Guest Reviews
- Fotini (8/5): - It’s was value for money
- Myra (6/5): - Dirty floor and bed
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - memorable stay - I had a wonderful stay. From the minute I checked in with Hanna, I knew this would be a special experience. She walked me through the rest area where I could relax and grab a coffee or water. She showed me the deck where I could cool off in the evening after dinner. It came in handy because it was so hot in the afternoon, I went to the air conditioned area and stayed cool until I could go out for a walk and dinner in the late afternoon. The room was small, but the layout was so clever that I felt very comfortable. Great bathroom and shower. I had a window that I could open to get fresh air from the direction of the sea. Unexpected great value for the money. And the location- close the the train station and a short walk to the beach and shops. WOW
- Ivaylo (6/5): - We are told this is a business hotel hence there are no fridges and wardrobes provided in the room…for that sort of price you’d expect to have more than 3 clothes hangers. Difficult parking 100m away from the hotel and quite noisy location being next to Cannes Central Gare…didn’t do very well in researching the property before I booked, which is my fault too…
- Shehab (6/5): - Small room it should say 3 star not 4 star
Parking problems
- Anna (10/5): - Cool, comfy accommodations after a hot travel day. Exceptional front desk staff. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel lounge offering complimentary juice, coffee, snacks - fabulous. Equally fabulous bed/bed linens. Would book again in a heartbeat.
- Renee (10/5): - Excellent service
- Adam (10/5): - More than I expected, the reception area open 24x7 truly amazing food.
- Dave (6/5): Great location. Very odd rooms. - Very friendly staff. Great location. Extremely odd rooms with a very peculiar shaped toilet/shower room. It has timber slats with glass, meaning anyone in the bedroom can see directly in! Very odd indeed. We had a room at the front and it was extremely noisy at about 5am with trucks doing deliveries.
- Danielle (4/5): - The AC in our room barely worked and wasn’t making our room cold. I called and complained about this several times and all I was given was a fan. They said the technician would come to our room but nothing was ever fixed. The nights were very hot. Also, our bathroom sink wouldn’t drain water and we had to wait until the next day to get it fixed. The sink was almost overflowing with water. In addition, my sister and I went up to the common area to have a glass of wine that we brought ourselves before dinner. We decided to stay inside in the AC because it was very hot out on the rooftop. The waitress came over and kicked us out, saying we weren’t allowed to bring in outside food/drink. Considering this was the only indoor common space, we should be allowed to bring in our own drink if we need AC. Also, the leather from the couch in our room was completely ripped. The rooms are small and it would be nice to offer a space where you can put/open up your luggage. Convenient location next to the train station.
- Sara (10/5): - It was a very comfortable and convenient stay. Nicely designed room and easy access to many amenities
- Maria (8/5): - The room wasn't cleaned as thoroughly as it should have been when I arrived. The glass in the cupboard was sticky around the rim, and the inside of the cupboard hadn’t been properly cleaned. During my stay, the wash basin also wasn’t cleaned, as I noticed toothpaste marks left from brushing my teeth in the morning. Additionally, I was woken up early by the noise of the dustbin lorry, which was quite disruptive. That said, the staff were excellent and extremely helpful and the rooftop and lounge facilities were outstanding - providing a wonderful outdoor space to relax and enjoy a drink.
- Gina (10/5): Still my favorite hotel in Cannes - Wonderful stay. Location was superb. However, the 1 plate aperitivo and snacks offered were not as bountiful as before. There used to be quite a spread of charcuterie, salads, selection of cold drinks, yogurts and other tasty morsels. Now, you even have to ask for the small plate in the evening. Lounge staff not as attentive in the evening. One can hear them chatting in the kitchen area behind doors. I found the receptionists and cleaning staff very pleasant.
- Shreya (10/5): Excellent service - Excellent service, convenient location steps away from the train station, easy walks around Cannes, great restaurants nearby, loved it!
- Fatma Arzu (10/5): - great staff, location, discounted next door parking, rooftop facilities
- John Christopher (10/5): - A perfectly lovely stay in a beautifully
- John (10/5): - Stylish central hotel and ticks all the boxes for smart convenient quiet & clean with added bonus of an amazing and hospitable team
- Michael (10/5): Perfect locatoin & nice perks - We've used Okko hotels at least half a dozen times: Paris, Nice, Toulon, Cannes. They are always in super convenient locations for travelers, and while rooms re smallish for N Am hotels, very cleverly designed, with the perks that matter.
