We asked if we could have the room till 12pm & a member of staff said that would be fine. All the staff were very courteous & nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate in the restaurant two nights & the food was exceptional. The general decor in the room & throughout the hotel was tired & needs updating.

The staff were friendly and did all they could to ensure everything was good The bed was comfy and the room was clean as was the bathroom. - tom (8/5): Characterful B&B with great service staff and prime quaint coastal location - Location: great for access to the east coast and cairngorms. Neighbour to a golf course and scenic coastal views at the seal beach. Quiet feel within a 1 minute of the main route Freedom of access day and night with a private car park area. Very welcoming of dogs in rooms and bar area. Staff were very friendly, approachable and accommodating, highly rate the service. Couple faulty or cheap items in the room. Access to the beach and golf course is past the windows where the rooms are located. This seems to get used to varying degrees throughout the night though there might be quieter periods. If you need to have the windows open during the night you could hear alot passing traffic. I couldn't say I noticed anything too much past 11pm.
- Julie (10/5): Recent stay - Loved our stay at the Newburgh Inn. We had a lovely room, comfortable bed, lovely hot shower, tea, coffee and bottled water provided. Staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and it was first class. Window blinds were a little difficult to operate.

- Adrienne (8/5): A great small, independent hotel where you are made to feel welcome. - Fantastic location, in the access road to the beach, where there is a boardwalk to view the seals. The staff were terrific, friendly and helpful and the food menu was broad, offering something for everyone. I especially appreciated the separate Gluten Free menu. The food was delicious! The bedroom was well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in the hotel was spotless. Because it is very early in the season, few people were staying in the hotel, resulting in a lack of atmosphere.

- Jacqueline (10/5): FABULOUS HOTEL, FABULOUS STAFF, FABULOUS FOOD....WIN WIN - The room was lovely and clean and comfortable... whole hotel looked like it had had a recent makeover - nice new bathrooms...carpets in good condition throughout. The food was exceptional - I am gluten intolerant and they had a full gluten menu....absolutely outstanding... I have stayed at many hotels and this is the first to produce such menu. I had the stake pie, veg and potatoes (without the pastry of course) and it was absolutely delicious. Completely melted in my mouth....delicious Nothing - I would stay here again no problem. Its very local if you are attending any area from Aberdeen and above - all the way to Fraserburgh.... at £49 a night... I have stayed in many hotels around this area and this will be my go to now.

Restaurant food was excellent, evening meal and breakfast, plenty of choice. Staff, polite, helpful and attentive. Great value overall. Nothing to warrant a bad review and minor issues already resolved after discussion with management.

- ELZBIETA (8/5): great stay, amazing staff, although there's room for improvement - what I really enjoyed: My room and bathroom were much larger than in comparable properties. I was able to adjust heating. I was happy to enjoy hot showers just like home, and water pressure was great. Evening meals were reasonably priced and very tasty. It was surprisingly quiet taking into account my room was directly over the pub/restaurant and facing main road. Highly recommended! Mattress on my bed was the old-style spring (not pocket) and not exactly very comfortable. Since I travelled alone I was able to find 'good areas' of the mattress to sleep ok. One thing that I'd really like to see improved is breakfast. I was delighted by variety on offer, but it soon turned into disappointment when my bacon&maple syrup pancakes arrived (I'd expect 4x amount of toppings for these 2 large crepes, it was just poor as it arrived)

The property let us down by having to go out the back entrance, walking with heavy suit cases right around the building on a muddy gravel car park. It advertises breakfast for walk ins on weekends but there was no-one around and the pub and restaurant were in complete darkness. It needs a window refurbishment, the kettle lid was broken, the toilet roll holder was loose and the shower had no hot water, which is a real shame as when we have stayed on previous occasions our stays were perfect.

