Guest Reviews
- veroniquelemire (10/5): Beautiful Riad in a great location - I had a fantastic stay here, in this elegant, clean, peaceful and well-managed riad in the wonderful Marrakech. The position is perfect: just within the inner-city walls, making access to the souks, but also allowing for an easy exit of the medina. A special thank you to Aminata and the team who looked after me with impeccable care and kindness.
- Ogy_92 (10/5): Amazing stay! Flawless !! Excellent - Amazing stay !!
10/10 the full team go above and beyond
Special mention to;
Abdul Karim
Simon
Abdel
They make the riad feel like your home from home in their beautiful oasis.
Sitting on the fence about what riad to stay in dive right in for this one! Perfect location too for the markets and key restaurants
Book it !
- Sameer (10/5): Exceptional Moroccan hotel - Beautiful moroccan vibe amazing staff and excellent daily breakfeast
- Rachael (10/5): Friendly Riad stay - All the staff who worked there were very friendly, gave me great tips for what to see and do, plus good restaurant and bar recommendations. Good location also. Would recommend.
- Elena_dominguez1994 (10/5): Best Riad - This riad is a must stay, what makes this place so special are the staff.
Obviously the riad is also absolutely gorgeous. It’s quaint but feels large with a lovely bar and multiple lounge spots including a great suntrap roof terrace with a plunge pool and chefs which serve a very minimal yet strong menu with GOOD, great value, food (you won’t believe how hit and miss the food is in Marrakesh we were so glad to eat well after we went to a couple terrible tourist traps such as Le Fenn).
The location is 10 mins walking distance from the best restaurants, bars, souks, hamman yet far enough to feel super safe/ distant. I’d like to give a special thanks to Sib who attended to us day-to-day and Abdel with booking and recommendations. There was also a lovely waiter who attended us at breakfast but sadly I never asked his name.
Overall I would recommend you stay here! You won’t regret it and the value for money is unmatched.
- Calypso (10/5): - We stayed at Riad les yeux bleus for 6 nights and could not recommend more. The hotel is in a great location, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and the rooms and pool area etc were beautiful. Would recommend to anyone staying in Marrakesh
- Alison (10/5): - I spent a few nights in the Riad and it was absolutely incredible. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the location is walking distance to everything. The space exudes peacefulness with the charming rooms, amazing decor, fresh flowers and little birds.
- Harperslondon (10/5): So glad we booked to stay here! - A wonderful calm and comfortable oasis to return to after our days out.
Recommended by two sets of friends each of whom had stayed here several years ago - they’ve clearly maintained their standards and it didn’t disappoint.
The Riad had a few nice spaces to relax in, from the shade of the courtyard to the rooftop where we enjoyed breakfast and coffee each morning and sunbathing on the beanbag sofas late afternoon.
Good location, helpful staff, beautiful marble bathrooms and big fluffy towels. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here.
- Max (10/5): - Loved everything about our stay. Attentive staff, comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast. We shall be back.
- Peter (8/5): Super hotel med top service - Hotellet er super hyggeligt. Der er masser plads til at sidde og hygge sig og med tre pools flot af et hotel i Marrakech. Personalet var uovertrufne altid hjælpsom og smilende.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic place to be - We had a very pleseant stay. Great and warm hearted perople working there taking really care of you.
- Maddie (10/5): Such a special stay . Staff was superb! - My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Great location. Very helpful staff. Best Shakshuka for breakfast we had the entire 10 day trip. Would definitely recommend this Riad for a quiet, relaxing stay.
- Victoria (10/5): - The staff are amazing!
- Jyrki (10/5): Date trip to Marrakesh. - This Riad comes with great location and service. These lovely people open your own wine bottle, bring glasses and light the fireplace in your room. Clean room and delicious breakfast.
- Damon (10/5): - Riad Les Yeux Blues is such a gem! The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help, even sorting my airport transfer, which was a big plus. Breakfasts were fresh, filling, and had a nice variety to choose from. My room was super cozy and beautifully decorated—such a relaxing space. The location is spot on, right in the medina but tucked away enough to avoid the chaos of the markets. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
- I8536FPstevenh (2/5): Riad refuses to refund me despite my early cancellation request. - I booked this hotel back in March of 2024 with Hind and he asked that I place a deposit for the room. Hind had assured me the deposit was refundable so long as I cancelled 30 days prior to check in.
I cancelled the room in June 2024 yet they still have not refunded my deposit despite emailing and phoning them multiple times. It has been extremely frustrating. I recommend not booking with this riad unless your travel plans have been finalized.
- AlanMichaelWard (10/5): A final night in Marrakech. - I stayed here last Wednesday night and it was my second stay here.
