Guest Reviews
- Marilyn (10/5): excellent accomodations - the room was big clean and had a pleasant smell.
- Nicholas (8/5): - Solid for the price.
- William (10/5): - Just an overnight stop. The room was clean and quiet and front desk check-in was friendly. There wasn’t much around, but we took a short walk to very nice diner.
- Josiah (6/5): Bathroom needs work - The floor felt really dirty, and it got worse with our stay. It made our feet black on our first night, even though we took our shoes off at the door. The bed was really comfortable at least, but the bathroom was worrisome. There were black spots along the ceiling, the fan wasn’t strong enough for the amount of steam that occurred from a shower. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough to keep the water in the tub area so the floor would get really wet. I noticed after the first shower that the steam made the walls look sweaty and a weird smell started to come from the bathroom after every shower. Overall, the room met our needs, but we couldn’t shower with the door closed and had to leave the fan on even if it was cold outside or the smell would get too strong.
- Amy (10/5): - The staff were very accommodating and super nice! Clean, nice sized room.
- William (10/5): - Staff was a definite plus. The condition of the room was also most nice. There were a couple of minor flaws (which I did not report because I left when nobody was available:
The tv remote had an issue with the battery cover (it had slightly broken, and didn’t properly close but still functioned fine)
The closet had gotten its hangers stolen by presumably prior guests (I had brought a couple of hangars with me and didn’t need any more).
The shower was particularly nice and the bed was quite wonderful; everything was clean and the room was well-equipped in all particulars.
I had decided to depart earlier than planned (having mostly finished what might have been four days, almost on the first day - before I had actually checked in! The manager was extremely accommodating and I was permitted to change from four nights, down to two! I saved half of the anticipated charges, with no
penalty and minimal effort. I am delighted with my entire trip (except the horrible traffic I faced both ways when passing near New York City and parts of Connecticut).
- Susan (10/5): - Nice people
- Laura (10/5): - Very nice room and clean. Will definitely be staying here again.
- Mark (8/5): Nashoba Inn Ayer, MA - No frills hotel/Inn/Motel, but clean room, decent internet and cable tv, quiet, really good water pressure, and great hot water. For the price it was good.
- Brittany (2/5): - Sketchy at best… room smelled like an ashtray.. to the point that everything I brought (clothes, shoes, etc. smelled like cigarettes) questionable people in and out slamming hotel room doors, car doors all night long. Heavy police presence. No safety latch on door, just the turn lock. Definitely do no recommend this inn.
- Karla (8/5): - Great customer service
- Billie (2/5): - Run down
- Judy (10/5): - We needed a room for one night. Bed was SO comfortable. Room was clean. Price was excellent and the staff was great!!
- Khalid (4/5): - I called ahead to confirm my reservation and provided my confirmation number. I was told they couldn’t find the reservation but that I could still come since they had rooms available. When I arrived, they said they hadn't received any confirmation from Expedia, but they went ahead and gave me a room anyway—without asking for payment. It felt like they may have given away my original room and placed me in one that hadn’t been used in a long time. I wasn’t happy with how the situation was handled, but at least I had a place to sleep.
- Anthony (10/5): - Great service. Comfortable beds. Very good internet. Will be back
- John (8/5): - Not the type of hotel I normally stay at, but there are very few choices in this area. That said I was happy with the general room condition and the bed was comfortable. These are the things that mater to me the most.
- Russell (10/5): - Check-in was quick & easy. Gentleman was friendly! Nice quiet area. Would go back again. Property is doing renovations as well..NICE!!!
- emily (8/5): - good
- Renata (10/5): - Decent on a budget place
- Verified traveler (2/5): Overcharged, lied to, and refused a refund - I originally booked my stay through hotels.com for two nights, and was told the total would be $197.56. I opted for free cancellation, and actually ended up canceling the first night before the cutoff date. I was given the updated total as a confirmation of the cancellation, now $132. In the end we ended up not going - and I was very surprised to see a charge in my bank account for $249.90. Notice that was more than either of my trip confirmations! When I called the hotel, they said they had no record of my itinerary or the charges. I have now spent several days calling and speaking with hotels.com agents trying to sort this out.
- Walter (10/5): - Great area! Lot of options for breakfast nearby
- alicia (4/5): - When we checked in, we were over charged. As we left the office there were 3 police cars in the lot and they were speaking with someone staying there. If I hadn’t just gone through paying we would’ve left. The next morning police cars were circling the parking lot and as I looked out the window one of them took a picture of me and my license plate. I’m not sure if this was a fluke or if this was the normal for the area, but I wouldn’t rebook for another trip.
- nicholas (6/5): - Slow sink drain, wrong size seat on toilet, NO HAIRDRIER. Otherwise, a decent stay.
