Roadworks outside the entrance which is not in their control. Hopefully will be finished soon. It didn't affect our lovely stay and this wonderful hotel.

Decoração dos quartos e do hotel bonita e cheia de personalidade, Café da manhã bom mas com pouca variedade para o valor cobrado. Reservei o hotel por que as avaliações eram de excelência, mas deparei com algumas situações pouco confortáveis como p ex. o ar condicionado que se mantinha sempre na mesma temperatura já que o sistema é programado para inverno ou verão sem que possamos escolher a temperatura desejada. Passamos calor apesar de ser inverno pq a temperatura, apesar de selecionarmos 16º, voltava sempre para 24º ou 25º, não lembro bem. Uma noite tivemos que abrir a janela que dava para o corredor para conseguir dormir, já que os quartos não tem janela exterior. Reclamei e nos trocaram de quarto mas o calor permaneceu já que o sistema era o mesmo. Nosso quarto tinha uma clarabóia em cima da cama que comprometia o sono. Também o chuveiro tinha um vazamento na torneira que ficava pingando e o barulho incomodava. Banheiro não tem porta mas sim uma cortina, o que compromete a privacidade. Achei o hotel caro para o que oferece. Existem outros tão bem localizados e bons quanto e com valores melhores, mas como disse, fui pela maioria das avaliações.

Hotel and hospitality was once again at the highest level. Staff were very attentive to everyone’s needs. A special thanks to Toni and Liliana. • valerie (9/5): Had the most wonderful stay, it was my birthday and the staff made it very special. Thank you! - A lovely warm welcome and enjoyed the drinks and canapes, staff very friendly and exceptionally helpful with any requests. Great choice for breakfast menu and especially with the option of having it on the roof as the staff happily arranged that. As our room did not have a bath, it was not a problem to change the room which we really appreciated. The location was perfectly central to explore Valetta and be close to all the restaurants. It was a nice quiet area too. The only disappointment was the spa was rather chilly and the pool was not hot enough to relax in and the steam room needed to be hotter too. It was great to have the place to ourselves and we enjoyed the sauna.

So much character in the immediate area. So much in reasonable walking distance. Staff was mostly not Maltese, but very friendly, communicative and helpful. They seemed to know their stuff. Special shout out here to Susma and Paulo. Breakfast was good, too. Pretty good variety and served pretty quickly. We were upgraded from a normal room to a suite (Serena). It was quite nice with a HUGE TV (at least for a hotel). I'd definitely enjoy going back, if I had the opportunity.
• P6842SVgrahamb (10/5): Faultless! - Excellent small hotel on a quiet backstreet close to all the main attractions. Hot towels and drinks on arrival before being shown to our room . We had the Sienna suite which benefited from a small balcony facing the street which was a big plus. Breakfast exceeded our expectations as several cooked options are available as well as the continental. All the staff we encountered were fabulous and always had time for a chat, all were a credit to the hotel. We would have no hesitation in returning to stay in this little gem of a hotel!

The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was big, clean and artfully decorated! They paid extra attention to our dietary restrictions as well! Thanks Devika! Bathroom was large with a sizable shower. Well located and only a few minutes walk to most attractions. We had a great 3 night stay!

Excellent location from which to explore the town on foot and within easy reach of ferries. Large room. Comfortable bed. Good breakfasts. Curtain rather than solid wall or door dividing bedroom from sink and shower. Not a big problem though.
• workingmum72 (10/5): Beautiful Boutique Hotel in excellent location for exploring the city. Warm welcome when we arrived . - Historic building with very personalised service. We were offered a complimentary drink when we arrived and the gentlemen receptionist explained a little about the city . As we settled into our room , canapés were brought to us. It is a quiet area but only 5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions. Each and every member of staff was warm and friendly! Hotel was very clean and we could book a one hour private use of the spa which was complementary. Breakfast was efficient and a wide choice! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for making it such a special and memorable trip.

• 10taniaw (6/5): Issues - Although the hotel and rooms are beautiful at the hotel and the location great I was very disappointed with the level of service we received. A problem with our room (a leak) was handled badly resulting in us being moved into three separate rooms within the 1st 24 hours of our four day break . This caused alot of disruption and disturbance to our holiday .Although I appreciate that these things happen the way it was dealt with was unacceptable especially from a hotel of the standard . On this basis I will not stay again or recommending which is a shame as the rooms are lovely, spotlessly clean and in the heart of Valletta .

