Also enjoyed the vintage vibes of the riad. The staff was so kind both the lady at the reception and the woman cooking the breakfast. They helped with all the queries. And Younes went to buy a kettle for our baby. The rooms maybe could have a bit of a refresh to be a bit less dark.

The treatments were good, but I was surprised that the massage took place in a common area (in a hallway) separated only by curtains. I expected a bit more privacy for the price. Overall, it's a fantastic place, just be aware of the spa layout!

• Jens (9/5): Ein außergewöhnlicher Ort! Empfehlung an alle, die etwas besonderes suchen. - Die Lage des Riad in der Kasbah ist wirklich exzeptionell. Es liegt direkt am Atlantik, der Blick von den Terrassen, auf das tosende Meer – einzigartig! Der Riad selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat viele schöne Ecken und Nischen, in denen man sich aufhalten kann. Ich sind viele schöne Restaurants und Cafés erreichbar. Im Zimmer gibt es keine Heizung. Der Riad eignet sich daher weniger für Winterzeiten. Das Internet ist leider instabil.
• Canadas (10/5): If you are traveling for leisure and/or work, this is definitely the place to be in Essaouira - The Dar Cherazade is one of those architectural wonders, a real home outside of home, a labyrinth of beautiful spaces decorated with taste, both vintage and contemporary when it comes to art. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, and what we especially appreciated were the public areas with stupendous views onto the breaking waves and rocks. Absolutely nothing

• Alan (3/5): If it wasn't for only staying 2 nights we would have moved on in a flash! - The view was quite good. Our bedroom had the worst furniture in it than in any other hotel we have stayed in. The bedside tables were 10in high so you were at risk of falling out of bed if you wanted something from them. The bedside lamps were not a pair, one was 5ft tall, the other about 18in. Both were metal and RUSTY. The tall one stopped working after the first day. There were 2 child size seats in the bed area, one was broken, both were in a generally bad state. The room In front of the balcony had a tired pouffe and a low unpleasant table. The Balcony was barely wide enough to turnround on and the seats were tiny and damaged, stained and rusty. The little table there was wretched to look at. The door to the balcony was a large heavy affair, with 2 very large rusty bolts to secure it. You had to wash your hands after touching them. The shower room was barely adequate. The sink wasn't sealed so water would pour thru to your feet if you splashed or over filled it. The accommodation was very expensive for the conditions we were met with.

• Fabienne (6/5): Décevant par rapport aux attentes et aux photos mais très bonne situation . - L’emplacement idéal au cœur de la médina et sur les remparts. Personnel gentil et serviable. Le Riad n’est pas entretenu : les peintures s’écaillent, les meubles sont minimalistes de bric et de broc, impossible d’avoir de l’eau à une température correcte dans la salle de bain car les installations sont hors d’âge et l’écoulement inexistant. Les terrasses ont une situation magnifique mais ne sont pas non plus entretenues. En résumé c’est un endroit assez roots et pas très confortable…

Par contre , certaines chambres donne sur la médina, donc à bien vérifier à la réservation. Personnel très agréable et souriant. La wifi marche très bien à tous les étages. Le lit était très confortable et la chambre était propre. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au calme. Petite mention pour le café juste en face de la porte de l’hôtel (Café L’esprit), bon petit déjeuner, bonne ambiance sympa, terrace en roof top ;)

• Vanda (6/5): Pour personnes non exigeantes - L'emplacement Le wi-fi ne fonctionnait pas bien. Les équipements dans la chambre étaient manquants (sèche-cheveux, prises en suffisance, ...) Rien pour accrocher le pommeau de douche. Douches solidaires entre les chambres ce qui avait comme conséquence que si l'un prenait sa douche, l'autre n'avait plus d'eau chaude. Petit déjeuner passable.

