Personalen hade inte koll på vilket rum vi skulle ha och det gjorde att vi fick byta rum på morgonen efter ankomst. Transporten från flygplatsen fungerade inte och detta pga att meddelanden inte lästes. Allt på frukostmenyn fanns inte. Servicenivån motsvarar inte prisnivån.

- Jon Howard (1/5): Lovely hotel let go to waste by poor management & lack of investment - The week’s stay has provided me with enough “disaster stories” to dine out for a lifetime! When the challenges of staying there began to bite (literally, this is the Caribbean after all) I vowed to keep my cool, and managed to do so until checking out with my major problem (a double charge to my credit card of my £1200 stay) was doubted for the nth time by different members of staff. Wi-Fi was v poor, but they gave us a booster from one of the cottages, which worked adequately other than calls. Being double charged; fortunately I check upcoming payments each night, and at 20.46 on the 4th evening a similar dollar charge to what I had paid on check in appeared under the hotel’s moniker! It used the same reference so my CC provider said they would refund: albeit after it cleared 2 days later: I had to cover my current account from Savings whilst it’s being returned! Hotel say they cannot find evidence of initiating it, so either they are totally disorganised or they are being hacked. Dated fittings, no other guests - spooky!

- 753arianned (10/5): An Unforgettable Graduation Experience - An Unforgettable Graduation Venue Mt Irvine Hotel was the perfect setting for our school’s graduation. The ambiance on arrival was simply breathtaking, and the layout of the hall created a warm, intimate feel, like a family gathering, while still offering enough space for a photo booth area. The food was outstanding, easily the best I’ve had at any graduation and the staff were the highlight. Their warmth and attentiveness added the perfect finishing touch to a truly memorable evening. Highly recommended

- Anu (2/5): - This was the most terrible stay , -100, will never stay here again or recommend to anyone. Beautiful property but the staff was not properly trained and the area is not maintained. There were problems with water and electricity, the WiFi and tv in the rooms do not work even though it was complained about to the manager, we were never offered another room or compensated. The housekeeper is the best thing about the property, she was very kind, cordial and very helpful.

- M5408KHjuliam (10/5): Heaven on Earth! - We recently attended a wedding here and it was incredible! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Marcel creates such a welcoming environment, he makes you feel like Mt. Irvine is your home. The breakfast buffet was delicious (kudos to the terrific omelette chef!) The activities that were planned (glass bottom boat tour, the welcome party and the beach wedding) were all next level! There were so many personal touches that made this an epic, once in a lifetime experience. If I were planning a wedding- I would replicate every single detail because Mt. Irvine Bay Resort went so far above and beyond! Thank you for everything, we will never forget your gracious hospitality!
- Lawrence (2/5): - Employees have an attitude, Wi-Fi works in the lobby, intermittently in the room, and never in the restaurant. Water pressure issues in the shower. Room was clean but had an odor. Mattress needs to be replaced. TV didn't work "weak signal." Half the items on the restaurant menu were not available. Very few guests. Not returning to this hotel.
- G6545PVvickys (6/5): Read the reviews before booking.. the website is misleading - This hotel has the potential to be great and I think it once was, it needs a great deal of investment to get it back to that standard. The website is seriously out of date, there is no golf course and when we were there I it was so quiet it was like a ghost hotel. The staff were helpful and attentive but the menu was poor and lacking in choices and availability, particularly in the evenings. The restaurant was often deserted too. Our room was acceptable but tired and dated, although very clean. The beach is lovely and was the highlight of this trip. The grounds are full of empty rundown cottages that are no longer safe to use. Tobago is a beautiful island with lovely friendly people but this hotel was sadly lacking and a big disappointment.
- indarjits2016 (4/5): Resort it is not!! - We were in Tobago for one night on a business trip, and the review by a YouTuber convinced us that the resort was worth the money. Our flight over from Trinidad was delayed and as such we arrived at the hotel at approximately 5:00 pm. Check-in was straightforward, but when we were taken to our assigned room, the drama began. The room was not ready, and the attendant( the same person who checked us in) quickly shut the door and said it's not ready. A foul scent hit us at the same time. We were then given an upgrade of sorts with an ocean view and a king bed. Towels had to be brought in, and they were pretty worn as well. The bedding was fresh and clean..a plus there. This room also had an odor that eventually improved as the AC kicked in. Coffee station in the room was lacking, one one pack of sugar and no creamer. At around 7:30 pm we headed down to the Sugar Mill Restaurant for dinner but with only 3 items available on the entire menu we promptly left for Crown Point and the Brown Cow.(A favorite of ours). The next morning, breakfast was adequate, and on looking at the hotel grounds, one could see that it was once a beautiful one. I remember it being so when I was a boy about 50 years ago. The golf course has been closed now for over 4 years. What a missed opportunity here. It's a shame that the owners try to sell this as a resort...I can only imagine how disappointing it must be for our foreign visitors.

