Guest Reviews
- Mathew (10/5): -
- bruce (7/5): Did the job - Simple room simple price Outside lights were very bright and remained on the entire night even with curtains closed the light still penetrated the room
- greg (8/5): - Very clean.Location excellent.
The restaurant was excellent.
Staff friendly and helpful.
- Nicole (7/5): - Reasonable price. Quiet. Free parking near room. Great location. Historical building with convict markings in the sandstone blocks and museum upstairs. Room had a bad smell. Note: It’s not on the river side so no views.
- Kerrie (9/5): Stay was amazing and staff very helpful -
- shane (9/5): Great location and facilities - Location excellent good facilities and service All good
- Tracey (6/5): - Loved Wisemans Ferry!!
I didnt realise that i had booked a room in separate building. Was expecting to stay within the old inn as i had once in the past Staying in uninteresting back room
- Teresa (5/5): Basic & inexpensive. - Inexpensive & relatively close to an event we were attending. No drinking water provided.
Check in was awkward & slow.
Very basic accommodation. Car parking wasn't close to rooms.
- Christine (7/5): Loved the experience from the view the top, the car ferry rides and the history. - No bistro, so no breakfast. Would have been nice to have a breakfast. Even if it was just toast and cereal.
- Douglas (7/5): -
- Axiak (6/5): It was below average - The staff were wonderful and the room was clean. The bed was not comfortable. There was a hole in the ceiling. In room 8

Well appointed rooms and clean modern shared bathroom
- Wayne (8/5): So convenient - Great value for the price and close to everything
- Deb (8/5): -
- Nick (8/5): Nice but avoid long weekends - Lovely old style room with balcony. Very noisy as it was a public holiday but the worst thing was the guy using a blower outside our room at 6.45am
- Darren (10/5): Comfortable stay - Friendly chilled staff. We stayed in Sophia’s Grand Bedroom which was very comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was only shared with one other room so wasn’t an issue. Great bistro in the pub too. Didn’t see or experience any of the ghosts (this time ;-)) The room was over the bar and has the smoking area outside so we needed some earplugs, but the pub closes at 10pm so wasn’t too bad. Still had a good sleep.

The staff were unfriendly, the room was dirty, the room was tiny.

- Gary (5/5): Nice place but leave a DNA sample to get in - A lovely old historical property with nice pub food I feel very uncomfortable about going to stay somewhere and having to have my driving license scanned and to sign a waiver and I also don’t like having to join the free Internet in the pub with a half a page of personal information required. And by the way the kettle in the room was broken and you need to be prepared for the fact that there is no television or Wi-Fi in the room which they say so that’s expected but unfortunate.
- Adam Barton (3/5): Great location, very poor accommodation - Location is great Couldn't lock door, shower flooded, no tv, very small room, probably the worst accommodation I've stop in
- Michelle (10/5): Incredible stay in a historic pub - This old pub is amazing! We stayed in the Sophia room and it was exceptional! The shared bathroom facilities were spotless with plenty of towels and toiletries. We ate at the restaurant and the steaks were among the best we've ever eaten! The owner was so friendly and the town is very sweet. You cannot go wrong staying here!
- Stephen (7/5): It worked for me. - A reasonable cost for where I needed an overnight stay. Nice dinner in the pub. This particular Friday night was nice and quiet. The room was a bit musty, probably from the recent hot, humid and rainy weather.

- SouthernSon65 (8/5): -
- Terry (10/5): Great stay! - Great value at iconic location/
- Aviva (10/5): -
- mackie (10/5): - Nice easy room walking distance to pubs clubs
- David (6/5): - Nothing specific. Holes in ceiling. Staff weren't rude, just not friendly
- Geoff (5/5): It’s a great location and the pub plus pub food is great but the rest is probably the worst - The location. The pub food. The staff. The room had holes in the roof and wallpaper falling off the walls.
The promise of WiFi IS RUBBISH.
IT DIRSNY HAPPEN AND THE WEATHER gets blamed for no WiFi !!!’
- Bryce (10/5): -
- Jane (7/5): Great history... - Handy to the ferries, great reading about the history of the building and seeing the museum No lamp in the room, only main ceiling light

- Alexis (10/5): An unexpected gem in Wisemans Ferry - Our stay at Wisemans Inn was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Our room was lovely - spacious and very comfortable. The shared bathrooms were immaculately clean and staff were super friendly!
10/10 stay - excellent value for money, would definitely come back.
- Emma (7/5): Loved every minute - Location is breathtaking, rooms where absolutely great. Bistro staff were amazing politely informative and quick service. Menus not so big but absolutely loved the starter's so delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu Sadly the main menu has disappointed sides and starters fantastic. But overall good atmosphere beautiful views great place to relax and unwind.
- Chris (8/5): - No tv in the room.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Jo (9/5): An absolutely wonderful stay in a unique, historical and amazing 200 year old Inn! - Room beautifully decorated in appropriate period style - the Inn is an amazing 200 years old this year!
Also loved the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Meals at the bistro were great - ate there on 3 occasions.
Loved its proximity to everything ... cafes, the General Store, the park and ferry - everything is close by.
Loved the incredibly historical nature of Cobham Hall/Wiseman's Inn and the little museum upstairs is a great addition to the overall experience of it. The only thing missing/lacking during my stay was an iron. I visited in a heatwave so it was cotton clothing only, which all got pretty creased in my luggage.
- Elliaus (5/5): Good value for money - The location is great, and there's a restaurant, so it's a great place to eat. The value is good, and the staff is friendly. Old facility, cockroaches found
- Rita (1/5): - I couldn't rate this location as there was no power due to a storm and the acc ommodation was closed do I didn't get to stay there. As I have said I didn't stay there

- Evie (10/5): - The atmosphere was amazing nothing
- boyd (8/5): - didn’t realise there was a shared bathroom and no TV but that’s my own fault for not reading it properly
- Sankalp (7/5): Its a beautiful place to stay its worth for money but its a bit dirty and smells - Good A bit dirty and has weird smells
- Darryn (2/5): Done it, Won't be doing it again. - Food was good. No wi fi, no internet connection the whole two days.
- Peter (10/5): - Luvy area
- Sam (3/5): You get what you paid for. - The location was great. And the people were very friendly. Really noisy, it is right above a bar. Also no air conditioning in the room.
- Chathuri (7/5): -
- alison (8/5): - Location location location. Excellent value for money. And a great pub with rich local history.
- Graham (10/5): -
- Leon (10/5): -
- AustRoaming (10/5): - Perfect historical getaway hotel experience. Great bar. Fantastic food, very accommodating for food allergies.
- Sue (1/5): Didnt happen!! - I need a refund for this room as the hotel was closed due to a power outage. So couldn't stay there at all. It was outside the hoteliers control, the whole village didnt have electricity.
- Joann (10/5): Beautiful historic pub. Worth a visit - Great old pub with so much history. The rooms up stairs are so lovely and comfortable. The staff were so great and accommadating. The meals were delicious and so well priced. Highly recommended Nothing