- David (10/5): - Good enough for my family should be for yours
- Greg (10/5): - Right next-door to a grocery store, dollar store across the street Dunkin’ Donuts less than a mile downtown train station all kinds of restaurants a mile and a half just redid the whole hotel
- David (6/5): Bait and switch! - Bait and switch!! The room shown on the app is nothing like the Rome I got. It was supposed to have a small kitchen area with a stove top, apartment size refrigerator and a microwave. I purchased food to cook only to find myself in a room with no stove and a tiny refrigerator that couldn't hold what I had planned to cook but now couldn't. I spoke to the person at the desk and he just smiled and said "that's what they had".
- Linda (2/5): - I would rate this place horrible. They messed up my reservation, and then when I tried to call, nobody answered, and then when I finally got somebody on the day, I was supposed to be checking out, which I never checked in to begin with was very rude and told me there’s nothing he can do that. They took my money anyway And charged me for not even being there. They are disgusting and rude and then when I told them they were thief. He hung up in my face.
- Anthony (10/5): - Clean rooms. Really good internet. Comfortable beds. Good house keeping. I think its family ran and they are all friendly.
- Nick (8/5): - Standard motel. They were renovating but the room was clean and they brought fresh towels and cleaned daily.
- Rene (4/5): Not that good - The room was ok not really all that. The shower wasn't working at all. The ice machine wasn't working neither, the room had a weird smell to it.
- Abhijit (10/5): - Great experience fast check in good location
- Dale (10/5): - Excellent motel I recommend it to everyone
- Zunaid (10/5): - Excellent customer service, value for money including amenities.
- Jess (6/5): - The furnishings were minimal for what was charged. Furniture was clean and dusted, but bare floors were filthy. Desk staff were polite and helpful.
- Joy (6/5): - The room was clean but very basic, and was quiet after 10 PM. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well, the tv and internet were fine, and the desk staff was very welcoming and responded quickly when we needed more towels. The floors seemed to have been refinished recently and made our socks all brown. The room itself did not smell but we had to walk by smokers sitting outside the rooms near to ours to get to our door. One very odd thing was that the bed was made up with a blanket between the top and bottom sheets, and even though we removed the blanket each day, it was made back up the next day that way again. All in all, not a bad place but old, basic, and totally lacking in charm.
- Joseph (4/5): - Pros:
Inexpensive
Friendly staff
Comfortable bed
Good water pressure
Has A/C
Cons:
Dirty floors and bathroom
Poor air quality - damp must moldy basement smell
We generally take it easy on inexpensive owner operated motels and don't expect much besides a clean and safe room to rest. Unfortunately the floors were quite dirty, the shower and shower curtain was dirty, and there was someone else's dirty razor and shavings in the bathroom.
Air quality was poor with a strong damp and musty smell that I wouldn't want to breath for more than one night.
Potential is there for a good stay if these issues are addressed in future.
- EDWARD (8/5): - Looks like a decent job upgrading an otherwise very dated property.
- Lydia (10/5): - Good
- Milaine (4/5): - The pictures that you see on the website or elsewhere are the clean/washed/ photoshopped pictures of the place. It's the worse that I ever saw, after years of going to hotel/motel.
Owners are nice, place needs to be updated.
- Lynne (10/5): - This is an old place, but the rooms are clean, and the mattresses are very comfortable. The person at check in was polite and friendly. It’s quiet, too.
- Ward (8/5): - Clean, basic room. TV wasn't setup right vs no instructions on proper use of remote and staff not in office late at night so didn't want to disturb them for TV instructions.
- Peter (4/5): - the shower was not working
- Kevin (8/5): - Small, older room. Area is safe. It is family owned and run. They were very nice to deal with.
- Sharon (10/5): - Great value
- philip (8/5): - Very nice room
- Caylin (8/5): Great Road stop - Perfect spot for a long road trip through the northeast. We needed a place to rest on our 36 hour long road trip and this was a nice spot to lay our heads down for the night. Owners are in the process of renovating the place and are doing a great job! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the insides are being gutted are replaced with a more modern feel. The bed was comfortable and had enough room for our pup. Our bathroom had everything you needed, just needed some finishing touches. Would stay here again.
- Kimrah (10/5): Don’t judge this place by the outside! - The outside is under renovation. This is a family owned hotel. The owners are super kind hardworking and pleasant people. They are reasonable if you are reasonable. I truly enjoyed my stay and how clean the room was.
- Kristin (10/5): - Very clean nice rooms very friendly staff
- Eileen (4/5): - Disappointed walking into a dirty bathroom & horrible smell. Smell coming from not having regular fresh air flow.
Bedding was clean. Chrck in was quick & easy.
- ROBERT (10/5): - I was met by a very nice man and his two little children. Very polite and thorough check in, making sure I was set. Clean and inexpensive room for the night. Was everything I expected. Thank you!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Car was broken into 2 nights in a row
- Yanilda (10/5): - Precio, conveniente y fácil para casi todo