- Escape66986425786 (2/5): Noisy music on Easter Sunday from the Beach Bar staff. - The Beach Bar staff were blasting music on Easter Sunday disturbing people’s peace and enjoyment of the PUBLIC beach. I have asked them to turn it down twice now and they just turn it back up. I won’t be staying for lunch now. They are obviously pleasing themselves instead of their patrons…. And they don’t own the beach
- stephensg1 (10/5): First time in the Caribbean - Just coming to the last 24 hours of our stay here at Mount Irvine. We have had an excellent stay. I was a little worried having read reviews having booked through BA Holidays. Yes the resort is 50 plus years and is a little frayed around the edges. Like most places we visited and people we spoke to there has been a lot of struggles since Covid. The staff, man or woman were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautifully cleaned every day, fresh towels provided together with two bottles of water. It was very quiet, no more than a handful of guests each night, it was like having a private pool with butler service. If you want a lively resort it is probably not the place for you at the moment. If you want peace and tranquility, don’t mind a bit of walking(taxis can be easily arranged by reception). We did a tour of the island, arranged through Sunshine Tours who also provided transfers to and from the airport. All in all an excellent at a very reasonable price for a Caribbean Experience.

- malcolmbF1077EY (10/5): Extremely enjoyable stay! - We stayed at MIBR from Feb.01 to 05 to celebrate my Feb.04 birthday. We found the staff to be extremely warm & friendly. Breakfast was included in our room rate, which was consistently a tasty and sumptuous experience. Our room was comfortable and well appointed with an ocean view that displayed exquisite sun sets. We will be returning!

