We did have some issues with the cleanliness of our room and being given a room of lesser value than we paid for although this was sorted very easily with the help of staff.

- Robert (7/5): Lovely view. Punishing hill. - Spectacular views and a lovely private pool. Great for the family with a spacious 3 bedroom apartment. The hill up to the resort is extremely steep. I had a slight knee injury while there and walking up and down the hill was impossible. Without having a car, leaving the property has be organised. There’s no quickly going down the road to grab some food etc. While there is an on site shuttle service, it doesn’t seem to go very often, if at all. Maintenance could be carried out more often.

- ALl MOHAMMED (5/5): - This is my third time staying at this place, but I have recently noticed that they have become extremely money-oriented. For example, when my young child vomited on the bed, instead of charging me for laundry, they forced me to pay a replacement fee as if the item was permanently damaged. Additionally, the towels and linens are already very worn out and should be considered consumable items, not charged as new replacements. When I discussed this issue with the supervisor, his response was unprofessional. He told me, “This is our laundry service, and we set the prices. If you don’t like it, contact your booking provider.” Such an attitude and policy are unacceptable for returning guests. Due to this disappointing experience, I will not be staying here again in the future

Öffentlicher Pool mit Snackbar angenehm. Die Zuwegung auf einer sehr steilen Straße ist sehr schwierig und abenteuerlich. Bitte unbedingt erfahrenen Taxi-oder TukTuk-Fahrer buchen! Die Bausubstanz ist nicht gut instandgehalten und gepflegt. Hier und da lockere Fliesen, kleinere Wasserschäden an den Wänden, Wasser in Waschbecken läuft schlecht ab, Silikonfugen z.T. sehr verdreckt, TV ohne Programme, Geschirr z.T. beschädigt, Klimaanlagen z.T. defekt bzw. nicht regelbar. Rooftop-Pool Steuerkonsole defekt. Fazit: Der erwartbare Luxus war im Detail nicht zu finden. Hier müsste der Eigentümer mehr Einfluss nehmen!

Nicht angemeldete Bauarbeiten, welche am Morgen einem weckt, Winkelschleifer und Kupferhammer um ein Gelände zu renovieren, dies um 8 Uhr morgens, mehrere Tage lang. Kommunikation per what's up, nach anfragen wie lange die Bauarbeiten gehen würden und das man informiert werden sollte, kam eine die Antwort das keine Kleider auf der Terasse zum trocknen aufgehängt werden darf und es wurde gar nicht darauf eingegangen Strom Kosten waren 6500 bath für 4 Nächte, komplette Abzocke. Muss am Schluss bezahlt werden, müsst das kleingedruckte sowie überprüft die Zähler. Es war nahe einem Drittel des Hotel Preises. Grab und Boot Fahrer sind nicht Glücklich um da rauf zu fahren. Die Kommunikation des angebliches Management ist nicht professionell und unhöflich. Toilette funktionierte nicht richtig, sowie ging die Klimaanlage nur auf 24Grad runter, hier wieder Achtung, Stromkosten werden zusätzlich bezahlt und mit einem Foto(welches einfach per Printscreen manipuliert werden) als Beweis benutzt. - Strom Kosten separat, ein Drittel des Hotel preises - unhöfliches Management und ihre Kommunikation - nicht sauber, Dusche und Bad - Reinigung alle 3 Tage, bedeutet Müll lehren, wischen und Toiletten Papier wird aufgefüllt, keine frischen Badetücher... Kein Vergleich zu einem normalen Hotel - Lage zu steil, für wenig erfahrene Biker ist abzuratten selbst zu fahren

Would’ve been a superb resort when new, but the villa I booked was definitely behind in maintenance. I did enjoy my stay but it was heavily discounted. I would not have been happy with the condition had I paid full price.

