far nicer and better value for money elsewhere in Mindo - Last minute booking due to unexpected travel hiccough. The hostel accommodated me at late notice. Beautiful garden. Least friendly place I have stayed in in Ecuador. Dark rooms. Cramped. Very thin walls. Not particularly cosy or inviting in my opinion. Breakfast served by the road and not in the lovely garden. No hot water. Quite aggressive in their requests for silence and limited use of water. Very expensive comparable to much nicer accommodation at half the price. Had an issue with a refund from the owner and unfortunately it turned a bit sour in spite of their refund policy. Feels like money making takes precedence over customer service. Very petty behaviour which a bad taste in my mouth. Would not recommend for the above reasons.

- Susanne Claire Elizabeth Hustinx (10/5): A perfect stay, with a very kind Host. - Oswaldo, our Host who treated us with the upmost respect and hospitality, the sweet dog, the nature, the wooden aesthetic. It is really cozy and gives you a true exotic experience. It is important to treat house rules with respect to keep everything clean and nice. The small bar in the garden with pool & futball is really nice, aswell is the Jacuzzi, a true treat. Recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy the Ecuadorian rainforest all the way. Every moment spent without Oswaldo, or the dog! :) (in all seriousness nothing bad to say)

Jardín ordenado y lindo, la piscina es sobre todo para guaguas, pues es pequeña Elegí este lugar por “pet friendly” sin embargo, una política del lugar es que en el desayunador ( que tiene varias mesas en exteriores) no se nos permitió ubicar a mi mascota ( con collar y traílla) bajo nuestra mesa, aduciendo que puede molestar a otros huéspedes. Al viajar con menores y adultos mayores se hizo complicado el desayuno y fueron momentos bastante incómodos pues tuve que dejar a mi mascota atada afuera y llorando( lo que sin duda fue mucho más molestoso para los otros huéspedes). El personal, si bien es claro en las explicaciones, no brinda alternativas, tuve que insistir con varios temas, tuve que comunicarme con el número de contacto del hostal para hablar con la persona a cargo y me sugirió que desayunemos en la parte posterior donde sí podríamos desayunar junto a mi mascota pero el personal de green house no nos ofreció esta opción. En términos generales, un poco más de amabilidad y opciones y alternativas para las y los huéspedes les vendría muy bien.

- Aguirre (6/5): Couldn't sleep at night due to crawling sounds like a mouse in the floor. - It was a nice house from outside but inside the room are too small. The garden was nice, the swimming pool cold. The administrador was very unhelpful. I asked to change the room because we requested a 3 bed room and they only gave us with 2 beds and he said he didnt have anything else available. During the night there were noises in the room/ wall, it sounded like a mouse, due to the walking sounds and noises. My friend couldn't sleep and was so scared because she thought the mouse was climbing the bed. We told the administrador next day, he didnt hay anything. He made trouble with our parking space, didnt want to help us to put wife on the fridge. Anyway, very unhelpful. Everything was a problem for him.

- Angelika (4/5): Ok place but unfortunately unfriendly staff. - Good location as close to town. A little to close to the street for my taking. Nice manicured grounds with clean pool in backyard. Comfortable bed with small little private balcony. Our room was on 3.rd floor which was nice a quiet, but the bathroom was very small with sloped ceiling , so us being 5.7” tall had to bend down inside and not able to stand upright. Also the bathroom was very smelly with septic smell all the time. The staff also was very unfriendly and made us feel like an inconvenience all the time. Breakfast was ok, but being charged $2.50 per extra small cup of coffee I find is a rip-off . Would not come back here unfortunately

The pool, nestled among trees and greenery, is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The staff was always very friendly and attentive, making us feel at home. We’ll definitely be back!

On the other hand, you can't sleep because the walls between rooms are made of paper and you can hear everything from your neighbor. And if you get a room on the 3rd floor, you can't reach it standing up.

We arrived around midday, all the rooms were ready and no one else was at the hotel, yet we were only allowed to check-in after 2pm, for whatever reason it may be. They also had some issues with their pin machine, yet they insisted it was because of out credit cards (never had any issues paying in Ecuador, we even just paid at the supermarket with it). After a lot of try and error the lady present said we would try again the next morning. Apparently the landlady insisted that the payment needed to be done the evening itself, so when we just got into bed (after 10pm) they knocked our door, cause we had to pay now and there. No overal welcoming feeling. We felt like they just needed us to stay there to get money in and preferably asap.

The walls are paper thin - can hear every word that anyone says in the other rooms. There were no windows that open - the door to the patio opens but at night we didn't want bugs so we closed it. As a result the room was very stuff and hot - even with the fan on. The owner is a bit strange with his rules.

We were offered a smaller darker room. A massive disservice to this app: photos deceiveing, staff rude and unresponsive. I was not surprised to see many vacant rooms. We left.

The garden is beautiful and you have a hummingbirds flying around your balcony. The staff are very kind and helpful. The internet was good. While we enjoyed stay, and the place is so beautiful we sadly wouldn’t stay there again because of the following. The showers are terrible, it was hard to have them stay warm and they never got hot. So after hiking all day in the rain it’s not enjoyable to get a almost warm shower. You also don’t get access drinking water or at least it’s limited, so you have to buy your own.