- Sharla1234 (8/5): A cry for improvement ! - I moved to the states in 1990 but Tobago is dear to my heart; a quaint and beautiful island . Lots of beautiful child hood memories there. My brother held his rehearsal dinner party by the pool and a beach wedding at your resort in 2022. The wedding was beautiful and the food was great . The service was also great , however , your employees complained that they weren't getting paid on time , I read a recent review and apparently these complaints are still being mentioned to the recent guests. You get 4 stars for your beautiful location , scenery and the fact that you pulled off a beautiful wedding for my brother and his wife . Most of our guests stayed on your resort . Some bad experiences : mosquito invasion in some rooms, broken toilets , shower heads , broken AC's no TV or WiFi in some rooms, key cards not working to enter the rooms . I ran up and down that hill from my cottage to reception area to get my room key reactivated maybe 20 times in a 3 day stay . These are really simple things that you need to fix NOW! Your rooms are still expensive and these are basic necessities, it's not fair that guests are taking time away from work and life , coming from far and having these issues . I would like to book my mom's 70th birthday party at your resort in August 2025. I would like to give this resort another chance because it is a beautiful place . We will be booking at least 10 rooms for about a 3 night stay . Can someone give me a guarantee that everything will be working in the room? The owner needs to reach out to me !
- DayTrip31745036466 (10/5): Fantastic Resort! - What a gem! This was our first visit to Tobago, having previously visited Barbados and Mexico. Mount Irvine Bay Resort was exactly what we wanted. It is spacious, with modern rooms and a stunning little beach. There were few guests about, which was a welcome change from the crowded all-inclusives we've stayed in elsewhere. The staff were lovely and told us all about the history of the resort - apparently it used to be a sugar plantation. I had a relaxing massage at the spa and was interested to learn that the spa building was the former sugar factory. I cannot praise the breakfast staff enough. They got to know us over the seven days we stayed there and kept a table especially for us. Thank you Dornette! We loved the historic feel of the place and the attentive staff. And the location was convenient for visiting other beaches and points of interest. We hope to go back to Tobago again.
- AriesaDq (8/5): Highly Recommend - My husband and I recently stayed at Mount Irvine Bay Resort while attending a wedding in Tobago. I was pleasantly surprised by how well appointed the room was and how helpful the staff were. We had issues with our hire car (not booked through the hotel) and the reception staff bent over backwards to organise transport for us to and from the wedding. We had lunch at the hotel's 1763 Restaurant on the beach and it was absolutely fabulous - delicious, wonderful presentation, and lovely staff. We'll definitely stay there again
- manjo33 (2/5): Four star run on a two star budget sorry it's long - Where to start well firstly if you read our other reviews you will see we very rarely complain . So lets begin myself and my wife booked this resort through British airways and was advertised as a 4/5* hotel with rooms ranging from standard, superior and executive we opted for the superior as we wanted to treat ourselves after a horrendous year,they also stated swim up pool bar and other bars open at different times throughout the day so we thought this is the p!ace for us. We arrived during a thunder storm and were soaked and very tired no one can help the weather but a hand towel and a drink waiting would have been nice nothing but the receptionist giving us our room key and I forming us we could not use the pool for two days as they were having a wedding fair and if we wished to join in it would cost 200ttds each about 25quid each ...we were then taken to our room which was on the upper floors as my wife has mobility problems we booked a ground floor room as she could not manage the stairs( no lifts ) fair enough to them they found a ground floor room but it was standard bed dressing table and a wardrobe no walk in shower ,We did tell them we had booked and paid for a superior room. We then decide to have a bite to eat before bed we went to the restaurant were there was just one other couple ,we asked for the menu and were told they did not have one and the choices were either grilled chicken breast or catch of the day both served with potatoes and veg , I had the fish which was supposed to be king fish and my wife had chicken 1 beer and 2 bottles of water the fish was just okay nothing special and the chicken dish was inedible overcooked and tasteless and at a cost of 56 pounds . To tired to argue we went to bed the wedding fair went very well and we attended for free after a discussion with management. The problems