Water came out yellow at first, bedding was poor, towels and wash cloth didn’t look clean, bathroom door was broken, bath tub was dirty, toilet was dirty and had a yellow ring inside it. Any hotel that says no refunds, RUN AWAY! It’s a reason behind that.
- Deshawn (1/5): Bad -
- William (1/5): Bad - Dirty, Nasty
- William (2/5): Live and learn - The a/c worked really well. There was zero hospitality from the lady who took my credit card and she all but called me a liar when she asked me if we smoked. The room was filthy. At check in and check out I had to pick up the phone and call from outside to get help. As I was checking out, she asked for my room key. She told me to wait there, outside mind you. She then goes to the room I was staying in, and after a few she comes back and said now she can give me my deposit. She needed to check the room before even letting me leave.
The room was filthy. I could write my name in the mirror. It has so much dirt and dust on it. The walls and floor of the bath are stained brown and yellow. I wish I would have taken pictures.
Also, my car broke down as I pulled in to check in for the night. I informed her, as I was checking out, that I would have the car towed that day to a repair shop. She then told me it had to be gone by noon or SHE would have it towed. I FINALLY convinced her that it may be a little later than noon but it WOULD be towed that day. She made me sign a piece of paper stating if it was not gone by midnight, that she would have the car towed. UGH! I expected more.
- Stutler (1/5): Bad -
- James (1/5): It sucked. - It was garbage. It was an overall bad experience.
- P9130DGtimothym (10/5): Good people quiet no theft - It is not new and things are not perfect here. Everything works as it should and there is tv and cable. They allow pets here. And unlike most motels there is just a little walk to the woods beside for dog walks . It's not loud here like the Orange Motel or Best Price. My wife and I have stayed and for a couple of months our house burned down when my wife came to visit me at work. The owners here are very good people and have always been great . Clean sheets clean towels daily. We have not had anything stolen . It is quiet and peaceful. It's not dirty its older. Come stay a few nights !

- Gayla (1/5): Awful.....could not communicate very well with check in staff because she was Vietnamese and she got very upset with me - nothing 1st room was awful bathroom was nasty looking with stains the lights by the bed didn’t work only two thin pillows and the spread looked very old and tattered. They did offer me a different room that had a nicer bathroom.
I didn’t like the fact that I had to put up a $35 deposit!!!
I had paid for the room in advance so I was not able to get a refund or I would have went to a different place.
After my friend that met me there took me out to eat I did not stay the night there....
I left that evening to return home. There was no way I was getting in that skanky bed!!!!
- Renetta (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (1/5): Bad - The Location The whole thing was just outdated and ugh.
- Carson (5/5): Passable -
- Beverly (1/5): It was LITERALLY the worst room that I have ever occupied. - The AC was cold and so was the mini fridge It's a tossup = the curtains wired to the rod and taped together with black tape or the ripped bedspread or the bed with the metal springs poking through the mattress or the crumpled up lampshades on the corroded brass lamps. Maybe it was the fact that there was no toilet paper to be found and the toilet was dirty. The manager told me that since I came through booking.com she wouldn't charge me a security deposit for their towels - not sure why - the towels were the size of postage stamps and were thin. We went to Dollar General to bbuy some usable towels.
- Joey.l (1/5): I would not recommend any one to stay there and will never return - There was no Berakfast and the room was dirty as well as the sheets locks on the door was broken Everything could have been better
- T3110WUdonnag (2/5): Donna Gurschke - Disgustingly filthy! I should have been alerted when I was asked to sign a statement that I would not ask for a refund. We did not stay. The room was just too filthy. I have stayed in hostels on 3 continents and have never seen anything this bad.
- AyJohnee (10/5): Thumbs up - Comfortable
- Vacelis (10/5): Cheap and quiet - For the price there was no complaints, quiet place.
- Charlie (2/5): - The rooms were not clean the microwave didnt work there was no mimi fridge or a room phone the drawers couldnt be opened they were taped shut the linen was dirty and you cant use the bath tub because it will cause a flood.
- Antonios (8/5): Not bad - The hotel is decent
- Brian (10/5): Great place - It was a very good experience, the rooms were nice. The staff was more than cooperative. I would definitely stay here again.
