- Antonio (1/5): - Everything
- Hazel Dellanira (7/5): -
- Marissa (4/5): I wanted a refund for the hours of construction - View and history The loud construction going on next to my room
- Syed Yasir (10/5): -
- Mike (10/5): Historical, comfortable, welcoming, perfectly situated, clean and affordable. Perfect El Paso stay! - Cormac McCarthy stayed here, wrote books here and set famous (if frightening) scenes here. The man was a genius. One of his genius moves was staying at the Gardner. Awesome place!
- Aleja (2/5): - The hotel is very historic and cool! The room was not well cleaned, with stains on the sheets, and there was a cockroach in the bathroom.
- Brandon (8/5): -
- Grzegorz (10/5): Brakuje na ścianie zegara z warszawskimczasem 😎 - To klimatyczny hotel w stylu lat trzydziestych , jeśli ktoś lubi retro to o d razu poczuje klimat pogranicza lat trzydziestych. Rewelacyjny personel - tylko czekają żeby ci w czymś pomóc , ale bez służalczości . No i miejsce : w samym centrum i blisko mostu . Bardzo , bardzo polecam Nic

- Phil_Peraza (9/5): - Customer service-oriented with people on the facility 24 hours a day. Classic hotel super clean I never saw an insect. Superior room service they come by room 5 days a week. Internet service about 10mb
- Jennifer Wellington (9/5): Excellent Downtown Choice - Spotless and charming historic hotel. Simple and practical .Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice kitchen and dining tables downstairs. Excellent location to walk into Juarez for dental appointment. Proximity to many good places to eat.
It was quiet and no one else in the hostel room my first 2 nights. Guests who came in were quiet and respectful. There is a loud bar nearby. The first night (Sun) it was really noisy but but I was so tired I could sleep through anything. And, the staff had advised me and they do offer earplugs.
The electric plugs were loose, for trying to plug a phone charger in, and a bit distant from the bed so I couldn't sit or lay in bed and use my phone while it was charging.
I would have liked a little clip lamp or book light for inside my curtained bunk.
No cup or glass in room. Needed to ask for a cup for water.
No bath mat . When I realized it, I was ready to get in the shower & didn't want to bother to get re-dressed to go downstairs to ask for one. After showering, my socks got soaked when I walked back into the bathroom.
- David (9/5): Delightful and helpful staff, lots of character, made our stay in El Paso memorable - Historic, close to downtown All good

- Jeivi Abraham (9/5): Buen lugar para descanzar! - Instalaciones limpias y comodas. El personal muy amable! La zona en particular no fue de mi agrado ya que esta ubicado en Zona LGBT, Pero Igual caminando a solo unos minutos encuentras el centro Centro , plaza san jacinto y otros buenos lugares para visitar!