really started on the Sunday when we went to the pool after breakfast enjoying the sun and relaxing reading by the pool .. It was now about 1130 am and we fancied a drink not alcohol just a coke or sprite or water anyway no bar staff so went to reception when stated someone would be with us shortly .A staff member turned up my wife being polite said good morning what's your name as you do when on holiday ..he was obviously not happy at being asked to work ...he snapped at my wife in a raised voice stated that names were irrelevant so what do you want.At this I told him to go away we wanted nothing from him and not to speak to my wife like that again.After this encounter we decided to go to the beach for the rest of the day so we went to Pigeon point excellent beach and services although you have to pay entrance fee and for the sunbeds and umbrellas after a great day we headed back to the hotel for a shower and change for evening meal . My wife went for a shower 1 st only to find that the water had been turned off on asking reception we were informed that they had to ration the water due to a problem with the local water company ..I told them this was not acceptable and was a health and hygiene issue if I cannot wash my hands after using the toilet then what are the staff doing ..we then received l note stating times water would be avai!able through the day. This was the last straw so my wife called B.A explained the situation and could they have us moved to another hotel..they said they would call us back which they did within the hour and said they had tried to contact the hotel but no one was picking up so they had called around hotels in the area who use the same water main and no other hotel had any problems .They offered us 2 different hotels and we chose the La grand Courlan and were move within 1hr . On waiting for our taxi other guests had heard me complaining and were now also complaining about the water staffing and bedding not being changed in over a week..we later found out 3 other couples had been moved ...on the whole the experience was not good although the majority of staff we met were fantastic this review could go on as there was so much more .We did give management the opportunity to rectify these problems but no real effort was made .End of rant sorry it was so long
- 303deniess (4/5): Would not classify as a resort - The resort itself has alot of potential. Meaning the look and feel initially is good. We had a short stay. The lock to room even though it worked it had a wire hanging out of it and the lights to bathroom had some sort of short. Even after reporting the issues staff took no steps to fix anything. The restaurant was a bad experience as they did not have a lot of items on menu. For example no salad, ran out of orange juice. Also we wanted 4 hamburgers but they only had 2. I would say the staff was courteous and did their best so think issue is with management as they are responsible for ensuring property is in good standing and food on menu is available. I will not recommend this as a good place to stay unless they fix issues as mentioned above.
- richardO9084AZ (4/5): British Airways pay attention - We booked this holiday through British Airways (in their sale). We were very disappointed with the place. The golf course (one of the reasons we went) had been closed for 4 years !!. The hotel in general was quite rundown. The cottages in the grounds were very dilapidated and overgrown with bushes, many with broken or missing windows and inside ( my friend thought she would have a nose about ) the sinks were smashed off the wall and doors missing. All the facilities were not open or very understaffed. At 1 point my friend and myself were the only people staying at the hotel. It also transpired that many of the staff had not been paid for some time. I must admit the staff in general were very good (especially under the circumstances) Iam not sure BA had done due diligence checks here for some time. I'm sure they would not want to be associated with a company that does not pay their workers wages !! (especially in these days of anti slavery laws etc) also advertising things that were indeed untrue (golf course) It seemed the only place food was available (other than at breakfast time) was at the beach bar, which again was staffed with very helpful and friendly staff. On our second day we went to the beach bar for lunch, but were told there wasn't any food to sell as it was catering for a private function !!! On another point 4 days before we were due to go home, it seems the water had been cut off ! each time we wanted to shower, go to the loo etc we had to go to the reception and ask them to turn our water supply on, which they did for about 15 minutes then it went off !! When you google the hotel and its past, it would seem it was a very popular place and many events and films were made there. Its a shame because in its heyday it must have been lovely. Perhaps another victim of the "pandemic" of 2020