- J (2/5): - I didn’t like none of it room was nasty dirty bad all of the above
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Property is old and run down. The sheets were not clean. The toilet was dirty. There was a sign in the room to take showers only. The floor had not been swept. There were burnt holes in the comforter. The towels.were stained.
- Nicole (2/5): - It was very dirty they have rat traps everywhere. It was dirty the Sheets Were thin and had burn holes in them everywhere and most of the lights didn't work.
- Christy (8/5): - The staff was awesome and made me feel very welcomed. Incredibly friendly and courteous.
- Mike (10/5): Great Time - We had a great time
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place is filthy inside and out. Doors has big gaps around them. Certainly not secure. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Linens and towels were grungy and stained.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Checkout procedures not explained at check in.
Had to call to let someone know we’re checking out and ask what to do with keys. No drop box or previous instructions.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgusting - This place was completely disgusting, the room looked ok from pics but not what u walk into. The restroom was dirty and the toilet didnt flush, the beds were very worndown and u could feel every spring in the matresses sticking your whole body. The door didnt shut or open easily and seals were rotted out. There were other guests underwear and clothing behind and under beds and the floor had bugs all over in restroom and room alive and dead bugs. When i went to the office to complain to management the girl at desk said she couldnt comp for dirty room and couldnt get us in contact with manager or owner. Very bad place to stay way overpriced and trashy.
- W8400MWcarolb (10/5): Executive inn and suites - The texas executive inn and suites in orange tx was worth the price the room was great for our 2 yr old she had lots of space to play the beds were great for pain the water got nice and hot they had cable to watch the a/c worked great i would recommend this motel to anyone who needs a good nights rest should stay here
- Verified traveler (6/5): - its not all it says had to take a shower instead of a bath plumbing problems
- Paul (2/5): - Dirty filty room. Filthy sheets on bed she said she was going to change them she didn't.we came back still no towels. pillows were horrible, two flat pillows we ask for more she said she would resupply the room when we got back she didn't. the baseboards were filthy with dead bugs. all along the furniture it looks like it hasn't been swept and months behind the furniture was trash the bed felt like it was from 1955, old school TV that didn't work. A straight up crack, junkie motel!
- elizabeth (2/5): - During the night we had a roach and in our bed! Not happy
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Roomy but fun down facility , good price .
- Mauri (2/5): - very bad experience ever. zero customer care.no help, no service, very dirty and extremely rude people
- Richard (6/5): - It was tolerable manager is nice but staff not to much we asked for extra towels and did not get any there was 1 wash cloth to share between two people
- Verified traveler (4/5): Surprised! - I booked this hotel on line. The representative pictures and description were NOT the hotel. It was in very poor shape, the room was not clean , the "non smoking" had residual smoke smell , there were cigarette burns and holes from ash on the bed spread lining, and the office was closed and locked for the majority of my stay. A breakfast was advertised, but the only morning food was weak coffee. I will not do this again.
- PDB936 (2/5): Worst motel I've ever stayed. - If I hadn't been so tired after a long drive, I would have moved on. Entire complex was disgusting. Needs lots of routine and not-so-routine maintenance. Doesn't even deserve 1 star!! The Free breakfast was one urn of coffee & a small number of pre-packaged very small buns. No juice, no food, no way to prepare tea. The microwave & the refrigerator in the room did work. The shower was too disgusting to use.
- gloriao366 (2/5): DISGUSTING! - DO NOT STAY HERE!
I had been driving 7 hours straight and just needed a place to sleep and shower. I checked in at 11 pm extremely tired. The hotels in the area were all sold out. The cheapest room she said she had was 85 dollars, which was weird because the motel seemed fairly empty. I walk into the room and flipped the light switch. Nothing. They have lamps there for decoration with no light bulb. The only lights were in the bathroom and the small lamp by the bed. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The windows they had does not open to let out the smell. The room and bathroom were so dirty. I did not feel safe sleeping in that bed. They have a coffee pot but no coffee or cups. This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in and I was charged 85 dollars for this. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. I could not sleep because of the cigarette smell. Never will I stay here again. Do not waste your money like I did.
