A hidden gem in Sé, Macao - Our group booked 3 rooms for a 2-night stay at the Sands Macao seven months prior to our early November trip for its spacious rooms and amazing rates. We were not expecting much for an older hotel off the strip but our minds were blown by the warm, highly personalized and beyond expectations service we received from every staff member we encountered…from the doormen to the general manager. But what made the trip extra special for us were the incredible concierge and front office teams under the leadership of Sonia, Aillen and Peter. We emailed the hotel as soon as we booked with a few questions/special requests and received a very helpful response within hours. Closer to the trip, the concierge team came through again by booking us a private transfer back to Hong Kong at a very competitive price. On arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed like family and informed that early check-in was available. Our adjacent rooms were beautifully decorated to celebrate special milestones and we greatly appreciated the map with recommendations for nearby eateries and attractions. The concierge team checked-in on us throughout our stay … they arranged taxis - via WhatsApp once when we were unable to locate one in Taipa, made dinner reservations, walked us half way to a coffee shop off property and to Golden Court inside the hotel to ensure we didn’t get lost. They even provided a care package for the road when we left. We actually joked that we must have been confused for high rollers! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for warm hospitality and great value. The rooms: Huge! Plenty of storage, large closet, and a big safe Coffee maker/fridge (may not be available in all room types) A bit dated furnishings/decor, but very clean and functional Comfortable bed Good water pressure in the shower Jetted tub which we did not use (high off the ground - might be challenging for those with mobility issues). The hotel: Very clean & spacious (you’ll get your steps!) Beautiful pool area and well-equipped gym Large casino (we did not play but walked through on our way to restaurants) Powerful AC in public areas (bring a shawl/sweater!) Excellent dinner at Golden Court and tasty traditional breakfast No good coffee available on site in the morning but great options around the corner. Location: We picked this location because it is close to the HZMB Macau Port and within a 15-20 minute drive of the places we wanted to visit (Ruins of St-Paul’s, Grand Lisboa Macau, Taipa Village, and Cotai Strip) It’s quiet, safe, and walkable. Provides convenient, complementary shuttles to various locations.

I accidentally left my wallet in a taxi without knowing the license plate number, and he kindly helped me contact the police and followed up until I got my wallet back. His help really saved me in a stressful situation. I’m very impressed with the service and truly appreciate how caring the staff are. Highly recommended!

Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, especially Peter who went above and beyond to make our stay so much more enjoyable and convenient. Being first timers in Macau, we weren't sure how things worked here and Peter was very patient and thorough in giving us directions to places we wished to visit. Our luggage was also incredibly heavy but he was so kind and assisted in moving them to our transit bus (to Hong Kong) and we are ever so grateful!

Not only are they helpful & friendly, they give great food recommendations too! Even though their hotel location is not the best, their rooms are much more spacious than most hotels. If you need directions to anywhere, their concierge staff give clear directions and can also help you book taxis to pick you from the hotel lobby (instead of having to queue at the taxi stand which is a short walk away). I had a very enjoyable stay with my parents and their friends!

• F6988FJgaryw (4/5): Very mixed - The room looks great and is well furnished. It crashes down on the basics. The mattress on the king bed has seen way better days. The sheets were old. The rain shower in the bathroom doesn't work. Despite the large room and great view there was not an adequate work area. Breakfast is in a restaurant that requires you to walk through the casino. It is extremely basic. Location is not great. Staff in the hotel are lovely but in the restaurant are a bit curt. Poor value for money in relation to what matters.

On arrival the front desk knew who we were before we told them our name which shows the amazing customer service the hotel has. The room we had was spacious and had great amenities. The pool staff were very good with our children and made them feel very welcome too. The jacuzzi bathtub was an added bonus and worked well. Our son celebrated his birthday whilst there and the hotel gave him a cake and some decorations which were a lovely touch. The location of the hotel was great for the ferry and shuttle buses can run you between the other casino’s and the bus port for free.