Really good bed linens, fast hot showers, safes, etc.
Al the Okkos we've been in also offer BIG stylish lounge areas with coffee, juices, waters, snacks available all day for guests.
At the Cannes location that lounge area is on the 7th (6th European) floor with views and an outdoor terrace. Something we've enjoyed very much both times we've stayed here.
Literally step off the train, in two minutes you're at the hotel and within a couple blocks of pretty cafes, great restaurants, both cool & luxurious shops - five minutes to the waterfront.
Absolutely a winner!
- belinda (6/5): Needs a bit of a makeover. - I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, but it’s starting to show its age & it’s tired in many places which are mainly in the rooms.
The design of the rooms, I am sure when first put into place was a great ideas, but unfortunately due to the design this has left places in the room unable to be cleaned & maintained to a standard the hotel is aiming for.
The room in general I was in was tired, from the furniture being marked badly, to a tile being broken in the bathroom which led to an accident of me cutting my foot open & hitting my head on a desk. Not great.
The incident was dealt with the next day by the team & I was moved to another room. I appreciated this m, but this incident did leave my opinion marred by the accident.
The hotel is in a great location & I am unsure if I would personally stay here again & instead may chose the Nice location instead. Shame as I always liked staying at this hotel but I feel it just needs a bit of a pick me up.
- Gary (10/5): - A fantastic stay, great welcome, and all facilities are excellent. Highly recommend,
- Maria (10/5): - Staff was superb, the rooms are spacious, being France, the decor was very peculiar, nice, and the complimentary pastries, coffee and tea is a great touch, the only thing is that google maps takes you to the other side of the hotel, were there is no entrance. I had that same issue with Uber.
- nicholas (8/5): Great location - Very helpful after check out, letting me use facilities. Thanks Sam and Kevin - great staff.
- James (10/5): 2 nights in Cannes - I regularly stay in this hotel and it never disappoints
Very convenient for Cannes Station and local shops and restaurants
Rooms and quiet, clean and comfortable
- Mei Kwan (8/5): - It is very easy to find and the location is excellent. The staff has given me a warm welcome and clear briefing about here. Everything is good!
- John (10/5): - Overall a good stay, would stay again.
- Jack (10/5): - Incredible hotel - could not be closer to the train station while still being quiet. Incredible value for money. The bedrooms are great and clean.
The staff are the true reason this hotel is so good. They could not have been more accommodating, they went above and beyond what would be the expected. The rooftop bar and terrace are also great places to escape from the heat at times !
Will be back
- Julianna (10/5): - Beautiful location. Amazing staff!
- Prince (10/5): - Air conditioning not good at all they control temperature on 24 and fans they have no air in that looks like show piece .
- Ella (6/5): Great for a short stay - The hotel is very convent next to the station and a 10-15 min walk from the beach.
I wish it had more amenities - body lotion, toothbrush etc. The tv didn’t have English speaking channels or an option to have subtitles. The room was a good size for one person but I think it would be a struggle for 2 people with large suitcases.
The roof top is lovely but the snack bar is just some stale biscuits and coffee.
- Raad (8/5): - the bed espicaly matres and comfort are not comfotabl other thing is fine clean,24 hours lounge, near every thing
- RAMZI (10/5): - Amazing hotel city center
- Khaled (10/5): - The quality of the hotel plus how they maintain the facilities since 20q7 we stay always there
- Khaled (10/5): - The location is great dourounded by everthing
- Zineb (10/5): - Nice location
- Samantha (8/5): - This property was a very nice stay, the staff were nice and it was in range of all the places we wanted to go.
- belinda (10/5): Great place. - Great staff. Great location. Only issue is the pillows are basically too soft - I mean; it’s enough to hurt my neck. But that’s my only gripe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place. - Great staff. Great location. Only issue is the pillows are basically too soft - I mean; it’s enough to hurt my neck
- Rhiannon (10/5): Central and good eco initiatives, recommended. - Central, very clean and comfortable, with a lovely welcoming team. And an above-average approach to eco issues. Will certainly return.
