We had a wonderful stay, bed extremely comfortable, room spotless and breakfast was tasty and well presented enjoyable evening meal in the Orangery to celebrate our anniversary, many thanks for our card The only slight issue was the occassional noise from the plumbing( I think) , maybe this is to be expected in an older type of building This did not spoil our stay and we would love to return in the future
- jillr92 (10/5): A Truly Special Stay Yet Again! 🥰 - Another wonderful stay at the beautiful Carbis Bay Hotel and once again it completely lived up to everything we love about this special place. We stayed in Junior Suite 7 which was absolutely amazing — spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and with stunning views that make it so hard to leave. Waking up to the sea each morning is just magical. From relaxing spa treatments, peaceful walks and refreshing sea swims, to simply sitting and taking in the breathtaking surroundings, every part of our stay felt special and restorative. A very special mention must go to Sam, who is such a gentleman and a real credit to the hotel. Nothing is ever too much trouble and he always makes us feel genuinely valued and welcome. Receptionist Jamie-Lee was also fantastic and always makes sure our room is exactly to our liking, which is such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated. Sadly we didn’t get to see as much of her this trip, but her care and attention certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Our two meals at the Gannet Inn were absolutely excellent. The staff were amazing — attentive, friendly and they created such a lovely atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and every meal felt like a real treat. It’s the people, alongside the beautiful location, that keep bringing us back time and time again. We truly love this hotel and already can’t wait for our next visit. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A special mention to Troy who sorted out my booking into the main hotel when I realised I had booked The Cabin, a 5 minute drive away. He also sorted out our additional night's stay and taxis to The Gannet where we had 2 excellent meals with some of the best service I have experienced. Even the weather was amazing which just added to a wonderful week. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

Incredibly clean beach and in my opinion the best beach in Cornwall. With lovely restaurants, shops for all your beach needs, a lovely little ice cream stall and if you want to learn how to surf they even have classes you can book on. The hotel is outstanding. The staff are so lovely and go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. Troy and Sam go above and beyond every time we stay. We visit every 12/15 weeks and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. You can’t beat this hotel. The beach house we stayed in was out of this world. We stayed in number 7. The pictures speak for themselves. Everything was sparkling clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We loved to leave the windows open at night so that we could listen to the sounds of the waves, so relaxing. We also saw some seals! The spa is gorgeous and looks right out onto the ocean. The cocktails are out of this world.

The bedroom was well appointed, comfortable and with a great view of the beach. We had cocktails before dinner and then ate at Walter’s on the Beach. Breakfast was in the main restaurant and was really good. All the staff we met were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious, plenty of storage & a lovely modern bathroom with a walk in rainforest style shower. We had a juliett balcony & were really glad of this as the room was warm & it was great to have the door open all night. Staff were all friendly, the spa was great & the views of the beach were superb. We were lucky to have such beautiful weather too. The beach is stunning, the costal walk to St Ives was really enjoyable & the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back. My only moan would be we would prefer a bigger bed but this would not prevent our return. See you next year Carbis Bay x

From the assistance on the phone and emails from various staff on making sure we were fully ready for our stay. Upon arrival we had a great experience with Ilma at reception who could not do enough to help us and made our occasion just feel special, even leaving us a congratulatory card in our room upon arrival. We loved the spa and everything about the hotel, the views are just incredible with some of the best food and drink venues I have come across on the doorstep. As I have said the location, staff and service we received here made our celebration so special and we cannot thank everyone involved enough for this, we shall return!
- Jumbo282417 (2/5): Would we go again......... - Sadly Carbis Bay Xmas 2025 was not all it was cracked up to be, in fact, from our experience we've stayed in better Premier Inns. The hotel was cold, there was no heating in the public rooms or initially in our bedroom, we had to ask twice for it to be put on. The only heat we had was from the empty fridge that was in a cupboard! Considering the cost for 4 nights stay (Xmas package 3 nights plus 1 extra night OVER £2.5k) Xmas was a complete let down. There was no entertainment other than a pianonist who played the same tunes for a short time every evening, and there was no bar where you could sit in comfort, have a drink and meet other people or a nice warm lounge with a roaring log fire. Christmas Day early evening there was a buffet which was very nice and made up for Xmas lunch that was served plated and only luke warm so had to be sent back, and this was just the tip of the iceburg. When we arrived we were given an upgrade, not sure why except it meant walking up 3 flights of stairs with luggage and no offer of help and no lift. Our room overlooked the car park, the old windows rattled 95% of the time and let in the very cold air. When we checked out they even had the cheek to add a service charge on everything! Some of the staff we wouldn't give the steam off our coffee (not that there ever was any) let alone a tip, other than to be more friendly and helpful, and this is just the tip of the iceburg. Would we recommend Carbis Bay Hotel, absolutely not, would we go again, absolutely not, is it a 5 star hotel, absolutely not.

