Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Solid guest lodge - This guest lodge is lovely and modern and is located in a good location that is both walkable and convenient. The service needs to be improved a bit as the breakfast often started late and took too long to arrive to the table so it wasn't convenient for folks that were eating on the go before work. The mattresses are also very hard and not comfortable. They left me with a backache most days. Other than that rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and the staff are accommodating especially Alyona (who would really go above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable and happy).
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely Lodge - Beautiful garden, homely feel, gracious rooms, excellent service and food
- Alenore Cecilia (10/5): Very clea. - It was great.
- paula (8/5): Good hotel with friendly staff - The service was good - friendly and helpful staff. Safe was not working when we got the room; they couldn't fix it so replaced the entire thing. The river view room - which is more expensive - was quite small -- the two twin beds were basically attached to each other as there was no extra room space to separate them slightly. (We learned later that the non-view rooms are supposed to be bigger). The room as absolutely infested with mosquitos, especially when we pulledthe curtains and the mosquito net. It is of course endemic to the area at that time of the year, but also shows they are not going in to shake things around, clean and spray.
The most impressive thing about this hotel is the possibility of seeing wild animals for to the property at night - and you can ask them to wake you up if any are spotted. We saw an elephant having a snack by the pool one night when coming in from dinner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet garden retreat - Beautiful hotel and gardens, quiet and peaceful, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Harare. Staff are all excellent, especially chef Sam. Cooked-to-order breakfasts were decadent. My only complaints are the number of insects that found their way into my room at night through the vents in the walls, and the odor of burning trash coming from the neighbor's yard.