- Nicholas (10/5): Great hotel terrible en suite - Great hotel, loved the upstairs area for hot drinks etc. Please add some privacy to the en suites they are awful
- RAY CECIL (10/5): - Good service and good system
- Natalia (10/5): - The best location in Cannes.
- Daniel (10/5): The Perfect Base Camp - Cannes is an excellent base for touring the French Riviera, and the OKKO hotel is a perfect base. We LOVED the fact that it was 100 feet from the train station allowing us easy access to transportation, and just 4 blocks from the beach and all of the wonderful stores & restaurants in Cannes. The roof top terrace with free drinks (nonalcoholic) and snacks just added to the pleasure.
- Michael (10/5): - Perfect location, pleasant staff, clean room.
- Randall (8/5): - Staff was great, and room was nice. Great location.
- Claudio fabian (10/5): - Todo perfecto muchas gracias
- james (8/5): - I have stayed at the Okko several times. It is very convenient for Cannes Station, rooms are comfortable and breakfast superb
- JP (10/5): - Great hotel with very nice amenities and lovely staff. Aziz was extremely helpful.
- Michael (8/5): Perfect for early train ride - Adjacent to the Cannes railway station. The area around the station is actually quite nice. Excellent staying here for an early train.
Rooms are small but new and clean Bed could be more comfortable.
- Erhan (2/5): - Our experience in the hotel was spoiled with the absence of water for half a day and no hot water when we needed. We were disappointed with it and raised the issue with the management. The young lady who told us that she was the manager agreed with our request to reimburse our hotel fee, but asked us to go through Wotif, and she promised that they would agree to pay it back. However when we went through Wotif for reimbursement, Okko hotel management did not keep their promise.
I would not trust a hotel management who doesn’t keep their promise.
- james (10/5): Convenient central Cannes hotel - It was not my first stay at the OKKO Cannes. It is very convenient for the station. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast wonderful.
- james (10/5): 2 nights in central Cannes Hotel - Modern and spacious hotel next to Cannes Station
Room large a comfortable
Breakfast on 6th floor with great views superb
- Jamie (10/5): Great location. Contemporary vibe - Great location in Cannes next to train station. Rooms are small so for two travelling together it works but not if u are travelling with friends and want separate beds. The top floor area is great for breakfast and snacks. Good views from rooftop too. Very short walk to the beachfront.
- Achola (6/5): - The staff were rude to me and my partner and the room was not very clean
- James (10/5): - Great hotel and staff
- Gregory (8/5): Friendly staff - Hotel was a bit hard to find. Parking was not easy. Front desk and other staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable free snacks and beverages were an unexpected nice touch.
- Anas (10/5): - Great time spent here! Will be back.
- Carlos (10/5): - Excellent experience!!!
- Mona (10/5): - I recommend this hotel.it s very good what you spent especially in Cannes.it worth it
- Moshe (10/5): - Amazing stay. Amazing staff. Highly recommend.
- Paul (10/5): Okko Hotel Cannes - Great location. Steps from Gare de Cannes, blocks from the Croisette. Dozens of shop’s restaurants. Breakfast was amazing worth the price. And the lounge is open 24h. Love the coffee and water machine. Staff in the breakfast room were amazing and well as the hotel staff.
- Bobbie (10/5): - The staff and management at OKKO were amazing . They surpassed our previous experiences at the Martinez in terms of knowledge and friendliness. Well done we had an amazing stay thanks to the service.
- Bruna (8/5): Good value for money - Good value for money. Excellent location and amazing service (Marvin was a star)! Be aware that AC in the rooms were not functioning properly. Hotel is aware about it and hope issue can be solved quickly as summer in Nice can get quite warm.
- Mark (2/5): - AC NOT WORKING
HOW NICE TO BE HOT
- Gaetan (10/5): - This is a great hotel located next to the train station ( no luggage to carry around) and near stores and all sort of restaurants. Rooms are small, but modern. Front desk is also on top floor (different). You can easily find various restaurants near by and you can easily walk down to water front with plenty of shops along the way. Highly recommend!
- Alo (10/5): - Staff was very nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice, small, friendly staff, serounded with all what you need due to a great location
- Arron (10/5): - Great location and staff were amazing.