• Climber31244037327 (10/5): Greeting for Chris and Andrew - Hello. My name is Jeong, and I stayed at the Sands Macao for one night from August 1st to the 2nd. Concierges Chris and Andrew greeted and guided us from the moment we arrived. They were so friendly and professional, especially during check-in. Thanks to their help, we were able to enjoy the beautiful night view of Macao, which was an unforgettable gift. They even arranged a hotel limousine to take us to the port, which was a very comfortable ride, especially since it was raining! Since it was our first time in Macao and we had no information on where to go, we were worried, but Andrew was incredibly dedicated and provided us with many helpful travel tips. The hotel room conditions, amenities, food, and casino were also all perfect. I'd like to extend my sincere gratitude to Chris and Andrew for making our first trip to Macao so wonderful. We will definitely choose the Sands Macao for our next trip.

The receptionist (sorry forgot your name, you know who you are :)) was not only fluent in English but also handled the check-in swiftly and thoughtfully offered me a fruit plate. He even walked me to the lift instead of just pointing the way, which I really appreciated. The room was very comfortable, and they provided a turndown service as well. A personalized welcome card awaited me, along with some snacks and drinks, adding a special touch to my stay.

• John (10/5): Friendly staff bringing more value to the comfortable stay. - They gave us a room with a very nice view (around the 20th floor), and the staff was extremely attentive when we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 AM, going out of their way to help us with an early check-in instead of 3:00 PM. When I mentioned that our flight is in the evening, they proposed to extend our check-out time to 1 PM instead of 11 AM. The hotel itself is close to a bus stop, so it's easy to navigate around Macau, and it's just 2 stops away from the port, so the transfer from Hong Kong was easy. Nothing that much to consider a dislike, but if I have to mention any, it's that the television didn't have the range expected for a high-class hotel like Netflix or other apps for movies/shows. As someone from Southeast Asia, items of ease like the bidet would have been very useful. Lastly, the lights were not easy to control in the room since there weren't many labels on them, and we had to guess.

Jason from Reception was also extremely helpful, and caring. And we also had a fruit basket and a Snack box for our Welcome gift from Manager Dean Wan. The hotel location was great close to Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Terminal. Also there were free shuttle buses to Cotai Strip and to the Border to Zhuhai. Chris from Concierge was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us plan our daily trips around Macau. Nothing ,I didn't like ...

The location was very convenient and the room was really nice and well presented. Particularly, I want to commend Mr. Gaspar Wong and Mr. Frank Jiang, from the Front Office, who rendered such professional and great services to us throughout our stay. Location is super close to Outer Ferry Terminal with easy access to all the Macau hotspots. Impeccable service! Everyone was so nice and attentive especially to our daughters when they found they had had a recent birthday. The room was big and spotless. Had a massage at the fabulous spa which was mega-relaxing. The Double King Deluxe room was great value for the four of us.

He escorted us to our room, explained the amenities at the Sands, answered our questions re dinner suggestions. Disappointing sands no longer offers a buffet. Kevin was just fantastic. Our room was fabulous. Lounge area bedroom and massive bathroom. Free shuttles to a few other casinos. So glad we booked there. Thanks Kevin and team . Ps lots of activities in Macau, casino entertainment and restaurants open later from 12 even 4 pm. We missed a few things because of time constraints

The hotel room is cozy with a very large bed and comfortable furnitures, the service is great and makes me feel very warm. Especially thanks for Becky, Joanna in front desk team, Nick in room service team, as well as Cherry and Sou in swimming pool team, for providing wonderful and excellence service for us in the hotel. I am looking forward to re-visit again🎉🎉 One note to quote to better improve the service, it would be appreciated if the hotel will provide buffet breakfast for then guests staying, as well as some toys or souvenirs for the guests who choose to stay in the hotel. This will make a better experience for the guest.