They have a courtesy truck but it only goes twice a day so not very convenient.a great concept but the finish is ordinary. Balcony slopes away from drain. No ceiling fan so very hot or noisy aircon. - Sili (6/5): The view was there, the luxury wasn’t - The apartment was bright and spacious, with plenty of natural light throughout. With three bedrooms, it comfortably accommodated 3 people without feeling crowded. The location, combined with the stunning view, made our stay special. We informed the staff via WhatsApp that we would arrive after 4 PM. Upon arrival, the apartment was extremely hot, over 29°C and it took nearly two hours to cool it down. When we complained, we were told that apartments are not pre-cooled because management refuses to cover electricity costs if there is no guests. Excuse me? A very poor approach to welcome guest and the comfort. I kept wondering who actually pays for the vacuum cleaner usage during cleaning (if not the guest). But by now, I think they don’t even vacuum at all, they just use a broom. A staff member who came to fix the safe, he opened the safe but didn’t show how to use it. Our waterfall at the private pool wasn’t working. The cleanliness also left much to be desired, stains around the kitchen sink and stovetop, as well as hair left behind from previous guests, are things no one should have to encounter upon arrival. Although the pictures shown before booking clearly display a carpet that is meant to create a cozy atmosphere in the living area. The apartment (E3) is in serious need of maintenance and renovation: • Doors are damaged • Kitchen surfaces are worn and warped • Sofas and dining chairs are old and partly broken (one even collapsed during our stay) • Dirty main outdoor shower • A removed TV in one bedroom left holes and fixtures in the wall. • Worn-out towels with stains and holes At checkout, we were surprised by the high charges for electricity and AC, $ 170 for six days. You don’t actually know how much they’ll charge you until the day you leave, but I definitely wasn’t expecting a bill that high plus card payment charge 3%. Tip: Rent a car or scooter, walking to town is not ideal. We rented a scooter on bikago (they deliver for free incl insurance).

The shower in the second bathroom floods half of the bathroom. The road climbing up to the complex is 19 degrees steep, so some cars can't take 4 passengers up it and it's not walkable.

We also felt the price paid for the accommodation was good value for money. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying at The View due to its location. The View is located on top of a very steep hill - the gradient is almost completely vertical - making walking up and down it very dangerous. Individuals who are disabled or who have young children with prams etc. should avoid the property. In addition, the electricity and cleaning fee were overpriced for Thailand. Online the property states it offers an airport shuttle but when we enquired about the service we were told they do not offer this. In addition, the bar/restaurant closes at 1830 which is inconvenient, especially due to the property’s location.

- Paula (10/5): The View Phuket - We did 17 nights in the middle of a six week trip. The restaurant at the pool area and the shuttle service were extremely positive additions to our stay. The staff were all courteous and friendly and The View lived up to its name.
- Peter (2/5): Terrible apartment number F2 - Nothing Was nothing like the 5* luxury they claim, spa was dirty yellow water, towels were so old and threadbare, full of holes and stains from so much use, place smells damp, only 1 AC works, every handle or metal in bathroom rusty , toilet buttons broke second use, 1 of which had been broken long ago and never fixed , dining table chairs fabric all split open, kitchen and utensils all sticky and dirty, outside the balcony is a building site all day Was so bad we had to relocate at our cost after few days And be prepared to be overcharged for electric, even they have a meter inside the apartment , they have another that we have no access to check and end up a big bill overcharged for a utility which is or should be very low cost in Thailand Terrible place , apartment number F2 is to be avoided
- Catheryn (6/5): - The hill going up is steep. If you plan to walk to the beach and back, be aware you will be going up the same steep driveway as the cars. The property is good for those that like the solitude of having a home away from home at the bare minimum. Paying for the electricity is fine, but it is a bit steep in pricing. Using the agrab app for getting food delivery etc is wonderful though. Please note, while some tours do pick you up, some will not drive up the slope, as their car is unable to make it. You will need to meet them at the bottom or elsewhere.
- Richard (5/5): Passable - The view itself is amazing and the plunge pool great. The actual quality of the place was not great. Patio door not lock. 2 good bedrooms and two good bathrooms but 1 bad. It was damp high windows with bad blinds. 2 members of our party seemed to get food poisoning from the onsite resturant. We had 1 full day ruined by a neumatic drill which arrived without notice. People need to check the small print about paying for electric which we missed and is an extra chunk. And finally it is up the steepest hill in Thailand.. It's OK to walk down in a big bag but you need a taxi back and some won't even do it. When it's been raining it's 4x4 only.

