• Lara (2/5): We didn't have super high ecpectations because it was reasonably priced but even so was disappointed - Everything was rundown, and it was quite noisy next to the highway.
• issabella (7/5): Great staff and cheap cash deposit, but you get what you pay for I guess.. over all im satisfied. - The owner allowed me to use my picture of my ID at the counter which was very nice of them and convenient.. also they only charged me $50 cash deposit which was the best cash deposit I've ever heard of and m much appreciated. The bed was nice and firm which is what I like and was super comfy. Slept almost the whole time. =] I did book a two bed smoking room online, although when I showed up it ended up being a one bed non-smoking room which was disappointing. Also when I showed up there was only half a roll of toilet paper and no other extra rolls in the room. I also have to mention there where a large amount of little black and looking type of bugs I took a video when I left it seems they like to hide under things .. there were a lot of them under my jacket when I left when I showed up I only noticed two or three every now and then in the bathroom. I included the video. I googled them and they seemed like it where harmless from what I can tell, not necessarily bed bugs or cockroaches LOL.

• Black (9/5): Economical and very pleasant - The room was very clean from top to bottom. All the amenities worked well. Internet had a strong connection. Nice TV. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. Being next to the highway was a concern but unfounded. I felt what road noise I heard was very manageable. All in all, a very pleasant stay. I will stay there again😁👍🏼

• DougC846 (10/5): SPACIOUS-WELL MAINTAINED--CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT GOOD VALUE-FREINDLY STAFF - WE STAYED THERE ON AUGUST 10-2024--VERY HAPPY THERE--THE ROOM HAD 2 BEDS --WE ONLY NEEDED ONE-THE RENO AND LAYOUT WERE GREAT --A TABLE WITH 2 CAHAIRS--A NICE DESK--FRIG-MIC--liked the idea of a coffee maker but there were no cups and no coffee to make it--LIKED THE WASH BECAUSE THE SINK WAS OUTSIDE THE TOILET AND SHOWER-parking was easy-- you have a winner with this motel keep up the good work

• Suzanne (4/5): - No obvious key dropoff. Office was closed at 930 am and had to knock on the door and ring the buzzer to get someone to come and get the key so we could check out. Room reasonably clean but very outdated. Nothing else was available due to the Stampede in Medicine Hat.

• Krista (10/5): Excellent place for a lower cost - This motel is an excellent place to stay when you don’t want to spring for one of the higher cost places. It may not be a fancy place, but it’s great for the price. The front desk staff member was always super friendly.

• Brian (7/5): For our short stay, the Ranchman's was perfect. It was inexpensive and clean. - The room was very clean! This motel is older, but kept clean. For me, that's the biggest issue. We only needed a bed to sleep, we were not in the room a lot. We asked for more pillows and they were never delivered. The pillows that were in the room were extremely flat.
• WAYNE (4/5): - The bed Wayne slept in was broken!! The TV was not working properly. It would play for 1 few minutes then cut out, restart and play for a few minutes more. This was continuous!! The carpet is very dirty. Stains all over. Air conditioning did not cool. No matter what setting I put it on, it blew the same air!!

When we arrived there was one room available however it had no fridge, tv or coffee maker like stated and they were still charging full price.

Husband and wife owners were very helpful. Been on the road in Canada for one month and this was the best value we have encountered so far. Nothing to complain about

Located right off of highway 1. Not much in the area (industrial) but there is a gas station with convenience store and a craft brewery within walking distance.

• Sydney (4/5): - Front desk indicated it was open daily from 6 am - 12 am, we arrived at 11pm and it was closed. Had to wait for whoever was running it to get out of bed and give us a key to a room. The hotel booking also indicated we would receive continental breakfast with our booking. However, we did not receive any breakfast upon checking out early august when we were leaving the motel at approximately 9:00 am
• Erwin (8/5): Good no frills Motel - Ranchmen Motel is a no frills place to spend the night. It is outdated and in some respects needs upgrading and renovating. However it is comfortable with all that a person would need. It is my go to place when I am passing through Medicine Hat. The price is right when you book through Hotels.com.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Bugging out - Sitting on the toilet in room 122, I looked at the floor, where there was at least a dozen little bugs, scurrying around at the corner of the door. Not bed bugs, but just little bugs.