- melissa0577 (8/5): Nice, and very, very quiet - Stayed for a week 20-27 September. Great staff. The hotel was basically empty, and this really impacted the week. It was a good job that we were there with friends and could get out and about. The hotel bar was never open. The pool bar was open, and staffed by Joel, who was fantastic. The pool was great, huge and a good temperature. Breakfast was nice. Had lunch a few times. Unsure if the restaurant was open in the evening as never went. Beach that was for the hotel was nice, but the restaurant down there only had 2 things on the food menu available. Its such a shame this hotel is essentially going to waste with so few visitors (apart from weddings/events) as it needs more people. The beds were comfy. The furniture in the room badly needs upgrading as they are old and stiff. The TV didn't work. The Wi-Fi is simply not strong enough to reach the rooms, pool or restaurant. Our friend got a booster box, but it still didn't reach our room. When I went to ask, it was the only box in the whole hotel - we were left without unless we sat in reception. The fridge in the refurbed room is way too small. Air con was excellent. You 100% need a car to get anywhere from this hotel unless you enjoy walks of over 30 mins to get to somewhere busy. There is an air of sadness for me at this hotel, it has great history and deserves to be stand out. I did visit 3 other hotels which were the same - lacking people!! Tobago prices - not much different to London really for cocktails and some food. Pigeon Point is an absolute MUST if you do go.
- NorthStar3245137 (10/5): Beautiful experience provided by staff - Overall the experience was good value for money. If we had not had such a great deal from BA it would be 4/5. We stay in lots of fantastic resorts and hotels, but they often lack any heart or soul. I can honestly say we'll always remember the staff at this hotel. They are a big part of our positive experience. Reception, were always there, going above and beyond tp make sure we enjoyed our stay. Catering staff were excellent and housekeeping are on fire! Breakfast was outstanding and the breakfast area was gorgeous. The hotel pool was always lovely and quiet. The proximity to a beautiful beach and beach bar as well as other local amnefies couldn't be more perfect. We benefitted from an upgraded room. Looking at other hotels these rooms seem to be the best. This is only to help and not a criticism but it would be great to get more of a caribbean vibe. Having background music in reception and public areas would be nice. A small rum punch on arrival, maybe some nice local flowers on reception would make a better entrance. In the room, a TV that works would be good. Wifi is patchy. A nespresso machine in upgraded rooms would be nice. More coffee creamer and nicer cups would be a small improvement. Coffee at breakfast needs to be better. Paint the hotel! The colours are a bit depressing. Maybe get a local artist to paint onto the cottages, giving each room some personality. Give these rooms names associated with the island or the area's history. The pool area could do with some updating. Nicer pool furniture, swing chairs. Turn the shaded seating areas into cabanas maybe. Encourahe people to hang out and spend money! Grounds are beautiful but the fabric of the hotel reminds of hotels I stayed in, in the early 80s in SE Asia....that have all moved on now or don't exist. We'll definitely be back- thanks so much.
- Explorer13979875749 (10/5): Best hotel resort in Tobago - From the time we arrived and throughout our stay, we were treated by the most courteous and friendly staff. The food was excellent, well prepared with fresh produce. The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. The resort has it's own access to the beach complete with dech chairs, umbrellas and a well stocked beach bar. This is is first time I have stayed here and comes highly recommended for families or couples . Will definitely book to stay here again for my holidays on 2025. Lx 💜
- Companion10384992592 (10/5): Amazing Beach and Resort - The Mt Irvine Resort was a great treat for our family. The beach was literally a 5 minute walk from the hotel and my 8 year old and I were able to enjoy viewing tropical fish and coral up close. The fish fry and bonfire was a fun event and the food was delicious. The hotel itself was great because we got to swim in the pool and use the swim up bar for pina coladas and shirley temples. The staff got us anything we needed like extra towels. It was also located near a lot of great restaurants so we had many options for eating every day.
- M5299NKchristopherc (10/5): I’ll definitely be back! - Within minutes from the airport, you arrive to be greeted by the therapeutic pond, lush green trees and the most pleasant staff. Check in was a breeze and we were helped to our room by a very pleasant gentleman who made sure to give us some background on the historic grounds the hotel lay on. The room was equipped with all the amenities you can expect to need and the wife sure loved the coffee station in our room. The hotel ground provided a great opportunity for sunset family walks under the decades old trees. My two year old surely got the better of us on these walks lol The large pool with poolside bar provided the true “vacation feel” and the scenic Mt Irvine private beach embraced you with its pristine white sands and crystal clear waters. All in all great experience and I’d definitely recommend it for all!
- Gaitrie (6/5): - The resort is very expansive and has a nice cool and relaxing atmosphere to it. Some of the cottages appear a little run down but the grounds are well taken care of and the plants well manicured. The pool is huge and the depth good enough for swimming and relaxing. For the dates we stayed at the resort, I believe we were the only guests. Some areas are poorly lit in the night making the walk to the rooms a little eerie. The beds in our initial room were not very comfortable. The staff did well to respond to our concern and provided us with an upgraded room although the beds were only slightly improved. Special mention to Anishka (I believe that's her name) at front desk who attended to our every need, and to Dion as well. The bartender, Joel, at the swim up bar was very attentive and friendly. We took the b/fast, lunch and dinner package and the meals were sufficient. Lunch at the 1763 restaurant was great and the staff very friendly. To get to this resort and move around easily it is recommended to rent a vehicle.