• 44anselmor (10/5): A stay in paradise. - The whole experience was by far the best I have ever had. The staff were absolutely amazing not possible to be any better. Upon arrival they noticed that it was my wife's birthday and went above and beyond. They had a some cakes and a candle waiting in our room and sang Happy Birthday and even had a card signed by all the staff. They also upgraded us (no charge) to the most amazing suite, 3 rooms, lounge room, bedroom, shower and jacuzzi. The view was stunning. Had dinner that night at their Chinese restaurant and again gave us another birthday cake. Fabulous people.

• Ying (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - The front desk are very hospitality and informative . Jason Wu helped with all my inquiries as I was in a business trip to catch up with two meetings. They arranged early check-in and allowed late check out and provide necessary information and recommendations for all questions I asked. The Suite is very clean and large space than most of hotels in a fairly good price. The hotel also provides free shuttles to the borders, other hotels within the same group. So it’s very convenient to visit all major landmark within footstep. Thanks. None

We were given a very friendly welcome when we arrived. The staff were very courteous and friendly. They were uncomplicated. In the rooms we were treated to drinks such as beer and snacks. The prices are relatively good and inexpensive.

The hotel room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Also, it is perfect for sightseeing on famous tourist spots such as Senado Square took about 10 minutes by bus and 30 minutes by walk. This time, the hotel staff were very attentive. Ms.Becky made a reservation to prepare a room.Thanks to her, I was able to enjoy a comfortable hotel stay. Mr. Alpha took care of everything from check-in to check out. Thanks to him, we were able to stay and sightsee very comfortably. The warm thoughtfulness on the way back is also an unforgettable memory. Thanks to your two staff members and all staffs, it was a very wonderful trip. Thank you very much. To be honest, there were few reviews of Japanese people (because I am from Jpan), so I was worried before staying. But once I stayed, I had a very good experience among hotels so far. Their staff was extremely courteous and helpful and knowledgeable. There is absolutely no complaints especially their hospitality. Their service is genuinely above expectations

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Value - My aunt and I stayed at the Deluxe King room. It was very spacious and comfortable with excellent water view. Really appreciate the size and layout of the room. It is especially nice to have a wall partition between the two beds which gave us privacy. The spacious bathroom with double sinks and separate door for the toilet worked out great. For the price, we couldn't have ask for more. Will definitely stay in the same type room our next visit.

• Dwayne (8/5): - The hotel is in a good position in Macau, it is very close to some of the older parts of the city, which is a plus if you like to eat the local and street foods. Many good local restaurants, and prices are not bad. The hotel is excellent and the staff could not help enough. The only thing I did not like was how hard and expensive it was just to have a simple beer or wine. That part was terrible.

• Christopher (10/5): - Great steakhouse at Sands. Hotel is not so massive - easy to check in. Also a short walk from the ferry terminal.
• Chengyun (10/5): We did enjoy our stay in this hotel. - We arrived around noon, a bit earlier than check in time, they tried to find a room for us in a short while and actually it was also upgraded to a harbor view room. They also sent us a snack pack, a fruit dish and a souvenir bear which my daughter really loved. During our stay, all the staff that we met are very friendly and helpful, the shuttle bus also makes traveling convenient. The hotel is very close to the fishman’s harbour, and the Guia lighthouse as well. I will recommend the hotel to other visitors to Macau.
• Ian (7/5): Comfortable but overpriced for the location and facilities offered. - The bedroom/lounge facilities were all very good, spacious and well appointed with a good view, bathroom very good, particularly the jacuzzi bath. Staff were all very attentive. The reception and cleaning staff were all excellent. The location is okay for the northern part of Macau if you want a 30 minute walk into the touristy areas near the St Paul's ruins. The swimming pool was shut (no warning on the app). The gym is in another building - not convenient so we didn't use it. The price was steep for the location (next to the ferry terminal but not near the airport, although the airport is only 15/20 minutes taxi ride). Also the 15% tax was not clearly mentioned in the price which made it much more expensive than expected.