• Miss369 (6/5): Dirty bathroom - Owners friendly and accommodating - room was spacious and neat. Few issues: air conditioning barely worked - very warm in the bedroom at times. Also, on a noisy route on Highway 1. Our biggest issue was the bathroom, the toilet was literally slanted on one side and broken toilet seat. Upon waking up in the morning - I noticed that there were hairs throughout the shower, which were not ours. There was breakfast in the morning, however we decided to leave and not stay. Cheap place to stay.
• Marilyn Z (8/5): - It was a lovely clean hotel except for a large dually truck that backed in right next to our room with a huge exhaust and in the morning he started the truck at 6:00 am and ran it for 30 mins and the exhaust came right into our room and I became instantly nauseous and we had to quickly pack and leave! I know this is no fault of the hotel, but maybe with large trucks they should not be able to park them backed into the rooms!

• Desiree1961 (10/5): Super Service - I arrived a day early ahead of my reservation and the clerk didnt hesitate in setting me up with a room at the same price per night as my original reservation. Warm and welcoming, I was instantly put at ease. The room was immaculate, and the shower was excellent - great water pressure! Minimal breakfast but enough to get your day started. Location was really good for getting ease of getting anywhere around town. Super value - I stayed several nights and was very comfortable.

• Vent-de-la-mer (8/5): Good place to stay for a night - We rather liked this place. There’s something nice, almost old-fashioned about it. The breakfast is served in a room which looks like a small Victorian museum :) That being said, the air conditioning could have been less noisy and the breakfast more lavish :) Still, it’s a good place to stay for a night.
• VLM (10/5): - Don’t judge the book by its cover, they say and this is the case. When it may not be situated in the most appealing area, this family run motel is clean, safe and quiet. Breakfast is included so for what you are paying you can’t complain

• TT (6/5): - We called to say we were going to check in late due to a late flight, and we would up standing outside a locked door for ten minutes because there was no one at the front desk. Then we were shocked by an additional $15 in fees that were not listed on Expedia so I’m not sure who’s fault that was. The room was quite, but there was crud and loose change on the floor so it couldn’t have been vacuumed. Staff was friendly enough.

• K (8/5): - Overall for the price, this place was a goodnight to stay. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Only downside was that this is an old motel, and you can easily tell from paint chiping off the bathroom walls and there was a weird noise all night long from pipes in the wall. But those are only small things when paying the price we did just for a night to sleep when traveling through.

This last time the main room was clean, but the bathroom was not. There was hair in the bathtub and the tub was pretty dirty on the outside. The first time we stayed there was a container for the ice and this time there was nothing.I hate to complain, the price is very fair and we would probably stay again

We stayed there on two occasions. One night every time. First time we had clean room, second time we had another room that was dirty, utensils , kitchen stuff sticky, bed, mattres old, not comfortable.

• PHYLLIS (4/5): - Repairs are needed. wiring on ceiling unfinished. Carpet at room door was curling amd caused stumbling. Door knob to room has a razor sharp edge that cut tip of my finger. Steps at entrance to office have uneven surface and are unsightly.
• JJ (2/5): Filthy - The reviews were decent, so I booked. What happened? New ownership? The office clerk was passive aggressive, the carpet was littered (chunky sand all over the floor, gum wrapper, etc), the door, light switches, walls and all surfaces were grimy. After using half my tub of Lysol wipes from the car (which quickly turned dark grey), I abandoned the task of trying to get the room manageably clean. For context: I'm a camper, not a germ-ophobe. At that point it was too late and I was too tired to check out, request a refund, and find another place to stay. At morning checkout, a group was smoking right in front of the continental breakfast room, out from which stepped a staff member who took my key. I didn't walk through the cigarette smoke to grab coffee and a muffin.