- kelseyf961 (10/5): Lovely, quiet resort - We just returned from a work trip at Mount Irvine and it was a quiet, lovely spot. The beach is beautiful, clean and all sand. Nice chairs and umbrellas at the beach and pool. Good food and lovely staff. Joel at the pool bar was so friendly, attentive and went above and beyond. He made our stay extra special! You can tell they’re making updates here and there throughout the resort which will be great. But if you’re going for a relaxing, quiet stay then I highly recommend.

The chef was happy to cook special requests during our stay making us feel very special. We happened to be at the resort when the monthly fish fry was held on the beach in the evening with a wonderful bonfire and music. Cocktails at the beach or pool were excellent and non stop. Special thanks goes to the staff and management for making our stay most enjoyable.

Irvine Bay Resort’s efforts at communicating the issues with the water service interruptions, and their frequent personal check-ins to see if we had any concerns. We also appreciated the invitation to the Management Cocktail hour and their attempt to get to know us on a personal level and another opportunity to address concerns. We were extremely impressed with the young and smart management team we interacted with. We believe that they will bring new and innovative ideas by “thinking outside the box” and make the resort a success, if given the opportunity. The Mt Irvine Bay Resort team were also very responsive to my questions via chat prior to our trip. However, I wish there was better communication and transparency about the operations of transportation to and from the airport and the Spa services that are provided on the property. In communicating with the hotel, I was told via chat that “the service charge will be applied to your resort account for payment prior to your checkout.” But, this was not the case as the taxi fee turned out to be a cash transaction between ourselves and the driver. And, when I inquired about Spa services, it also turned out to be a cash transaction because it was separate from the resort. All in all, we enjoyed the warmth of the Mt. Irvine Bay Resort team and their commitment to making our stay as enjoyable as possible.

The are doing some renovations on some of the rooms so we did hear an occasional drilling or hammer but once you are in the room you hear notting. Room we got was pretty and had a modern feel but stepping out on the balcony you feel like you are in nature. Beach was a 5-10min walk and you have to cross the road. We went to a fish fry even on the beach hosted by the hotel on the beach and it was really good, food and bon fire was exciting. We did not use the pool and much other amenities but the free breakfast on a morning was great and enough to start your days on the right foot.

We did not have any Wi-Fi, no TV, no bartender at dinner, A very limited bar at the “swim up bar”, no one was available at the so-called spa anytime we went, there were no wash cloths on the property, they did not have fresh towels when we were leaving to go to the beach. The price does not justify what you are provided, very disappointed in this location and it was a very disappointing time for myself and a party of nine which included an 80 year old woman and they placed our room at least a mile away from the front desk and we were not provided a wheelchair or any assistance to get her around the grounds until the last day. The general manager has alleged to provide some compensation towards our stay, and I am currently still awaiting this. Two stars at best and that is just because the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

No concierge, pool hours closing at six. No communication as far as dinner times, Or other activities at the facility. The staff was overall very friendly. I thought it was expensive for the amenities and services provided. Free breakfast and free transportation to and from the airport was a plus beardie was wonderful enjoyed the education about Tobago!

The pool was full of debris and floating bugs. The staff mentioned someone would come but never did. The staff was friendly, from the receptionist to the bartender. We also had to pay extra to check in around noon, which was $40.00 per room. Also, another guest, we overcharged for 2 cups of soup, which equaled 90.00 US. A ripoff. If you want decent rooms, please go somewhere else. Our driver mentioned the hotel was in excellent shape and robust when his mother worked there. It seems to have gone way downhill. I will say they did provide us complimentary transportation to the airport, which was great.

When we provided the feedback will departing, we were told that we could have requested the additional mattress top for the bed. This I found extremely disappointing and shocking as I have never had to request this as an additional option in any of the several hotels I have stayed at. This is poor and needs to be improved.

- Lars (4/5): Very disappointing - I've stayed here several times, and the hotel - for Tobago - was always, in my opinion, pretty good. Decent breakfast and pleasant pool area. This is still true, but the cottage room (102) I paid extra for this time around was not good. The general impression was old and tired and run down. Beds were terrible, with pillows as hard as bricks. No aircon in the sitting area, so that was too hot to use, nor in the bathroom, which had lighbulbs heating that up to sauna levels. The aircon in the room was either on at full blast or didn't work - and it was really noisy. The TV was unwatchable, not sure for what reason but the image was completely washed out. Hot water pressure in the shower was a trickle at best. Breakfast is still decent but handled really inefficiently, leading to unnecessary queues, and the servers constantly forgetting the order, having to be reminded - something they don't take very well, making you as a guest feeling guilty for reminding them you ordered toast or coffee without it appearing. Never enough pool towels (which is ridiculous, going to ask and being told I'll have to wait an hr for them to clean them is just mindboggling). Beach is closing at 6, but they take the sunbed from under you at 5.25, also pretty ridiculous. The hotel give an impression of tired and run down, badly in need of upgrading.