- Jimbob2705 (8/5): Good stay, could have been better - We managed to get a really good rate for the room with a 50% deal, we had a Junior Suite with a Sea View and were fortunate enough to have a double balcony also which given the sunny weather was a great bonus. Id had a few dealings with staff at the reception prior to our check in day and they were superb and couldn't do more for us to help. This service continued when we arrived, in fact it continued throughout our stay, superb service throughout. The room itself was a good size although the balcony area was a bit tired, possibly as we've just gone through winter and I imagine they take a battering in bad weather. Possibly they get tidied up before the summer arrivals. Room had an espresso machine, some instructions would've been helpful. It had a fridge, although it was empty, a nice touch could have been to have some local drinks in, other hotels in the area do this and is a nice touch. There was a kettle and tea, coffee, hot chocolate but sadly no biscuits, again such a small gesture that's always nice and warmly received in other hotels. Bathroom was big and bright, was mostly clean although attention needed to be paid to the shower head, a build up of dust that should have been cleaned, however it wasn't a big issue for us. There was a tablet in the room to look at hotel facilities, room service etc however frustratingly it didn't stay powered on for long once taken away from the holder, probably due an upgrade. Breakfast was superb, pick 2 courses from the menu and all locally sourced ingredients which was great to see and cooked to perfection 👌 The one thing to look out for which is nothing the hotel can change is theres a lot of steps and the hill down to the hotel from the station is very very steep so be prepared! Overall a good stay, but glad we had a 50 % discount as for the full price id expect everything to be spot on.

This hotel is not only beautiful and serene but the staff who work here are first class and very attentive. The food is beautiful and the atmosphere in all the restaurants is fantastic. We found the staff made our stay a Five star plus experience. A special thanks to Nicole, Troy, Alex, Jamie Lee and all the very friendly team who looked after us with so much care. Our children loved the kids club activities and loved looking at books in the library, playing games and enjoying their swim time in the pool. The Carbis bay spa is beautiful. The treatment I had was one of the best. Thank you Jayda for taking care of me so well. Thank you all.

Described as a junior suite. It had a great view over the beach, but other than that was quite an ordinary room, which looked and felt a bit tired. In hindsight I was surprised to hear the receptionist who showed us to our room describe it as her favourite room in the whole hotel! The location is great. Views and beach lovely. The seagulls tapping on the window was interesting. Breakfast was also disappointing. Sourdough toast over toasted, under toasted bread with the eggs and smoked salmon and elements of the English breakfast a bit over done - particularly the bacon. Service was a bit brusk as well. Just not quite the quality we were expecting. Whilst the price was!
- victoriarO7421EE (10/5): Exceptional Spa Experience with Stunning Coastal Views 🌊✨ - Carbis Bay Estate never fails to impress, but my recent visit for a pick-and-mix spa treatment with Sarah was truly exceptional. On a glorious 2nd April, I enjoyed a swim in the outdoor pool in beautiful sunshine, followed by the sauna and hot tub, all while taking in those stunning coastal views that feel just as special even as a local. My treatment with Sarah was outstanding - her back massage and facial were so deeply relaxing that I actually fell asleep, which says everything. Having experienced many top hotels and spas, I can honestly say Sarah’s treatment ranks among the very best. The products used were absolutely beautiful, leaving my skin feeling incredible. A perfect, indulgent escape from start to finish.
- ZoeHuckle (2/5): Disappointing - We booked a ‘villa’….only to find out upon arrival that it is nowhere near the hotel. We were shown to the property, via van, and told it was a two to three minute drive, it was not. The ‘villa’ is isolated, albeit, sharing a very small drive off of the main road, and not within walking distance of the facilities of the hotel; We were told that if we wanted to have dinner at the hotel and have a bottle of wine we would need to get a taxi back to the property. As far as I’m concerned, if I’m a guest, it is the hotel’s responsibility to transport me from A to B. Once entering the villa, I took photo’s to show the standard, which I feel to be substandard, and thus at best is a cynical attempt to relieve customers of the weight in their pockets. The standards of cleanliness were well below that of which should be expected, there was no underfloor heating - which should be an absolute standard in all highly glazed properties, for two reasons, efficiency, and comfort. The glasses were dirty, the mugs were dirty, and there were issues around the windows. We have booked this villa for two nights, thank goodness, had we have booked for three, it would have cost a phenomenal amount of money. It would be my suggestion, for all guys reading this do not do it! Last November, I stayed in a house called Estuary Watch, and it was so much better. I would highly recommend, 5 beds and 5 stars. So close by, so much nicer, don’t waste your time with Carbis Bay, unless you are impressed by a breakfast hamper……..and that being the case, go to The Treehouses, Chewton Glen. That’s 5 star.

