- Yury (9/5): - The location is excellent: 10 minutes walk to the station, 2 minutes to the Castle. The staff is very friendly. Very clean rooms and other areas. Excellent breakfast: Japanese (hot and salads) and Western food (cereals, milk buns, fruit). Coffee is always available in the reception room the whole day. Breakfast room is small (3 tables for 12 people in total) but you can also eat in the reception room. The room is locked with a key, not with a card, so you need to keep that key on you all the time if you go out. The air conditioning is central, hot air in the winter, cold air in the summer, we were staying in the beginning of April, it was switched one of the last days. The hotel provides heaters and extra blankets if needed. Very nice area around the hotel, many restaurants, bakeries and pastry shops.

- 藤江 (8/5): 利用して良かったです。次は家族で利用したいです。 - 松本城にとても近く、朝の散歩で桜と美しいお城とバックに北アルプスの絶景を楽しめました。 中町通りや縄手通り、注目のお店も徒歩圏で、松本観光にはベストなロケーションでした。 壁が薄いのでしょうか、隣の話し声や物音がかなりうるさかったです。もしかして騒々しい方が泊まっていらしたのかも。。。

Offrant tout les produits nécessaire pour la douche + produits de soin visage (crème hydratante, lotion).. bain proche et agréable (le point fort). Il propose également des saunas avec bain froid, accessible suite à une demande. Les chambres était propre et grande. Disposé également d’une petite supérette pour acheter des friandises et d’un micro-ondes. La qualité du wifi laisse à désiré, manque de personnel, nous avons du attendre pour que qqn de la réception soit là le soir. Il faut également réserver assez à l’avance pour souper la bas. Notre jour d’arrivé, nous avons pas prévu que l’hôtel était difficile d’accès (1bus toute les 2h et le dernier étant à 19h), nous avons donc demandé lors de notre Check in pour manger le soir, ils ont refusé disant qu’ils ne savait pas faire à manger pour nous, et que la seule possibilité était 2j plus tard….

Loved the Japense style of bathroom. Room was big for three people and two large suitcases. Really cool to have actual keys to open the hotel door. Nothing to complain about. Best price for what we were looking for.

The Location: Front Row for the Festival The hotel’s premier feature is its proximity to the action with convenient store nearby. Winter Illumination: You are perfectly positioned for the Matsumoto Castle Projection Mapping (which runs from Dec 13, 2025, to Feb 15, 2026). It is an easy 3–5 minute walk to the castle and the Daimyomachi Street light displays, meaning you can quickly duck back to the hotel if you get too cold. Parking: They offer parking for 800 yen per night at a nearby lot—a great rate for the city center during peak holidays. The Room: This is a classic, dated Japanese business inn, so manage your expectations accordingly: Small & Cold: The rooms are tiny and can get quite chilly in the winter. While small heaters are provided, they may struggle to warm the entire space. Maintenance Quirks: Some power plugs may not work, so you might have to hunt for a functional outlet to charge your phone. - Romain (9/5): Personnel accueillant - Le personnel nous a bien aidé pour nous garer, ils ne parlaient pas du tout anglais mais avec les traducteurs ils ont tout fait pour qu'on se comprenne et ils étaient adorables. Le petit déjeuner en buffet est très sympa, il y a des petits pains locaux, fait à Matsumoto.

- Arianna (7/5): Not perfect but good enough - The location was perfect, 3 min from the castle but still close to the station and other places in town. The room smelled a lot like cigarettes. We realized we had the smoking room, we told the staff at the reception and the man was very kind and helpful. He couldn’t change our room but he gave us an air purifier, using that it was a bit better. The furniture has not been changed since the 60s.
