The town is small.

- Nicole (10/5): - We love this BnB and recommend it to everyone we know. The period building has been decorated with period decor making it a unique stay. The rooms and beds are comfortable. The hosts are welcoming. Breakfast is excellent. OneMore restaurant across the road is a great place for an upscale chef dinner.
We will be back and continue to recommend this place to couples, families, single travellers. It’s a gem.
- Lynn (10/5): - It was pouring rain when I arrived and Dawn came out to collect me with an umbrella. Bless her! The entire structure is interesting and I loved the reading corners and books. Room was spotless and inviting. Bed was as comfy as at home, bedding luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. I want to come back soon and highly recommend Country Encounters. It was delightful!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pleasant stay in Coleman - We enjoyed our evening stay in Coleman, AB. We have travelled this road many times but had not taken the time to stop. The area is historically significant and we had a great time wandering around reading the information and learning more about our heritage. Supper at Chris' Restaurant was like something out of our childhood - a family owned place with tremendous portions. The BNB was quaint and quiet. Staff was friendly. The facility was a little dirty - nothing outrageous but light fixtures and room dishes could be spruced up a bit. There is no place to put toiletries in the bathroom and it was slightly off-putting to leave cosmetics, etc. on the floor. Open shelves would be most welcomed. Breakfast included left over warmed up pancakes with eggs and bacon. There is a coffee station with complimentary cookies which were delicious. The price is reasonable. Thank you.
- Bruce (10/5): Excellent b&b - This was an excellent stop on our way to Banff from Glacier. The owner was super friendly and breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend if passing through.

- john (8/5): - small western town that doesn't look very prosperous but this establishment turned out to be excellent. the food was good and our host was great. not very modern or luxurious but clean and comfortable. homey.
- Dawn (8/5): - Quaint room in a historic building in historic Coleman. We had everything we needed. Breakfast was perfect. The only bummer was that the wine encounter was closed during our stay. (one of the reasons we booked but we will take the responsibility for not checking the open days/hours). There was a very cute outdoor area that we would of loved to hang out in but the mosquitos were quite active during our stay. We would stay again for sure.
- Frederick (10/5): - interesting decor, great food
- Elena (10/5): - Everyone was incredibly nice!! The building was so charming, the room incredibly comfortable, and I loved how it was walkable to everything. Definitely will stay here again

- Nissy (10/5): - I stayed with a couple of my friends in the 20s room and it was lovely, clean and spacious and also nicely decorated. There was a super cute reading nook in the room too. Beautiful building, absolutely loved the patio area and the murals.
There were 3 meals offered at the home, only took advantage of the breakfast option. Dawn served us an eggs in purgatory on the second day we were there and it was so yummy!
- Meredith (10/5): Cannot recommend highly enough - This was an amazing stay, from the beautiful property conversion and excellent water pressure to the free cookies, gorgeous yard, and best breakfast in Canada. The proprietors were lovely and friendly, the parking was a breeze, and the dog was adorable. Hands down our favorite lodging of the trip — would go to Coleman again just to stay there!

- Inger (10/5): - Super comfortable stay. The room was cool - on a very hot day. Great restaurants right across the street for dinner. I would definitely stay here again.
- Graham (10/5): - Room full of antiques, very interesting atmosphere. Owner lady even came to lead us to the place when I couldn’t find it
- Verified traveler (8/5): A Great Adaptation of an Old Building - The rooms here are associated with a separate catering business that is run by the owners. Truly a "family place" there were relatives and other family members visiting and working on the catering side while we were there. Very friendly. The old building was modified for the combined purposes, so there are some work-arounds and old-building "features" that you won't find anywhere else. The owner offered, and we took, "bagged lunches" for the day that we left, which was very convenient for us. Parking was on the street, but the small town has limited traffic and felt quite safe. For those who enjoy staying in this kind of place, it was very nice, with even a separate "reading room" filled with a wide range of books, including some about the history of the town and area, as well as big comfortable chairs.
- hana (10/5): A little gem in the mountains - A little gem hidden in this beautiful countryside. It is perfect for a family or friend vacation, rooms are cozy and unique, breakfast served in the morning is the best breakfast ever. Ouside seating areas are filled with blossoming flowers and allow you to admire the mountains around. Hiking is close by without having to drive far.
- Debbie (10/5): - Very friendly and kind! Food is great.
- Jennifer (10/5): - The room was beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The staff are friendly and make sure to make you feel at home. This is my favorite place to stay in the Crowsnest Pass.