- peterbeverleywirral (10/5): A truly relaxing weekend - Returning to Carbis Bay Hotel for our fifth time felt like coming home to a place that never stops surprising us. Each visit reminds us why we keep coming back: the setting, the service, and that unmistakable sense of calm you feel when entering the hotel reception to be greeted by such friendly staff. Driving down the hill to the hotel the view across the bay worked its usual spell — turquoise water, soft sand, and that gentle sweep of the shoreline that feels almost unreal. The hotel continues to deliver the perfect blend of luxury and warmth. We have our favourite room (I’m not going to tell you which one else everyone will be asking to reserve it) but I can say it is beautifully kept, and very comfortable. It’s clear the team takes real pride in maintaining the highest standards, and it shows. What truly sets Carbis Bay apart, though, is the staff. As on previous visits, they were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. The food and drink also remains a highlight. Breakfast overlooking the bay is still one of my favourite rituals in the world. Carbis Bay Hotel continues to be our go to escape, unforgettable every time. I can’t recommend it highly enough. We have been visiting over the past ten years and seen this hotel expand but treating a personal service and feels very much like a five star family hotel. Immediately upon arrival you are welcomed and greets with sincerity and then the concierge team kick in if like us you are lucky enough to be staying in a luxury lodge perched on the beach and with three storeys of luxury and opulence. The lodge has a rooftop hot tub whilst the middle floor has three double en suite bedrooms with two having balconies overlooking the sea. Downstairs is huge with a large tv, kitchen and fire plus dining area. With restaurants and cafes within walking distance or like us this time, we dined in with fine food served in our lodge. We had breakfast hampers with porridge, coffee and smoked salmon delivered to us. Special thanks to Tyler, Paul, Olly and Sam as the concierge team go over and above and are really friendly and helpful and made us feel special. Andrea in the Orangery was lovely as always. Kate who offers yoga is really nice and offers amazing classes which we both enjoyed again. This hotel oozes

We stayed in suite 6, stunning views, I’d go as far to say the best along this coastline. The suite is furnished well, and the bed, super comfy. I had a beautiful facial, with Vicky. We had such a lovely chat, and her facial was excellent - I have a fair few facials, and Vicky’s I will say is one of the best. Walters on the beach, big WOW, the food was exceptional- enjoyed every mouthful. Would we stay again. Yes, in a heartbeat. Thank you CBH, we feel refreshed and relaxed, job well done!

- PK191919 (6/5): Certainly not 5 star service or luxury - I just don’t get the hype about Carbis Bay. I booked a Superior lodge for my Wife’s birthday. We arrived early and I’d requested an early check in ( I read many reviews stating things like upgrades and early check ins for birthdays etc). Neither of these happened. Check in was clunky at best. The lodge show around was sparse. They are loaded with tech but no real explanation about how you use some of it. The lodges themselves need some TLC. The views are incredible. The lodges are stunning (but are £5k a night peak season!) I only used the hotel pool which has very limited timed for under 16s otherwise, on our stay it was full of people drinking, as was the spa hot tub. The site was incredibly busy - parking is limited. The lodge has lodge parking, which was full of builders vans and vehicles when we arrived - which defeats the object of dedicated lodge parking. On checking in no car details are taken so I have no idea how the hotel know who is parking where? We ate the beach club, great food and service the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was ordered on WhatsApp and delivered in hampers, makes the most of the expensive lodge and not leaving to eat at the hotel. To me it feels like it’s incredibly expensive for what it is, all I see are press stays on Instagram and shots of when the pool isn’t full of people drinking. The serene shots aren’t what I experienced. Would I return, I’m sorry it’s not worth the money.