• jason (9/5): Great property in a quieter part of Valletta - Stunning property well looked after Staff are just amazing, they are genuine and go above and beyond. Probably difficult to fix in an old property but the thin walls meant neighbours, housekeeping, staff working didn't allow the peace you are looking for. This might have been specific to our room but rather wide gap in the bathroom door doesn't allow for privacy.

• Sammy2088 (10/5): Just perfect! - We have just enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Palazzo Consiglia. On arrival we were greeted by name as the receptionist said she had tracked our arrival flight! She was so friendly and helpful, as were all the staff we met. We were given a welcome drink and hot towel. We were early so happy to safely leave our luggage and explore until check in time, however, by the time we finished our drinks and a look around the facilities we were told our room was ready early and we could go straight up - of course this can not always happen and we would have waited without issue. The hotel is stunning, a very old building that has been beautifully restored. We loved the entrance and the maze of small rooms where you could relax, eat or enjoy a drink. Looking up at the sky from the atrium was lovely. We used the spa area - it was just magical to be in the jacuzzi pool relaxing after a day sightseeing. We loved our room, the bed was very comfortable and we had all the facilities we needed, even an iron and umbrella! Luckily we didn’t need it ! Breakfast was great, the hot items are cooked to order so quality takes time, it was the best eggs Benedict/ eggs royale that I have had. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the busy areas and all the sights or turn the other way and you are looking out to sea or the Grand Harbour. Thank you to all the staff who we met, we had a perfect stay and would love to come back one day.

• Aiste (10/5): Relaxing stay with friends - Breakfast: The breakfast was excellent—freshly prepared on request and absolutely delicious. It really set the tone for the day. Location: Perfectly situated, just steps away from lively streets filled with great restaurants and cafes. Very convenient for exploring the area. Room: The room was spotless and well-maintained. It was cleaned twice daily during our short stay, which made it feel extra comfortable and welcoming. Honestly, I liked everything! Any minor issues that came up were resolved immediately by the staff in a very polite and friendly manner. Their responsiveness really stood out.

• EgyptophileEngland (8/5): Some charming staff! - We stayed at this hotel as part of an easyJet holiday. We had seen that the check in time was 2pm. but, in fact, the room wasn't ready on arrival and we were finally admitted at 3pm. The 'bathroom' in the room was a bit of a shock! A flimsy 'voile' curtain and fabric louvred shutters which did not close sufficiently to give any privacy. The toilet itself had a glass door and the whole experience was disconcerting to say the least. We also had what was supposed to be a coffee machine in the room but which spat the 'pod' out and delivered luke warm water. We discovered there were 'some' kettles available but it turned out there were only three for a (13) roomed hotel and we had to wait a number of days for one guest to check out before we could be allocated one. There was an open courtyard with a retractable roof whiich rained in if the weather was bad causing multiple wet areas resulting in wet towels laid on the walkways outside the rooms and public areas... creating numerous trip and slip hazards necessitaing 'Wet floor' warning boards. The room was staged for a 'photo opportunity' not praticality. The 'rocking chair was placed diretly in front of the mirror so one fell over the 'rockers'!! ...and the wardrbe hinges screeched like a banshee when just a bit of oil wuld have identified and solved the issue. The breakfast was, as advertised, pentiful but the self service buffet was on a ridiculous system of sliding drawers which closed with the slightlest touch threatening to dislodge all the plates and contents. The lobby was 'cluttered' with tables and chairs so there was no clear access through the area. The lack of any natural light in the room was also a big issue for us. Four star it may be butfor t the staff certainly deserved praisecourtesy for the attention and but we would neve want to return there!!