The reception was warm and friendly and I was allocated Room 12 next to the swimming pool. I found the sleeping area to be quite compact but more than adequate for me travelling alone. The bathroom was large and spacious.
The bed and linen were excellent and I slept well.
The only thing missing from the room was an electric kettle and brew kit which I would have used.
It’s just a short walk into the central area of Marrakech.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The roof area is a great place to chill out on a sunny day.
A full bar service is available next to reception which was just what I needed after a week in the High Atlas Mountains.
Breakfast was high quality but some form of heating would be appreciated.
My next stay here will be February 11th so I’d really appreciate being allocated Room 12 again.
A highly recommended Riad in Marrakech.
- Valerie (8/5): - Lovely peaceful ambience within the riad. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Akhil (10/5): - Super chic Riad. Adorable rooms and central courtyard. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly.
The location was close to the main square, souks (market), attractions and not too far from the new part of Marrakech (Gúeliz). And great breakfast. Overall great experience!!
- Katherine (10/5): Best stay EVER - Best. Time. Ever! I had such a great time! It was a treat the whole way through! Tea: Amazing. Breakfast: to die for. The room: I slept so well and felt like a princess. The tub being absolutely gigantic was a huge plus. I’m 5’9” so spectacular. The staff was so helpful and held my bags for me when I had a late flight and when I was ridiculous and booked a desert excursion on that same day they were kind enough to let me shower. I was fully accepting that I was getting on a plane sandy. They are the best! The highlight of my trip honestly.
- Zenab (8/5): - Beautiful tranquil property, staff are griendly and go outnof their way to assist.
- dalila (10/5): - Excellent raid personnels agréable merci à Aminata
- NAT79 (10/5): Magical stay in this beautiful Riad..... - The dreamiest stay in Marrakech and its all thanks to Abdul and the team at this beautiful Riad.
Little did we know that July was a quiet time (due to increasing temperatures) so we pretty much had the whole riad to ourselves. Pretty Perfect!
The team were great at giving us tips and advice as we were two females travelling alone and a bit unsure about where to go and how to tackle any unwanted attention.
We did not need to worry, staff provided us with a driver to meet us at the airport and to escort us to the Riad which is in a pretty perfect location, close to the souks and all the beautiful buildings.
The interior is beautiful, so peaceful with a refreshing pool as it can get pretty hot in the afternoon.
Breakfast was delicious, freshly made and available on the rooftop, the staff and service was top notch!
Complimentary mint tea and cookies was offered every night after we came back from dinner, Abdul was on hand to assist us with anything we needed.
Overall so happy we found this place, please don't hesitate to book!
- soulier (10/5): - Personnel au top
Restauration impeccable
Tout était parfait
- Richard (10/5): - Our stay at Riad Les Yeux Bleus was exceptional. Perfect location a very short walk from the souks, down a very quiet street where you escape the buzz of Marrakesh. The staff are very attentive whilst giving you space to relax. Above all very warm people, in particular Abdul. The quality of this riad was beyond my expectations and it is small enough to feel relaxed and cosy. Im sure in the next couple of years it will be much harder to book a stay here, comparable to El Fenn.
- Wayne (10/5): - Beautiful property. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Convenient location within the Medina for everything you’re likely to want to do.
- charlottesY2575OO (10/5): Beautiful Hotel - A beautiful hotel. It's been updated slightly since the photographs but is just as stunning. The staff are attentive and helpful. English and French (and I'm sure other languages) are spoken fluently. I can't recommend this hotel more. The new dining area on the roof will be stunning I'm sure.
- catherine (10/5): - We loved our stay at Riad Les Yeux Bleus. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The riad is beautiful and room are spacious.
- eeroh957 (10/5): Beautiful Riad in old Marrakech - Absolutely beautiful Riad with a great location, rooftop and pool area. The rooms are also beautiful. The staff and service was exceptional and everyone was very helpful . A special thanks to Abdul Karim for great service and teaching me Berber! Felt right at home in this hotel.
- kaori (8/5): Great road near the medina - Let belt building friendly staff. First night we were put on a smaller room by mistake, however they transferred us to the proper room the next day and compensated by giving us free dinner.we like the breakfast.
Swimming pool was small and cold. But can’t complain as it’s February. Try to conserve water as Morocco is going through a draught .
there was still hairs on the floor on our first room, the housekeeper must have not hoovered the room.
. Food was great and hospitality was amazing. Good location
- Dawn Comer (10/5): - Our family really loved this Riad. The exterior was plain and down a nondescript alley but when they opened the door there was this beautiful hotel inside. The staff was amazing - attentive, kind, accommodating. It was like being in someone's home. The Riad was close to everything we wanted to see but tucked away and quiet inside. And they arranged everything for us - cabs, dinner reservations, spa appointments - they even walked us to our cabs when they arrived.