Brilliant views of the fabulous Carbis Bay . Most of the staff , particularly in the restaurants were very friendly and professional. Now the negatives There is a direct through route in the breakfast room leading to the spa, so guests in robes are constantly walking through and opening the outside door. A semi buffet for breakfast is normal but here you just get to choose 2 items. The rooms have no fridge fitted as standard and not even a welcome biscuit. The window sash cord was broken so impossible to open the window. No signage in the hotel to direct you around. No hotel information either in the room or at reception. Also no local information about transport etc. I was referred instead to the website. These are all quite small points that would be easy to rectify in order to enhance our stay.

The overall experience felt exceptional from start to finish, seamless booking, welcoming arrival, immaculate facilities, and thoughtful finishing touches that made the day feel indulgent yet effortless. For the quality of service, the stunning location and the level of luxury, it offers fantastic value compared to many other spas I’ve visited. We had the absolute privilege of staying in Lodge 7, and I can honestly say it was the best accommodation experience we have ever had in the UK.The sea views from the lodge are beyond words—you have to see them to believe them. The views are indescribable—waking up to that sea view felt like a dream. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the world-class service. The service was 10/10—special shutout to Raluca in the spa for the pampering and Franky at Walter’s for the best dinner recommendations. If you’re looking for a place to truly impress, this is it. - Roving06052333574 (10/5): What a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. - We had a really lovely stay at the Carbis Bay Hotel. What stood out most was the team. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming and clearly takes pride in the hotel. The place was spotless throughout our stay, and the housekeeping team do an excellent job keeping everything looking immaculate. The reception staff were also wonderful always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed. The food across the hotel’s venues was fantastic as well. Every meal we had was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurants was great. A special thank you to Emma, the General Manager, who really looked after us during our stay. She made us feel genuinely welcome and more like part of the hotel family than just guests, which meant a lot. Our only complaint was the lack of sunshine while we were there but the smiles from the team certainly made up for that. We’ll definitely be back.

Walter’s on the beach great food and service was good. Attentive and natural. I disliked walking through dining room to spa. The breakfast was lukewarm and we had to ask for juice and the toast that had been ordered. Breakfast team were not good. Just needed finesse. On check out no one asked how our stay was and was impersonal. Very small changes would make this place amazing.

Lovely comfortable apartment which is dog friendly so no one stayed at home! At the Carbis bay they always go the extra mile, a gluten free cake was waiting for us on arrival! Amazing! They offer the best breakfast in the most beautiful surroundings and nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Carbis Bay. We ate in the beach club restaurant and were very well looked after by Georgianna and her team. The food is excellent and there are many gluten free options and all with a stunning view of the bay while you eat! Highly recommend this wonderful hotel and we can’t wait to return in October.
- danielhE8389XX (6/5): Needs some TLC! - We have stayed at carbis bay hotel a number of times over the last two years, and we always request the same beach suite room. We love the location of the hotel, and the spa is amazing. The staff have always been excellent as well. However, this will be our last visit until there are some improvements. We both feel that the hotel is due a refurb, as it just isn't at the level you'd expect for the price being paid. At check in, historically we've always asked if we needed help with our bags however this time it was not offered. We also remember previously having a handwritten note left in the room welcoming us to the hotel, but again we didn't have that this time. The rooms need a good deep clean and some TLC. In our usual beach suite, the grouting on the bathroom floor tiles has turned black in places with a crusty layer on top. Some grout has also come up completely. It also seemed like the outside of the toilet had not been cleaned, as it had some dried urine marks on it... There were also dried toothpaste splatters underneath the shelf above the sink. We also found a hair on the bathroom floor. The finishing piece around the top of the rainfall shower has also been broken for at least 2 years now - it's not really a big deal, but just shows that either no one checks for these things or they don't care to fix them. Furniture and decor across the hotel is generally a bit tatty, and doesn't feel like luxury. The breakfast menu seems to have changed since our last visit, and IMO not for the better (but that is just our preference). We really like the spa and my wife had an enjoyable massage, but said the masseuse never asked about pressure, comfort, etc.. unlike in previous years. Overall - we no longer think this hotel is worth the money. It's definitely in need of some TLC to bring it back up to the level you're paying for.