Breakfast was excellent.
- Andrei (10/5): Brief stay in Crowsnest - Excellent and lovely hotel, amazing service. Thanks
- Rick (10/5): - Comfortable, good staff, service and the folks make you feel at home.
- Deb (10/5): - We stayed in the 1920s room. It was very unique. Highly recommend this B & B
- Jennifer (10/5): - Loved the vintage vibe and tucked away private garden patio. Great place to stay. One recommendation would be to add air conditioners for the summer season. Breakfast was AMAZING. Super friendly staff/owners, would definitely stay again to check out more of the local history.
- Shannon (10/5): - Was quaint and the breakfast was great. Staff was friendly, and all for a reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again. Plus, Loki (the dog) was sweet.
- Izak (10/5): - Great place to stay. Clean. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (4/5): No AC, No sleep - Host was lovely, breakfast was great, the room was beautiful and spacious, however it was not enjoyable to stay in. I was excited to stay here after seeing lots of good reviews but I soon realized I missed the ones that mentioned no AC. It was incredibly hot inside and even with window open and the small fan blowing, and it being cool outside, it stayed very hot the entire night. We had to leave the door to the hallway open to get a bit of air circulation. As a result we didn't get much sleep and the stuffiness left us feeling unwell in the morning - not sure if we were allergic to dust inside or something else? I understand that because of the location and the building being older, AC isn't common but it would be nice if there was at least a powerful fan in the room for Some circulation.
- Evan (10/5): - More like a boutique hotel than a bed and breakfast. Excellent price.
- Kevin J (10/5): - A historic building in a town off the beaten path, cookies, snacks, coffee, and juice 24/7.
And a real cute pup as well!!
- Geoff (10/5): - Very welcoming
- Rose (10/5): - The room was above and beyond beautiful and well appointed. Breakfast was made to order and Dawn took care of my dietary restrictions. Room came with an enormous soft comfortable bed, lots of towels, and almost full kitchenette.
- Donna (10/5): - It was quite quaint. The staff were great and the breakfast was fabulous.
Our only complaint was that there was no air conditioning and even with the fans, the room was quite hot.
- Yen (10/5): - Owner is nice and knows how to take of guest. Breakfast is delicious and has patio in the evening.
- Linda (10/5): - It was a very unique property to stay, and would highly recommend staying there. The breakfast was fantastic in the morning as well.
- Alexandra (10/5): - The decor was truly old country, the staff most hospitable, and the breakfast was amazing!
- Krispin (10/5): - Check in was great. Reasonable price. No AC but fan in the room helps. Great restaurant across the street. Food was incredible for a very reasonable price. Would definitely come here again
- FRED (10/5): - My wife loved the historic themed room. The food and service was excellent
- Paul (10/5): - Quaint and warm hospitality. Very highly recommended!
- Lois Bownes (8/5): - Breakfast was delicious.
- Allan (10/5): - The most awesome breakfast! Dawn is a great host that made my stay feel special.
- Frederick (10/5): - Charmingly designed rooms, friendly, delicious breakfast
- Robert (10/5): - Excellently renovated property in style to match the d mining town buildings. The staff are beyond fantastic and the food is amazing.
- David (10/5): - Service and breakfast were fantastic.
- Cynthia-Rae (10/5): - We booked in for 2 nights and had the Green Room. This room was more than we ever expected. Clean , spacious, comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. The hot breakfast served was amazing with fresh fruits, yogurt, loaf, coffee, juice, eggs, meats, potatoes. Then we dined in their Wine bar and I will say if you ever want to eat good food you MUST try this place. A very unique menu and the staff is so friendly, helpful and accommodating to any food needs we had. The chef served up some amazing dishes from Cheese stuffed bacon wrapped dates , 4 cheese crab fondue as well a garlic parm risotto. We also had the Chicken Cordon Blue which was outstanding and the cajun steak tips with shrimp. All of the food is homemade and honestly some of the best finer dining foods we have eaten. To think this place is snuggled into the older part of the town and not many know about it. Well worth the stay and we look forward to booking again when we are travelling through the area.
- Brett (10/5): - The setting and theme was compelling. Old style take you back in time to 1920. Awesome.
- Paul (10/5): Little Jewel in the Crowsnest - Second time staying here and highly recommend it for people passing through the Crowsnest or coming to explore.
- Wing Yan (10/5): - The owner Don is very friendly and talkable
- Peter (10/5): - A beautiful historical building filled with treasures and owned and operated by caring people.
On site evening dining was spectacular as was the generous included breakfast.
