- Jonathan (9/5): Spacious and well equipped with big, fascinating antique/memorabilia and coffee shop over the road. - Two bedroom unit was a treat with its own balcony/deck. Really spacious with well equipped kitchen including big fridge/freezer which was great for us. Owner was lovely at check in. Very close to the main road with some big milk trucks heaving up the hill.

We did hiking on Akaroa/Mt Cook and this place is close enough to stay.

- Olga (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at Bures Pass Country Motels. The room was very clean and tidy, everything felt well looked after. The shower is new and stylish, and the mirror is great. I also appreciated the care for breakfast — toast with butter and jam was provided, which was a nice touch. And the host is absolutely wonderful — very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
- Mo (9/5): Peace and quiet - It was in a very tranquil area. The only “unusual” you will hear is the traffic you might hear passing over the highway. The hosting couple is very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfy and everything looked neat and clean. We absolutely loved the church opposite the road. A-must-visit!! The vintage and Antiques store across the road is worth the visit as well. -

Great setting and Phil was on hand in case we needed anything at all, but we did not as everything was there, cleaned and worked. We slept so well in great bedding, great shower and some toast for breakfast. Just great!👍 Thank you Phil and to our new cat friend also. Absolutely nothing, except that we could not stay longer.

Die Einrichtung erinnert ein bisschen an die Anfänge der 2000er und es ist etwas lieblos gestaltet.

Only 15 -20 minutes to Lake Tekapo as well, and if there fo the Observatiry on the hill for stunning views The owners are super friendly and helpful and make great coffee from their barista machine.

The unit was cosy and comfortable with a microwave and portable hob. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area as well as doing a beautiful scenic drive alongside Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook. Megan and Phil were great hosts. It was all good.
