- Natalie (10/5): Perfect hotel for family! - The hotel itself and staff are very welcoming. Our family room was perfect! Very large and plenty of space for the 4 of us. Also very clean. The only thing we noted was that the hot food on the breakfast buffet wasn't hot at all. Hence we decided to go out for breakfast as there are plenty of places close by. Perfect location otherwise and would definitely go back

- Christian (10/5): - Hôtel très bien situé, à 3mn de la plage et proche du centre ville. Parking possible sur place, quelques places couvertes et d’autres en extérieur, 17 euros la journée. Chambre moderne, un peu petite, très propre avec mini frigo. Nous avions également un balcon, très agréable pour faire un petit apéro. Le petit déjeuner est très sympa avec les traditionnels œufs brouillés, bacon et saucisses et plein de bonnes choses sucrées : cakes, cannelés, brioches,…Accès à la terrasse extérieur si on souhaite se poser. À noter : Un bâtiment en construction juste à côté et en semaine les travaux commencent à 7 h mais ce point n’a pas été gênant pour nous. En conclusion, nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel et nous reviendrons avec plaisir, à recommander +++

- James (10/5): - The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. The hotel was spotless inside, our executive room was just big enough and had a lovely sunny balcony. Location was great as was the pre-bookable parking. The only thing I want to comment on is the exterior of the side and back of the hotel needs a bit of modernisation.

Sinon chambre agréable, petit déjeuner au top et personnel à l'écoute .

Hotel is close to the main shopping area in Arcachon and close to the water. Parking at the hotel was easy but I did book it in advance. Good choices at breakfast. Overall, a very good experience.

La cama tiene colchon duro, no apto para todas las personas y el desayuno variado, aunque el pan y la bolleria no estan a la altura. El parking tanto interior como exterior es de pago, pero es muy comodo.

- Sebastien (4/5): Très mauvaise gestion de la climatisation - Alors qu'il ne faisait que 15°C dehors la nuit, il faisait plus de 25°C dans la chambre et impossible de la rafraîchir... La climatisation soufflait de l'air chaud, pas de possibilité de faire un courant d'air avec l'unique fenêtre ouverte. À 4h du matin, j'ai fini par descendre à la réception où la seule chose que j'ai pu obtenir fut un ventilateur... À 200€ la nuit, il devrait être possible de dormir confortablement dans une chambre non surchauffée l'été, d'autant quand il fait frais dehors. Le lendemain matin tôt, un technicien venait inspecter les climatisations à notre étage : le problème était donc connu. Nous avons entendu le lendemain après midi une autre cliente à un autre étage se plaignant, au contraire, que sa climatisation ne pouvait pas être arrêtée depuis le passage du technicien... À part ça, hôtel des années 80 très joliment rénové et employés sympathiques. Vraiment dommage

- Susanne (10/5): - The hotel is beautiful and the decor is modern and good quality- our only problem was when we had a shower the water gathered and ran out of the (very modern) shower tray! The water ended up flowing out of the bathroom and into our room. We notified reception about this issue and they plan to look into it. This wouldnt put me off staying again however as its a great hotel in a fantastic location!

- Stephan (8/5): Newly renovated with room for improvement - The hotel has just been renovated, which means everything is brand new. However, it became also clear that the team was not very much used to the process... The communication during check in was very poor. Thr checkin time (4pm) was VERY late. The breakfast was very expensive (17,-€ per day and person) and for sure not worth the price. The WiFi connection was not very good/stable. The standard rooms are very tiny and I can only hardly image how you should fit in there with 2 adults. Because of the renovation the gym was not ready/usable. However, the staff was very engaged and tryied their best to help us, if they understood us (as non-french-speaking).

We went in Feb, so it was low season, and the street was very peaceful. Location wise it's so close to the main train station, 5 min walk! And just as close to the pedestrian streets close to the beach. Really good. We had a small issue with our shower and we got an amazing upgrade to a lovely suite room. They were very kind and attentive and lovey to chat to. Would definitely come again.