- Susan (10/5): FABULOUS AND FRIENDLY - The hotel itself is a beautiful old hotel. Its like a museum and they play music from the era. It's super clean . The staff are very friendly and professional. There are heaps of room to hang out if you don't want to be in your room. The kitchen facilities were great. Hotel is central and I didn't find the area that noisy. There is not much to dislike.. Everything was pretty spot on.
- Nynamaree (10/5): - Extremely clean room. Allowed early check in. Staff checked us when we walked in to be sure we belonged there. Only two free parking spaces right in front if needed- metered parking otherwise - check the city’s website. The historic details were fun. Bed was a single mattress on metal frame but once you’re sleeping easy to disregard. Ac unit in room plus a fan. Bathroom access was scary to think about but it worked just fine. Only had to wait for use once during our stay. The kitchen and tv/billiard room was super cool for people staying longer. Plus the available laundry access was a great consideration. Especially loved the email offering nearby discounts. Definitely worth it.
- Lucinda (10/5): - My favorite place to say whenever I'm in El Paso. This hundred year old hotel has a lot of history so if you love history and all things vintage this is the place for you. Convenient location close to restaurants, coffeeshops and bars. The staff is friendly and helpful and do a great job at keeping the hotel clean.
- Iker (10/5): - Great value for your $
- Randy (8/5): - like the historic aspects, but only 2 assigned parking spots for 50 rooms… Downtown though, so there are garages nearby.
- Brittany (10/5): Vintage Historic Hostel In West Texas - It’s an older property with a lot of history. Staff was great, I enjoyed the free coffee in the morning, I liked that there was a full kitchen available for guest usage in which I did take advantage of. I really liked that they also had both showers and bathtubs available. A few restaurants nearby offer discounts if you’re staying at the hostel/hotel. I would definitely recommend. If only there was nice a pool to lay out by.
- Cusicanqui (9/5): Great hotel! - Convenience, price, location, etc. N/A.
- Claudia (7/5): - It was good for a few days and near all things to do in El Paso Bed was not the comfiest. Receptionist couldn’t provide recommendations on things to do
- Ellen (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Will be booking here every time! - Property was great! Front desk host was amazing, vey informative and honest about the hotel and surrounding area. Very polite! Stayed in the 1 bed with private bathroom. Bed was comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean and well put together. I travel a lot through El Paso I will continue to book here every time! Maybe update the carpets in bedrooms.
- Marcus H. Langston (8/5): Beautifully preserved historic hotel with friendly staff and comfortable clean rooms. - I really enjoyed the history of The Gardener hotel and was very grateful for Gable (receptionist) to gave me a guided tour and further details of the hotel's artifacts and stories. My room was very pleasant -- it felt like being in an old wild west saloon. The bed was comfy, the back out curtains effective and there were plenty of power points. I was grateful for the discount offer at the next door bar as i arrived late after a 36-hour journey and needed a drink! In the morning i was offered a nicely brewed coffee when I checked our for my flight back. Quite expensive to get an Uber to from the airport. I got the bus back in the morning for US$1.50. I would have appreciated some shampoo in the shared bathroom. I had to use the soap I had in my wash-kit for my hair.
- Nigel (9/5): Enter a time Wild West time capsule and enjoy - A superb atmospheric location. Spooky corridors and basement!
- Claire (10/5): -
- Chun Nan (10/5): -
- Jordan (10/5): -
- SHIOU CHEN (6/5): 無 - 地點靠近迪士尼 衛生有待加強有蟑螂
- Julie (10/5): - I love staying at the Gardner. Great location and great value.
- Alejandra (10/5): - The manager was very attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean, and the linens smelled awesome. That 4 bed shared rooms are only available for 2 weeks at a time, then you have to get a room with 1 bed and the price goes up. Other than this i didn't want to leave
- Tafur (10/5): Perfecta tranquila - Todo Todo me gustó
- Stephen (10/5): - It’s a great place to stay and close to everything
- Stephen (10/5): - Awesome but didn’t get the free drink mmm although I forgot to ask about it
- Otgontuya (6/5): -
- Ambrose (10/5): -
- Craig (6/5): - Location was good had an appointment right around the corner Bed was hard
- Sarah (3/5): Staff didn’t want to give me my deposit because of a towel that was “stained “ supposedly. Not even a big towel it was a - Nice location The staff .. rude
- Troy (9/5): Superb -
- Željko (10/5): Exceptional - Gardner Hostel is so different, it is full of interesting history. They have nice decorated lobby interior and other parts of hotel, too. And it's in the very center of El Paso downtown. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. I would recomend the hostel to anyone.
- Jecories (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodriquez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeff (10/5): - Staff was amazing. When people are invested in what they are doing, it shows. Would stay here again 10 out of 10 times!
- Lillyousa (2/5): NOT KIDS FRIENDLY - Employee weren't patient and rude. There is only 2 parking spaces for hotel.
- Stephen (10/5): - Everything was great. Hotel was very clean and quiet. The hotel is very accessible to everything downtown. Excellent stay!!!
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely and value - It was the last spot available in town bc of the Coldplay concert. I had to take a room with only a shared bathroom, yet it was lovely and clean, spacious with a sink and big window, comfy bed.. had a great sleep. Really central too. As far as hostel hotels go, 5 stars :)
- Catalina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yulissa (1/5): Never staying again - It was clean and nice I didn’t liked that. I booked the night and when I went there they said there where no rooms available so supposedly they just talk to his manager and they told me that I have to reschedule again and there’s going to be an extra charge but they charge me 180 dollar for a night plus the 33 from booking
- Jennifer (10/5): Beautiful old hotel, great value - Staff was so nice, welcoming and helpful. Beds had blackout curtains. Downstairs common space with a kitchen and room to hang out.
- Henry (10/5): Rich History! - What a beautiful building so much characters and history! I stayed in the John Dillinger’s room which is a corner room- it was so comfortable and interesting room. Definitely will be back!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (8/5): - Clean, cozy, but the beds can improve and is noisy, you can hear the other room’s conversation, they warn us about the outside noise because of nearby bars but it wasn’t that bad.
- Anonymous (10/5): Pleasant comfortable stay - The location is good. Easy to reach with bus from the airport. It’s walkable through the down town area. Nice lobby very originally decorated. The single Room is really comfortable, and spacious. And has the commodities one needs.
And you get discount to the places around the hotel. Can use some sound proofing. From the neighboring rooms. And maybe from the clubs downstairs
- jackmC1218NH (10/5): Coldplay - Great team here at the gardener! Darryl you the man!! 😎 loved my stay will definitely be back! El Paso is hot! Bring a swimsuit!
- Vince (10/5): - Great staff. Clean old look. Only issue is the parking
- Haydn (6/5): Pleasant - It’s quiet and I was the only person in my dorm Laundry is expensive, kitchen is small, the whole place is old
- Torras (7/5): Stay there ok - Good Not good
- Robert (10/5): Amazingly comfortable stay! - Great historic charm with a wonderful staff. Wish cafe next door would have opened earlier for breakfast.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kari (7/5): Good -
- Travel (10/5): Hostel room was good for the price - The price to quality ratio was good.
I stayed in a 4 bed male hostel room. There was only one other person staying with me in the room, and they were cool.
I also liked the downstairs kitchen and recreational area. That area was much bigger and nicer than expected. There are no problems that I can think of.
- Nicholas (8/5): Great period hotel with loads of history in a great location -
- Hdz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (7/5): Good -
- Aragonez (10/5): Super friendly staff all around. Clean environment - Super clean! N/A

- Starship (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect and the hotel is beautiful. Anyone interested in history this is a must stay. Gable (swing shift desk clerk) is so knowledgeable about the hotel and the history of it and El Paso. The hotel is beautifully restored and all the employees seem to take great pride in it. Discounts are offered at some of the surrounding establishments. My stay was fantastic!
