Guest Reviews
- Frank (10/5): - Nice place outside of down town. Large room with kitchen amenities. Walk-in shower with skylight. Breakfast was included. Nice cafe right in the complex. Downtown in walking distance.
- Brett (6/5): - Nice pool and helpful, friendly staff.
- Miguel (2/5): - Me cobraron 2 veces
- Emma (6/5): - It was good to be away from the hustle and bustle but not the best hotel to stay at for longer than 3 days!
- Hazel (4/5): Worst and expensive - False advertisement. We booked 2 queen bed room but they said they don't have queen beds.
We've waited for 1 hour at the reception to get the booked room. The reception cant speak English. We've given a room but the window lock was broken, so its half open. No water coming out from the faucet nor from the shower. We were told to come back at 5pm so we can speak to someone who can speak english.
We're given a new room,.slightly better, but still - a run down, dusty room. Some lizzard poo on the wall.
Wifi speed - very slow or not working at all. No phone in the room, we're given 1 toilet paper for 2 days.
We didnt get toiletries the next day. On Day 2, theres no one at the reception to speak with when we cameback to the hotel from tours at around 5pm (and onwards). I went back several times and up to 9pm, no one at the reception.
Not easy to take shower, no water pressure. You have to wait for few minutes after using the toilet, if you want to use it again.
Im a well travelled person and I always used hotel. This is the worst hotel I have been so far considering the the amount I paid.
Don't rely on photos when booking.
- efren (10/5): - Nice place
- Sandra (10/5): -
The staff is warm, friendly and take care of the guests in the best way. The breakfasts are delicious and cooked the way you like. They will get you anything you need. The place is well maintained and clean. Two dogs live there and will entertain you. Minerva and Matt make a great team. I love Hotel Sumanu
- Jenna (4/5): - The room was okay and the people were nice. But we left after one night. The amenties that were promised were non existent. First of all, there is no cell reception and no wifi either. Its not close to the beach. There is no fridge and no blow dryer. Breakfast and coffee were not included. The bed is also hard as a rock. Might as well be sleeping on the floor. I wish this place the best, as I want places to succeed, but they should start with being truthful about the amenties.
- Eugene (6/5): A little far from downtown - The host was very nice. Location is up on the hill a ways up so be prepared to walk a bit to get to downtown. It’s sorta located in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are clean and basic. Not bad place. For breakfest lots of flys are outside
- Selena (8/5): - Location was great. Minutes away from downtown. Receptionist was pleasing and very communicative. The parking on site is tricky. It’s at an angle and the grounding consists of pebbles. And no elevators. Other than that, it was a good stay.
- Janice (10/5): - Super todo
- Allan (2/5): - I went to this property within the hour of making the booking. When I got to the property I said this was to be 300 meters from the beach, it was way more than that and on a steep hill. I asked if I could cancel and if there would be any charges. I was told i could cancel but I needed to do that through the app. I said I had no wifi and he said he could cancel on my behalf. If I have been charged for this property I am very disappointed and feel rightful so cheated as he said he would cancel on my behalf. I would very much like an explanation please.
- Jose Antonio (8/5): Sayulita NO, Punta Mita !!Siiiiiii!!
- ana (10/5): Pleasant place to stay - Personal was really nice and the hotel was a nice place to stay with the family . Walking distance to the beach and to downtown . It was a pleasant stay . Breakfast was delicious as well . I recommend this place to stay
- Zobeida (10/5): - The rooms and property were lovely. It’s closer to town center than it might seem. The service from reception was fantastic. I really appreciate them.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent Property - Decent property if looking to stay the night
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was clean, staff very friendly.
Disappointed with the kitchenette. Next time we need to have a kitchen with a sitting area. No wifi unless in the office area.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - To far from town, all are durty , no people to ask something, never worker at from desk.. Room nasty.
- Debbie (6/5): - Location is about a 6 minute easy walk to main area of Sayulita. The staff was great, very helpful in any way they could. The rooms very tidy and neat. If driving, there is a location under the unit to park it The kitchen area was interesting as there was a cooktop, fridge and sink, no utensils, cups or dishes supplied. There was a pizza pan and a flipper and a dish rack and drain. I think this location is best if long term vacation is planned bringing your own items.
- M (6/5): I rate it a 2.5 right now. Has potential - Building expansion and construction in progress on property. There is good and bad about my stay. It appeared that the unit was in had plumbing issues, pipes were exposed under top floor. Very little hot water and low water pressure. TV channel selection and reception was awful. Property and room could use some maintenance. Otherwise, architecture, room, appliances, A/C all nice. Owners were very nice and helpful. Less than 10 min walk to awesome town and beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place for an expensive town - Friendly staff. Good place for young couple. No door in shower. A bit noisy in the morning
- jeanne (8/5): Good, but... - I really like the concept of this hotel. It was clean, good shower and quiet. But the bed was so hard that I couldn't even roll on my side without feeling like my bones would bruise (and I am not thin!). I would not have been able to sleep there for any more than one night. Having said that, again I say I like the concept of this hotel. It is away from the town so that you have quiet. There is plenty of space to sit outside in what could either be a carport of outdoor sitting area. The kitchen facilities are adequate and the bathroom was new and works well.
- Ellie (10/5): Very comfortable hotle - The hotel is located in near downtown, only 10 mini far from . So, It was quite, I could sleep in before going to surff :) the staffs are very friendly and nice . I had really good trip there :)
- Helio (8/5): - Overall was good. Mattress is firm (hard) and could not watch TV clear enough (coaxial cable needs to be replaced)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice place and nice people.. It's pretty quiet and not much going on nearby. The location was further from the town plaza and playa than I thought. The staff is friendly and Mila the dog is really cute. It's a good place to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of Sayulita.
- Verified traveler (4/5): If it is proposed its owners could be better - Only for the night. If you pass or need to solve your stay without prior notice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel close to town - Definitely a bargain for sayulita. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in party-town Sayulita - The owners were very kind and helped me change my booking with hotels.com. The hotel is in good condition, decent beds. One minor thing that could be improved is cleanliness...Lots of black hairs on toilet seat lid & on walls in shower. Other than that minor concern, a great hotel. It's on the other side of town from the bars and the party, so it's pretty quiet.