- Hannes (2/5): - How can a place like this have 4 stars. We felt tricked.
- Saud (6/5): - The room too small you can’t move but it is clean the Launch has nothing except coffee and tea it was much nicer on 2019 you can hangout on it with much choices of drinks and snacks..the location is nice
- Vanessa (2/5): - Very dirty air on didn’t work shower made the entire bathroom soaking because there was no divider
- hayri (2/5): - Never stay at this hotel!
- Seyed (4/5): - Laundry bags and iron were missing. Other in room amenities also missing
- Amanda (4/5): Worst hotel in our 15 nights in Europe. - Walking in the hotel smells of sewage. They have a plumbing issue because our shower backed up into our room soaking everything. The windows did not close all the way so noise was an issue when sleeping. The HVAC just blew air and it would not cool the room enough making it impossible to sleep. Service at the front desk at arrival was great. The rest of the time, service was terrible.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst service and deduct amount without permission - Worst service ever! They deducted from my bank without my permission an amount that they shouldn’t have and refuse to refund me! 2 weeks later i am calling them from abroad and sending emails and they are ignoring me! Very unprofessional!
- Nyrie (10/5): - There was an entire dining area with free coffee, water and treats throughout the day.
The staff were extremely kind.
Rooms are very nice and we’ll equipped.
- Iuliia (8/5): - It’s amazing concept of the hotel . Just one thing , it would be great to check the room before give it to the tourist . When we have changed the room out stay was amazing! Thank you very much .
- sigal (10/5): - Amazing hotel, decorated room, lobby and terrace available at all hours, close to everything.
- Claire (10/5): Relaxing city stay - Very easy check in process and staff were friendly. Brilliant relaxing areas and rooftop space. Comfortable room and free soft drinks available. Located next to train station but room was very quiet
- Beverly (8/5): - Convenient and friendly service
- Frank (2/5): What an ugly place… - The only good thing about this hotel is… nothing. It’s not even a hotel: it’s inside a taller building, the reception is on the 6th floor snd rooms are on the 4th floor. When me and my husband saw the condition of this joint, we looked at each other and thought we came to a wrong place. We even asked at the reception if they are sure this is s 4-star hotel. This place is an old let-go-of dump: the carpet is stained, the walls are dirty and haven’t been painted fir ages, the doors and all the wood are warped due to (probably) water damage; the room wax gloomy and dirty and I’m not sure if the bed sheets have been washed because I found hair all over - and it was not mine. How disgusting is that!!!
Honestly, if you position yourself as s 4-star hotel, shouldn’t you look accordingly? Or is everybody a millionaire these days and can spend $300-$400 a night to stay in a decent place?
All in all, what a complete disappointment!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect for business travel and staying for conferences. Close to everything and staff are so helpful.
- Robert (10/5): - Mary/Maryl (not sure I heard the name correctly) and staff are amazing. I will be coming back!
- Farnaz (10/5): Will book this hotel again - Really enjoyed my stay :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - very convenient location. Not too far from the seaside. There's a multi-story car garage adjacent to the hotel.
- Dania (10/5): - This hotel was awesome. Right at the train station. Absolutely close to everything & the service was amazing. Very pleased with the unlimited snacks and drinks. Rooms are small but good enough and have all the utilities. Bathrooms are beautiful and very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location! Somewhat small rooms but clean and well designed
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Weird concept.
Very rude and unfriendly young front desk girl
- Colleen (6/5): Awesome except weak WiFi and poor air-conditioning - Great location in Cannes. Staff is so so nice. awesome lobby full of free coffee, soda, snacks, and tapas at some point. I came to use the internet because the condo I was in had terrible internet. It was just okay and cut out a lot and the room was so hot. The air was on but it's awful and so weak. I just gave up and left and went back to the condo at 11pm. I didn't stay. at least the hot condo with lousy internet like the hotel had an ocean view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our second visit.
Location is superb - right next to bus & train station, very central.
Great breakfast. Good evening snacks. Very nice staff.
Rooms are small but have everything that you need (a couple of coat hooks would be useful).
Hope to be back in 2020 and also to try OKKO hotels elsewhere in France.