Alors que moi j’ai changer 3 fois de logement en 9 jours. Je m’explique pour commencer on m’a mis dans un logement qui ne correspondait pas à ce que j’avais pris, le mec de l’accueil m xplique que c’est pour une nuit et que demain j’aurais mon logement déjà je suis pas content car je peux même pas m’installer, je précise que j’ai réserver une n octobre pour février! Le lendemain il me donne un logement degeulasse je demande à changer et avoir le meme logement que mon cousin car on a payer et pris la même chose, il m’explique que c’est full et qu’il n’y a pas de place qu’il est désoler mais qu’il a que ça. J’écris alors à hôtels.com pour me plaindre!! Le lendemain il me fait visiter 2 logements et me demande de choisir ni l’un ni l’autre ne correspondent à ce que j’avais pris et à ce que j’avais payer. J’ai accepter un des 2 car pas le choix. Le logement que j’ai pris été plus propre que l’autre mais des remonter d’odeur dégoût émané des salle de bain le jacuzzi à l’extérieur trop salle pour se baigner bref trop de point négatif je vais demander un dédommagement à hôtels.com pour la gêne occasionnée. Ha oui il mon demander de rajouter 1800€ si je voulais un logement pour mon cousin la blague alors que j’avais déjà payer et validé ce dont j’avais le droit. Bref trop de chose à dire. Ne pas se fier au photos
- Timo (10/5): - Stor og fint leilighet med kjempefin havutsikt. Basseng og treningsrom i komplekset, samt en restaurant ved bassenget var fint å ha! Noen av stedene i leiligheten hadde nok trengt litt fornyelse, men helheten var bra. Hotellet ligger på en fjell, så det er len bratt bakke å gå eller kjøre opp! Vi brukte hotellets Shuttle bil så ofte som mulig, det fungerte fint. Måtte betale for strøm ved utsjekk, som reglene sa, så vi var forberedt på det, men det var absolutt ikke billig!! Man må betale depositum med kontanter ved ankomst. Kommunikasjon foregikk via whatsapp og fungerte fint. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Alt i alt veldig fornøyd!!

We needed help with the luggage since we were with kids but no help was offered. We wanted to throw our waste in a trash bin so we asked the staff where the trash bin was since our dustbin was full, no help again. They just said go around that corner & look for it. Nobody came to change our bedsheet or towels during the duration of the stay. No housekeeping duties were carried out and in spite of already paying such a huge amount for the stay, we had to pay the electricity bill separately, this is a first for me. If only they train the staff to be more courteous and helpful, this property has potential to be a 10.

- Changsheng (10/5): - The hotel rooms offers amazing sea views and it is very clean. Love the infinity pool on the property. There are lots of dining options near the hotel. There is a steep hill to the hotel, some taxi drives would not like to drive up.

Pool area was pretty great. Ample parking space. The biggest setback was the fact that the place was totally self service. For the kind of money that they charge it should be a fully serviced apartment. So definitely not value for money. Also the access isn't easy, the road is sooo steep that you wont be able to walk to your apartment. Every time we had to go to the street we had to get a taxi. Sometimes even the taxi would fail to go up the steep road. And trust me it might not seem a lot, it does spoil the whole experience.

- Tammy (5/5): Disappointing - The infinity pool was great and the fitness centre well equipped. Unfortunately the villa we stayed in had a dirty, stained lounge and dining chairs. One of the outdoor chairs was broken, so there was only seating for one person, despite 3 of us staying there. The villa was in need of a good clean, and a refresh of new linen.
- Charlie (5/5): Beautiful views but slightly disappointing stay. - The hotel itself is beautiful and the infinity pool is a wonderful addition. The views from the room were exceptional (so the hotel definitely earns its name). We had been worried about the separate electricity payment since other reviews said they had been shocked by the cost at the end, but ours was fine (about £25 for 5 days). Our wifi broke repeatedly over our stay. We reported it instantly each time, but sometimes it took a while for someone to come fix it - and it was never fixed for long. This was a problem as one of us was working during the trip, so had to purchase an eSim so we could hotspot. Our hot tub was also broken the whole time (after the first night where it made constant noise and kept us awake), so we didn't get to make any use of it. The staff were lovely but we felt that they didn't take our complaints seriously at the time.

