Guest Reviews
- Stefan (10/5): Anlage toll, Zimmer toll.

- Heidi (6/5): - The thatched roofed room had no smoke detectors and smelt like I was sleeping in a Smokey chimney or fire pit!
Staff were lovely
- Arthur (10/5): Pricey but incredible stay at Amanzi worth every penny - Breakfast was incredible , the views were unmatched in Harare and the general service was top notch. You wouldn’t expect such a magnificent chalet experience in a city that sort of thing is normally reserved for luxury lodges on safari b ur the good folk at Amanzi have pulled it off. The staff are outstanding as well and respond extremely promptly to any queries. Finally the rooms themselves and the bathrooms in particular are unmatched in Harare The only two problems were electricity issues due to load shedding in Harare. The generators on site were turned off at midnight which meant total darkness till 5 that wasn’t the greatest.
- James (7/5): Good -

Cuisine was delicious and the staff were brilliant 🤩

The staff are friendly, offering service that is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is first class with a wide selection of delicious meals. To cap it off all of this is available at very affordable rates.

- Beatrice (10/5): What a piece of heaven they have created in this space. - BEAUTIFUL location, amazing staff, clean, well organized, good value for money, quiet, great food. There are neighbors to a property who has dogs and they bark a lot at night so it did keep me up one night.
- Edward (7/5): We had a pleasant stay - The property was very beautiful, so many trees that brought about a cool breeze on a hot sunny day. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly The rooms, especially the bathroom seem to not be cleaned very well. There was a funny smell coming from the bathroom
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): - Amanzi lodge is beautiful! The gardens, are well manicured, tranquil. Staff are attentive, friendly and the breakfast that comes with the room, amazing! My laundry gets done and ironed on the same day with relatively and reasonably price! I would recommend this place to my friends and family! Will definitely return to stay here again in the near future!
- Hazel (9/5): Superb -
- Nyembezi (10/5): My husband and I enjoyed the quiet, comfortable stay. It was his first time in Zimbabwe from US. - I invited my family for dinner, but it would have been nice if we had been told ahead of time that kids under the age of 12 were not permitted. I respect the resort's policy, obviously it's for a reason, nevertheless this vital information prevents unnecessary inconveniences. Thanks for your consideration.
- Glen (8/5): Very good -
- Edward (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable and easy. A bit far from the town centre
- Miranda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parson (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (10/5): One of the best lodges I’ve stayed in! - I absolutely loved everything about the property. Great service, great food, great greenery, and amazing decor. The value for money was absolutely superb! I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone staying in Harare. Nothing to fault!
- Fidelis (7/5): Fantastic - Very nice service . Breakfast was fantastic but we went out for dinner so missed out on dinners at the restaurant Decor in Uganda suite was not your liking. Room is dark with dark curtains and animals hanging on walls. We requested a change of rooms
- Anna (5/5): Disappointing stay - The property is set in a nice, lush garden. It is tastefully decorated. The rooms are quite spacious with nice African decor. We stayed in the hotel for one night on a long layover before our flight home. I chose this hotel specifically as the stay coincided with my birthday and I hoped for a nice day in this beautiful property. Unfortunately it turned out a disappointing stay.
The property is set in a nice, lush garden. It is tastefully decorated. The rooms are quite spacious with nice African decor. It all sounds good, but:
1. In my booking form I indicated that it's my birthday and I would like to get a nice room. We got one of the worse rooms in the complex (while the hotel was not full at all) - cold, dark, at the outskirts of the complex
2. the staff was friendly and well trained but it was surprisingly difficult to get things done as they did not seem to be helpful at all. We asked for help in sightseeing arrangements in Harare and had to follow up a couple of times to actually get something organized. There was very little proactivity to help us in our arrangements and ensure we have a good time in the city and we were left to our own research and ideas to plan what we can do in Harare.
3. The onsite restaurant has a questionable value for money. Again, the place is beautifully decorated, the staff is professional but...the food was nothing special for the price quoted. During the dinner, my husband proactively stated that it's my birthday, hoping for some minimal nice gesture from the staff. Nothing. We ordered our food, ate, paid the bill.
Overall I'm very disappointed and will have pretty poor memories about my birthday stay in this hotel. Very poor experience and very poor value for money.
- Milena (9/5): Superb - Delicious breakfast in a lovely surrounding and great service.
Abiluty to chill on the hotel premises and enjoy multiple comfort areas (by the pool or fireplace in evenings) Pool is not big enough to swim, especially if there were multiple people to use it at the same time.
- Martinho (8/5): excellent place to stay for business or measure. the decor is fabulous! - decor nothing
- Nandiswa (9/5): Superb - Amanzi Lodge is a tranquil beautiful place with an elegant African touch
- Sylvester (8/5): Very good -
- Sylvester (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Sandra (10/5): - Lovely quiet property Amazing staff. Food selection could be more choices. Their sister restaurant Wombles with free shuttle fabulous.
- Margaret (10/5): - Such an experience to stay at this unique beautiful lodge . The cottages are exquisite as are the lush grounds . The staff and the service outstanding . Highly recommend
- Sylvester (10/5): - Very lush and green gardens
- Nyasha (9/5): Superb -
- Dr (1/5): Bad - n/a the place is very dirty. wonder how it’s a 5*.
no backup when they is no electricity.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (7/5): Good -
- Ackim (8/5): A masterpiece! - Clean and naturally beautiful N/A
- Marc-arthur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (10/5): - I stayed only one night and regret not staying more! The Moroccan Suite was beautiful and the fine dining restaurant on site was delicious! Staff was generous and helpful.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ackim (8/5): very wonderful - The setup and natural appearance
- Mohammad (10/5): worth every dollar spent - Very Cousy
- Tinashe (9/5): Lovely stay. Will definitely stay there again. - Lovely lodges, spacious. Set in beautiful enclosed
grounds. The staff were brilliant, helpful, polite and
courteous.
I had a spa treatment from Melody. She was amazing.
I highly recommend booking a spa treatment. Some of the wall in the bathroom was peeling. It
could do with a small makeover. Plus the cushions
on the bed smelt of cigarettes.
- Omid (10/5): - Fantastic experience, thank you to the great staff.