They served a plentiful breakfast daily and you could order other meals as desired. All was tasty and satisfying. We went in December so it was a little chilly in the building, which was open air in the courtyard, but that's to be expected. Nice heaters in the bedrooms. Again, great stay, terrific staff, we have already recommended the place to friends and family traveling to Morocco.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very friendly people - Great service and very friendly people. After a few days it felt like they were family. The Riad is very beautiful and very pretty decorated. The rooms were nice as well
- Manuel (2/5): No room available - We arrived at the hotel and they told us they didn’t have any rooms even though we had a confirmed reservation with hotels.com.
We had to move to another hotel at 1am.
- Cheryl (8/5): Perfect location - The riad is in a perfect location and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were there for 3 nights and the rooms were comfortable and pleasant. Unfortunately during our stay there were building works on the roof top. This was quite noisy during the days but staff did go out of their way to apologise and still allow access to the roof. Would definitely recommend staying here for a short stay.
- cheryllyndsay (10/5): Excellent - Absolutely fabulous accommodation and staff that could not do enough for you. We were sad to have only stayed 3 nights everything we asked for was no problem and we could not have asked for more. We will definitely stay again. The rooms are comfortable and the communal areas are stunning. The service and hospitality were above and beyond what we were expecting
- EmilyEveleigh (10/5): A lovely oasis in the middle of Marrakesh - A lovely oasis in the middle of Marrakesh - although the medina was chaotic (in a great way) the riad felt calm so it was lovely to have some where relaxing to go back to after a day exploring the souks. The decor is beautiful- our room was cozy and the bed was really comfortable. The food was also lovely - we had one dinner and one breakfast there. The staff were really helpful and super lovely.
The only downside was a shower was a bit rubbish (water didn’t come out properly and the water didn’t drain quick enough) and the bathroom doesn’t have a door but I still gave it a 5 star review as these didn’t impact our stay at all. I would also say, the pool is very small and in the middle of the riad so if you are wanting somewhere you can relax by the pool all day this may not be the hotel for you.
- hellomissmei (10/5): Stylish riad in a good, cosy location. - As many have pointed out, this is a nice refuge from the chaotic heart of Djemma al-fenna (The Big Square, as the local call it - the Koutoubia Mosque is opposite as well). It’s an easy 10 min walk. Amenities for basics are nearby - pharmacy, money changer, SIM cards (PS I did an e-Sim which was so much more convenient), etc. There’s a slight local neighbourhood vibe to this whole place. Rooms are generous for 2 with sufficient space for luggage etc. Beds are comfortable and clean.
There’s a well-stocked bar but keep in mind that this is not exactly a party spot, things will kinda “close” by about 10ish pm or so? At least, it felt like it (which was fine for me because I like an early night). I’m also told this is a partially residential neighbourhood. Also good for me because it means good sleeps! Anyway, ask - the staff are incredibly obliging. There’s a small, well-curated menu for dining in-house but again, this is a riad (not a hotel) so you’ll need to give them time to get your food ready. There is a kitchen but I honestly doubt it’s 24hrs. Again, ask. PS: The chicken tagine is delicious!
There are no lifts and the staircases are a bit narrow so keep thar in mind if you are travelling with large suitcases. Again, it’s a riad not a hotel. But the staff are incredibly helpful (and strong!)
Most importantly, do not let all of this deter you from booking Riad Les Yeux Bleus. This is just my way of managing expectations. It is a charming space. And the service is excellent. Obliging, attentive without obsequious. Nice and friendly. After a long day trudging about the souks and the city, it was really nice to come back, take a nice deep breathe and have a beer in the courtyard :)
- LUCIANA (6/5): - The front desk staff was extremely friendly.
One of the best front desks staff I have ever had in a hotel.
They made me feel really feel comfortable. Including all the servers. A 10!!!
NEGATIVE:
-A door at the bathroom is needed for privacy.
-I was not told when I did my reservation that the SPA was not working that is was underconstruction.
- M8492KXalexandrat (10/5): A magical experience - I have just come back from a holiday with friends in Marrakech where we stayed at Riad Les Yeux Bleus. It was a truly wonderful experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and were very comfortable and clean - I have never slept so well in such a long time! The breakfasts were worth the cost of the riad alone - fresh orange juice, yoghurt, all kinds of breads and pancakes, fresh fruit - the list was endless and the food kept on coming! As the weather was extremely hot I really appreciated the air-conditioning in the room and being able to use the plunge pool in the courtyard. We also took advantage of the hammam on the roof as well as having a wonderful massage! We were able to book the riad's driver to take us to restaurants in the evening and to the Bahia Palace. The staff were very helpful when it came to booking tables for dinner and on the last day, we had a delicious lunch at the riad before we left for the airport. I have already recommended Les Yeux Bleus to other friends and family and I look forward to staying there again.
