Rien
- ante (10/5): - Hosts were very kind and were helping us with everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing.Rooms were clean and sheets were changed on daily basis.
- Fabrizio (10/5): Perfect place to stay for local warm welcome -
- Ewan (10/5): Great place to stay. Would be back soon - Gaia the owner was great from when we first arrived, explained the area and showed us around the amazing property. Nothing
- Julie (10/5): -
RAS

- Jelle (10/5): A paradise of peace and quiet in a bustling city - We had a wonderful stay at riad La Villa Marrakech.
Everything was perfect (the riad itself, the room, the location, the breakfast (on the photo just part 1 of 4), the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness, the jacuzzi and the pool).
It was a haven of peace despite the proximity of the busy city.
I want to thank everyone from riad La Villa Marrakech and especially Yassine and Meryem, for the excellent welcome, the great care and the breakfast. The only minor point to mention is that the riad wasn't easy to find when we arrived.
It might be a good idea to add a photo of the door and the and the sign with the abbreviation LVM next to the door.
- Julien (10/5): -
- Hugh (10/5): - Perfect stay - The staff were great, the facilities were perfect and Gaia the host was so accommodating. I cannot recommend this riad enough, the location was also perfect.
Having the breakfast each morning was lovely. Also, having the pool and rooftop to relax upon was a treat.
Thank you again !
Mulighed for at spise.
- Alister (9/5): Peaceful, tradtional Riad - Traditional Riad with good Moroccan vibe. Gaia was very helpful with good tips on the local area. Hassin & the ladies work hard to keep the place clean & to feed everyone well. The rooftop jacuzzi was great after a day's walking in the Medina. Perfect location as it was peaceful but close enough to everything. Our room was small, especially the toilet, but it had pretty much everything we needed. Loved the traditional style and the shutters are great.
- Kacper (10/5): - I highly recommend this riad. The staff and owner are very very helpful, and there are many amenities inside. We felt well taken care of. It is clean and well maintained. Everything is close by (7-15 minutes by walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa and other touristic destinations), both the city center and nearby restaurants. At the same time, it is very quiet, so you can relax. The rooms have everything you need and are very pleasant with a bathtub. It was a pleasant stay.
- Wim (10/5): Absolute topper!! - De jacuzzi en de hamam. De grootte van de kamer. Het zwembad, het zonneterras... Totaal niets...
- John (10/5): A jewel in Marrakesh! - Our stay at La Villa Marrakech was simply amazing. Located in the kasbah it's away from all the chaos but still just a 15 minute stroll from the center of the Medina. The Riad is so unique, the decor and layout gives a real sense of calm, we couldn't believe how quiet it was. Gaia was the perfect host, on our first morning she gave us a brief explanation of the interesting things to see, was always available and can help with any excursions. As we stayed a week, the highlight was the relaxing area on the rooftop and the amazing cool swimming pool, Bliss after a day in the heat of the Medina. If/when we return to marrakech I'm not going to look for anywhere else as I don't think I'll find anywhere more enjoyable as this. (The food was excellent also!) Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Cailam (10/5): Riad La Villa Marrakech, an obvious choice! - Where to begin? It would be easier to say what I didn't like as the list of things is so small it can only be married down to one thing - that we couldn't stay longer. Everything from the cleanliness of the Riad, to the amazing owners Gaia and Philip, the wonderful Max the tortoise and Zuzu the cat, the impeccable staff including Myriem and Hassin, who were so attentive and helpful to get us anything and everything we needed. The quiet and calm retreat into our Riad from the bustling city streets of the Kasbah was peace on earth. We had the entirety of the building to ourselves and it felt like such a secure and safe place to rest our heads at the end of a long day. As I mentioned, Gaia and her husband Philip greeted us on our first morning in the Riad, sat alongside us at breakfast and introduced themselves, spoke about the city, about us and overall just gave us insight into how best to navigate Marrakech. Hassin who although spoke little English, was at our beck and call at the drop of a hat if we needed him, super friendly, utterly attentive and always with a smile on his face. The Riad was spotless, from our rooms which were tended to everyday by Myriem and another lady I cannot quite remember the name of, to the halls outside our room and the rooftop terrace, there wasn't even a grain of dirt or dust. As two people coming from Ireland, we struggled immensely with the heat, but to be able to retire to the pool in the courtyard of our riad into perfectly cool water was a joyous experience. The rooftop terrace itself could be commended, overlooking a nice section of the Kasbah and a suntrap in the truest sense, you had beds with towels, hats and umbrellas for shelter from the blistering sun (and sometimes torrential downpour) to relax and enjoy. A jacuzzi was also atop the terrace although the heat prevented up from enjoying it during our stay. One small hindrance was WiFi dropping on rooftop terrace near jacuzzi but otherwise nothing to bother us.