- RSL (4/5): - The pool was really nice. Airport transfers aren't available but the taxi we asked the hotel to arrange for us was at the airport waiting for us as we requested. The buffet on our first night was really poor quality for the price tag. Only buffet was available and given the location of the hotel, going outside the hotel was impossible w/out a car. We requested an early check in and communicated our arrival time but we had to wait almost an hour for our room and we only got access to it when I called a Snr member of staff on her cell. When we got to the room (Cottage) the key card did not work so we had to wait outside the door for them to get a master key to open it. Because of Covid restrictions, they did not take our luggage in, which we understood, but when we complained that the cable wasn't working, the person who came to deal with it, walked straight in the room with his boots to attend to the problem, covid restrictions didn't seem to apply then. The phone in the room also did not work, apparently a TSTT issue but we only knew when we picked up the phone to call Concierge; so we had to walk to the front of the property every time we needed something - the cottage rooms are further away from the property than the regular rooms. Housekeeping had to be called to take away/wash dirty dishes although garbage had been emptied when we were out. Insufficient towels, bathroom tissue etc was replenished in the bathroom although housekeeping was done on 2 occasions.

- Rhonda (6/5): Surprised by the child charges - It had a great view and the desk person was helpful and welcoming. But the room was not that updated and the surprise $25 per child per night expense was a big difference in the price I had already paid online to hotels.com. I wasn’t expecting the room to be $200 plus a night after adding the children. They didn’t give us a bigger room or anything so I’m confused what the extra $75 a night was for! The rooms were not that up to date and there were no fridge or microwaves in the rooms. There was a brush fire nearby and the whole room and pool area smelled of smoke. Overall I wouldn’t go back and we are already looking for an alternative place to stay when we return in December.

- JC (2/5): - I specifically had on my reservation a pool room view which I booked months in advance and even corresponded with the “resort.”. The manager said they could not accommodate me, there would be no compensation AND said that if I left, I would not get a refund! Outside of my room was disgusting with a dirty stain. my bathtub had a big dirty ring on the base of the tub and they said it was a stain, they ran out of wash cloths so I had none, the towels were dingy and frayed, the hotel food was HORRIBLE, even the bartender couldn’t identify their version on crab and dumplings which took over an hour to get. The pool was nice, but when I asked about how often it was tested on a daily basis, no one had an answer! If you are from the US, NYC, this is NOT a resort. One step from glamping to me. The breakfast was okay, but there were bugs all over the pineapples and a few guests like myself were horrified. I also had to fight off the birds who were like vultures looking for food at your table. I would NEVER return here, AND I left early because I had had enough. College kids, ok, but not discriminating adults!
- David (6/5): - Rooms ok but in need of modernisation. Breakfast quality was poor other than the eggs. Tables not completed prepared and service slo. You had to work hard to get what you wanted. The exception to this was the egg lady who was friendly and efficient. Also the customer relations lady was helpful, friendly and proactive. We enjoyed the management drinks evening. Staff at reception helpful but managed to mix up the room bills and despite asking for a reconciliation by email, I have yet to receive one. Beach was very good.
- Highly (8/5): - Love the scenery,and the ambiance,but the standard rooms need to be upgraded,but overall it’s a lovely place to vacation with kids or just as a couple or by yourself Love the welcoming complimentary Drink which was offered to US.The staff was pleasant,especially the young lady I meet,cant remember her name,but was on duty between 23,24 from 3-11pm and have three kids,but looks like,she just finished High school.well done.keep up the great customer service,was very helpful and helpful in meeting our needs

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel has an old school look which is its charm. The common areas feel cozy with the dark wood decor yet the openness of the dining veranda and lounge areas maximize the flow of ocean breezes. Combined with the friendly, helpful staff, you can’t help but relax.