- Mark (2/5): - A beautifully designed property which fell short of expectations. Staff were difficult to deal with at times. Parking for my rental motorbike was limited to a tiny areas where all the other motorbikes are herded into a small area, resulting of course in incidental damage to all of them. I parked in another area where there were staff motorbikes, including those contraptions with sidecars, and they booted me (locked the cycle). I am NOT a fan of this hypocrisy where staff make things easy on themselves and have a double standard for others, as the place I parked would in no way interfere with anyone. Staff answer the phones only rarely if you need to call them. This caused us problems on 3 occasions. Gym is dysfunctional. One of the AC units in my condo was dysfunctional. The furniture was cheap and unacceptable. No trash cans were provided... only 2 tiny waste paper baskets which overflowed after just one meal, requiring us to take our trash up flights of stairs. The hill coming to the facility is steeper than any I've ever seen in my life. Not an issue, except when you book a van, which may sometimes refuse to come up there, as they bottom out on the paving. The price they charge for electricity is confiscatory. I practiced care in using the electricity but was still given a ridiculously high bill, the exact figure of which can't be quoted here because of expedia regs. Ditto cleaning fee. I'd never go again.
- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional - The locatation and views were amazing, kids loved all the pools. Apartment was huge and had everything we needed for our stay. Glad we had a rental car the hill up to the resort is very steep!
- Eyad (7/5): Could’ve been better if they delivered my luggage. - The view was incredible, the sunset looked amazing and the beds were comfortable It was really difficult to deliver my luggage to the apartment as it was far and many stairs to climb. They charged a high price for the electricity although I only stayed for 2 nights. Also, there were too many lizards around the compound.
- Shirlyn (1/5): Bad with the worst reception attitude - A frustrating experience occurred at this hotel that deserves to be shared. During a recent stay, a glass-top table in the room, which wasn’t securely attached to its steel base, fell and damaged an iPhone. The phone was simply placed on the edge of the table when it toppled over. When the incident was reported to the reception, indifference was met. The staff claimed it was the fault of the guest for not being careful, insisting that the table was safe to use. This dismissive attitude suggested that it was the responsibility of customers to inspect every piece of furniture in the hotel before using it. This seemed unreasonable. Guests shouldn’t have to check whether a table is suitable for placing belongings. There were no warnings about the table’s instability, nor any indication that it was not safe for use. When it was pointed out that the kitchen dining table was securely glued, the manager simply stated it was different because it was a "room bedside table." This logic was baffling. To illustrate the point, an example of renting a car was brought up. The manager was asked if it would be the customer’s fault in the event of an accident because the brakes were not checked before driving. He insisted it would indeed be the customer’s responsibility. So, according to him, if a car was rented and an accident occurred due to faulty brakes, it would be the customer’s fault for not checking? This stance was perplexing. Frustration grew when the reception manager threatened that if the police were called to report the incident, charges would be made for the damaged table. It was disheartening to see a place chosen for a vacation handle a situation so poorly. The potential danger if a child were to be near that table was also noted, but the manager’s response was, "It’s dangerous for you, not for me." As a foreigner navigating a language barrier, feeling trapped was unavoidable.

- Aata (9/5): The best accommodation in both Kata and Karon beach. Spectacular views and facilities - Wow!! This place is pretty spectacular! We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment with own pool and direct view of the ocean. This place is incredible. I loved that there were multiple pools and a bar/restaurant for snacks and cocktails. Best location for sunsets. The apartment itself was lovely, spacious, clean, and offered good fast internet. The onsite gym was also a bonus. The property is at the top of a very steep driveway so not the easiest walk into town. We still walked as we didn’t mind and easy enough to get a taxi down and back up.

- Ylj (6/5): Stunning view, but numerous issues and poor service made it disappointing - - The view from the hotel is stunning, living up to its name. - The property is spacious with charming natural light. - The public pool is nice and offers a great view. - The staff is very responsive on WhatsApp, always there when you need them, though not very helpful in fixing issues like the jacuzzi. - The property guard is very responsible, checking every taxi driver’s ID at the gate. - We had a sweet and welcoming check-in experience, even though it was late due to our flight. - The jacuzzi in our private pool wasn’t ready to use. We reported the issue on Friday, and they promised to fix it on Saturday but didn’t follow up until I chased them. The maintenance team finally came on Sunday and installed a missing component, but this delay was very frustrating. - We saw a cockroach in the kitchen upon check-in, which was very off-putting. - During our stay, we encountered a frog in the kitchen and another in the smaller public pool. - The private pool shower can’t be turned on by guests. We had to notify the management team each time we wanted it on, which wasn’t explained in the booking listing and led to a mismatch in expectations. - The property shows signs of age with wear and tear everywhere. There was mold in the bathroom, water leaking in the master bathroom, and an unattractive fix for the leak. - The guest bathroom has an “outdoor” shower area, but it was too dirty to use. - Electricity is not included in the room price, costing us about $12/day, which we expected from past comments but still found disappointing. - The road connecting the main road to the hotel is very steep, making it impossible to walk to Kata streets. We expected this from previous comments, but it was still inconvenient.