Price needs to match overall offer. - What they do well : staff are extremely nice, from dining room to housekeeping to front of house. Nothing is too much trouble. They go the extra mile to make your stay great. Views are fantastic and the location is right on a beautiful sandy beach. The spa is really great, including a large hot bubbles pool which is blissful and outdoor swim pool and large sauna. All look out over the sea. Rooms are clean, comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. Less good: dining is not great. They need a new chef. Breakfast is not well cooked or conceived and over-complicated.. and just overall not the treat you’d look forward to. Simple, traditional semi buffet would be better. Less expensive hotels do it better. I think the coffee / tea set up in the rooms needs a rethink. Price - these are four seasons prices. It just isn’t a four seasons experience. Better dining would really elevate things. Small detail - synthetic hollow fibre pillows were a bit cheap and I found them very uncomfortable. For the price level that needs looking at. Highlight - all the staff .. and the spa overlooking the sea.
- leanneaZ885YF (4/5): It’s not like it was before a lot of changes and not for the best - Unfortunately, this stay was a very different experience from what we expected, and not in a positive way. We stayed in a beach suite, which came with a shared kitchen. This felt much more like a hostel setup than a luxury hotel experience. Although we were provided with a kettle, the cups supplied were not even suitable for making coffee, which felt like a basic detail overlooked. The balcony door also did not lock properly, which was concerning from both a privacy and security perspective and added to the feeling that the accommodation was not maintained to a high standard. The spa experience was also disappointing. During our treatment, we were never asked about pressure preference, and there were rarely staff around to order drinks, which took away from what should have been a relaxing and attentive environment. At breakfast, items we ordered were missing, and no one checked back to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. The lack of attentiveness from staff was noticeable throughout our stay. Overall, this was a very expensive trip that unfortunately did not deliver the level of service or experience expected from a 5-star hotel.

The Pod itself was beautiful and well equipped, with lots of extra goodies on arrival which was a lovely touch. The location itself was lovely and so peaceful, it was the perfect place for a relaxing family gathering for a special birthday. We couldn't recommend enough and look forward to returning again in the near future!

World-Class Dining & Service A special mention must go to Jerry and Miheala at Walter’s Restaurant. They went above and beyond to recognize our anniversary, providing service that was nothing short of elite. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of professional and personal touches. Our mornings were equally impressive thanks to Catalin, whose service at every breakfast was amazing—it was the perfect way to start each day. Drinks & Relaxation We also spent some time in the bar where Ion looked after us. He is a master of his craft; the cocktails he prepared and served were fantastic and added a great vibe to our evenings. For relaxation, the Spa was a highlight. Raluca looked after us fantastically during our time there, ensuring we felt completely pampered and relaxed throughout. A Return Visit is Already Booked The level of service across the entire hotel is a credit to the team. We were so impressed by the whole experience that we have already booked another stay for March. We are very much looking forward to returning!