- NannatwoTexas (2/5): FILTHY - This is the filthiest place I have ever seen in my life. My nephew stayed here August 3rd and 4th. The only reason he stayed the second night is he had already paid for the night and couldn't get his money back. I have NEVER seen a nastier place in my life. Place had a foul smell, front glass on microwave in room was broken out, ceiling had water marks and texture was falling off, bathroom light had a water mark around it and the light didn't work so he had to put a lamp in there just to have light, tub, sink, shower curtain and toilet were filthy. Lamp shade cracked. The day after the first night the room wasn't touched (no fresh towels, trash taken out, etc.) I believe if you have gotten this far in the review you get the picture
- mattt435 (2/5): Above Ground Septic Tank - This place should rate Absolute Zero. This is one of the nastiest places I have ever seen. I booked a week here over the phone because I was coming into town for a job and the other hotels were either sold out or way too expensive. I've stayed in Orange several times for jobs but this was a sudden emergency and I didn't have a lot of time to plan. This toilet is even worse than the last time I looked at it two years ago. At midnight when I arrived I was exhausted and didn't have the energy to try to find another place so I had the Obviously Impaired gentleman at the desk change it to one night. The room was filthy with disgusting mold and gunk in the bathroom. The carpet looked worse than a slaughterhouse parking lot. It appears there are several units used by groups of transients or simply as a flop house arranged by the state or county, but it looked like a hobo camp in places. It was quiet, which is surprising. I was on night shift the next night so I slept a few hours in my sleeping bag I carry in my jeep! There was no way I was going to even look at the sheets, let alone climb in. I wound up getting a weekly rental at a condo in town that was a little pricey, but it beat the daylights out of this cesspool. DO NOT STAY HERE! GO ELSEWHERE!
- 801cynthiah (2/5): Beware - 1st off let me start off by saying I normally check reviews before booking, but this time I decided not to. I had a gut feeling for the price i was paying that I should take my own bedding just in case from previous stays elsewhere. My significant other and I get there and was petrified at what we was seeing. That was sign number one. Old barbeque pits, rusty gates and walls and gentlemen lurking around like they had been there for years. Go inside a little old Asian lady helped us and gave us the worst room every on the side the guys were hanging around on. The room we were given was the nastiest I had ever seen. The floor was full of trash, mildew everywhere and a very strong urine smell. She advised us that it was busy last night and that house keeping was maybe being a little lazy.We requested our money back but she insisted on showing us another one on the other side that looked a little more safer. We chose to stay in that one. Once again it was horrible but not as bad as the other one. Still the guys lurking around was still apart of my memory so we decided again we didn't want to stay there. We had 15 minutes to change our minds and could get a full refund but the lady knew what she was doing and would not refund the money. I called Booking.Com to let them know of our experience but was not able to get nowhere with them either. We lost 60 dollar and a hotel planner because I will never use neither one of them again. I will be calling the Health Department on this hotel. Very angry customer
- projecthighwayc (4/5): Ugh. What happened to clean/comfotable affordable rooms for travelers? - This is another typical "you get what you pay for" room that I am REALLY getting tired of finding. People live here long-term, and make the place scary. It is dirty, the beds are old, the office reeeeks of curry and gawd-knows-what else. Yuck yuck yuck. I miss the days of good ol American owned, local mom and pop motels that took PRIDE in their places. That concept is about as old and moldy as the food that wasn't cleaned out of the fridge in the room. Stay somewhere else. The Good Price Motel isn't bad (and right by this one). Decent rooms, clean, friendly English speaking front desk, pool and a better than nothing free breakfast.
- sschlachter (2/5): NO - This was a last minute stay after a long day at work my previous hotel had filled up so I thought ok I just need a shower & a bed.. NEVER again. Tub was full of rust it was creepy to me. Some of the guys I worked with stayed there for a couple weeks I'm not sure how. By 3 am I was wishing I was sleeping in my truck so I just left.
