Guest Reviews
- Viacheslav (4/5): - High price. Bad service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Peaceful and serene. More access to road would be nicer.
- Raymund (2/5): - The messed up the airport pickup twice. First time their driver got sick but didnt replace him or informed us that no driver was coming. Second time was to pick me up later within the day they failed to do so again, even after repeated reminders from my family who were already there. The driver eventually came after 1 hour of being late.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed was extremely comfortable but this place os too far away and its very small. Theres basically no security and the wifi is garbage. I kedered breakfast rwice and they forgot ro make and bring it. All in all I would not recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A little bit retired from the center, but 5 minutes by bike or taxi.
Hotel had a free shuttle service in and out from hotel to center of Ubud.
Not many rooms, so place is really quiet. Ifeal for disconnection and rest.
We loved this place.
Staff, aweosome. Same guys doing the check in serve you the brwakfast, with your own coffee pot in the table, fruit, etc.
- Rawa (10/5): - Personal! Poolen, restaurang.
- Espen (8/5): Great value for money - Lets start with the staff. They were great, and made our stay so much better. Always smiling, helping us with whatever we needed. Hotel is about 20-30 minutes walk from the Ubud market. To walk you have to travel an unsafe road, so it's best to book a motorbike from the hotel. Lacking a phone to order room service. A waterboiler would also be nice. Horrible wifi, have to login several times. Netflix was also blocked.
- Brittany (10/5): - Most amazing and humble staff, beautiful food and a cute little kitten that we got to name monkey soxs. Highly recommend 10/10 best experience in Bali so far.
- Aslam (8/5): - Great stay , clean room , comfy bed , nice pool . Quiet area , good environment and nice breakfast although lack variety if you plan to stay +3 days or more .
Grab or uber not available and as property is at least a km from main road it is advisable to prebook car for 1/2 day (IDR 359k for 5 hours) or full day (IDR 550k for 10 hours)
Do not exchange currency at airport best rates are in Kuta , exchange in Ubud less competitive but much better than at airport (a ripoff)
- Renie (10/5): - It was great hotel, friendly staff,I recommended for this one, might I would come back to stay here if come to Ubud
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Très accueillant, chaleureux, propre et surtout calme!
- A&BJohansen (10/5): - Puri Suksma is very easy to reach. It’s really good for people who doesn’t know ubud much or first time in ubud. You wont’t get lost for hours in the small alley way :) . The staff were prompt and attentive. The room exactly like what they’ve showed on the pictures :)
Cheers,
A&B Johansen
- Verified traveler (10/5): - loving the size and cleanliness of the room; however the lighting is rather dim. as for the outdoor, really nice with tropical Balinese environment, felt relaxed! serves delicious breakfast!
- Ali Sinan (2/5): Kötü - It was disaster for us. We booked the hotel for 5 days but we stayed 3 days and then we changed our hotel because of region and hotel comfort. They cleaned our room everyday and room was average but meal, hotel region and the workers was awful. The internet was also bad.
Ubud palace’a yakın yerleri tercih etmeniz gerekebilir.
- Declan (6/5): - This place was ok to stay at, the wifi was very bad and cut off every few minutes, making you sign in again. The hotel is advertised with having many amenities that were not present such as black out drapes, bathrobes and slippers, premium tv (didnt work). The food was nice, reasonably priced and the staff were great
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for retreat - This place can be a comfortable place or an inconvenient place, depending on your needs.
I needed to have a sort of quiet retreat from touristic hypes. So, this place was a reasonable solution for me.
They provided the following basics every single day during my stay: two small bottles of water; cleaning of rooms; changing of towels.
For those who want to be active in the centre, It is situated in a remote location where it is not easy to call a cab or even a motoebike. But if you are willing to spend about 20 minutes for a walk in a off-beat area or you have your own transportation, this place might work for you.
You might encounter problems at the venue. But, the staffs are willing to resolve issues in their own way, if you are willing to coordinate with them.
If you need a high level of privacy, probably this place might be lacking facilities to meet your demand. Your room would not have a big couch and table for coffee. You have to use common areas to do such things. My room did not have a fridge. But there was a fridge in a common space. No kettle in the room, but the staff provided me with hot water, when I brought them my thermo bottle.
So, up to your need and willingness to coordinate with the operating staffs.
- Charlie (8/5): Inexpensive little hotel on outskirts of Ubud - Had three nights here in July 2018 with the family. Very much as expected - great value, nice setting on the outskirts of Ubud. Helpful staff. Rooms that open straight onto a good pool area. It’s not high-end 5-star luxury, but it’s a great base from which to explore the area, and a calming place to just chill by the pool and read. Awesome breakfasts, not least the banana pancakes! Recommended at the price we paid.
- Jennifer (6/5): - I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of this hotel. The sheets and towels were stained and did not smell clean. I rented six rooms for five nights and I was extremely embarrassed with the cleanliness and up keep of the rooms. The walls were dirty and the bed frame was chipping away. The doors did not stay closed unless you locked them with the key so one person could not leave without the other person. There were no safes in the room. The water was either hot or cold and the water pressure was horrible. The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. It was near a cute bar and away from the noise of the city center. I would definitely recommend they do a lot of up keep with paint and new sheets and towels.
- CHIH YEN (10/5): -
- Natalia (8/5): Very good! - Lovely place! Pool was clean and full of sun! Cleaning everyday + fresh towels everyday ! Air con worked good as well as tv! Beach 2 min walk! Breakfast was nice especially French toast! Plenty of free coffee! Nice staff!
