• Eline (8/5): Helemaal goed! - De locatie is vlakbij het centrum en de haven zodat je geen taxi nodig hebt. Ook is er een supermarkt om de hoek. Het hotel is prima verzorgd met airconditioning. Ook fijn dat ze showergel hadden. De host was heel vriendelijk en sprak prima Engels. De kamer is niet heel groot en heeft geen uitzicht. Ook is de badmat niet heel schoon dus daar kunnen ze nog wat aan doen. Maar voor de prijs-kwaliteit is het heel goed!

• Lisa (6/5): Better options out there - Location was great. Good aircon, good wifi, fridge. Filtered water supplied. I had asked the receptionist if there was any hot water available and the next day a kettle appeared in my room. The 'satellite' TV was straight out of the 90s and only Spanish channels. The reception Is only manned to check you in. A couple locked themselves out of their room and had a lot of trouble trying to contact the owner for assistance. Location is close to everything but on a noisy street.

• Ping (9/5): Good location near the ferry and the host is helpful. - We stayed one night at the hotel when we came back to Ayora from Isla Isabela with the morgning ferry. We could get access to our room direktly upon arrival without extra charge. The hotel helped us to book a taxi to the airport the day after. We are satisfied with our stay at the hotel.

• leticia (10/5): La excelencia en hospedaje de Puerto Ayora - Me hospedé en grupo desde el 12 al 14 de abril y luego sola del 20 al 24. El cuarto era muy cómoda, con buena ducha y excelente aire acondicionado (fundamental en Galápagos) La ubicación del Hostal es perfecta: a mano de todo y a unos 500 mts del comienzo del sendero a Tortuga Bay. Si bien no incluye desayuno, haciendo el pedido la tarde anterior, te será provisto como un extra un excelente desayuno continental. Y como broche de oro Rafa y Germania son seres adorables y muy solícitos. Hostal Germania es definitivamente mi hogar en Puerto Ayora Nada

O proprietário Rafael oferece um café da manhã delicioso por U$ 5, com café, leite, ovos, fruta, pão e suco. Muito gostoso mesmo. Vale a pena. Como a hospedagem é próxima ao centro fazíamos tudo a pé, inclusive a rua dos restaurantes fica na rua de cima. O ar condicionado é ótimo e muito silencioso. Enfim gostamos muito da hospedagem e recomendados. De nada. Tudo muito bom.

• Bianca (7/5): Prima, met name de locatie. - Locatie is heel goed, alles is makkelijk aan te lopen. Taxi’s rijden ook vlakbij. Na het uitchecken konden we de bagage daar laten tot vertrek met de ferry, wat erg fijn was. Elke dag schone handdoeken en opgemaakte bedden. Gratis gefilterd water bijvullen, ideaal. Goede bedden! Warm water met douchen en een koelkastje op de kamer. Badkamer was echt heel klein, zeker voor gezin van 4. Kitranden waren beschimmeld, kraantje lekte. Het is allemaal erg gedateerd. Let op: Alleen cash betaling mogelijk (niet ongewoon op de Galapagos).

• Jaramillo (10/5): My friends had a wonderful stay at Germania Hotel, praising its unbeatable location, friendly and at - I booked a stay at Germania Hotel in the Galápagos Islands for a group of close friends, and they couldn't stop raving about their experience. From the moment they arrived, they were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the high standard of hospitality. The staff was consistently attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful—always ready to assist with anything they needed, whether it was directions, activity recommendations, or just a friendly chat. The location of the hotel turned out to be one of its greatest assets. It's perfectly situated for easy access to the main attractions of Puerto Ayora, just a short walk from the waterfront, shops, and restaurants. My friends felt they were right in the heart of the action, yet still able to enjoy peace and quiet when they returned to the hotel at the end of the day. They were equally enthusiastic about the lodging itself. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged—providing a relaxing and pleasant space to unwind after long days of adventure. Everything felt well-maintained and cared for, from the furnishings to the little touches that make a difference when you’re traveling. Though I didn’t stay there personally, hearing their firsthand account and appreciation for the experience makes me confident in recommending Germania Hotel without hesitation. It’s a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the Galápagos who values great location, excellent service, and a reliable, comfortable place to stay. There was nothing disliked at all.

• Carly (8/5): Good value for money - Great location, really central location to Charles Darwin Ave and the port. Good value for money, very reasonably priced. Basic but clean. HOT SHOWERS! The staff insisted on cleaning the rooms/waking us up before 8am on the days that we were still in the room!

• Yiliang (9/5): Good. - The location is good. I don’t like the travel agent they recommended, whose name is Stalin. His shop is located at the corner of Charles Binford and Av. Baltra(I don't remember the name). We booked a day tour with him, but he didn’t show up at the meeting point. He also ignored my WhatsApp messages, and when the hostal tried to call him, he didn’t answer. I almost missed the tour. Fortunately, the hostal helped us get to the correct tour group, and we were still able to complete the tour.

• Francesca (8/5): Family of 5 comfortable accommodations and very reasonable rates. - Close to the waterfront and city. Rafael our host was awesome. The rooms were so large we switched to just one room and all 5 of us fit in the double room and Rafael was fine with us switching. Jug of cold drinkable water was right outside our hotel room. Rafael let us keep our luggage while we waited for the ferry. WiFi was great! The bathroom was a little stinky but most likely because of the moisture. Totally tolerable.

• Klotz (8/5): For the price, it was a good value and its location was close to everything so no taxi required! - The location was a block from main street so many stores, restaurants and close to port. The room and bed (a king?) were clean and comfy. There were benches and a table if you wanted to sit outside but it was too warm...looked over and street and unfinished construction..a bit noisy w/cars, trucks and motorcycles but didn't keep me awake...TV was a a bit fuzzy but I didn't care...internet was good. I had trouble w/my bank and Rafael allowed me to stay in reception area to use internet to contact them even though it was after my check out time of 10am - it was VERY much appreciated! A bit noisy w/traffic.

A bit noisy on the road outside the hotel, shower flow wasn’t perfect but it was hot which the main thing! The room was a little basic but met our needs.

• Charlene (6/5): My daughter liked this hostal the most out of the 3 hostals we stayed on Galapagos island - Location is perfect. It is 7 min away from Tortuga Bay park entrance. It is 2 min away from tourist street but not right on it so it's quiet. It's located in central of town so it feels safe. Hot water shower was very hot.

Our room was cleaned, bed made and towels changed every day! We were also provided with a kettle so we could make hot drinks too. Rooms were cleaned and supplied every day. The location was very good, walking distance from playa de Tortugas and close to las Grietas with a short water taxi and short walk. The owner was amazing and helped us sort out our luggage lost by the airlines and also arranged airport transfers. Also provided with trustful recommendations for tour operators. • Ana (8/5): Location near the pier at a good price - The price is very good compared to other options in the area. The location is the best because it is very close to the pier from which all the tour boats leave, it is also close to the street with food kiosks at good prices, pharmacies, and mini supermarkets. The rooms are simple, they have just the basics: hot water, air conditioning, a small refrigerator, the bed is comfortable. They clean the rooms daily. The Nymph Lagoon is less than a block away, we saw colorful fish and turtles. Some details could improve: In one of the rooms the refrigerator never worked, the bathroom sink in one of the rooms had a leak.

• Jami (10/5): Great place to stay in Puerto Aroya - The location couldn't be better. It wasn't too busy, it was a block from just about everything though! It's not the priciest place so it really exceeded expectations. I had trouble figuring out the hot water the first night and took a cold shower, but the second night I figured it out!