• davehR8468XG (10/5): Fantastic Hotel!!! - Having read some of the previous reviews it's going to be difficult to top them but I'll give it a try! This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Everything about it is top drawer! From the staff, to the quality of the rooms, to the underground spa, the rooftop pool, and the breakfast, all simply 5 star!! The location is the best bit as it's right in the heart of Valletta. Less than a 5 minute walk to countless cafes and restaurants but one of the quietest hotels we've ever stayed in. We felt it was reasonably priced too as was the food and drink considering you're in a European capital city. So much of the food is excellent but we fell in love with the bread. The Ftira and pizzas were always freshly baked and so tasty! The architecture and history was a particular highlight too. A 10 minute walk to the harbour got you onto a fast ferry to Gozo or on a smaller boat over to the three cities. Both highly recommended. We were very fortunate that we stayed when the hotel introduced a walk with the staff and other hotel guests at the Dingli cliffs. They'd arranged a picnic with the hotel owner and other hotel staff which was a lovely surprise. We got many recommendations on places to visit during our stay from Christopher who was one of the staff members on the walk. I hope they introduce more walks for guests as not only was it a great trip but it really helped us figure out exactly what to see during our visit. Christopher is a real character and an asset to the hotel group. We were also blessed with fantastic weather during our stay which was the icing on the cake. The only negative was that we had to come home back to the UK!! Needless to say, my wife and I would highly recommend this hotel and a visit to Malta. We'll hopefully be back there again soon! Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so special.

We are here celebrating my husbands 60 th birthday and through sending e mails to the lovely Ljilana and with her help we were upgraded to the most stunning room, definitely a wow moment with a towel birthday cake , a real cake and canopes from the wonderful staff . All staff are extremely helpful and cannot do enough for you . The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is amazing with so much choice and freshly made orders to your choice . The hotel is stunning 😍😍😍and in a perfect location, a stones throw from both the harbour and city centre. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the whole atmosphere of the hotel was lovely, and relaxed. Totally recommend for a romantic holiday. Unfortunately we did not make use of the on site spa this time, maybe next time. If you want a luxury boutique hotel in a beautiful city then you cannot go wrong, I just wish we'd stayed for longer. ♥️♥️♥️

Roof top terrace and pool is a great option with the weather in Malta. Room very comfortable and good size. Staff were all friendly and helpful throughout.

They helped me plan my day trips and the best way to reach the locations in Valletta. The breakfast was extremely good. The location was perfect, it's close to the Main Street of Valletta but away from the crowds. There are many restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance too.

• Linda (9/5): Great stay - We only stayed one night but were very happy with our room. The staff were very good, gave us a welcome drink while waiting to check in. There were also some snacks and drinks left in the room. The bed was really comfortable. It was in a quiet street but only 5 minutes away from bars and restaurants. Also very close to the cathedral and the grand masters palace.

• Jordan (5/5): While the location is good and staff friendly there is a lack of attention to detail in this hotel. - Good breakfast with buffet and a la cart. All staff very friendly and keen to help. Room not clean Little attention to detail - lots of issues around the room including used coffee capsules, empty milk capsules, safe not working, no tv remote, rubbish from previous guest beside sofa, tea stains around sink, dirty cleaning cloths left in room, broken blinds. At £350 a night you expect more.

• Cockcroft (10/5): A very special place to stay. - Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Coffee maker in the room was an extra treat. The pool area was lovely to escape to in the heat. Check-in was really personal with a lovely welcome drink. All the staff were approachable and helpful. Location was central but very quiet. No shower in our room.

• Lyn (8/5): Wonderful, except for the shower. - The location is superb. The conversion of an old, historical property is stunning. Our room (Diva) only had a shower attachment over a free standing bath. The bathroom looked lovely but it was totally impractical.

It's a small hotel, rooms are unique ( 2 booked), roof terrace is stunning. Staff are friendly, happy to provide local information and always about to help. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

