- patrick (10/5): 6 stars out of 5 - no kidding - I rarely take the time to write a review. If/when I do so, it has to be for an exceptional reason - bad or good. This is the later one. The couple who owns and run this little charming hotel, Ana & Mike, have provided us with an exceptional quality of care - we arrived late as we wanted to go fishing before going to the hotel; when I booked she made sure we'll have the room where it was easiest for me to park my truck & boat; we found an injured pelican at sea that we bring back so it can be treated by an animal hospital, which was closed when we came back on land - so Ana handled the bird and organized for the hospital people to come pick it up the next morning, which gave serious chances for the bird to survive his injuries. I have been to an extensive number of hotels in my life, spending up to 120 nights per year in hotel for business. I had rarely experienced the level of care my friend and I were shown, and I believe this have to be shared on this platform if you plan to go for vacations or fishing in the region as we did. I surely will go there and nowhere else (unless fully booked) when I'll be coming back to Englewood.

- Laura (10/5): - If you're looking for old Florida charm in a pleasant, clean setting, this is your place! We stayed in the Comfort King which allowed us plenty of space during our extended stay. The small but comfortable seating area with coffee table plus separate dinette area, along with a partial kitchen, were hugely helpful. The best home away from home we could hope for, and at an extremely reasonable price. Ana is wonderful - friendly and helpful, responds quickly to inquiries, and worked with us on our needs and unusual timeframes. Place is quiet despite being just off the main road which, when we needed sleep the most, was of utmost importance. Ana let us have Amazon packages delivered there and, with our permission, left them in our room for our convenience. We liked this place so much, we made 3 additional reservations over the course of a month. For us, it was conveniently located - a few short miles (if that) in both directions to stores, restaurants, and the darling Dearborn Street section of town (do go visit some of the small shops there), as well as the intercoastal waters. Note: Be aware that they really want to keep up the cleanliness here for future visitors and as such are very particular about strong odors (foods) and stray hairs left all over (hello women). We were mindful about that and it was never an issue. If we're ever in town again, this will be the first place I will check for availability.

Don’t let its size fool you, it has all the amenities you need, with exceptionally clean rooms and a location that makes it easy to tour the area. That’s just the beginning!!! The beds, pillows, and linens are the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at a lodging property. The icing on the cake is the amazing customer service from the owner. My daughter and I felt like we were staying with family. We were treated so kindly and Anna went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Can’t wait to return!

Anna, the property manager, was wonderful and would ask if I needed anything and was very sweet and helpful. The hotel is clean and safe. I was pleasantly surprised with a lovely stay.

- Gina (10/5): Adorable - Wonderful get away weekend with everything we could need and very friendly Inn Keepers. The room was spotless! The grounds were beautiful! Proximaty to the beach and restaurants was perfect. The only drawback we found was the road noise. Once in the room we couldnt hear it but from the pool and front patio it was loud. Didnt bother us because we live near a busy road and are use to tuning it out. Everything else about this quant little hotel surpassed our expectations for the very reasonable price of the room. We would absolutely recommend and stay there again.

It was supplied with all the necessary amenities and then some. The outside was adorable too (landscaped well, cute murals, lovely flowers, nice porch chairs). The hotel was about a mile from the beach and at a good location. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend.

- Donna (10/5): Quiet & Quaint Motel - Kinda quiet quaint 50’s style motel. Very clean and comfortable. Hot water was great. Our room configuration was great for us. The beds were not next to each other but in 90* angles. So if one of us wanted to have the light next to bed on, we weren’t bothering the other person. Even had a book of local restaurants with menus and it’s right down the street from the beach that has the public parking area.

Clean (besides my feet getting a little dirty from walking on the floor after the shower), employees, location (3 minutes from beach, sometimes hard to get out of parking lot because its on a main road), bed was slightly hard but nothing that kept me up all night, I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN!

There are not many stay option motel/hotel wise currently in Englewood but this is a good and affordable option close to the beach with a central location. Older location but very clean and pleasant management. Owner also provided good restaurant recommendations. Thank you again.

Nice couch to watch TV. Room was very clean and well decorated with a beachy theme. I travel a lot and this was the best value for the money of any place I've ever stayed. Family owned and operated by a lovely couple.
- Roslyn (10/5): Vintage Florida at its best - This small motel-style hotel was such a great find! It oozes Florida with it's decor, distressed furniture, and laid-back style. The manager (owner?) was so nice and so casual in his shorts and flip-flops. The room was clean, a little kitchenette type with small sink, micro, toaster, coffee maker, and full size fridge. It had a little sitting area that was perfect for relaxing. Plenty of towels were provided and offered. The only drawback, if you want to call it that, was it is a little difficult to get into and out of at certain times of the day. We did not find it a problem, just an observation. If you like old Florida, Key-style places, this is for you.