- Justino (10/5): Wonderful! It seemed like a once in a lifetime trip...but I am already planning to go again! :-) - The breakfast was fantastic! I am vegan and Meryam, the chef made traditional Moroccan pancakes (Beghrir, which are naturally without dairy or eggs) every morning. She also veganised the recipe for another local type of pancake (Msemen) so that I could indulge in those, as well. She went out of her way to provide almond milk for my coffee, too. In addition, every morning, a platter of various fruits (different each day) was served. Traditional bread was always on offer and, for my non-vegan husband, yogurt and eggs, prepared to his preference. Wonderful!
The riyad was beautiful, with luxurious rooms, a calming pool in the courtyard, bougainvillea spilling over from each level, beautiful architecture and lovely details in each room; I actually shopped in the souk for woven waste bins and baskets in which to store toilet paper, so that I could enjoy some of these features once at home. We were wanting for nothing; Even cotton discs were provided. In addition, the room was spotless and well maintained. The riyad has its own, gorgeous hammam, which can be used by couples, unlike the public ones, which are divided by gender. We had a fantastic steam, exfoliating scrub and then went up to the massage area on the roof top for a massage, which I highly recommend. The three members of staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and the owner, Gaia, was terrific, too. She was really supportive and available for advice as well as providing assistance in arranging tours to the desert and so on. The location was very good; we could walk to the souk and to many of the fabulous restaurants we enjoyed. The neighbourhood was very safe and, as Gaia pointed out, really benefits for being between the two royal palaces. If I were to be picky, I would have liked the bed to creak less and the mattress to be a little less firm.
- David (8/5): Neat and tidy, peaceful and considerate staff / owners - Terrace and pool area Occasional road noise
- Kate (10/5): Heated pool in luxurious riad - Amazing Riad with 5 rooms about a 20 min walk from Jemma El Fna square. Lovely large heated pool in the courtyard which we enjoyed using. Next to the pool is the dining room and a lounge area. Delicious breakfast was included which was slightly different each day we were there. Breakfast included Berber pancakes (like a large thin crumpet), fruit, yoghurt, and eggs (on request). We also paid for a three course meal there one night which was delicious. We had to order it in the morning.
Beautiful roof terrace with Jacuzzi and plenty of sofas and beds to lounge on and soak up the atmosphere. Staff were so kind and helpful. We used their airport pick up service which made our lives much easier. We traveled with our 9 month old and the riad had a travel cot set up for us as well as a high chair.
I had a hamam and massage which was amazing. The hamam was downstairs, and was big enough for two people and then I made my way to a lovely tranquil room off the roof terrace for the massage.
The owner is a lovely French lady (also fluent in English) who was happy to advise on tourism attractions. There is also a pet tortoise and pet cat who was very friendly.
We went back to Marrakech later in our Morocco trip and had to stay in a different riad as this one wasn't available, and it highlighted to us just how fantastic Riad La Villa Marrakech actually was.
Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again. I can't think of anything this riad needs to do to improve!
- Nigina (10/5): Amazing riad with a wonderful host, highly recommend! - This is an excellent riad. It is located in the Medina, but away from the most packed and chaotic areas. It’s 20 min away on foot from the Koutobia mosque, very convenient. The room is very large with a bath and all the amenities, and a Very comfortable bed. The riad has a lovely rooftop terrace, and serves a nice breakfast - they mix it up day to day, but always have eggs, yoghurt and fruits, and some
Moroccan pastries. Gaia, the owner really made our stay exceptional. She gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and was very helpful with tips! I highly recommend and would book again if back in Marrakech! The only slight negative (which did not in any way impact our stay) was that the water pressure in the shower and sink in the mornings took a minute or two to be at the needed level.