Dinner was a bit of mix - everything was fine - 1 of us had the same thing over 2 different nights ( the chicken ) and 2nd time definitely was not as good as the previous time. - it was ok - but not great. Showers were great! both rooms over both weekends The locals in the bar changing the TV from Rugby to watch Arsenal v someone- without asking, was a bit annoying . The TV didn't work the 2nd time we stayed. We were also short a bath towel

Staff were very friendly. Plenty car parking space. Would recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing stay in a quiet location with excellent food. All was good.

- Marc (7/5): Only go back if improvements were donyto - The shower was good and a couple of staff were ok Dirty room when I was told the cleaners were going in and cleaned my coffee mug in the bathroom toilet, didn’t vacuum or make the beds , overall only put a biscuit in our room , the electric socket were lack of and different for our electric plugs ,
- Peter (10/5): Relaxing highland hideaway - Very nice Inn, very clean, nicely presented a touch of tartan here and there creating a relaxing highland getaway, friendly very helpful staff, the food was amazing and our room was very comfortable with proper blackout blinds (room 11) no waking up with the sun, an easy stroll down the road to Seal Beach. 5⭐️ experience, would stay here again.

Our room was spotless, and very comfortable. Bed linen and pillows were lovely, and clean and fresh. Bathroom was excellent with plenty of hot water. Shower was very good water supply. We had dinner at the Inn and it was delightful. The menu choices are very good, and our selections were truly delicious. Included breakfast was equally delightful. More than enough and variety was excellent. We were thoroughly satiated. Overall, it was a greatly impressive stay, and we would have loved a couple of more nights to relax in Newburgh. So much to see and beautifully relaxing stay.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Let down - Unfortunately there isn't too much positives regards this hotel. Great location for the seals but thats about it. The blonde waitress (colour for ref as didnt catch name) was attentive and helpful. The room was tired, mattress was bent like a banana some switches weren't working, pull out sofa bed was torn, no working tv channels etc. I know this hotel has had some issues from previous ownership but if your not prepared for guests dont take bookings it wasent worth the cost.
- Michele (8/5): - Our stay was lovely and restful. We were in room 11 which has a double aspect. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable. Shower hot. Decorated nicely. The only downside was no TV as sky was down. The lovely Scottish breakfast was plentiful and hot. Staff very welcoming and helpful. And best thing deal beach is only a 6 month nute walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was good but slightly slow service which wasn’t our servers fault as she was very busy & working alone. She was very friendly. Bar stayed open late which worked well with us catching up with friends. And the bar staff were great, didn’t feel like they were rushing us at the end of the night.

The staff were really nice, friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious - we had an evening meal and the free breakfast in the lovely restaurant which is also dog friendly. When the restaurant area was closed, you could use the bar. It had an outdoor area and parking facilities. Really enjoyable accommodation/stay and would definitely recommend it !

- Jennifer (10/5): - The staff were all excellent - welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious - lots of options in a relaxed restaurant. The Sunday carvery was also delicious - plentiful choice of vegetables and sides. The room was very comfortable - we had a very relaxing stay.

- Lee (10/5): Great service, great food, great night stay !! - My stay at The Newburgh Inn was very enjoyable from start to finish. I stayed one night, I ate dinner and had a drink in the bar while watching football. All of the staff from checking in, the bartenders/servers and the chef to checking out was friendly and professional. The food was delicious, the room was very cosy and clean. I would highly recommend The Newburgh Inn and will definitely be returning for a stay. A wonderful experience !!

- Tony (6/5): - Good stay and the facilities were nice, but marred by the fact that after I had driven 400 miles to get there arriving at 20:03, I was refused any food being told that the kitchen closed at 20:00, despite the fact people were still eating in the restaurant! Poor service I am afraid.
- Nicole (10/5): Goodbye to Dad, Flash & me. - I stayed to commemorate my Dad who died last year & I received everything I was looking for. It’s only me & my dog, Flash who stayed & it rained like the heavens had opened but all the staff were really good to me & couldn’t do enough for either of us. The room was lovely, comfy & quiet & we strolled about down to the beach, which was just like heaven. It was perfect & the chefs are very adept at serving up the best food. Brilliant all round & just what I needed.