Staff took our bags and we headed to The Orangery for a glass of the local sparkling wine. When the room was ready we headed up to a fantastic view and nothing was out of place. We had a wonderful evening and stay. The breakfast was particularly good with room service from happy staff. We would like to give a special thanks to Tyler,Olly,Sahara Troy & Jamie-Lee. Would recommend Carbis Bay Estate any time.
- 607nicd (10/5): Quality Carbis Bay Hotel - We arrive during the storms in early January to be told that the hotel had no electricity and we couldn’t stop. As this was our honeymoon the hotel helped us find alternative accommodation owned by the chain until they were sorted. This issue was sorted later that day and we arrived a day late. The hotel was very willing to extend our honeymoon by the day that we lost. we couldn’t thank them enough. We had one of the sea view suites overlooking the beach. The standard in the room was exceptional, we had a roll topped bath that you could see the beach from which was a treat each evening. The restaurant and the quality of the food was second to none. All the staff that we interacted with were helpful and willing to go the extra mile to give us the best experience ever. All in all a quality hotel that we would recommend to anybody wanting a relaxing luxury sea break.
- snookertown (10/5): Carbis Bay Hotel review. - We booked for a 5 night stay last Saturday, 24th January. Allocated a room in the main hotel, it was very well appointed with dual aspect windows and a king sized bed. We had requested a small fridge in which to store some medication but, unfortunately, this did not work. Mentioning this, and a very slow draining basin, we were immediately offered an upgrade to a Beach Suite which, as the name suggests, overlooked the magnificent Carbis Bay. On entering, my partner had a tear in her eye, such was the impact this suite has on the senses. This suite is absolutely breathtaking, roll top bath, walk in shower, beautiful toiletries and the softest of towels. Into the main bedroom and lounge area, the underfloor heating provided ample warmth, plentiful wardrobe and storage space, sofa, chairs and dressing table along with the king sized bed. And I mustn't forget the 55" wall mounted TV. But the room was completed by the stunning views of the beach, accessed by a private lift. The private balcony with table and chairs was tempting but the weather was not informed of our visit! This really was a fantastic experience facilitated by Jaimie-Lee, the ever smiling and so helpful receptionist who made this possible. Nothing was too much trouble for her and her colleague, Troy. Each afternoon, we answered a soft knock at the door to be greeted with two glasses of bubbles and an invitation to enjoy freshly baked cakes and unlimited nibbles. Perfection! Such an experience deserves to be repeated and we have booked to return at the end of March for a further 5 night stay. To finish, the service from all of the staff sets the standard of the 5* rating which is richly deserved. We cannot wait to return. Rob S.

Christmas lunch was definitely 2 star and for some reason none of their meals are served hot always warmish They need a new cook. Their moto is charge the customer for everything and then add a 10% service charge. No lift and some rooms are up plenty of stairs. Hotel lounge is a bit pocky and there is no bar just staff service Give the Carbis Bay a miss it has seen better days and there are more hospitable ones in Cornwall

The Cottage is Beautiful and in a Fantastic Location with Just a Very Short walk to the Beach and Hotel Facilities. Josh and Sam from the Concierge Team were Absolutely Outstanding and Nothing was Too much, We even had Treats delivered from the Hotel Staff for Our Dog Ted. New Year party was great, food was excellent and the rooms super comfortable and clean. The spa was a lovely way to melt away the stress of Christmas and properly relax. We whiled away many happy hours in Walter’s on the beach helped by some incredible cocktails and good company. Thanks for a memorable stay!
- lordw184 (4/5): Christmas in a Cold very average overpriced & overrated hotel - When we arrived we where shown to our room which was cold, no heating had been put on, the receptionist switched the valve of the rad on. It took some time (24 hours) to come up to temperature. We went down for our evening meal and was given a choice from the same menu that we had in the summer when we visited the hotel nothing warming or festive had been added. It was pointed out we could not have a certain dish as it was not in the package; this had never been explained when we booked the Xmas package. The Orangery is the main dining room which was cold, therefore food that was served did not remain hot or only lukewarm. Other people complained and a few electric heaters were brought in, to little effect. So much for a so called superior Hotel. It has happened before, as the reception told us they are looking at extra glazing insulation. The breakfast can only be described as poor, full English, the bacon had got rivulets of salt the tomato looked smashed the filter coffee was neither hot or a good strength what happened to cafetieres? Christmas Lunch came plated up, no silver service?? Also we had to wait some 40 minutes between the starter and the main course while the table next to us sailed through there meal at a nice pace. We got a free drink for this when we complained about the wait. They did not keep Ginger Wine and a Whisky Mac was a mystery, I also had to go into the bar area to get drinks as service was sometimes indifferent. The lounge is small with an electric fire. Plenty of smiles to keep the guests happy but little action all for £ 1750 not worth it. Parking a bit tight. Should have gone to the Mullion Cove Hotel or the Penventon Park where I now know is much better. So disappointed for a allegedly five star hotel

- ianhV1325YS (10/5): Epic - Our first visit to Carbis Bay Hotel - and we were royally wowed. Our 3 generation family stayed in a 3 bed lodge which was beautifully finished and very well appointed. All agreed the sea view set it apart - even from the main hotel itself. I have to give a shout out to the concierge team Tyler Sam & Ollie who were instrumental in making our stay seamless. They effortlessly moved our luggage, helped with our less-abled Nana, brought canapés, delivered breakfast hampers - and provided all the local area information we asked for. What amazing ambassadors they were - CBH they did you proud. Nothing but positives and five stars from us all. A final thanks to Jamie-Lee who helped us from our first enquiry - you provided us with a first class and most memorable experience.