- Michael (10/5): Beautiful small riad in historic neighborhood -
- Justin (10/5): Book this one - you won't be disappointed! - Gaia and her team are fantastic hosts. Lovely accommodation. Clean (including the pools) comfortable - perfect. We loved our room. It was quiet compared to much of the old city so really highly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble and Gaia took a lot of time explaining the area, best trips to go on, taxi transfers etc... She speaks a number of languages including perfect English.
Lovely breakfasts, recommend the omelettes. There are bed toppers on all of the beds. I see from other hotel reviews in Marrakesh that this is recommended because locals prefer very firm beds.
We've returned feeling like we've had a proper holiday, relaxed and refreshed. Thank you all for going that extra mile for us!
- Seung (9/5): Superb -
- Eimear (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful Riad with heated pool and fantastic roof terrace with hot tub. The staff are so hospitable and kind. Gaia organised excellent trips for us and allowed us a late check out at no extra charge. Highly recommend a stay here!
- Carmen (8/5): Very good - good and plenty of things
- David (9/5): Great - Very good breakfast Nothing
- Rosie (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Very relaxing and beautiful Riad, everyone was also very helpful and pleasant
- Julia (9/5): Superb - This riad is an oasis in the middle of the city. It's beautiful with many plants, many details, a heated pool and very nice rooftop with a warm jacuzzi and sun lounges.
The room was very comfortable, but a little small with 2 pieces of luggage. The breakfast was very good. It's not a big issue and I will not reduce my rating for this, but they only speak french at this riad. If you don't speak or understand much french, it will be a little hard to follow the questions raised to you. I would have expected to be able to communicate in english with the owners/staff.
Our room had a separate toilet, but this room is very very small. We are both short people, but even for us it felt too small.
- Luis (10/5): Fabulous, make sure you book it! - It’s hard to describe, everything was amazing, from the house in itself, the area, the friendly owners, the rooms, the swimming pool, and the terrace…oh the terrace. Loved it. Nothing at all.
- Kathryn (10/5): Lovely Riad, really helpful staff, would stay here again - Small and friendly.
- Natalie (10/5): Absolutely loved this place, highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again 10/10 - Fabulous Riad, so so happy we booked this one. Super clean. amazing rooftop, great location, friendly staff. Even better than the photos 10/10 Nothing, it was perfect!
- Arvind (10/5): Elegant ,well located and excellent staff. - Elegant facility. Nothing
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maha (8/5): Very good - We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and nicely decorated Riad. The staff are friendly and kind. A special thanks to Yassine.
- Amani (10/5): Perfect! Will be back - Our stay was beyond perfect. Breakfast was very filing and varied, the staff were all accommodating and welcoming. Very clean and excellent facilities. The hamam was also amazing and excellent value for money Nothing :)
- Helyaneh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shreya (10/5): Great stay at a beautiful riad - Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Easy to walk to sight seeing spots / access taxis. Loved the rooftop lounge area with hot tub and the pool. Daily breakfast was amazing as well. Gaia and her team were so helpful with anything we needed including organizing tours and making reservations / providing recommendations. 10/10 - highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed! Nothing to note.
- Anonymous (10/5): A must stay in the centre of marrakech - We arrived late to the property, but we’re still welcomed so warmly by the staff and shown our rooms. The riad is gorgeous, so wonderfully decorated, with a perfectly sized pool to cool off after sunbathing on the rooftop terrace. Room was comfy and had every thing we needed - we didn’t spend much time in the room apart from to sleep in. Gaia and her husband welcomed us at our first breakfast, gave us some great tips for sightseeing and restaurants and made us feel really at home. The staff were also first class! We missed the door a couple of times the first time we arrived, but it was probably just due to us being tired and it being night time
- H (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): wonderful, magical, can’t wait to come back - wonderful property, brilliant hosts, excellent location. a wonderful magical break we arrived late at night and could not initially find the property, so good advice is to message the owners and ask them to sort out your airport transfer with a trusted taxi driver to deliver you right to the door.
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Beautiful Riad, but be aware of hidden costs. - Lovely riad, run by a lovely french couple, accomodation was lovely and food was lovely. Bed was a little hard but I think it's normal in Morocco,
We didn't pay what we were quoted by Booking.com which left us very disappointed,we have travelled all over the world and this never happened to us,so word of caution you may be charged extra due to conversion rates ,stayed January 2023.
