Haarhoff (5/5): Very dated feel of a 60s motel. - The room in isolation from the rest of the hotel was good and comfortable The rest of the hotel, Very dated and very poor design of spaces. Terrible carpets and artificial plastic greenery to screens. Narrow corridors and weird circulation along guest corridors to dining spaces. Cleaning equipment visible in nooks and crannies

The people that work a reception, were very helpful and friendly You could hear everyone walking past the room; a proper fire door would probably reduce the noise. The woman working at breakfast was quite rude. The man helping us, I think his name was Evert, was the opposite and very helpful. Breakfast was very ordinary — everything was available, but it could do with an upgrade to make it look more appetising.”

Steff (5/5): - Perfect location. Lovely balcony over looking the golf course We chose not to have dinner there as seen the reviews were bad. The breakfast was not good at all. Limited selection and not great quality. We had a free upgrade which the room was lovely but it was the attic room, down 3 flights of stairs, outside the hotel, in the hotel and up two flights of stairs to get to breakfast. Which was ok, exercise is good but for those less able wouldn’t have been good. Small lifts available, but not to our room. Our room was very clean, large bright and perfect for us. The location was good for where we needed. Maybe the doors could use something on them to stop them slamming so much, we heard every person use every door in our block, maybe that was just unfortunate but some slow close mechanisms wouldn’t go a miss! We would probably stay again if couldn’t find an alternative as the room was nice and clean but would eat off site completely

Mark (6/5): BOOKED FOR GYM I COULD’NT USE! - Modern property. Gym not open till 9am, no use whatsoever to the business traveler, this should be clearly stated on bookings.com! Waitress on breakfast had face like well smacked backside, scrambled eggs only egg option, I hate scrambled eggs! No fresh fruit, no granola, poor quality coffee.Breakfast well overpriced at £15.00!

Lovely room with patio doors out onto a balcony that I overlooked the golf course. Great breakfast that was freshly cooked. Who could ask for more. Nothing

Louise (5/5): Didn't quite meet our expectations. - Spacious and clean room, friendly staff Room was dated, TV was tiny. Dining room had zero atmosphere and almost silent (no background music etc), very awkward and felt like we couldn't speak without the whole room being able to hear our conversation (we could very clearly hear other peoples from across the room even though people seemed to be talking in hushed tones/whispering). This is no fault of the hotel obviously and nothing they could have done any differently but paid extra for a room with a view over the gold course and the weather was awful and foggy so couldn't see past the balcony, recommend to check the weather if you are going to pay the extra.

The housekeeping was great and very fast and responsive if you needed washing powder etc. Property is situated in Chipping Norton, close to supermarket and great to explore around the area. Room was very stuffy without heating, we had to open the doors to try and cool down the room.

Nice view of golf course Plenty of parking Clean room Wouldn’t call it a spa hotel, very tiny spa room, no wet facilities and hard to find. Poor breakfast (not worth it), no fresh fruit, very basic options, milk frozen and lumpy! Rooms are very basic, even if you upgrade. Simpson (8/5): Nice Stay - Good location for exploring popular areas of the Cotswolds. Plenty of free parking & quick, easy check in. Reception staff were pleasant. We were given a big double room with a little balcony overlooking the golf course, which was a room option we didn't pay for, which was very appreciated. Lovely, comfy big double bed, but pillows a bit lumpy. We ate in the restaurant on our second night, & the area was pleasant enough, but the staff not soo good. We were shown to our table & then sat there for a good 15 minutes before anyone came. My husband actually got up & went to the bar to get some drinks. When a waiter finally came, he questioned if we had booked! We ordered a curry & a burger which was ok, but nothing special, & I think expensive at £22 for one course. I had contemplated a dessert but just waited too long for a waiter.

The room is on the small side and having an old fashioned, worn looking, creaky large wardrobe in the room made the room look even smaller. Adding to that, the light switch for the bathroom is behind this wardrobe. Also the bathroom window opens on to next doors balcony which for health and safety reasons is bad enough but for privacy reasons it's just ridiculous The breakfast was good and all the staff were brilliant. The room is on the small side and having an old fashioned, worn looking, creaky large wardrobe in the room made the room look even smaller. Adding to that, the light switch for the bathroom is behind this wardrobe. camilla (10/5): - Härligt läge ute på landsbygden med underbar utsikt. Stora, fräscha, välplanerade rum, ett av dem med balkong (hade två stycken rum ), ljuvlig säng, otroligt badrum. Bekvämt! Bra med parkering precis utanför. Frukosten riklig och god. Lyxig, modern känsla! Frukostmatsal lite ocharmig, som en skolmatsal, men det är ju av ringa betydelse när utsikten därifrån var härlig.
Emma (5/5): Pain in the neck - The pillows were very hard as was the mattress. It has given my husband a bad back. The was in need of a refurbished. Out dated wardrobes and for what we paid we thought we would have got a mini fridge. Gym very hot in the roof not very enticeling. Free drink for my husbands birthday

Linda (6/5): My husbands job was close by so able to go back and forth. For me I used the treatment and had a wonderful massage proba - Location for a business job. And lovely area to explore Restaurant menu. Seemed confusing. Eg. Substituting hash browns for chip however were charged a further £4.00 as well as vegetables as £4.00. We wound of preferred a price as a whole meal My husband’s steak was another £5 and wasn’t the best cut of meat. All little extra charges all seemed to bump up what appeared a good deal. Food was ok. Staff were very swift and order was served quickly.

Patrick C (7/5): Large hotel with clean rooms and free parking close to Chipping Norton. - Rooms were clean and ready for occupation at 3pm. Booked "standard budget rooms" except for "Junior suite with view" for one of our party - special birthday treat. Good showers. Friendly staff. Large bar area for meeting up. Large buffet breakfast with lots of options (eg poached eggs "made to order"). Large free parking area close to rooms. Junior Suite on second floor - lift only went to first floor, and button had to be "held" for the lift to work. Not good for semi-disabled people.

Sarah (4/5): Budget hotel at best - Location was great, staff friendly It was very dated, didn’t feel clean, our room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke that had tried to be hidden by an overwhelming spray of some kind. Outside doors didn’t close properly. We left without sleeping over in the end
Mark (6/5): A good place to stay if you enjoy golf and small rooms - Parking close to accommodation The room was very small and dark, small windows, staff had to refer most questions to management, not advise that they had several noisy parties when we stayed. Spa treatments extra at weekends

Tam (9/5): Spacious, clean and comfortable room - Spacious, modern and clean room, beds were very comfortable, easy parking. Check in and out was very quick. Coffee and tea were provided. A mini fridge in the room would have been nice. Breakfast was not included.
Lee (10/5): Great value for money. Very friendly - Great location with a huge car park. Nice food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Amazing views from the patio in the room.