- Dario (8/5): - Good
- cheryl (6/5): Not the best in Bali - The rooms are clean and newly remodeled. That was the best part of the visit. The wifi was horrible. Shuttle pick up in town never showed up on multiple occasions. They ran out of basic food and beverages. It's also a good 20+ minute walk to town on very narrow roads.
- Nancy (10/5): Nice hotel in middle of rice fields.
- Very close to Ubud. Daily free shuttle schedule very handy or we walked to town in 10-15 minutes. Staff were extremely helpful and curtious. Food was fresh and prepared on site. Very tasty. A sml refrigerator in room would have been nice to keep refreshments cool. Otherwise the rooms were spacious and very clean. Our driver Kumon was fantastic and we did a few excursions with him.
- Diana (10/5): Great Hotel for a convenient price - The hotel was very nice.! The location is perfect, as it's not in the city center but 10min away. It's very quiet. It offers everything you could need: massages (very professional masseur) motorbike rental, excellent breakfast, restaurant. They also organize transportation and tours. They put effort on details and made our stay very pleasant
- Verified traveler (2/5): not a good experience - The hotel was a long way out of Ubud with inconvenient and unreliable transport into town. This meant we had a 30 min walk each way through heavy traffic. The food was terrible ( hard to happen in Bali ). The rooms had no privacy, all facing the path and pool which meant the curtains had to be closed. The bathroom had no place to put toiletries. The staff were distant and unhelpful.
- Matt (8/5): Relaxing - Perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The hotel staff and owners are lovely.
I will definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super hyggeligt hotel. Værelserne, og udendørsområderne er rene og pæne.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel all in all is good. But there are many dogs outside the hotel. Quite scary.
- Gregor (8/5): Quaint hotel, great value - This is a great hotel with lovely rice field walks nearby. My only issue was the noise from the swimming pool generator could be heard from my room, which marred the peaceful ambiance of the hotel somewhat. You need a car or bike to reach the main streets in Ubud.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean hotel - Staff are very helpful here, every guest gets luxury treatment
- Tara (10/5): Wonderful!! - Loved our stay here and extended an extra NT. Service and staff were outstanding and definitely went the extra mile for us. It is a bit outside of the centre of Ubud but they have a shuttle and it IS walkable. A special thanks to Putu for all of his help.
- Charles (10/5): Magnificent In Every Way - The Hotel was magnificent. Breakfast was great, dinner was great, Wi-fi was great staff were very friendly and helpful
- Sebastian (8/5): Nice, very young hotel, enjoyable - The hotel is very new, all facilities are in excellent condition. The location was nice for us as we intended to stay away from the busy parts of Ubud. Ubud center was still in walkable (20min) distance. The entrance to the hotel is a little bit hidden and very narrow. The staff is very nice and helpful, great service!
Unfortunately (for me ^^) the breakfast could have been a little bit more "continental" - toast and butter, but only ham to 'finish it off'. Just 1 or 2 varieties of jam would have already made me happy.
Some minor things that still could be improved to make it a 5/5-rating for me:
- a chair for the room
- a mirror in the bathroom
- 2nd roll of toilet paper ('Bali belly' - you never know, haha)
- Dunja (8/5): Peaceful location, friendly staff, bad wifi - They offer free drop off and pick up to the centre of Ubud, so location is not a problem, but being away from the busy streets of Ubud is great, the hotel is in the middle of rice fields. Relaxed atmosphere and peaceful. The staff is pleasant and helpful, breakfast so-so, the main issue is wifi, which really is not working properly. I would recommend it, but not if you need wifi.
- Jannik (8/5): Quiet rural getaway - We spent two days in the hotel while exploring the Ubud area. Above all, what stands out about the hotel is the friendly and helpful service of the staff. Particularly the owner.
But also the peace and quiet of the place is awesome.
- heng-ya (4/5): - wifi sucks
- Colin (2/5): Terrible - I booked four nights at the below hotel, on arrival there was no free wifi as stated, taxis refuse to go on the excess road to gain enter to the hotel.
Only had one brand of white wine, which was not cold, breakfast was terrible and cold.
One hotel lap top computer was for use, had to wait to use computer, hotel bus drop us in town, was not at the pick up place that was stated, had find taxi and he was not happy about the hotel excess road very unsafe and could cause damage to his vehicle.
We only stayed one night, and was not reimbursed three nights accommodation as we check out on June 18. Only stayed one night
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet hotel in rice paddies - I was the only guest for most of my stay. I really had a lovely stay, the room was brand new and very comfortable, the setting peaceful, the pool clean and very nicely situated. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I liked being away from central Ubud, about 20 minutes walk (I like to walk) or a quick shuttle ride. Overall excellent, and incredibly good value to boot.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A developing gem - Owned by the local farmer co-op, this 4 month old hotel is situated in a quiet area surrounded by rice paddies. The pool is large despite the small number of rooms. When we stayed, there were 7 rooms completed with another 8 nearly finished. Each room has a king size, very comfortable bed with ample space for a couple. Modern bathroom facilities were comfortable, though room safe, tea making facilities and room refrigerator where still on the way. Breakfast is included and has enough diversity to allow choices and the multi courses hearty enough to last the morning what ever your daily pursuits. Staff were abundant and helpful without getting underfoot. We probably underutilized their skills and services as we were happy to walk the twenty minutes into town or organize our own activities, where the hotel staff would happily have taxied us around or tried to ensure a busy program for the day.
- KL (6/5): Short Trip To Ubud - Warm and friendly staff. Facilities are new but some of the rooms are still under construction. Just give suggestions to the staff as they are still learning. The drive going inside the hotel on a very narrow path is a bit of a struggle. Overall, I can go back there again as it is away from hussle and bussle of city life. -KL