- clairelM8302SL (10/5): Book it straight away, you won't regret it! - We were recommended this Riad by a friend who had stayed in 2022. It did not disappoint! Its perfectly situated, immaculately clean and the bedrooms are super comfy...and have air conditioning!!! The staff are attentive and very knowledgable, nothing is too much trouble and they genuinely want you to enjoy Marrakech to the full. They gave brilliant restaurant recommendations, organised a tour guide and arranged their taxi to take us anywhere we wanted on time, every time. The breakfasts are huge and bar snacks/lunch were delicious and excellent value too. Can't recommend it enough - will be back for sure.
- Joanne Marie (10/5): - Cannot fault this Riad, beautifully designed, gorgeous rooms, helpful and attentive staff and great location - would highly recommend
- Linda (10/5): - Lovely traditional Moroccan building. Highly recommend. Excellent service and great food especially the breakfast. Easy walk to most sites.
- 655SarahB (10/5): Great place to stay - We had a very enjoyable stay here, it is an ideal place to stay and explore Marrakesh. It is near the souks, restaurants and only a short walk from the main square in The Medina. The Riad is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of The Medina providing a calm oasis to recharge the batteries. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the comfortable rooms are full of character and very clean. The courtyard is beautiful and so relaxing, we enjoyed eating our breakfast there each day and having a glass of wine there in the evening. There is also a rooftop with a plunge pool and sun beds umbrellas and shaded areas to sit. I would highly recommend this Riad.
- 283ralphg (6/5): Make sure there isn’t a hen party. - Staff were delightful, and Riad was serene and beautiful. We had a room on ground floor. Unfortunately many of the rooms were taken out be a hen party. I understand that the hotel may not know that a booking is there to party, but what we did object to was other members of the group not staying at the Riad, returning to the bar and making merry until the small hours on each of the 3 nights we stayed there. Not what you expect in a Riad in Marrakech!
- Q5333EFantonellal (10/5): Short and sweet - We only stayed one night but the Riad was gorgeous. We had a lovely room ( no 4) and the public spaces were attractive and cool. The staff were very helpful and gave us a decent early breakfast before our early morning flight with a smile. Conveniently situated - about a 15 minute walk from the main square .
- Gillian (10/5): Lovely Riad - My daughter and 1 had a lovely stay in this beautiful Riad. A stunning bedroom, and roof terrace. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff.
- Matthew (10/5): - Amazing place to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice public areas, disappointing rooms - Public areas are nice. Room seems smaller versus the official pictures. No garden view as booking. Room, bathroom very dark. Bathroom colors are odd. Room was cold, needed to ask for a heater. Shower drainage was stuck, water didn’t flow. Advised the manager to see if can change to better rooms upon check in but manager was not helpful. Breakfast room was cold, ask to turn on a heater. Host didn’t mention there was a rooftop where you can have breakfast with a view. Stayed at other riads which were much better and also better priced
- Pascale (10/5): - C était ravissant !les gens adorables ! La cuisi
E délicieuse
PARFAIT
Nous reviendrons le plus vite possible
- Dave (6/5): - It's a very romantic place and we really enjoyed that aspect, but it's a little short on functional comforts. Location is great, the staff were excellent but it's overpriced.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful Riad - Overall our stay was pleasant. Mixed reviews on our hotel host with different advise each time. Use local taxis as sooooo much cheaper than private driver organised by host (I think she must get a cut )
. Our room was very poorly lite. Breakfast was annoying. Even though I had emailed prior to arriving as was reassured I would be given. GF breakfast this never happened. It took day 3 before I could even get eggs fir breakfast. Breakfast was average we traveled with our 3 young adult children and there reviews are the same. Riad has been beautiful refurbished. It’s lovely to have it all so lovey to return to from a chaos city. As much tea as you like in the riad but coffee is extra? Anyway yes I would recommend this Riad.
- Benjamin (10/5): Fantastic - Truly a great experience with fantastic staff.
- Frances (10/5): Wonderful service, clean room - Absolutely wonderful staff! The service was outstanding and thoughtful! I would not hesitate to visit again.
- Sophie (10/5): Cosy riad - Cosy riad with really friendly staff.
- alex (10/5): Perfect - From the beautiful picture perfect riad to the amazing staff, my girlfriend and I couldn't have asked for more. Riad Les Yeux Bleus was absolutely perfect!
