- Sascha-Dominik (8/5): Entspannung und Komfort im schönen Sauerland! - Das Zimmer war wahnsinnig schön, und ein großes Highlight ist natürlich die tolle, freistehende Badewanne. Aber auch der Rest vom Zimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bett war bequem, und das Frühstück wirklich sehr gut! Salami und Schinken konnte man sich selber vom Stück mit einer Schnittmaschine schneiden. Das ist schon sehr speziell, und gibt es wirklich nicht überall! (den Wellnessbereich habe ich nicht genutzt, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen) Statt zwei aneinander gestellte Einzelbetten, wäre ein Doppelbett besser. Ein Wasserkocher mit etwas Kaffee- oder Teezubehör wäre für den Preis auch wünschenswert. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.
- JoHoAac (7/5): Schönes Ambiente allerdings mit wirklich Potenzial zur Optimierung in manchen Bereichen ..... - Abendessen war sehr geschmackvoll angerichtet und schmeckte auch richtig gut. Beißender Geruch im Bad (Zimmer 40), viel Schimmel in der Duschkabine, zu wenig Entlüftung im Bad, als ich duschen war, war der beißende Geruch gepaart mit absolut unschönen Düften aus dem Ablauf der Duschwanne. Dann war noch irgendeine Art iPad im Zimmer ohne Funktion, dies ging immer wieder An und Aus in der Nacht. Laufweg zum Frühstück, na ja, geht, aber statt winzige Tellerchen könnte man vielleicht auch noch ein Körbchen für Brot und Brötchen hinstellen.

- Annika (10/5): - Wir waren nur eine Nacht da bei einer Wanderung auf der Sauerland Waldroute. Für die Route liegt das Hotel schonmal sehr günstig. Essen konnten wir abends auch direkt spontan dort im Restaurant und zwar sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr schön und sauber, das Frühstück auch super mit vielen regionalen Produkten.

- Michael (8/5): - Der Empfang war sehr nett. Das Zimmer wunderschön eingerichtet. Wellness bis 21 Uhr perfekt für Geschäftsreisende. Aber das Frühstück hat da leider nicht mithalten können. Mitten im Raum liegen große Fleischstücke, bzw. ganze Beine, leider sehr unappetitlich.
- Ruediger (8/5): Gutes Hotel, gerne wieder - Hatte ein Zimmer unterm Dach mit Blick zur Kirche und zur Hauptstrasse. Mein Zimmer hatte keinen Schreibtisch, was als Geschäftsreisender suboptimal ist, andere Zimmer sind aber damit ausgestattet. Essen im Restaurant war gut und Frühstück auffallend besser als in anderen Hotels. Brot und Brötchen waren vom Bäcker aus dem Dorf, was wesentlich besser als die übliche Industrieware war, habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut in einem Hotel gesfrühstückt. Eine Show siend die Berkel Schenidemaschinen und die Wurst die dauf geschnitten wird ist ebenfalls besonders gut. Ebenefalls sehr gut ist der Wellnesbereich mit zwei Saunen innen und einer Hüttensauna draußen, sowie zwei Schwimmbecken.

- Geoff (9/5): Another lovely stay in Ostwig - This is a lovely family-run hotel with friendly and helpful staff, especially the owner who spoke good English. The breakfasts were typically German, but plentiful and delicious. Likewise the food in the restaurant was plentiful and delicious. Easy parking and lots of good walking in the nearby woods. Automatic making up of rooms is something which seems to have gone by the board since Covid with many hotels. We prefer our beds to be made daily without having to ask, but here it was done immediately with profuse apologies, so no complaints on that score.

Very special, especially if you like meat as you can slice it yourselves.. Tea and coffee facilities at my room would have made it perfect. Hotel bar closes quite early (21:00)
- Mark (6/5): - 3-sterren design hotel in dorpje Bestwig met prima parkeermogelijkheid. Van doorgaande hoofdstraat hoor je niet veel omdat kamers aan veelal aan achterzijde liggen. Er zijn wel wat nare elementen in het hotel, zoals (lijk)kisten op iedere verdieping ... en de ontbijtruimte lijkt op een crematoriumzaal met een daarbij passend muziekje .... jiiee

The owner(s) were quite allright except when we wanted a different seat for diner they became a little agitated, something I didn't expected. But in there advance, it was really busy that night. The beds were very soft, something not everyone (including myself) likes. The location is perfect.