- Ken (10/5): It put a smile on our dates from start to finish. - Great location. An oasis of calm compared to outside. Nothing could have been better. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Jorge (9/5): Nice Riad ! Nice people ! - Lovely Gaia and Philippe . Mercy
- jenniferb421 (10/5): I wish I could give it 10 stars and 10 hearts - Where to begin...La Villa was a perfect Oasis in the midst of the excitement and busyness of Marrakech. Communication with Gaia, the owner was clear and immediate, she had great recommendations and advise for anything you might need (including finding eyedrops on a Sunday for the infection my son got at his hostel in Lisbon!); we felt very cared for. The staff is attentive, helpful and kind, breakfast was delicious. Laundry was We indulged in a hammam scrub in their private spa, which was amazing! The Riad is beutiful, very clean, and the products used were not perfumed which was perfect for us. The beds are very comfortable. We will all be back to visit someday!
- Lee (10/5): Best hosts - Gaia and Phillipe were the perfect hosts. They showed us where to go based on what we wanted to see. They helped us make reservations and booked transfers. Make sure you connect with them if you are doing multiple stops on your trip. A little far from the Medinas but still walkable.
- Giuseppe (8/5): on the way to become a 5 stars place - position
kindly staff
2 swimming pool
owners
our room interior
welcome tea staff not speaking English
room was humid (need humidifier)
a lot of service not advertised in correct way (cigar, bar)
taxi from/to airport bit expensive
not buffet breakfast
- Stephen (10/5): Beautiful, clean, comfortable, intimate Riad with an excellent staff in a great location. - Really nice and clean Riad. It's positioned in the southern part of the main area so you can drive within 30 meters of their location. Also, we parked our car just outside the walls which was a 7 minute walk and was able to leave kitesurfing gear and other luggage in the car we didn't need for touring the Medina which was nice for only $7/day. (It's guarded parking.) We had the King size room (35 sq meters) and it is really comfortable and had lots of light coming in which is a rarity with rooms in Morocco!! Heated pool, jacuzzi, Hammam, food service...this place has it all and a great staff on top of that. Gaia is the owner and she speaks great English as well as French and is extremely helpful and accommodating. When we come back, we're staying here for sure.
- Michael (10/5): The perfect spot to take in Marrakesh and rest and relax. - The host from the beginning was exceptional in communicating, providing directions and greeting me upon arrival. The Riad is well appointed with everything from laundry service, to toiletries, heat, hot water, lighting, inside and outside seating and dining. Great views. The art is worth seeing and the three salads I had as beginning of my dinner were as flavorful as any at any top notch restaurant around globe.
- Megi (4/5): Disappointing stay - We had a great Welcome to the riad.
All staff were nice. I have Cats phobia and everyone was so understanding in keeping the Riad's cat away while I was around.
It was also my birthday so they had bought a pastry with a candle in the morning to wish me happy birthday. - The hot water in the room would ran out after few minutes. We had to have cold showers.
- The room was so cold, we had to figure out how to put the heating in the room ourselves and we went to sleep with extra layers on us.
- The pictures of the main pool don't actually correspond to how the pool looks at night as there were never lights around the pool.
- The portable heaters in the centre of the riad were never put on while we were around, so we had breakfast always being so cold.
- Breakfast was very poor. No options available.
- We tried the heated jacuzzi on the terrace and dirt amoung the foam would accumulate in the corners. It might have been due to maintenance issues.
- The room had also a peculiar smell.
So did the bedspreads.
Definitely lots to improve unfortunately.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): wonderful stay a birthday well spent! - very welcoming and helpful.
lovely breakfast and beautiful decor.
facilities in the room were immaculate.