• Maleen (8/5): - Die Lage ist sehr gut. Direkt in der Medina, aber trotzdem angenehm ruhig. Besonders die Aussicht auf das Meer ist wunderschön und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, weshalb es teilweise etwas riecht und zwischen Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer gibt es keine richtige Wand. Außerdem kann man nur in bar bezahlen, was etwas unpraktisch ist. Die Dachterrasse bietet eine tolle Basis, könnte aber noch schöner gestaltet werden.

• Cláudia Araújo (10/5): A hidden gem in Essaouira! - We loved our stay! There's a "homy" feel to this property - it does truly feel like staying at home. It is beautiful decorated. The views from the balcony... Wow! Our favourite little stop in all Essaouira - when we felt like escaping the outside "chaos" we just went back and sat at the comfy cushions outside and enjoyed the ocean view in complete silence. The room was perfect - great shower, very comfy bed. No A/C but we didn't need it really. The staff was all very nice and made sure our stay was very pleasant. Breakfast was great too :) I miss this place already. Nothing, everything was perfect!

In the medina area but quiet apart from a bit of early morning street noise. Friendly staff A shame that no drinks or snacks available apart from breakfast - it would have been nice to relax on the outside terrace with a tea or juice. Water in room was not topped up.

• Osman (5/5): Not Great. - The place is nice. Staying in the medina is always a good experience. Nice view on the ocean from the terrasse. Unfortunately the pros & cons about an old house. It has it charm, however it needs to be well maintained. - mattress was too soft and cushion high/hard. Had back pain in the morning - water in the shower was not draining properly - toilet roll paper missing. - got 2 bottles of water when arrived and then the day after 1 bottle (0.25L) was removed as I stayed alone. That’s a bit too much to be honest… - Old building = rooms are not soundproof. Lots of noise coming from the street and other rooms. - Essaouira is a nice place to relax but if you’re counting on the WiFi for some obligations, forget about it. The place is small and has 5/6 wifis system where you need to be individually connected to all of them. In my room, even the WiFi did not work. No signal as well. Needed to get out the room each time. Apologies, it seems like a long lists of things that I didn’t like. Hoping these will be a reason to improve.

• Frank Maiß (9/5): - Tolle Lage mit direktem Blick auf den Atlantik und auf die Stadtmauer von unserem Zimmer. Innenausstattung sehr geschmackvoll und künstlerisch. Tolles freundliches Personal. Leckeres Frühstück. Sehr gute Tipps für Restaurant Besuche.

• Agnès (10/5): Parties communes top ! - Vue exceptionnelle, terrasse relaxante avec sieste au soleil sur matelas coussins et plaid....riad avec haut plafond, très lumineux et chill, déco vintage et traditionnelle, bonnes vibes & énergies ! Hammam à recommander en fin de journée, emplacement très facile à pied de la porte bab marrachek. Prévoir chech et lunettes pour déambuler en suivant les remparts si sable et vent! Une suggestion pour la chambre lit jumeaux : rajouter crochet/porte manteau près de la douche pour les serviettes !
• jamila (10/5): - Gastvrijheid van Ibtisam, hygiene, lekker uitgebreid ontbijt. Locatie top alle kleine gezellige straatjes en restaurants op 5 min. Het uitzicht op de terassen TOP 🫠 Wij waren met de auto en de parking op 10 min stappen, wel waren er mensen met een kar voor te helpen met de valises.
• Abderrahim (10/5): Excellent relaxing experience - Everything was great, the owners and staff were extremely lovely and helped me with every need I had, they even asked me to stay after my checkout in the common area to enjoy the view while working. The Wifi was actually great, they had multiple ones so you'll just have to connect to all of them to ensure the best working experience wherever you sit.
• Carla (10/5): Excellent séjour - Personnel adorable et aux petits soins ! L'établissement est magnifique, tout comme la vue depuis la terrasse. La chambre est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner quant a lui est copieux et succulent ! Un peu excentré par rapport aux rues principales de la médina, les ruelles pour rentrer sont un peu sombres, mais c'est le prix a payer pour avoir une belle vue sur la mer