• VanessaCR (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - Let me start by saying that Palazzo Consiglia is a wonderful hotel. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 pre-teen and a teen). We stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved our time at this hotel and in Valetta. It is located a short walk (max 10 mins) from the main touristy streets like Republic and Merchant Streets. We were very happy to have our airport transfer drop us off right at the hotel. It seems that that is not the case for some other hotels we saw in the area because many streets near the touristy areas of Valetta are blocked or partially blocked to cars. Side note: I would not rent a car in Valetta. Parking seems to be very difficult, roads are really tight and as I said before, some roads are blocked off to cars. We were fine on foot and we used the public buses to go out of the city, without issue. Back to the hotel…We were impressed from the moment we set foot in the hotel. We arrived in the late evening straight from the airport. We were welcomed with a glass of orange juice and a very thorough explanation of the hotel and surrounding area. It was the best welcome to a hotel we have ever had. Really nice touch. The hotel is small (13 rooms) but so beautiful. I was really taken with the design/architecture. Buffet breakfast is included and they also give you the option to order from their a la carte breakfast menu (also included in the price - not an extra cost). The choices are great and they have a bit of everything. We also used their rooftop pool (not heated). Kids really enjoyed having a swim after a day of walking around in the sun. The staff was always very attentive and always wished us a nice day when leaving and greeted us upon our return. We got to know some of the guests as well and it was just lovely. All in all, a fantastic little hotel. I would 100% recommend it if in Valetta.
• Mazza07 (10/5): Best hotel stay ever - I am just home after a stay in this wonderful hotel in fabulous Malta. I can honestly say it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of a trip to Valletta in Malta. My adult Son treated me to this whole trip and he is even more well travelled than me and boy was he impressed. We were warmly welcomed by Tony who gave us a pocket history of the hotel, the town and recommended places to see and restaurants to eat. The whole ambience of this hotel is relaxed, comfortable and so friendly. The staff were professional and made us feel very special. Our rooms were individually decorated and had everything possible for a good stay. Breakfast was buffet style with cooked breakfast made to order. Everything was fresh and plentiful. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. I am not sure they need to make any improvements as it is just sheer perfection.
• Rachel91752 (10/5): Fabulous stay - Stayed here to celebrate my birthday for 3 nights and we were not disappointed. This quaint hotel is in a great location to explore Valletta. We were warmly greeted by Tony who took the time to give us some ideas for places to visit and information about the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, an old townhouse with a spa, underground pool and rooftop pool. The breakfast was delicious with continental buffet and hot options too. The hotel was immaculate, they kindly upgraded us as we were celebrating and stayed in the Mediterranean room which was huge, comfy bed and lovely shower. The rooftop pool was a welcome relief from the sun. We also booked to use the underground pool for an hour which you then have to yourselves which was also lovely. All the staff were wonderful, from the chef, waiters, cleaners to front of house, especially Tony who looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back here.

• tarelton1 (10/5): Once again did not disappoint - This was our 4th visit to The Palazzo Consignia as we would not stay anywhere else. All rooms are lovely the food at the breakfast has a great choice and very fresh. Brilliant location to everything Valletta has on offer. The service is excellent staff cannot do enough we always use the spa on arrival already having pre booked our treatments the girls are excellent at massage definitely recommend. And of course we will be back. Lilijania and Tony are very efficient keeping on top of everything
• Jackie (10/5): Beautiful - This was our third time staying at Palazzo Consiglia and it was as fabulous as always. The staff are so warm and welcoming and the hotel is just beautiful. We love relaxing by the pool. The complementary fresh fruit kebabs are a wonderful addition. Breakfast it super too. Already booked again for our wedding anniversary next year. Thank you to all the hotel team, you are wonderful.
• John078 (10/5): A Wonderful Hotel - An oasis of calm and tranquility with a great location close to numerous bars, restaurants and sightseeing opportunities. The breakfasts are fine and the bar drinks are reasonably priced. As others have commented the staff are wonderful and extremely attentive. Valletta is a fantastic base for a short break but please be advised that it’s very hilly and, in July, very hot.
• Chen (10/5): - A unique, highly curated and well thought out hotel. One of the coolest I’ve been to. And far from the touristy hustle bustle. The u aground spa and rooftop pool was the highlight.
• clairemW6476CV (10/5): Perfect location , friendly and full of character. - This is such a lovely hotel - full of character in a perfect location. 5 mins walk to great restaurants and bars yet on a quiet side street so no noise at night. Rooms all have their own character , some have no natural light but this keeps them nice and cool so no issue. Rooftop deck and pool were perfect for chilling after sightseeing , staff will bring you drinks up too. Breakfast was great - you can order eggs and full English as well as using the buffet. Best thing though was the staff - so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I revisit Valletta.