- Paul (10/5): Everything Perfect! - The hotel is very easy to access by car and has good and free parking (you can book a garage space for an extra fee). The check in was efficient and friendly in both French and English as required. The COVID-19 regulations are simple, well communicated and easy to follow. The room was very clean and tidy with a nice style that suited Arcachon. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom clean and big by French standards. The hotel is not on the beach but it is a two minute walk away so no problem at all there. We really enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recommend!

The room was very clean and it was nice to have a kettle and tea bags and two buns left each day in the room. A fridge would have been handy but overall we had a good stay and location was perfect.

- Verified traveler (10/5): RECOMMENDED! - WOULD STAY AGAIN - We have been to Arcachon before but stayed on the edge of town. The main road in suffers from long traffic jams so we decided to stay in town. This hotel proved to be a lucky find, despite costing a bit more than we normally pay. Location excellent, everything only a short walk away. Both secure undergroung parking (for a fee) and free outside parking are available. The staff are excellent, the desk is manned 24 hours, some speak english, one senior member is English (bilingual). Breakfast first class. Room quite small but larger than many in France, small safe in room, kettle etc but no fridge. The bathroom was small but stylish with a very good shower (again a rarity in parts of France). The balcony was small but adequate and the air-con coped with temperatures in the mid 30's. Wi-Fi was patchy but again adequate. Overall, for the price, one of the best rooms we have had in France.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room 312, with its calm decor and wide glass patio doors opening to the little balcony, is one of the prettiest and most comfortable rooms we have stayed in while visiting France. In fact, situated on a picturesque street, the entire hotel is quite lovely, The staff were remarkably friendly. The breakfast was delicious. There was nothing to dislike.

- Rae (8/5): Lovely modern hotel 5 minutes from the beach - We were greeted by an extraordinarily friendly and helpful receptionist. We were checked in within 5 minutes. Parking outside was free: a bonus. The room was very small with a comfortable bed, modern bathroom with lots of hot water, and a balcony with a view to the Arcachon Basin. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Including fresh fruit. Very easy to recommend.

- John (10/5): We highly recommend this hotel - The hotel and staff exceeded our expectation. Seldom have a we had such friendly, caring service. The location of the hotel in the centre of a bustling holiday town with more than adequate free parking was first rate. The room was quiet and well appointed in a style appropriate for the town. The bathroom/wet room was well equipped with good quality fitting. The bedroom was a little tight (we had two dogs) but the bed was comfortable (we did ask for softer pillows - and got them immediately). Breakfast was good with a wide range of fresh food and the breakfast room was comfortable and light with a good view. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.

- Tim (10/5): Friendly hotel near the beach - Arcachon has fantastic beaches and sea-front restaurants, and Hotel de la Plage is just a short walk from both. The hotel is modern and clean. Good buffet-style breakfast. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We had a car so the free parking at the hotel was very welcome, but next time we would probably go by train - fast and frequent service fom Bordeaux and the station is about 10min walk from the hotel.
- P (8/5): Close to town centre with own parking facilities - A good hotel to visit Arcachon and surrounding area. It is rather basic not having a bar nor restaurant, but is more than adequate for a short stay. Good bed, clean linen and everything worked as it should.
- Debi (8/5): Location, Location, and Friendly - Hotel was very conveniently located to the boardwalk and downtown shops and restaurants and a grocery store. We had a little patio, which is always nice because rooms in France are generally small. Modern bathroom and WIFI worked. Large patio downstairs off lobby to sit outside and watch the world go by. Parking was available but very tight. Staff was very friendly and spoke English.
- Sooz (8/5): Beach charm in Arcachon, France - We stayed at Hotel de la Plage on Bastille Day after two weeks in a rental apartment. Our room was charming and had an ultra-modern euro-style bath. Staff is minimal but they provide what you need if you ask. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Reasonably priced at high season.

- Steve (8/5): No frills, just clean and friendly - We stayed just one night in the De la Plage and enjoyed the stay. The staff were very pleasant and informative. The room was small, but clean and everything worked just fine. The location is ideal being only a short walk away from the shops, restaurants and beach, but situated on a quiet road. Breakfast was a little limited for British tastes, and quite expensive given the selection, but this is not unusual for this class of hotel.