- bluebonnetintx (6/5): Budget Value - Normally I wouldn't stay at a property like this because of past experiences with such establishments, but it was late and I was very tired and on a Very tight budget on this trip so I decided to try it. Their sign advertised a rate of $24.95 and up per night, so I figured it shouldn't be much more for myself and my daughter. The girl at the front desk was cordial and helpful, she offered a rate of $39.99 but also gave a discount for AARP. The room was in the far left corner, just at the edge of the property at the place where the motel meets with another property, divided by a fence. There were many "workers" there, the girl explained it was a place that many out of town workers stayed because of the weekly rate they offered. Because we stayed on a Monday it was fairly quiet, I cannot speak to how it would be on the weekends but they did look very near capacity. Or room was simple, one bed, tv, dresser, night stand, typical of a standard motel room. There were no strange smells, NO smoke smells at all, the sheets, though thin and old, were clean and the bed was well made. The carpet looked as if it needed a cleaning, but had been vacuumed. There was a small fridge and microwave which worked, the tv and phone worked as well. The bathroom did leave a little to be desired, and it is advisable to bring your own towels because theirs were terrible just to be quite honest. We didn't hear too much noise from the street and to my great surprise there was no annoying housekeeper banging on the door at 9am. There is what they call "breakfast" but it is only pre-packaged honey-buns and coffee, but what can you expect for around $40? All in all, for what it was, I felt it was a good value, I didn't want to spend more than $40 and I also didn't want to sleep with bedbugs or on dirty sheets, so I felt I accomplished that and was satisfied that I was able to do so at the last minute. If you are traveling through this area and find yourself needed to stop, it wouldn't be the worst you could do, that's for sure, and it's way cheaper to stay in Orange than in Beaumont. Make sure you check the room first, that's what I did, no refunds after check in, just to be on the safe side.
- garciarob (8/5): Good Price and room - Clean and quiet motel close to everything. free internet and breakfast. Good rates for the room and they even match rates. Will stay again if i visit Orange TX again.
- sush8281 (8/5): nice rooms for the price - June 2007
They have a friendly staff and good customer service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have high speed internet and they were able to help me with my computer because it was not set up. During our stay, it was very quiet and safe. I will be staying there next time I travel to Orange, Texas.
- CatTraveller (2/5): Filthy - My husband and I stayed at this property June 23-24, 2007 while in Orange, TX. Without a doubt, this is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. There was dirt piled in the corners of the bathroom, the toilet bowel itself was a dark gray above the water line. The door inside the bathroom had stains running down the paint. The bathtub had gray streaks, a moldy showerhead, and a filthy, torn rubber bathmat. I was frankly afraid to lift the rubber bathmat. The furniture in the room was all in extremely poor condition with missing drawer pulls and wood that was literally falling apart. The carpet was so dirty I would not walk across it in bare feet. The bedspread had old bloodstains on the underside. The final insult were the numerous insect bites I received.
- fartymenams (4/5): Probably wouldn't stay here again. - I stopped here because it seemed slightly nicer than the Motel 6 next door. I checked in and went to my room, which seemed clean enough. I noticed that the door would not completely shut at the bottom, as if it had been forced open. The deadbolt was also missing. I was very tempted at this point to go up to the front desk and ask for a refund. I went to the front desk, told the woman there about it, and asked for a different room. She was more than willing to help and got me another room just a few doors down -- this one had a deadbolt and the door closed completely. There were short, dark, curly hairs in the bathtub. When I sat down on the bed, I noticed what looked like a flea on the pillow.
On the positive side, there was internet access in the room (both wired and wireless ethernet.)
- Fearless33736 (2/5): Moldy & Disgusting - This was the most disgusting room I have ever seen or stayed in. I stayed in April of 2006. Carpet filthy. There was long hairs in the tub and on the pillows... The corners in the bathroom were piled up with dirt and hair, there was mold on the tile in bath tub but the most disgusting was the mold growing on the shower head. Why not a little bleach and a few more minutes of time. Manager said "workers are staying here, that's why carpet is so dirty" Okay, carpet getting soiled from these guys coming in from working all day getting the area back in shape after the hurricanes...don't they deserve a healthy place to stay. I almost slept in my truck but it was late and didn't have anywhere else to go and they would not refund my money and a woman traveling alone...I did what I had to and hope I don't get sick from taking a shower...
- edt67 (2/5): Horrible in every way! - We could not believe how nasty the rooms were! We stayed September 1-4, 2005 at the Executive Inn. I would discourage anyone from staying there. It would be worth it for you to spend more money and get a cleaner room, than to stay there and be worried about what you might get. The staff were very rude! Stay there at your own risk!