- laurahF3465AO (10/5): An amazing stay -book it!! - We arrived to be given the news we had been upgraded to a three bedroom beach lodge (we’d booked a 2 bed beach house). What an amazing property it was - beautifully decorated and luxurious. The views to the two front bedrooms were spectacular- the lodge is right on the beach. Our concierge Paul greeted us and helped with our luggage. He was really helpful and knowledgeable. He even gave us some vegan options re restaurants as I am vegan. Paul was on hand at any time for any question we had. We had amazing 90 minute treatments in the C Spa and would highly recommend. A highly relaxing and luxurious stay and one we will definitely book again!

The lodge itself has all the amenities you could expect and was very comfortable and clean. No noise noticed from any neighbours. The staff we did see were very professional and the service top notch. Only issue was having a non ev car removed from a charging bay so i could charge. This could / should be better policed as its an offered service. Overall a very enjoyable trip and we will go again.

- p0ssc (8/5): Christmas Break - We recently stayed in one of the dog cottages at Carbis Bay Hotel and overall had a lovely time, but there were a few things worth mentioning. Although we keep our dog very clean, there was a noticeable dog smell in the cottage when we arrived, which was a bit off-putting. Because of this, we chose to eat in the restaurant rather than make use of the in-room dining option, which also felt like it might have been a little isolating. On the positive side, the cottage itself was well equipped, with a lovely selection of items in the fridge and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and having the beach and the Christmas market right on the doorstep made the experience even more special. One suggestion would be to introduce a dog-friendly bar or communal space, as not having one made things feel a little limiting and again slightly isolating for dog-owners. Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay and do plan to return without a dog.

Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Carbis who work tirelessly to make sure your stay is just perfect. Our concierge Sam was amazing and on hand to help with anything we needed. The lodge was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We have been many times to Carbis and cannot find anything that compares. It’s just perfect. I’m back again in a few weeks for the Bublé night which will be amazing I’m sure. This place is totally what we need to get away from it all, as soon as we arrive we feel so relaxed. A huge thank you to everyone who makes this such a special place to stay.

Cosy and incredibly comfortable living areas and bedrooms with our own hot tub and use of the spa garden sauna. It is an amazing bolt hole away from home with endless luxurious touches and a phenomenal setting. Everyone was brilliantly welcoming and friendly, from the moment Troy welcomed us at the front desk through to our check out. A particular shout out to Troy who went out of his way to ensure we were settled in and knew the layout of our accommodation. We loved the room (spotlessly clean), the Spa (it is the best spa we have ever been in!), the seals just off the beach, the breakfast, the friendly staff and all the little extra touches. We stayed in the beach view junior suite which had the most incredible view and the sound of waves crashing against the shore. We watched the seals bob around the bay all weekend. And the icing on the cake was that on arrival not only was there cake in our room but a gluten free cake! - messiebean (10/5): 5/5 — Staff who turned a lovely stay into a special memory - I booked Carbis Bay Hotel as a surprise for my boyfriend’s 30th and the team absolutely made it. From the moment we arrived, reception got in on the surprise and couldn’t have been more helpful or enthusiastic. We checked our car in and, when we came back, discovered we’d been upgraded — such a thoughtful touch. Not long after we reached the room there was a knock at the door and two glasses of champagne appeared. We don’t usually drink champagne… but it was so lovely we went on to buy three bottles! It’s the kindness and genuine care from the staff that set this place apart and made the whole trip. Special shout out to the LOVELY blonde lady on reception who loves cats and the Latina lady also in reception! (Apologies if that’s wrong) you two were the BEST! And we hope to see you again 😍 We loved it so much we’re literally on our way back for another night as we speak. Can’t recommend highly enough.

- Neil (9/5): We loved the location and food and drink.- beautiful location - The hotel was beautiful and the facilities The room was looking tired - the window sill needed repainting and the cushions on the bed were a little soiled (needed a clean) one day our room was not cleaned. However the view over the sea was stunning and the hotel staff were lovely. One night a man was very aggressive in one of the rooms on our floor and was slamming doors and swearing at staff - he should have been asked to leave - we felt sorry for the staff dealing with him.