- Richard (10/5): A superb Riad , lovely people , all round excellence! -
- William (10/5): We look to return next year in Spring. It was just what we wanted from staying at a RIAD in Marrakech - High quality, cleanliness, staff very obliging, food spot on, Spa facilities, top quality bedding and towels, very well appointed rooms tastefully decorated, hosts very great No negatives
- Lok (10/5): It was the place we enjoyed the most in Marrakech so far. Good value of money! Highly recommended! - Lovely riad! Friendly hosts and staff, very helpful! We love the heated pool and jacuzzi on the terrence, nice view there as well. Bed and shower are comfortable. Good location, only 1 minute walk from the drop off point by car/ taxi, about 15-20mins walk to the Jemaa el fna square. nothing
- 311stephanec (10/5): Our stay in "Thousand and one Night" - Our stay at La Villa Marrakech was absolutely fantastic. Ideally located in the heart of la Medina, walking distance from every sites. the Riad is very nice and the people there make you feel your are a prince or a princess. The food is outstanding. We stayed there with friends and family. Gaia and Philippe will welcome you and care about all you desires. 4th stay in this place... Not the last one for sure. I strongly recommend this place.
- Khyatee (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - This was a quiet Riad run by a beautiful French couple. They were very kind and friendly. unfortunately we stayed here only for one night after a long 7 hour drive from tanger to Marrakech. This was our last stop and we had a morning flight back home. The host was very very welcoming and made us feel at home. The property is tastefully done and unlike many other Riads in Marrakech is very homely and warm. There are small small details which make it very personal. For animal lovers this is a must place to stay, the cat named Zwina who takes it upon herself to entertain and welcome you to the Riad along with her two Tortoise friends :)
The heated pool in the property is very inviting and it was divine to wash off all the fatigue with a lovely evening swim.
since we were staying only for one night we ordered dinner (which one needs to pre order as they get fresh produce and cook for you) it was nothing less than perfect. The table was set by the pool with candles and we had some of the best Tajine here.
The hosts were kind enough to arrange an early breakfast for us before we left.
The room we booked was a small one but that didn't matter as it was extremely comfortable and clean. The Riad is filled with books about Moroccan culture and architecture which was great to browse and expand your horizon.
The parking is closely and easy to find, even though we got lost :)
Overall I would definitely come back here for more.
Highly recommended! I didn't like the fact that we came here on our last day and had to leave so early.
- Voyage368448 (10/5): Second fabulous stay at LVM with the same exceptional hosts - As we had a wonderful first stay at LVM two years ago just before Covid pandemic, we decided to come here again and we've not been deceived ! Gaia and Philippe have been fabulous hosts once again and their riad, extremely well located in the medina (near the Saadi Tombs), is always a charming place to stay. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the rooftop terrace, facing the old city and the Atlas Mount.
- NatalieF0 (10/5): Incredible Place to Stay - My mother and I stayed at La Villa Marrakech for 7 nights and I could not recommend it more highly.
The Riad itself is just gorgeous. There is a rooftop terrace, which is perfect for breakfast or sunset drinks, that has a stunning view across Marrakech. There is a jacuzzi with plenty more sunlounging areas on the next level. The ground floor has the most beautiful pool and areas to relax out of the sun. The Suite we stayed in was well appointed with a bath and huge shower.
The staff could not do enough and were genuinely fabulous. They were attentive and available day and night. Gaia, the owner was available on WhatsApp for absolutely anything. She also spoke to all of the guests each morning to find out what she could do to make the day amazing for the guests, from restaurant bookings, to tour recommendations or transfer confirmations.
We also had an evening meal in the Riad and it was lovely and certainly gave the more expensive restaurants a run for their money. I would recommend trying it one evening.
The location of the Riad is also great. It is about a fifteen minute walk to the main souks, but there are dozens of restaurants to suit all budgets just outside on the door.
I will be back to Marrakech and I won’t stay anywhere else.
- paulinehenriet21 (10/5): FABULOUS! - Our stay at la Villa Marrakech was absolutely wonderful! It is the second time we spend more than a week at this Riad and I can't say enough about the hosts Gaia and Phillipe.
They made us feel at home like the first time and we were so delighted to come back !!. Gaia and Philippe went above our expectations - making us reservations, booking transfers, arranged for excursions in Agafay ! Our bedroom was comfortable, clean and so quiet. We loved our lunch on the rooftop terrace and the jacuzzi was a refreshing treat in the evening. The food is delicious and we are missing the huge breakfast and dinners with home cooked Moroccan dishes. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Everything was just perfect and Gaia and Philippe gives many reasons to come back and we will, definitely !!!
